I've always wanted to try my hand in this cut storyboard scene, but could never find the time...but if I couldn't do it for DA kiss week then when can ya? I wanted the rain, I wanted the wet hair and the kind of desperate embrace.

On Tearstone Island while Bellara or Neve dealt with the wards, Rook could explore the gods' lair, listen a few banter with companions, and help with the wards. In the game, this location is marked as the Inner Sanctum, but there is no interaction there, it can only be seen in a cutscene. The most remarkable thing here is the two thrones with two dragon statues on the sides.

Technically, banter related to this place can be triggered, although the voice acting was completely removed. Pity. But at least I don't have to manually sort the lines as I usually do, because the text is structured.

Bellara: You could look around, Rook. I'll need a minute with these wards. Neve: You can check the place out. I'll be a minute with the wards. Rook: Do you think… is this where Ghilan'nain and Elgar'nan live? Harding: Ugh. It must be, with all this blight. Davrin: That'd explain why the Calling's so loud. Rook: Right? Like a gong. Rook: You okay, Davrin? Davrin: Assan's snoring is worse. Rook: Is this what the world will look like if the gods pull all the blight from the Fade? Emmrich: I wonder if they even realize it. How everything they touch is twisted. Taash: How could they not? This whole place is messed up!

Onclick banter.

Emmrich (romance line): I'll be glad to leave this place, dearest. Emmrich: I'll be happy to put these chambers behind us. Emmrich: Even without the gods, there are echoes of… presences, here. Taash: This place stinks. Taash: It's not just the blight. I can smell the Antaam. I think this is where she changed some of 'em. Taash: It's… it's messed up. Really messed up. Lucanis: Spite is miserable here. Even for him. Lucanis: Like a cat that caught scent of a lion. Lucanis (Spite): Stay! Back! Too much! If Neve was chosen to dismantle the wards Bellara: Just being here raises every hair on my neck. Bellara: Oh! What does this artifact do, though? Emmrich: Nothing we can risk exploring at the moment. Bellara: I know! (Sighs) I know. If Bellara was chosen to dismantle the wards Neve: Well, isn't this a treat? Standing right in the home of the gods. Neve: Wonder if they'll fix it up, or look for a brand new palace. If Davrin was chosen to lead distraction team Davrin: (Hissing in pain) Those Antaam can really swing a sword. Rook: Davrin? Are you all right? Davrin: For a minute? Thought our half of the team was done for and I'd have to send Assan over to you. Davrin: But we're still standing. Whatever it takes. Assan: (Determined squawk) Davrin: The gods definitely spent a lot of time here. I can tell. If Harding was chosen to lead distraction team Harding: (Tired sigh) Let's take a minute to catch our breaths. Rook: Are you okay, Harding? Harding: I won't lie: Between the Antaam and the darkspawn, it was rough out there. Harding: But we'll get you through. Whatever it takes. Harding: It must have been beautiful here, once. Sure can't see it any longer.

The wards still holds.

Bellara: Damn it! Lucanis: Something wrong? Bellara: I'm fine! The wards are just tricky. More than I thought they'd be. Neve: Venhedis! Lucanis: Are you all right? Neve: Oh, I'm fine. Damn ward's just more of a puzzle than it looked.

Rook checks Bellara/Neve

Rook: How's it going? Bellara: Terrible. Well, doable. Rook, maybe you can help. Bellara: I can get around this with a tuning resonator. See if there's a crystal in here and tap it once. Neve: Looks like a two-person job. Maybe you can help. Neve: Won't be pretty, but look for runes painted in blood. Read them out loud for me. Rook: On it.

Rook finds crystal/runes

Rook: I found that crystal, Bellara. Feels like it's… pulsing. Bellara: Right. Just like in Arlathan. It's pulsing with the blight's resonance. Bellara: I can open the door now. Just say when. Rook: Found those runes. They say… "The Blood of the Faithful shall protect the Twin Crowns." Neve: Of course. Two gods. Two different locks. Neve: I can get this open when you're ready.
