Oboro's story is genuinely THE most heartbreaking thing ive encountered in media, it makes me so incredibly sad, and Yuuei Survival Guide was like. the PERFECT thing to stumble across when I was in my feels about him, its just. I lack the words to express how much comfort your fic has brought me, it was SUCH A GOOD READ I genuinely cannot thank you enough for putting something so wonderful out into the world.

You are so right, he truly is such a tragic character! The OG content really did Oboro so dirty-- made him the literal embodiment of a Hero (like Midoriya) and then killed him before he could even really start! 🥺😭That child deserved a happy ending, and I'm so glad I could give him one! I loved his character from the moment he was introduced (and then taken away), and the friendship between Midoriya and Oboro-- ugh, they're so cute.

Those two definitely share a Hero's heart.

YSG really was such a blast to write!

Yes, I do plan to continue it, I'm just not sure when I'll be able to get around to it! I haven't had much free time and I've been working on stuff for some other fandoms to not burnout on MHA completely. I'll be quite busy for a while yet, but I do plan to work on a sequel/epilogue when I get the chance!

Just so you know whenever ao3 goes down I always go and read Lost in Paradise that I downloaded on my ebooks as soon as it was finished and I always end up finishing rereading it before I go back to ao3 because I always get sucked in! I am so, so sorry to bother you about my silly little calendar thing again, but, um… You have Oboro’s birthday (May 5th) falling on a Saturday and then Hizashi’s birthday (July 7th) falling on a Thursday (in Yuuei Survival Guide), which. Doesn’t make sense? If Oboro’s birthday is a Saturday Hizashi’s birthday should also be Saturday.

To be fair, I didn’t notice this until I was trying to date everything so I don’t think it is a major issue but I uh. I did want you to be aware, I suppose?

Yeah, sorry about that! I didn't notice (and I probably won't be getting around to changing it anytime soon, sorry D:). I wasn't really looking at a calendar when I was writing, and I did write it over just about two years so once I was finished a chapter I didn't really pay much attention to dates or anything! I also always believed it was sometime in the very distance future just by the technology we see in the OG content, so I didn't give it a lot of thought as I went!

Consider me aware, and no need for apologies! We've all got out own interests!! I'll be doing some editing on the fic when I have the time and mental willpower (such a daunting task, ngl), so I'll try to keep that in mind when I get to it! Unfortunately, I can't promise anything though, I have the attention span of a squirrel, but I'll try! Still, thank you for informing me!

hello!! i just wanted to pop back in your inbox and tell you that the way you write??? makes me scared for my own reading speed ???? bc i was able to finish your behemoth of a fic YSG in TWO DAYS???? bc it was THAT good and THAT riveting that i genuinely could! not! put! my kobo!! down!!! anyway i love you and your writing sm <3333 so here's a list of things i really loved about YSG:

izuku being so atrociously bad at asking for help and getting genuine anxiety and panic attacks at the thought of asking and receiving help??? SO real and in character for him and also so fucking hilarious bc same bestie, can't even complain about how frustrating it is to read bc we know as the outside viewers that he's gonna be fine, but HE doesn't know that and he truly believes it's the end of the world and it's so so hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time

the scene when he harnesses black whip??? to get the fuck away from the dorms bc he thinks he's ruined everything bc erasermic saw oboro??? OH DELICIOUS WRITING !!! i have that scene rotating in my brain on a microwave platter!!! the way that in izuku's pov he has truly fucked everything up and needs to RUN bc he cannot watch as the two people he loves the most realise he's a horrifying freak, meanwhile both mic and aizawa are DEVASTATED and scared out of their fucking minds at losing THEIR SON????? absolutely delicious. stunning. i am pressing kisses on your hand and naming my first born after you.

the whole!!!! dynamic between hitoshi and izuku oh i love them your honor. i love hitoshi being so worried and out of his mind when izuku's in danger, i love the first interaction where he's an asshole, and izuku thinks he's fucking up aizawa's family/mentor dynamics with someone else, even tho hitoshi is literally just insecure and kind of a dick about it. i love how their friendship develops, and hitoshi is the (one of the) first people to believe him about the ghost thing, it's so so wonderful to see how loyal they are to each other, and when hitoshi??? threatens aizawa and mic???? about losing him if they break izuku??? OH i'm in tears. sobbing. i'm throwing myself off a cliff. good bye.

i also love the little details of like, when midoriya is doing a good job or insecure about himself, that ofa/the ofa ghosts are in the back of his head reassuring him he's doing a good job. the mental image is SO funny, especially when i imagine they're watching in the background passing around popcorn or like, getting pissed when izuku gets disrespected. the idea of nana yelling about yagi being stupid/making stupid choices regarding izuku's training is so funny.

i love love love doting dadmic so so much. i think that you captured the spirit of dadmic and put it in a bottle and then uploaded that bottle with your fic. the way that hizashi ??? is the one to fear between the two of them when it comes to messing w izuku??? the way that yagi definitely fears hizashi more than aizawa?? oh delicious, fabulous, stunning.

i'm also so obsessed with how you write oboro!! he's just a silly goofy menace!!! he WILL walk into people to spite them! he WILL scare mic w the lights to be petty! but also!! he would kill and die for his friends! he would kill and die for izuku!!! i love his relationship w izuku, i love the way that they both push at each other to open up while also respecting each other's boundaries when necessary. i love that you made him feel real, and not just a person who tries to please his friends. i love that he fucked up and owned up to it. i love that he's always constantly pestering izuku to take care of himself and gently threatening him to do so when he needs to.

in conclusion, marry me? (jk unless 👀)

Woow! Finishing YSG in two days is crazy fast! Serious dedication! Glad if could provide you some entertainment, and it's honestly such an honor to know I wrote something that people can't put down! I genuinely did not think it would be as liked as it is when I was working on it!! You and everyone else who've read the fic are the absolute best! 🥺

Izuku is honestly such a mood, bestie is just so relatable. He's just an anxious little bean learning to trust! To be fair, I'd trust absolutely no one if I was in his shoes-- I mean, All Might constantly telling him to keep secrets and not having a parental figure to lean back on until way later in the fic. I definitely set that kid up for failure in the very beginning :)

I love that scene too!! Izuku just going full out Spider-Man to escape Aizawa in sheer panic! I love being able to switch up which POV is being focused on because the contrast in that scene specifically is one of my favorites I've worked on! Dadmic and Dadzawa just worried about their kiddo running, and Izuku literally losing his mind over it and running for his life.

Yess!! I wanted to give Izuku a friend and I LOVE Shinsou being Aizawa's personal student! Making them cousins was the best way to kill two birds with one stone, and it was just so easy! (And writing Oboro befriending another trio! He's so cute, I love him so much!) Gotta love a good sassy boi befriending the lead cinnamon roll trope. And throw in a sarcastic ghost gremlin and you've got the full trifecta!

So much potential for the ghost seeing! Not gonna lie, that's literally hilarious. Nana so would put Yagi in his place-- guy needs a good whack to the back of the head every so often to remind him not to be a jerk :) I'm a strong liker of Yagi, but a strong disliker of All Might. Now I'm just thinking about Inside Out where the emotions are just sitting there watching through Izuku's eyes!

I loved writing dad Hizashi <3 He was very malleable to work with, considering when I started the fic, there wasn't an abundance of Present Mic content to go off! I'm glad people like him! Mama bear Hizashi, love of my life <3<3<3 Always be hesitant of the people who outwardly look like they may kill you (Aizawa), but be terrified of the sweet, friendly one (Yamada). Especially if they're a couple!

I genuinely think people like the fic so much because of Oboro! Real MVP here. He was the one, my favorite character after just a glimpse of him in one of the seasons (besides Aizawa, of course). An adorable blank slate to work with! Ah, I just love a character willing to give up their life for the sake of others, a true Hero. Oboro and Izuku would've loved each other if they could've actually met in a world that's not YSG! I'm so glad that YSG could give him more of a character than he gets in the OG content, because he deserves to be loved! Now, everyone thank Oboro's existence for prompting the fic :33

Ello ello!! So, I have kind of a weird ask. I found you through WRC, fell in love with your writing, and then proceeded to read everything you wrote for MHA (once I find the motivation to read the JJK manga, your JJK fics are next.) In that process, YSG became my favourite thing I have ever read. It's become a special interest of mine next to MHA, if not more. I have reread it and your other MHA fics so many times that I have lost count.

With this, I also animate, and I would love to animate YSG as a series with all credits to you. It's been something I have been thinking about for a very long time (three-ish years?), and I would love if I could devote my passion to something that could introduce people to the beauty that is your writing and your storytelling. It would just be a fun project where no one would be making any profit, so me, you, and no one else would get into legal trouble for doing so.

Credits would be at the beginning and end of every video posted, the title, and the description, along with links to both your account and the fic in the description. I would also make sure that you have access to the animations by most likely sending them to you in another ask. This, along with anything else you would like.

I fully understand if you are uncomfortable with this, and I am perfectly okay if you do not want it animated. I also understand if you say it's okay and change your mind later, in which case, I will take down the animation. I am just asking for permission to or to not do so before I do anything.

Ah! I'm so happy to hear you liked the MHA fics! My MHA fics were my first fully completed giant fics! The fandom is just so lovely (I'm only really in the fanfic part of the fandom though, and everyone there is amazing :D). It's always an honor to hear people have read through everything! And an even bigger honor to know you're thinking about fandom hopping with me to read some of my other stuff! NGL, I've only seen the JJK anime and movie which is the main plot for the fics, though there are manga spoilers in some of the fics! Probably better safe than sorry!

I have no problems with you animating it if that's something you want to do! I fully support creative outlets like animating, fanart and book binding! I think a lot of people would like to see animations as well! I know the podfics of YSG and WRC done by Put Your Hands Up Podfics on YouTube do pretty well, so animations likely would as well, wherever you post them! I'd appreciate the credits!

I am definitely comfortable with you animating the fic, and I'm excited to see your work! hi!! i just came here to scream at you at the brilliance of work that is when realities collide on ao3!!!!! i love how you develop the relationship between ar!aizawa and r!izuku, and the way that aizawa is absolutely fuming at his reality self for fucking up bad even if he didn't have all the information lmao. when i read that chapter with deku and izuku talking on the roof, all i could think about was we hug now by sydney rose, bc that song has this verse that goes "i have a feeling you got everything you wanted, and you're not wasting time stuck here like me, you're just thinking it's a small thing that happened, but the world ended when it happened to me" and i think that captures the butterfly effect of that fic and that reality SO well. it was one small thing, and it changed the course of deku's life so irrevocably and i haven't been able to get this fic out of my head since i read it. you did so so well to portray deku and his backstory the way you did, he's a villain of circumstance, an example of how society has messed up so badly, even and especially in a world where heroes are the norm and people with quirks are the standard, someone like him who was born without, had to resort to underhanded means to take care of himself, and you just!!! did so well!!!!!! to write that the way you did!!! i'm so sorry, i'm usually more verbose? more put together than this, but i am REELING from this fic. thank you for putting this out into the universe, genuinely sincerely, thank you for giving me one more reason to live and one more thing to keep me clinging onto life. i mean that sincerely, you are such a brilliant and talented and thoughtful writer, and i can't thank you enough for the gift that you have brought into this world.

It was so much fun to write WRC! It was just such a refreshing change up to working on my other fic, and it was cool to be able to dissect the canon world a bit and see where it was really lacking (and we all know it's definitely lacking in a few places).

Also, subtle Dadzawa for the win! I love Aizawa. I've always thought he was a man who genuinely cared, you know? About his students, his friends, civilians. He isn't a hero because he wants attention, he's a hero because he wants to help people. And I think he'd get attached so quick, I mean how can someone not get attached to a cinnamon roll like Midoriya-- I'm still excited to write the sequel when I have a bit more motivation, because Deku really needs a dadzawa in his life too! He's just a cinnamon roll too🥺

And writing Deku and Midoriya! I've personally never believed a character like Midoriya's would ever go completely evil (though there are some great fics out there, kudos to those writers who go against the narrative!), so it was a challenge finding a way to give him a morally-grey side that makes sense with his character without completely changing his morals! He still wanted to be good, he still tried his hardest, he still helped where he could, when he could.

I'm glad he came out so well in the end!

I also genuinely love the idea of the butterfly effect, so being able to write it into a fic and having it make all the difference in the world was amazing!

I've never heard that song before, but now that I've listened, it does capture it so well! Thanks for sharing :D It's a really good song!
