brief reviews of all the manga i read while i was procrastinating from finishing my anime reviews
instead of actually watching a lot of the new anime that's coming out this season, and also instead of writing the anime reviews i had been planning to write for the previous three and a half months, i read a ton of manga in my downtime. here's what i read:
kindergarten wars: action romcom? say fucking less. it nails both sides of that dichotomy very well, though i'm still waiting for a little more commitment to the romance side. it gets surprisingly heavy at times and those emotional beats pack some serious punches. this is gonna make a banger of an anime one day.
blue box: save for dungeon meshi and maybe frieren, this is my favorite manga i've picked up so far this year. a damn good slice of life romance and a damn good sports manga at the same time. i'm beyond excited for the anime this fall.
hirayasumi: god, this rips. cozy as fuck, sweet as all get out, but doesn't shy away from portraying its characters as jealous, selfish people when things don't go their way. the art has a lovely sketchy vibe to it; almost gives off "grown up skip and loafer" vibes, and how appropriate that the scanlation group handling it also does skip and loafer! already bought the first volume.
kagurabachi: i hated the memes surrounding this manga when it debuted and never once found them funny, but i eventually gave in and picked it up while it's still relatively new. it's solid! i can see this continuing to improve as the mangaka finds more of a voice. some really excellent splash pages and i can see this being adapted into a really good-looking anime somewhere down the line.
the way of the househusband: it's pretty one-note as gag manga go, but it's a very funny note. seeing an ex-yakuza tackle daily mundanity with the exact intensity you'd expect is always great. it can get a little repetitive, and it even lampshades its running jokes, but it still works most of the time. the art is OUTSTANDING in this too.
telework yotabanashi: i already talked about this when i finished it and it's a short one but it's worth mentioning. kintetsu yamada can do no wrong. i adored sweat and soap so i knew i was gonna like this one, and i was right! very satisfying despite its length and a very lovely story for a very specific moment in time.
tales of wedding rings: yes, the anime drove me halfway insane until i dropped it, and i went ahead and read the manga anyway. it's decent as trashy isekai go. the story goes in a slightly unexpected direction and it's very slowly approaching the finish. the surprising thing was that all of the nudity in the anime was anime-original; the manga doesn't really lean into full-on nudity until a major story climax (lol) and from there the floodgates burst open (lol). my complaints from watching the anime still stand, and the anime still looks like dogshit (especially compared to the source material), but i'll finish it out.
i also read nozoki ana but uh, we're not gonna talk about that today.

Hi, everyone! This is @sapphic-agent speaking! I went ahead and made the new blog just to have it set up. I won't be active on it for a while- at least not until I either finish the anime or read the manga- but when I am it will be mostly bouncing ideas around, discussing what went wrong in canon, giving shunned characters real arcs, and fixing character arcs that were lacking in canon.
As I said before, this isn't a full fledged rewrite. I don't think I have the time or the energy to commit to that. If I feel inspired, I may write little excerpts here and there. But other than that, this blog will primarily be discussion-based. Unlike my main blog, this one will be a little more serious. While I still won't treat characters like Bakugou, Aizawa, and Endeavor kindly, this blog won't be me just mindlessly bashing them. I do that enough on my mainš¤·š¾āāļø
Rules
Be Civil: Don't be dicks to each other. I almost never see that from the people who frequent these tags, but this is just to make sure. No racism, homophobia, misogyny, transphobia, etc. No insults or threats or harassment. And please, no holier-than-thou attitudes. Everyone interprets the story differently and that's okay. Don't assume you know better because your opinion is different. The point of this blog is to be open to everyone's perspective. Just keep the discussions friendly, okay?
Be Constructive: I don't mind what you say about the fictional characters/plot/Horikoshi in the tags or reblogs, but I do ask that you keep the asks rewrite related. This is to a) keep the blog focused on one topic and b) keep my ask box from getting flooded. Questions are fine as long as they pertain to the rewrite.
Be Patient: I would like to go through every arc one by one. So if we're on the Sports Festival, it doesn't make sense to suddenly jump to the Shie Hassaikai, you know? It helps me keep things organized here
Scroll: If you're a Bakugou, Aizawa, or Endeavor fan, I recommend not visiting this blog. At best, they're all facing harsh criticism. At worst, they'll be given extreme consequences. Get gone if that bothers you. If you harass me or anyone else about it, you'll immediately be blocked. This isn't a space that's meant for you, kindly respect that.
No Shipping: I'm staying FAR away from shipping in this. I've never really shipped anyone in MHA hardcore (the closest maybe being MomoJirou), so I have no qualms leaving it out entirely. Don't ask me about any ships, none of them are going to be written by me. Only wholesome platonic relationships up in hereš¤
Keep asks focused on THIS rewrite. This blog isn't meant for giving advice or critiquing ideas for your own rewrites. If I'm ignoring your asks I'm not trying to be mean, but it just doesn't pertain to what I want to do here. I'm going to be deleting the asks I've already answered about this because it feels as though the blog is getting cluttered with them
I'm pretty sure that's it. I might add more rules if needed, so check in on this post every once in a while (I'll pin it). Can't wait to start on this after I get through this dumpster fire!
Stay tuned, everyoneš

Aaaaaand here's my second contribution for the @flash-exchange! and this was written for the darling @spoopy-fish-writes. I had the idea for this pretty early and I can't stop giggling at it, honestly.
Title: Mischief
Characters: Will/Fem!reader, Sebastian, Dazai
Prompt: Kabedon
Tags: fluff, kabedon, Dazai being a lil shit, Sebastian isn't helping
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā You had just finished making that evening's coffee with Sebastian, making light conversation with him. You reminisced about some things from your original time, lightly complaining that so many of the romance books you tried to read could use a little moreā¦ impact. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āHonestly, there are so many scenes that could be amplified with a kabedon, but that didn't even come about in our time until the 1980's,ā you sighed. You were glad you hadn't picked up the whole tray as a voice from behind made you jump. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āKabe-don?ā Turning quickly you saw Dazai leaning in the doorway, a lazy smile on his face and a contrasting mischief in his eyes. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āGood evening, Dazai. Yes, a kabedon. She's referring to a moment in modern Japanese manga and animation in which one character essentially somewhat traps another character against a wall.ā Sebastian moved to the wall and displayed the position. āNow, imagine there's another person between me and the wall with them facing me. My flat hand hits the wall beside the other person's head. Kabe for wall, don for the sound the impact makes. Usually there is romantic tension between the two characters.ā You felt yourself blushing as Sebastian explained. You swore you saw a spark in Dazai's gaze as he acted unphased with the new information. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āI see. It dramatically raises tension between two characters. The sudden proximity, an air of dominance. Hm. Thanks for the tip.ā He smiled coyly before leaving you and Sebastian in the kitchen. A heavy sigh left your lips and you pinched the bridge of your nose. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āWhy do I have a bad feeling about this?ā - Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā The night was getting long and as much as you and Will loved to visit the mansion for dinner occasionally, you were both ready to go home. The interaction earlier with Dazai had all but left your mind as the two of you walked from the carriage stop back home. That was until you both reached the house and Will lingered instead of unlocking the door. You looked at him curiously. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āWill?ā You prompted him softly with his name, his playful and heated gaze making you shiver. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āApologies, dear heart. Mine mind hath wandered,ā he grinned, pressing a kiss to your temple before proceeding to unlock the door. You knew him well enough to know there was something on his mind but there would be a time and place for bringing it up. Thankfully the wait was short because as soon as you were both insideā¦ Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā *don* Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Your back was suddenly against the wall, heart racing as you looked wide-eyed up at Will. Your stomach fluttered excitedly as he crowded your space. His hand had landed firmly on the wall by your head and his smirk made you blush. He couldnāt help but chuckle as your cheeks turned a brilliant shade of pink and he brought his hand up to caress one with his thumb. āMy, my. Curiouser and curiouser,ā he murmured. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āW-Willā¦ā you stuttered softly, beginning to pout as the pieces slowly came together in your mind. āDid you speak with Dazai tonight by chance?ā He laughed and leaned in closer, pressing a kiss to the tip of your nose. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā āI know not of what you speak,ā he grinned as your pout deepened. āThoughā¦ I suppose thanks is owed to him for this mostā¦ gratifying reaction. Iāll have to employ this guileful tactic more often, no?ā

Ace x reader
His hat
Anime/Manga: One Piece
"GIVE ME MY HAT BACK!!!" screams Ace running towards the deck. You remain laying on your bed with the arms under your head and Aces hat laying on your face. A smirk is crawling onto your lips as Aces voice gets quiter what means he ran of towards the wrong direction.Ā
After 10 minutes of not hearing the freckle boy running around screaming you make your way towards the deck, still wearing his hat.Ā
Ace is talking to Marco, the back towards you.
"You really haven't seen her?" Ace asks the older one who just spottet you cursing a smirk on his face.Ā
"No why are you asking?"Ā
Ace points at his head which makes the phoenix laugh. "My hat is gone that's not funny!!" he pouts.Ā
"What makes you think she has stolen it?" the Phoenix tries not to laugh as you tip toe close to them.Ā
"Who else would do that? She's been stealing my things for the last couple of days." Ace groans,.that's when you step next to him.Ā
"What's up?" you ask casually, and Marco is finally able to laugh.Ā
"Y/N!" Ace jumps in confusion. One he spots his hat though he tries to snatch it from your head.
"You've gotta catch me if you want it back~" you winks before running off.Ā
At first Ace doesn't move. "Catch her huh? You're so done when I catch you."Ā
"Ah, young love. They really are blind." Marco says to himself, watching Ace run after where you've ran.Ā
"y/n where are you?!" Ace has been running around for ten minutes now is growing impatient.Ā
"I've seen her run down that way a few seconds ago." Thatch tells Ace, who runs off towards you immediately.Ā
"Awww no place to escape to now?" Ace doesn't hide his sarcasm. But you don't quite react like he predicted. "W-why are you laughing?"
"It's just funny that, after a whole week, you have finally been able to catch me." you laugh, leaning onto the wall behind you.Ā
"Why would you want me to catch you?" Ace tries to figure out what's going on but you remain silent. "Tell me why you stole my head."Ā
"Make me." you smirk, hoping he'll finally gets the hint.Ā
"How? Trap you in my fire until you speak?" the clueless men in front of you asks.Ā
"Oh ace..." you sigh. "You won't ever get it."Ā
Throwing his hat back to his owner you close your eyes, head resting against the wall. /It didn't work. It never works. Why would he give me attention anyways. We're only crewmates/
"Get what?" he asks, his anger washed away once his hat is back on its place.Ā
"Forget it. It's stupid, not important." you force a smile.Ā
"You're the smartest person on this ship, it can't be dumb." Ace points out, stepping closer to you until he's half a meter away. One arm supporting himself above you.Ā
"Wow, congrats that you noticed that." the sarcasm in your voice making him frown.Ā
"How couldn't I? You're spending most of your time in the library. Marco even said that your knowledge for medicine is on the same level as his. You're even able to read the stars and navigate us and-"Ā
"So you did notice me?" you ask, eyes staring at your feet. "Why do you always run away when I talk to you then?"Ā
"Cause I'm dumb, all I do is sleep, eat and fight. I neve thought you'd enjoy talking to me."Ā
"You really are dumb." you laugh, leaving ace dumbfounded.Ā
"Hey!"Ā
"The reason why I stole your stuff the past week was... because you always ignored me and I, for once, wanted your attention." you confess honestly.Ā
His attitude changes with the split of a second, his free hand lifts your chin.Ā
"Oh baby, you could've just asked. Which part of your body should I start with~" Ace lowers his lips towards your neck, placing soft kisses on your skin.Ā
"Huh?" you let out a short yelp. /Wait, did he just act dumb?/
"I knew what you wanted earlier, it finally made sense. But until then I really thought you'd never wanted to spend time with, someone-"Ā
"Hot, kind and cute?" you finish his sentence before he can talk bad about himself again.Ā
"Let me show you how hot I can really be then." he whispers into your ear before you grab him by his neck and slam your lips into his. Pressing his, indeed hit, body against yours makes you lose your mind. Using his flames to heat up the situation and even burn your top. So your left with your bra in front of him.Ā
"Ace!" you scold him.Ā
"Sorry it was an accident~" he chuckles, placing his hat on your head again.Ā
"Sorry my assaaaa!" you yelp, as he throws you over his shoulder and carries you towards his room.
"Maybe I should've burned you'd pants then? Oh wait, I can do that in a minute~"
"As long as you buy me new ones."

31 Days of Productivity Reading ććäøåļ¼: Day 1
Before: Day one is so exciting, I canāt even decide what to read first. Iām leaning towards putting a bunch that Iām thinking of reading into a spinner wheel and letting fate decide for me, but Iām also thinking about choosing a volume of manga that I know I can easily get through in a short period of time because. Wait stopping mid thought. The new season of Kimi ni Todoke is being released through Netflix so I assumed it was gonna come out all at once, but I think I read somewhere that itāll be week by week episodes? My initial plans were to binge watch the new season (like the rest of the world) but my day might have just gotten a lot freerā¦ Okay they do come out one a week, so I guess I will indeed be choosing my first read via spinner wheel. Thank you for accompanying me in this journey.
Update: itās worse than we all couldāve guessed. Not only did Netflix drop five new Kimi ni Todoke episodes at one, each one is over an hour long. I almost donāt even want to watch. Iām so angry. Who let this happen. No more Netflix anime. Please. I canāt take this. Where are my twenty minute episodes. Netflix I hate you so much
After:
I did indeed go the spinner wheel route and the choice ended up being BASARA. As much as I adore this series, I was hoping for more something that I could finish in a single day for the first day of the challenge. For morale. Iāve read a few volumes so far and even though Iām adoring it, BASARA is a pretty old series (which means more text per page) and my volumes are the little almost omnibus series, so theyāre around 300 pages each instead of the 150-200 thatās normal for regular manga volume prints. Also the chapter lengths are insane in this series. To complete my goal of reading one hundred pages today, I need to read (get ready for this. Are you ready?) a single chapter. Only one. Oh boy.
Okay, so hereās what happened. Lately Iāve been staying up super late to watch the equestrian events in the Olympics (itās the only time I ever see them televised) and yesterday I stayed up until around five am watching show jumping. Obviously, I was super tired today, especially after the cat Iām cat sitting woke me up early, which made me even more hesitant for this volume of BASARA. But I started reading and I finished that one chapter and then I kept reading and I kept reading and then I only had one chapter left and obviously I canāt leave on just one chapter left. So I finished the volume. I was totally expecting to be reading this for three days so Iām super stoked that I managed to read it all today. This series just gets better and better with each volume, Iām so obsessed. Iām also kind of worried that Iām not going to want to read anything else until Iāve completely finished it, which canāt happen because I only have the first five volumes (this was volume three). Side note, I kept picking up the book upside down because the cover has a character on it upside down.
Today I read 287 pages of manga and read 1/10 volumes for the month! Iām off to a good start! Iām also probably going to let the spinner wheel choose tomorrowās read as well.
#30 days of productivity#benkyou posting#langblr#studyblr#bookblr#I did watch like forty minutes of the first Kimi ni Todoke episode while waiting for show jumping to start#also#when I read ččēć®č¬å I got to a point where I had to force myself to stop reading until I bought the entire series#because not having any more to read would put me in a slump for days I would get so upset#and Iām not a binge reader! Iām a chronic series hopper! I canāt finish anything#that series just did something to my brain and I think basara is going the same way

I saw your recent post about Killugon's departure, don't you think Gon was feeling kind of determined to get over Killua and move on or something, I'm so sad for thinking thatšæ
Hi! I'm sorry for not answering you sooner. Busy week (:().
In my post, I said Gon was feeling determined to finish his quest/journey, which is meeting Ging (properly this time). I think this user here did a good job on explaining a bit more about it too. I thought, considering Gon's personality, that he would be feeling determined towards reaching his goal (aka. going to his father). Furthermore, afterwards we see him climb the tree like a little monkey. In my opinion, his determination is only related to this topic.
I think the anime showed more of this emotion at the moment Gon and Killua part.
In the manga, I think we see more of Gon's sadness for leaving Killua, though I think Gon is also trying to put on a brave face at that moment.
(The secret is on his eyebrows lol)
But I don't think Gon wants to move on from Killua at all, so please don't worry about it. Gon loves Killua. If it would have been for him, I think they would have stayed together to be honest. I read this answer someone gave you about this, and I think it was very well-said. I agree with them too.
In relation to Killua, I said that Gon was feeling the following (and I still stand by it):
Sad: Because he's saying goodbye to his best friend.
Grateful: Because of everything Killua has done. (Both are grateful of each other to be honest).
Guilty: Because of how he treated Killua during CAA.
I also thought he may be happy because Killua was with Alluka, but that's just my assumption.
I didn't explain further because I wanted to be concise and focus on the possibility that Gon, just like Killua, left some things unsaid between them (nothing bad, and that's just my own conspiracy theory lol). I also wanted to comment about Gon's way of expressing his feelings in general. I'm sorry if what I wanted to say confused you.
Here is a post about Gon and Killua's departure that I think you may find interesting too. That user is one of my favorites when it comes to hxh meta and they have a lot of metas in relation to Gon and Killua that you may like.
I hope it helps! This scene may be a bit bittersweet and there seems to be unresolved tension between Gon and Killua, but that's because this is not the end of Hunter x Hunter.
I always think of what Togashi said on this interview:
Full interview
In my opinion, it's an open ending made on purpose. We can have that ending as one if we don't want to continue reading the story, but that doesn't mean it's official or that it's the end for Gon and Killua. Specially taking into account that he's working on Hunter x Hunter as we speak. We will even have new chapters on September. We should just wait until it's Gon and Killua's turn again to see what's going to happen with them.
Please have a good day or night, wherever you are.
#hxh#togashi#justxtalking#justxask#today i gave my last final and I'm exhausted af#so i hope i was coherent enough#thank you so much to everyone i mentioned

So I've read ch 421 spoilers
It's a mess. I've been really patient with final arc even though I disliked some of the stuff happening enough for me to dissappear for a year or so.
Even if I dislike AFOmura with passion, at the start he was interesting to really explore how the quirk singularity was supposed to work. Without any "new being" sadly, I was curious what would happen and yet... Nothing.
Okay then what about Toga, Dabi and Spinner? What about their battles? Nothing really
Dabi was the most enjoyable of what was left of LoV with Toga close second. But they're both basically dead at this point. Spinner just existed for a couple of chapters, talked and then poof mission completed nothing else needed of him.
Toga's final chapter is still satisfying, it was similar to Jin's final chapter in a way.
Well what about the new chapter? Nothing
Tomura after 419 had basically become a background noise, maybe he'll come back one day. But not in this chapter.
This chapter is basically AFO talking like him losing Yoichi isn't something that happened 100 years ago. Are we supposed to care that he's sad and doesn't feel anything?
AFO trying to use his "tragedies" like he'll suddenly get a character development from it is just annoying.
Tomura's body in AFO's control now looks even more like a corpse rather than a normal body. Just let him die amd take his body with him if you don't want Tomura to live anymore. I don't care how sad AFO might be from suddenly understanding that his goal is hollow. About time
And now. Getting help in the finale of any arc is honestly something a person reading Shonen manga would expect and it's like a norm rather than an exception.
Except... Izuku is literally quirkless again. What can he really do now? No one really knows that he just decided to throw everything away just for the "crying child that needs saving". People already voiced how dumb that was and yet here we are with "crying child" saved, hands restored, but now there's no way to defeat AFO again.
And the worst thing is is that I actually tried to think about the arc and Izuku's role in it as something good for a long time and it didn't pay off at all.
I still like how he's paying attention to the fact that it's an All-Might merch, but sadly that means he doesn't pay needed attention to what he's going to do now and no one is actually capable of helping him in the moment.
It might as well end in "everyone believes that it'll be okay!" and stuff and that's it. That's all we'll get.
And I'm just lost at what to even look forward to in this finale. But maybe when it'll come out in a volume format I'll understand it better like I did with Izuku leaving UA arc. I basically just skipped it, looking at the leaks sometimes and only after it was finished I read it, two years after it came out I didn't bother watching anime version until this winter.
In the end all we can do is just wait and see, I'll still be doing sketches and stuff, but for now it's really not great or even just good.
(it still looks good tho, since Horikoshi is still Horikoshi)
#not art#bnha manga spoilers#bnha leaks#Bnha#bnha critical#bnha 421#I woke up only to be disappointed with this chapter#As usual only 2-4 chapters for Tomura and like 20 (with breaks even 3-4 is the same) for other stuff#For as long as this final arc was I was literally using āhey Tenko still exists!ā as an excuse ti continue following this mess patiently#Plus I like Izuku so it was like match made in heaven to test my patience while feeding it with hope#But now it's gone I'm just tired

Send help, they're being too cute.
Edit: some preceding events here and here
---
āVictor! Youāre back!ā his Uncle greeted him. āAnd your hair is... blue. Did you... Did you know your hair is blue?ā
āL-Lucinda painted it for me!ā he replied, beaming. āI-Itās not permanent, but sh-she said it can be next time. I-I just need to pick what colour I want.ā
āYou look pleased with yourself. Thatās new,ā Aurelia observed, ruffling his hair. āNice hair, kiddo. Were you with Lucinda all afternoon? We wondered where youād gone.ā
āY-yes, I w-went to her house, a-and we watched an anime. D-did you know about anime? I-itās art that moves! Th-thereās voices and everything!ā
Aurelia put her hands together in front of her face for a minute, smiling lopsidedley. Then she giggled and ruffled his hair even harder. āKiddo, Iām Japanese.ā
āY-yes?ā
āAnime comes from Japan? Itās just the Japanese word for animation.ā
āOh. Th-thatās why M- Cinders w-was so excited to go there.ā He rubbed an arm. āTh-that makes sense. The m-manga is all in Japanese, too. I j-just thought the y-yokai brought only Japanese ones b-because theyāre Japanese.ā
āNope.ā
āI-I thought I knew quite a bit about Earth, f-from reading books, but i-itās completely different being there.ā
āThatās right. A good lesson to learn. So what else did you do?ā
āW-we went for a w-walk in the park,ā he said. āA-and I finished my college application. W-weāre going to go hand it in tomorrow.ā
āThree Earth trips in such a short time?ā Aurelia said. āYouāll be an expert soon enough. So where you going tomorrow?ā
āS-Stratford-Upon-Avon.ā
āOh, itās wonderful there!ā his uncle chimed in. āTHATāS where the college is?ā
āI-Itās partly there and partly o-on Anima. Youāve been?ā
āYes, thatās where Will is from. Iāve visited a few times. You must be careful, though. Donāt use too much magic.ā
āI-I know...ā
āAh. Yes, so you do.ā
āThat reminds me.ā Aurelia turned to Tyrian. āDid you tell him?ā She turned back to Victor. āI canāt be your donor this month.ā She thumbed in Tyrianās direction. āHusband beat you to it.ā Tyrian looked scandalised.
āI-I know,ā Victor replied. āI-Itās not a problem.ā
āWell, look at you!ā Aurelia took his face in both hands and leaned her forehead to his, smiling so wide, the top of her head mightāve fallen off. āIām so proud of you!ā
āTh-thank you...ā He felt warm all over, and he knew he was blushing. But it wasnāt embarrassment. For once.
She kissed his forehead a few times. āBlegh, face paint!ā She recoiled, laughing. āI guess I spoiled that a bit. But you get the idea.ā
āI-I do,ā he said, smiling almost as wide as she was. He couldnāt wait until tomorrow.
---
Context for new readers: Victor is vampire from a planet that is not Earth. To most Otherworlders, 'Earth' is just one big, weird, distant country, almost. (If they thought about it they'd realise of course there's multiple peoples and countries there, but tbh they barely think about Earth at all)
Yokai (like Aurelia) are originally from Earth though, so they tend to have a lot more knowledge about it.
Note: I'm just posting lil bits of things as I go, which I normally wouldn't do. I will need to reread ALL SIX OTHER VDBIF BOOKS to double check I didn't mess up any continuity before this is finished. Which is gonna take a while.
So if you see any continuity errors, shhhh no you didn't

OMG IM SO LATE IM SO SORRY HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAYYYYY!!!!
Also this whole Kenjaku arc?!???!!! Heās a bit different from canon, but honestly I could see him getting a littleā¦ loco with how control is so fast slipping away from him in an instant.
Poor Yuji I hope he gets back to the family soon
Gahhhh I canāt wait for the next chapter!! ( Ā“ ā½ ` )
I hope youāre taking breaks as needed and taking time for yourself tho! Breaks are very important even if fixated on a writing piece, so as to not burn oneself out.
I hope you had a great birthday and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day whenever youāre reading this! :D
Ah! Tyty! <3 I had a really good birthday! Even got to buy myself some StSg merch! I was very excited! Thank you!
Yeah, I wasn't quite sure how to bring his actual character into the fic since he's so cynical and cunning in the anime/manga, but I'd always planned on having him be the final boss battle for the fic, just wasn't really sure how I was going to bring him into play.
Gojo's really tugging the rug right out from under the dude, millennia of intricately set up plans falling apart before the guy's very eyes. If he wasn't such an asshole, I'd almost feel sorry for the dude.
I am taking breaks (short ones, but breaks all the same!), I like to take breaks after the fics are finished because it makes me feel like I've accomplished something, until I start/ post the next one! And I'd hate to lose focus or motivation halfway through when I let the procrastination thoughts win over :P
Anyway! Thank you so much for the ask! I always look forward to seeing if you send one (don't feel obligated to though! I know that people are busy and don't always have time/want to comment or send an ask)! Glad you're still enjoying the fic <3

Hello there!! OMG you donāt know how I just sped to read the Saturday date I think Iām actually in love with your writing. Also 7K WORDS?!?! Guys Iām being fed too well omg chefs kiss a million times over <3 Found another piece to burn into my brain and reread over and over again I was kicking my feet reading this THEYRE SUCH DORKS ITS SO CUTE AHHJDKSHD This has to be some witchcraft because I canāt even express in words how good this was!! Reading this made my week omg! The beach aspect incorporated his fear of water PERFECTLY heās such a gentleman and a menace at the same time this is literal perfection!!!
And SAME we can be (blue) locked in together HAHA I seriously canāt wait for him to be animated!! Speaking of, you saw the Epi Nagi movie, correct? If so, whatād you think?? Just in case I wonāt spill my thoughts quite yet hahahaha but would love to hear what you think
Also I LIVE for the hilarious interactions between Karasu and other characters too!! I completely forgot to mention before but I think I died laughing with the Hiori cameo you added in the first part of the Karasu piece - it was so on brand and so goofy of him I love how you added that! And the Hiori mention this time too was gold, youāve captured the essence of their characters and relationships so well!!! Otoya interactions with Karasu are also a fav of mine so IM SO EXCITED TO SEE WHAT YOU HAVE IN STORE!!!
On that note, Iām not sure if youāve read the EpiNagi manga either but thereās some great interaction content in there if youāre looking!! Their dynamic is also so goofy and I love them too!!!!
Youāre also a GENIUS I hadnāt even thought of Karasu interacting with Yukimiya for the first time thatād actually have me rolling omg I can imagine him just glaring at him and sizing him up all the time doing his analysis and just muttering insults like āheās just an mediocre dudeā etc LOL
Once again, thank you so so much for entertaining my thoughts and requests you didnāt just deliver you ATE and DEVOURED, above and beyond truly!!! If youāre ever lacking Karasu writing ideas or just thoughts generally Iāll always have some handy for you o7 HAVE A LOVELY DAY!!!! THANK YOU FOR FEEDING THE KARASU COMMUNITY HSHSHSH I have a feeling Iāll be in your inbox quite often LOL (esp when he finally gets fully animated!!!)
On my way to go reread that piece again orz
-Karasu anon :)
OMG YAYYY IāM SO GLAD YOU LIKED IT!! hehehe smth abt karasu always gets me ramblingā¦both times iāve written for him the pieces have ended up being almost double the length i intended them to be š I LOVEEEE HIS AND READERāS DYNAMIC theyāre so stupid and they truly match each otherās freak so well LMAAOAO i think the whole āWhy do you think heās so interested in me? Itās because of the kindness that radiates off of me in waves!ā ~ āThatās not kindness radiating off of you, thatās the scent of your hair gel.ā exchange is one of the funniest things iāve written in a WHILE i was giggling coming up with that whole convo š«
i think his fear of water is so interesting!! since it was established in the first part that y/n loves swimming i thought this was the best way to include that without it feeling too random šš» HAHA i really wanted to show that despite his snarkiness he truly is a green flag at heart!! him being a bit of a jerk is so integral to his character but at the same time i am 100% confident that he would be sooo down bad if he liked someone and he would absolutely treat his gf like a princess (even though heād simultaneously be a jackass abt it)
YES i did watch the epinagi movie last thursday when it came out in the us!! ofc nagi is my fav so i liked it but i do think they cut out a lot from the manga which made it feel a teensy bit rushed. i almost wished they wouldāve waited until the manga finished up w the second selection and then animated that too (biased because i want to see more karasu + barou) overall though it was good!! the tabieitaken + kurona cameo at the end was sweet if not a bit crunchily animated š also i distinctly remember thereās a scene (i think at the end) where they show reo and nagi like standing next to one another and THEY DO THE FUCKING PRIDE AND PREJUDICE PINKIE THING LMAOAOAOA i hope you know what iām referring to it had me dying ššš i fear reonagi is not a ship i care much about (LOVE both characters, find them kinda boring together tbh) so it wasnāt emotionally impactful to me i just found it hilariousā¦like ok wyd here mr darcy āļø but iād love to know what you think!! i am caught up with everything blue lock so feel free to talk about anything related to it in my inbox š¤
I LOVE HIORI IN THIS SERIES TBH heās like karasu x y/nās biggest shipper (besides y/nās bff) but also kind of their weird little freak child?? idk how to put it but karasu + y/n both feel like they are probably role models of some sort for hiori (which will be shown a bit more in the next continuation i hope) so he kinda just follows them around as he has been so far and at some point they just give up and pretty much adopt him. like yeah thatās their son what abt it (this is based on that one scene of karasu and hiori in the epinagi movie where karasu looks like heās taking his child [hiori] to the doctorās office for the first time because his wife [y/n] is busy š)
OTOYA AND KARASU ARE SUCH A FUNNY DUO I LOVE THEM TOGETHER!! iām so excited to write otoya meeting y/n i think itās going to be entertaining for sure!! and PLEASE karasu meeting yukimiya in blue lock has been on my mind since you requested him going into the programā¦he does his stupid little analysis for the first time and immediately has a breakdown because yukimiya is canonically 1cm taller than him š otoya has to tell my man to stand tf up HAHAH i bet the trash talk after they won/after karasu got ranked third and yuki got ranked fifth for third selection was VILE (on karasuās part. meanwhile yuki is like āgreat game š youāre super talented bro šš»ā because heās unproblematic and also has 0 idea why this random crow boy holds such a deep hatred for him)
i loveee the epinagi manga i wish it was updated weekly because iām so impatient i need to know what happens next!! the current match going on is making me sooo happy because it has my top three bllk boys (nagi, karasu, and barou) in itā¦plus my bestie chigiri š the art style of the manga is so pretty though so i donāt mind waiting longer for chaptersā¦perfection takes time after all š¤© the way karasu especially is drawn in epinagi is so hfdkskjs like bro is ASTOUNDING. the panel where heās first introduced in it and his name is written and heās all smirkyā¦lives were changed dare i say!!
i have so much fun reading your thoughts!! and once again iām glad you like the way iām taking your requests š«¶š» i will hopefully get the next ones done soon too and you can lmk what you think of them!! always proud to serve the karasu fandom š«” iām like that one video of justin bieber that goes āhey. just working. working hard so i can please you.ā but itās me writing for minor bllk characters instead of just the itoshi bros typical suspects.
come into my inbox whenever you want!! i will always be happy to read whatever you want to talk about (even if itās not karasu related hehe)

Newbies' Trigun Stampede/98/Maximum Analysis
To start off I was introduced to Trigun by fanart on Pinterest while looking for art inspiration. So thank you to all the fandom artists!! I'm not really into anime too much, so this has been the first anime thats had my attention in a long while.
I began this series by watching up to episode 3 of Stampede and then decided "I can't wait, I must consume".
Immediately watched the high trip that is Tri98 and then came the heart crushing Maximum. Also have to thank @genkooii for the link to the proper translation to Maximum. Here is the link to that post if anyone wants to read as well.
I'm really happy with the way I followed the series and love it so much. Each version having its own charm and still keeping Vash's core at heart. But there are differences and somethings i find that were done better than others. I'll give my feelings for each first and then compare them.
Begining with the first 3 episodes of Stampede The animation was new and interesting. I didn't know about the hate for CGI until later on. I agree that it does look different, but I quite like the potential it has. Its beautiful in its own right. For story, I have to admit even as a newbie, the pacing was rough for me. I realized this after Vash saved Jenora (again) barely had time to breathe and then EG Mine shows up. (I learned later that I stopped just before things ramped up even more) I like tragedy, but subtlety goes a long way. Will come back to Stampede again further down.
Next is the OG Trigun 98 anime. I didn't realize how much I missed the 90s anime aesthetic?? There's just something about it. Even though it is dated in appearance, there are some great frames and angles this anime had that just makes it so intense!! This version did have fillers, but I felt like they weren't out of place. I have to admit here that I have a bias for this version. I grew up as a Fallout New Vegas fan, and this just gives me the same vibes. The questioning of morality with no real defined answer? How people struggled to survive and how fucking wacky they were!??? All while the protag is basically a wandering gunslinger/cowboy. Loved it. Gotta have those spurs that jingle jangle jingle, while having an existential crisis.
And here we are at Maximum.. man, words can't even describe how Stamp and Tri98 didn't prepare me for this at all. It's like that hair-clutching-hysterical-crying that settles into soft calm laugher and happy tears. It was really painful, those tough and tender pages i read... I loved it. This version does have a combination of both the above. And Stamp is more based on this version. But the pacing, while quick, had the subtlety I craved. The action was cool and interesting, but i now understand why it was said as "hard to follow". It can get a bit confusing. Overall, I ate this manga up when I definitely should have been studying, haha!
I actually went back to Tri98 after Max and definitely felt the differences between them. It was a bit surreal. Had to separate the two in my mind, but I still love them both.
Return of the Stamp! Now having finished all prior media, I looked at Stampede with new eyes. I'm glad I waited because I binge watched the episodes. I definitely understand why older fans were concerned, but this was my original, and I am going to stick by Stamp's side for as long as I can. Hmm how to describe how I feel now that season 1 has ended... this Trigun is in neutral for me right now. Though the animation is enough to make me go bonkers over the expressions and lighting, it's not enough for me to say it's outrageously good storytelling wise. But it does convey emotions well when it wants too. And they are definitely setting the stage up for Vash and more trimax story. I'm eager to see the results. I enjoy it overall. Season 2 will truly decide for me.
Okay here is the comparison part and will likely contain SPOILERS
Pacing
Stamp- as I mentioned much too quick but hopefully since this prequel season is over they will have more time to space out the story a bit
98- quite like this pacing. Has world building and mystery towards Vash for the first half. Makes it intriguing. The later half does go by quicker. Plants are hardly mentioned or explained.
Max- always in motion. Only in the first OG(prequel?) Trigun manga is there filler, which is what Tri98 is based more off of. But also this filler still had meaning and made you think.
Character relastionships/Interactions
Stamp- very little, Meryl is basically the only one who develops with Roberto and a tiny bit with Vash at the very end of the season.
I feel like something was lost between Wolfwood and Vash in this version. Woodwold being cold and Vash saying he looks kind, if you haven't seen the other media it's nice. Technically, there's nothing wrong with it. But i now see this is one of the tropes older fans complain about. It lacks the depth the 98 anime, and Trimax WW and Vash had. It gets straight to the point but loses a sort of dynamic. This anime didn't have the luxury of time I suppose. I don't hate wolfwood here. How could I? When he made such a soft expression at Livio. He still has that need to protect and thats what really matters.
98- another reason I like Tri98 is because they actually had the characters interact more. Meryl and Milly came to see Vash more and more and understand, he isn't at all what they or others thought he was. They had more time to be inspired by him. Meryl is definitely more aggressive and very direct. I don't hate this version. It's a straight man to Vashes over exaggerated goofiness. For the anime it works but I hate that for how abservent she is, that she really couldn't see Vash as the stampede?? Kind dumb but it's a wacky show, had to have a sillier vibe.
WW I like how they are actually friendly to each other at first. When the person who made you smile/soften up, has a harshly contrasting moral view to your own, it creates a certain sort of tension. Loved Vashs and WW friendship here. His death was kinda sadder since he died feeling like he didnt acomplish much. Vash's moment of breaking down while eating donuts was heart-wrenching . Also Vash using the Punisher vs Knives, such a good scene!!!
I actually really like Milly and Wolfwood together. It's cute. Millys more capable then I thought. Love her.
Max- Meryl and Milly have much less time with Vash. I do like how they are inspired by him still, but they only come around every so often to say a baller couple of lines than they dip. Don't get me wrong, I understand why, and I love how they are the representation of the good in humans, but they no longer feel as close. Which is saying something because 98 Vash was still a really distant dude. It just feels like the gap between them and Vash is more apparent. But they also had a really big issue at hand, so understandable. When Vash is called out for not letting them help more, he acknowledges that he can't afford to think about it at the moment. These characters were still great on their own.
WW- by far the only real human relationship Vash has ever had. And I don't mean in the romantic sense, but a sense of actually getting to know someone on a personal level despite their tense differences. Learning, inspiring each other while opposing each other. To have faith in someone. Vash is either on a pedestal or on trial when around most humans and I like that WW brings him down to his level. In the worst and best ways, he makes Vash truly human. I thought his death in the anime was painful but this was so much worse.
Livio and Vash bounding over their lost of WW will always get to me. The spaghetti scene. T_T Glad that Vash has another companion that could help in the physical fighting to come. Livio vs Elendria was a great!!. Liked how Livio was a combination of WW and Vash. A surprise break out character for me.
Does it make you think?
Stamp- Kinda spoon feed the tropes to you. I don't expect this to happen in the 2nd season. You could feel the subtle messages in the last few episodes of the season. I feel like they are done being overly flashy, time for the thick sauce of you-gotta-think-about-this-now.
98- despite it being so much like an abridge series, the episodes do make you think. Thats whats so good about it. The unsuspecting "here is haha funny man, now think about the uselessness of being good in this world". Love the episode with the rich girl and her criminal dad. Shows her position like most humas on Gunsmoke/no man's land. Moral grey kinda thing? That the world they live in isn't simply black and white.
Max- better dust off the old noggin and soak it in your tears.
Sadness
Maximum wins. IWANTHIMTOGETAHUGANDATHANKYOUANDAND---'
Stamp close second might surpass Maxs trauma in time. Who knows.
98- Someone mentioned that this Vash isn't suicidal. That is how low the bar is to make him the happiest of all the Vashes. Technically, he also got the best ending, for now, at least.
Knives
Stamp- oh no.. hes hot...and they definitely made him more intimidating than 98. Coming back to episode 4 was a thrill ride, but this version of Knives is very yandere. He does care for Vash but very manipulative and narcissistic. Gaslighting galore. I kinda understand it because of the manga now, but the whole pregnant plants and all that really puts this Knives on the less redeemable scale. His piano theme is amazing tho!!
98- barely there, the ending fight was cool, and I enjoyed it a lot. I did still like him in this version, but it had a lukewarm water kinda feel. The lesser of all the knives.
Max- the great thing about Maximum is that it shows so much depth to the story that i knew before, and to Knives. How sad and alone he really his. How his intentions are really just to save his kind from a threat that broke his mind with their cruelty. I don't disagree with him, actually. What he saw l, what humans do, does go toe to toe with Vash's optimistic. Knives is so human compared to Vash in my opinion. It's kinda odd and so poetic. Also when the plant hivemind was ripped away from him, I felt sad. He was alone again. Still wrong for him to obsorb his siblings tho...
VASH the man the myth the lengend
Stamp - Hmm, this has Trimax Vash attitude, but more on the meek side. My first impression was that he was a cute and kinda like a kicked puppy. I want to pat his head. In this version I wasn't thrown off by him being an all loving protagonist he just had the vibe off the start. Watching him in the later episodes did make me tear up. He's so soft and does have that tenderness that all Vashs' have. A cinnamon roll, too pure to good for this world.
98- he uses his smile as a sheild and plays it off better than the other Vashes, but his pain is still there. He is also pathetic, in a loving way lol. Before getting to know his story, i thought he was crazy. I was like every other character that he met. I didn't understand his struggle. I just saw the crazy man who made things difficult by choosing to avoid killing. Him getting serious and holding fast to his beliefs amazed and stunned me. Had me step back and see his point of view. Highly respect his willpower. However I don't entirely agree with him. Which many have pointed out thats the point of Vash. He is also much more confident and sly than Stamp Vash. Which is weird because it makes him seem more experienced and I think Stamp is older? He manages to use his pervy and over the top silliness to disarm people and get the advantage in most situations. He's smarter than he looks. I enjoyed the ending for this Vash, because it touches on his moral code after having to kill Legato. Him finally looking forward to the future without Rem being the main focus to his life and decisions. There wasn't enough time in Trimax and I would have liked some pages on it. But he was a bit busy saving the planet... He may be louder than the other Vash's but he still strives for a world that is made of ----- LOVE AND PEACE!!
Maximum- this Vash is like an older dad of the other two. He is worn down and you can feel it but he will NOT stop fighting. He is a tad more direct than the other Vashes and I was surprised that he has a tiny mean streak when he's irritated. I like this. He isn't always hiding behind that painted smile. He definitely gives off more of that Angel theme the manga has. An older creature that is indeed different from humans but wants to care and look out for them, but people are so scared of him. Poor dude. Every Vash holds the same core elements, the tenderness, the wit, and the determination. But this Vash really nails it down that he is the OG. And man, some of the lines for Maximum were just chefs' kiss. Had me just staring at the pages pondering. But he is so broken and mostly picks up the pieces alone. I am bitter that he never got any comfort or closure at the end. I am grateful it was a hopeful ending but HE LOST SO MUCH!!
All of them need a hug and therapy
Personal Ranking
I can't choose between Trimax and Tri 98...................................... Fine. Okay, it's Max for the plot, but you'll have to pry 98 Vash from my cold death hands!!!
3rd -Stampede - I really love the look, music, and some of the emotional points, just not enough storytelling for me to appreciate it more. I also feel like it's a bit too early to judge. So much can happen in the 2nd season.

Yes Yes. He Akimeno is a good shipp... as long as you don't think about the psychological implications behind Himeno's feelings
But he waits! Put that chair down first, okay? Before you throw anything at me, let me explain what I mean
First of all, let me clarify that I myself support this ship. In fact, the reason why I'm in the fandom is because of that image of them together in the opening theme of the anime. So, I'm not saying this because I'm a hater or something!
Ok, let's start with the thesis:
Himeno is a very eloquent and likeable character within csm. He has a very attractive personality and I'm pretty sure it's hard to feel uncomfortable around him. I dare even say that he may be comic relief for the show.
She is properly introduced in chapter 14 of the manga (5 of the anime?) and we can get to know her more thoroughly. She is presented as a relaxed and confident person who seems not to take work very seriously. Although āI insistā this last impression may be due to an attempt to relax the tense atmosphere, because let's remember that in this mission Aki and she are in charge of the rookies
A proof of my point, before you enter the hotel:
When they find they can't get out of the eighth floor:
From the moment they realize that they are trapped on the eighth floor, we see how Arai and Kobeni begin to break little by little. Kobeni with a little more strength xd. Even Aki is a bit stressed by the situation. But not Himeno. She maintains the same cool and calm personality with which she entered the building, almost as if the situation doesn't faze her at all
With the flashback of how she introduces Aki to nicotine and then the cigarette that they share in the present, you can see some chemistry there. "These two are cute", you even think
But we can question this cuteness from this moment on:
Let's see. Aki and Himeno are the superiors here, however, Himeno is Aki's superior. Even though they both have novices in charge of her, Aki still calls her "senpai", which means there's still a difference in rank there. But despite this, Himeno seems to easily accept Aki's wishes. I mean, they don't even debate what to do. Come on, Himeno didn't have any affection for Denji, because she doesn't hesitate to ask him to eat later. It may be that in her work dynamics Aki is the mastermind of the operation, but I personally question this scene because, the most logical thing would be to sacrifice one to save several, right?
Despite all the commotion they are going through, Himeno remains undeterred. It's not until here she mentions using her sword that she seems to react:
It's not a reaction you'd call "desperate." But it is immediate. Aki hasn't even finished processing the thought when she's already refusing, preferring to sacrifice Denji (when she previously didn't want to, going against Aki's wishes) than sacrifice Aki; even when the sword seems to be the only solution they have
And with this, Himeno's sanity seems to start to take a nosedive. In something slow and almost imperceptible until it happens. I didn't notice it myself until after reading and watching the anime episode several times. When Kobeni hurts Aki, she has finally reached breaking point:
The calm personality is gone. There are no jokes anymore, there don't even seem to be clear thoughts anymore. All there is is a scared and fearful girl to be reliving trauma so directly and life. Personally, Himeno's fall in this arc is one of my favorite parts
However. I was speaking at the beginning of this incredibly long testament of the possible psychological implications behind Himeno's feelings. What do I mean by this? Himeno seems to have an attachment/dependency towards Aki. It's like Himeno is a red roof and Aki is the plug in the leak. Himeno has lost many companions, he has seen many of the rookies in her charge die. But Aki seems to be the exception to that. Aki is the only one who has survived long enough to get to train her own fledglings. Thus, having Aki alive seems to have become some kind of sick need in response to her earlier trauma. It doesn't sound quite cute anymore after reading the last part, does it?
But anyway, this does not mean that this is a bad ship (as I said before, I am here thanks to them). Nor that you stop shipping them or think differently. In fact, with this weird theory I've put together in my head, I like them better. Feels almost Shakespearean, don't deny it
#chainsaw man#It's just me thinking too much again#a bible nobody asked for#you can't deny I have a point in this#if someone really reads this to the e#akimeno#aki#himeno#aki x himeno#aki hayakawa#csm himeno#himeno chainsaw man#chainsaw man shipping

Hello, I'm a new fans of oshi no ko? I'm not watching the anime cuz so many fyp about it in TikTok when airing. But I follow the manga and curious about some theory about how it will go. Maybe this spoiler or not, cuz I saw the leaks of newest chap. But surely I kinda wanna asking your opinion about how the film 15th years of lies will going and ending. Cuz, the main cast is Ruby and Aqua that we know and entire their world know that they are twin siblings. Is it possible for them to kiss or even have sex even if it's just an acting ? I mean this would be a big thing in their eyes and of course it would be big in our world because there is incest in it. Although I'm sure aquruby shippers will be very happy about this lol. And then is it possible that the end of this film only ends with AI dying? Because it seems like no one knows if Kamiki also killed another woman. At least until Aqua finishes this manuscript. And maybe there is an important role for Akane and Kana in the resolution. Kana has indeed helped Ruby, but we saw Akane at least last in a confrontation with Aqua. I'm looking forward to the continuation of this story even though I myself hope there isn't a story that is more twisted and scary than Airi's grooming.
Hello anon & welcome to the fandom! I took long enough getting to this that uh some of it has been answered by the manga already but hopefully this is still interesting to read!
I very much doubt there's going to be a sex scene just because Ruby is an idol and everyone (in universe) already had such huge reactions to the kiss scene coming up that it would feel weird if there was something even more extreme in the script and nobody had mentioned or had any response to it. Not only that, but we seem to be skipping ahead to parts of the movie where Ai is already pregnant so it seems to me it's being left to viewer inference that Ai and Kamiki had sex at some point. It's possible we might loop back around to some more of their scenes, since there's a weirdly ambiguous implication at the top of 144 that we are suddenly seeing scenes out of their chronological order (which is not how the movie was being filmed prior to that) but who even knows at this point.
In general, it's hard to predict exactly what's in the script both because the Movie Arc is largely unfocused and because the story as a whole is so reticent when it comes to letting us in on exactly what's in the script until it actually plays out in front of us. I'm pretty certain it's going to end in Ai's death just because that's the logical place to end a movie about her life and we already know that someone has been cast to play Ryosuke - so that moment is definitely being included, if nothing else.
I do at least think Akane and Kana are going to be important to how things resolve just because Akasaka has spent so much time on them as characters and on their investment in Aqua that it would feel weird for them to be totally uninvolved but at this point, I've largely given up on trying to predict the Movie Arc and I'm kind of just waiting for it to be over lol

Okay. Cool. Thatās good to know. A part of me figured that was the case but since that everything purely said āAsk box closedā I figured Iād better be safe than sorry and should wait until you opened it up again. And Iām so sorry that someone sent in that spoiler with a request. I really do hate that. And thatās great to hear that you slept so amazingly āŗ Gods, me too. I have this weird thing where I absolutely have no idea how much sleep I actually need beause Iām always tired, even if I sleep more than normal. Sure, I feel slightly more refreshed, but still hella tired. Okay. Iāll try to come up with everything I thought of saying at the time and will send it next time you respond to our DMs. And thank you so much for saying that. It most definitely was a great chapter and I hope I have good enough thoughts to add onto everything youāve already said about it. Oh I see. That makes sense. I also usually go for those kinds of things and rarely watch purely romantic series, unless theyāre recommended to me or theyāre said to be really good. It really is. I finished A: TLA a few days ago and cried so much at the end. And I hope that you also get the chance to rewatch it at some point and Iād love to hear your thoughts on it when the time comes. I immensely enjoyed rewatching A: TLA and itās funny beause even though itās been a while that Iāve watched it before , I still knew a lot of everything concerning the story but that didnāt detract from my enjoyment of the moments. Like I still cried at another emotional scene a few episodes before the end beause it really is just so beautiful. I just started the last season of Demon Slayer thatās out today and Iām just in awe of the animation and how it looks and itās making me emotional. Iām really so grateful that a series as good as that has such a beautifully well done adaptation. Couldnāt ask for anything more and hope that they continue doing it justice until the very end, though I have a feeling they will.
Thank you. I managed to get through everything I didnāt get the chance to read yet today, as you may have noticed š
And I enjoyed all of them and have written my thoughts down for them, though I feel like theyāll probably look quite repetitive š
Yeah, fandom is amazing like that. Iām really grateful for that and the way that they write all of the wikis. Yeah, one of the filler arcs in Bleach is really weird and I never rewatch that one. Oh thatās nice to know. And itās also cool to know that they also translated the songs. Were they sung by the English voice actors or something?
It really was and luckily, now that Iāve restarted my computer again since it was being really slow, itās gone back to how it used to be. And that could be. And thank you for calling the explanation clear. And that sounds good. I hope you get to read it beause one of the matches centres on some of my favourite babies and I really do hate that they messed up the adaptation like that. At least Iāll always have the manga, though it still sucks š Yeah. And the fourth season still has some really well-done scenes, and thereās this scene of another kind of fave that I havenāt mentioned at all, that appears in that season, and they have like this really beautiful shot of his eyes. And thatās nice to know. No problem at all. Even though I probably wonāt rewatch the movies, I do really appreciate that they animated those extra scenes beause theyāre all important in their own way. Shame canāt be said for some later stuff and I know Covid had something to do with the second half on the fourth season, but the movie of this year and those OVAās from many years ago have no excuse so yeah, itās still a shame (I know Iām being really salty here so sorry for that). The chapter limitation really does suck, especially because both were really easy to get through for me, someone who doesnāt read as fast so I hope that you do get to read both on your normal app one day. Yeah, me too. Like even though I do have my faves that Iāve talked to you about, I still love all of the characters and am so proud of the growth that certain ones went through and itās just all so nice. Like even my non-faves make me emotional. And yeah, especially those. Like the other boy Iām not normal about has such noticeable flaws and is such a silly boy (like I call him silly so often while rewatching some of his scenes) but heās such a well-made character that you canāt help but love him.
Oh Iām so sorry to hear that and I canāt blame you for being upset by it. I hope at least that that character has good reasons or something. Iām also scared now, but also kind of intrigued to see it all. And true and thatās really nice. And youāre amazing for that. Glad to see that Iām not the only one who likes justified text. And no problem at all š Iām doing pretty alright. Like I said, I watched some Demon Slayer today, which put me in a good mood but my mum was really judgemental about a certain thing concerning my dad which was so horrible to hear sine it was during dinner time so I just had to sit there and listen to everything she had to say, especially since I couldnāt come up with enough stuff to counter her. It really is always so painful to have to hear her comments about all kinds of things but I wonāt let it keep me down because I know I have your writing to look forward to and many great anime and all kinds of stuff. Just couldnāt help but mention it. Hope youāre doing amazing and that the writing is going great š

I know you had figured that and I think itās really sweet of you to be concerned about bothering me! Youāre never a bother though and I enjoy seeing you in the inbox šThanks ā that one was rough as Iāve done amazing at avoiding Jujutsu Kaisen spoilers (blacklisted the general tag until Iām completely finished the manga read just to make sure of that). Though, just saying ā I called that one way back in our messages but ouch, rough yeah, for both being spoiled and for what it said happened. I need way more sleep than the four to six hours Iām lucky to get a night. Iām horrible in being a super light sleeper where every little sound wakes me up though, even with my pills being in me. Caffeine is my best friend in all forms (coffee, energy drinks, caffeine infused chocolate or my favourite, chocolate covered espresso beans, even caffeine pills if the insomnia is really badā¦yeah, I know, Iāll probably die of a heart attack from all the caffeine guys but adult life sucks and requires you to stay awake). Sounds good! Iām hoping to get a reply to our dmās off maybe this weekend in between writing other things, where I have a weekend off. I can definitely get checking out series that are recommended to you, even if theyāre not what youād normally watch. I recently paused watching my other shows to binge through Mashle because it came highly recommended by two people I trust, even though it seemed like it would be just a blatant rip-off of One Punch Man. Turns out they were right and I loved it. I hope it will be that for you with the romance series when you do watch it through! The ending of A:TLA was definitely worthy of the crying and I remember crying quite a bit throughout that show. I loved Iroh, but I really had a soft spot for Azula and things got real rough for my girl around the end of the show. I felt horrible for her, I really did. Iām so glad that you enjoyed your rewatch of it, that it could still hit you in all the right ways despite knowing what was coming. When you say last season, do you mean this is it? It will wrap everything up completely or is there a plan for more (like a spin-off or anything) after this season or a follow-up like Naruto: Shippuden? Iām so glad the last season is starting out so well though and Iām with you in hoping it will continue to be beautifully done right up until the end, and not just because itās high on my watch list.
I noticed and appreciated all the likes and am happy you enjoyed them all! And I never find your thoughts repetitive and am always really glad to hear your thoughts on my posts! Comments are always wonderful and motivating! I hate the Bount arc for Bleach and when I do get the urge to watch it, I always skip that arc, since itās pure filler anyway! Iām pretty sure itās all the English VAās singing the songs but I noticed about halfway through season 2 there were some songs they didnāt translate and upon googling it, it looks like sometimes itās hard to get the permissions needed to translate and revoice those songs. Either way, the music is really solid all through the show!
Iām glad your computer has gone back to how it should be and hopefully isnāt running super slow anymore! It definitely was clear and it helps me know what to expect. Iām someone who likes to get every single moment, so even if the movies are a lot of recycled stuff, I still need to watch them. Oh no! It sucks that your favourite didnāt really get what they should have when it came to the anime adaptation. I know how that feels and it sucks big time! I hadnāt even actually thought about the impact Covid would have had on animators and studios! A lot of what came out during that time would make more sense if they couldnāt really all do their work successfully from home, I guess. And hey, no, please feel free to be salty. Everyone has things theyāre salty about, even me, and itās cool that you feel comfortable enough with me to feel safe getting salty about things. Thank you for that! And so far, all the characters are great. I was pretty sure Iād dislike Hinata going into it, because those kind of characters normally bore me but I ended up just adoring him, which is the one that surprised me the most!
Thank you! I do hope that, when I get to reading and finishing up everything for the manga, Iāll see the reasons the author went that direction and that it ends up making sense in the story. If not, Iām sticking just with writing Nanbaka up to the end of the anime seasons haha! Iām so glad youāre doing okay and that you had some good moments, though Iām really sorry to hear that about your mother. I personally am of the opinion that spouses shouldnāt bicker or pick at each other in front of their children, but I know it happens all too often. Itās awkward for the person sitting there and uncomfortable. Iām sure you did your best to defend your dad and that he appreciated it a lot! I know itās hard but try to focus on some of the positives of your day or lose yourself in something you enjoy and donāt let her steal your joy, my dear! You deserve more than that! And thank you! Iām doing okay tonight ā just got my pills into me, sitting on my couch in boxers and a comfy t-shirt, eating a McCain cake out of the tin and writing (just finished a chapterā¦it was supposed to be a request for a one shot little drabble about me travelling with comfort characters and now itās bloated into a whole multi-chaptered fic, haha)!

Not-pow anon here! DW lol I figured. I would like to ask how you got into yuru yuri, its been going on for over a decade now and everything, I'm surprised it still has fresh fans coming in
HI NOT-POW ANON THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR ALL THE ASKS!!!
I got into yuruyuri in early-mid 2020! but don't be fooled, it doesn't really have anything to do with lockdowns or anything!! I believe I was 12 at the time.
I first discovered it back when I used to use reddit. I saw an artwork of Sakurako and Himawari, and I saw the title of the series! "Yuru Yuri!"
now, prior to that, I'd already been stung by like.. stuff I thought was yuri but wasn't... or stuff that was just too sexualized for me... but I saw "yuru yuri," looked up what the title meant, and I was like "huh! that's interesting!" I went to go read the manga and... well, I was pretty hooked! I love everyone in the amusement club's dynamic, and I loved the characters' relationships! I read it for quite a long time! I'd go through about one volume per night. I was a massive super duper yuru yuri fan!! like, a REAL big one!! Fun fact: When I first read through yuruyuri, I was as clueless as sakurako/himawari because I did NOT realize they liked each other AT ALL. I was always like "oh! hey! sakurako and akari have something going on? maybe? that's cool!" I WANNA HIT MY PAST SELF IN THE HEAD MOON!! MOON IT'S OBVIOUSLY HIMAWWARI!!! IT'S HIMAWARI AND SAKURAKO SMH OMG SMHHH
Anyways, once I finished reading it, I watched the anime... I cannot tell you how happy I was. I'd been reading yuruyuri and talking about it for a few months at that point, and when I finally watched it... It was like magic! I saw my favourite characters ANIMATED!! I saw Akari, chinatsu, and ayano who I saw myself in. I saw yui and kyouko, who were just SO DANG COOL!! I saw sakurako who I loved and Himawari who I.... well, though she's probably my favourite character nowadays, I don't think I liked her too much initially? anyways (oh and once I started watching the anime I think I was 13
I meant to portion my watches so that I don't finish the whole thing in one day-- AAAND I FINISHED ALL OF SEASON ONE IN ONE DAY
it was amazing. it was so amazing. I literally cried in episode 11, and I was laughing and smiling my way through all the rest
it was amazing... but it'd be over soon if I didn't stop.. watching...
so. I stopped. I remember it was a saturday. I set an alarm for exactly seven days from then, so I could watch season two. I mean, it was the least I could do, really!! people back in 2011 had to wait an entire YEAR for a new season! surely I, the AMAZING SUPER COOL Moon, could wait for a mere week..?
it was painful. Arduous. but I did it. I went a week without watching yuruyuri! that's not to say I wasn't engaging with yuru yuri as a whole! no, I was looking at the songs and stuff, REWATCHING season 1 since I wasn't allowing myself to watch season 2, talking to my friends about it... (I believe this was still late 2020 btw)... I was making do...
Until finally, the week past, and I allowed myself to watch season 2. "I won't finish it in a day. I won't finish it in a-" I finished it in a day. I cannot tell you how I felt listening to minna daisuki no uta for the first time. I feel like that's when yuruyuri truly hooked me. it was that precise moment when akari chose to keep her memories. Nowadays, I believe that memories are some of the most important things in the world. Do I think that because of yuruyuri? I can't tell you since I don't know, but probably.
I cried in s2e3. I laughed so hard I had hiccups and nearly threw up in s2e8, and I cried for a very long time in s2e11. I was so surprised that s2e11 and s2e12 were ORIGINAL! they weren't in the manga! I forgot to mention it earlier but seeing the manga moments I read animated was SO cool! SEEING YURUYURI ANIMATeD WAS SO SO SO COOL
it's always nice thinking about the first time I listened to minna daisuki no uta, and how far I've come since then... I can even play it on the piano now! how time flies!!
(okay yes shameless self promo SHHH)
anyways. rinse and repeat for season three. I skipped nachuyachumi and nachuyachumi+ because... well, uh, I didn't know they existed. but yeah I rewatched season 1 and 2 when waiting and.. it was fun. yuruyuri is fun. my memories from that timeframe are hazy but it was fun
after all that... well, yuruyuri's been a great part of my life. did you know that I was once scared to grow past 14?? I mean, I still am but like I was TERRIFIED "I'm not gonna be ayano age anymore.. what am I to do.."
since that time I've done so much yuruyuri stuff. I've talked about it, I've learned the songs, I've learn big amounts of japanese frmo it, I OWN NEARLY EVERY SONG ON CD!! IT GOT ME INTO CDS!!! It (alongside pow and NNEX) got me to start making music! it encouraged me to be more confident and loving with my friends! I wouldn't be moon without yuruyuri
there's more.. there's alot more. but I'm a bit tired now! sorry! send more asks about whatever! I'll be sure to answer~
