Yandere Hannibal Lecter Headcanons (General)
''Nothing here is vegetarian." — Hannibal Lecter.
❝ 🍽 — lady l: I think it's amazing that my hcs become more and more extensive lol, but you like it, don't you? Hannibal is my newest fixation and I loved writing for him, due to his personality. I hope you like it and forgive me for any mistakes! It's four in the morning here 🤎🤍.
❝tw: obsessive and possessive behavior, cannibalism and murder.
❝🍽pairing: yandere!hannibal lecter x gender neutral!reader.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hannibal Lecter is decorous and very polite and he really appreciates that, politeness. He values and is easily offended by people who are rude or who do not have the correct manners, especially at the table. In addition to being a perfectionist analyzer.
He believes that the way people behave at the table directly reflects their education and social status. Hannibal is meticulous in choosing ingredients, preparing meals and presenting dishes. The problem is that his food tends to be human flesh, but Hannibal doesn't consider himself a cannibal, since the victims he chooses are seen as pigs to him.
Hannibal is known for his distinct personality and his appreciation for elegance and refined etiquette. His impeccable education, combined with his exquisite taste, creates an intriguing and contradictory image, due to his serial killer side. He stands out not only for his intellectual abilities and his ability to appreciate high culture but also for his meticulous and artistic approach to his darker pursuits.
You must have his politeness and good manners, that's the least he requires, Hannibal doesn't like rude people and although he won't kill you, he would have to teach you to have good manners. He will be happy to do so, however.
When interacting socially, Hannibal is observant and analytical, evaluating people based on their behavior at the table and in everyday situations. His aversion to rude people puts him in a unique position where he feels compelled to correct these "lapses" in etiquette. The way he corrects these mistakes varies from murder to a class, in this case, that class would be just for you.
You would have to be someone who achieves these Hannibal decorums, or comes close at least, for him to become obsessed with you. He likes polite people and will be happy if you are one of them, but if you are not or don't know the correct manners very well, don't worry, he will help you.
Hannibal is a psychiatrist and is very well aware that his thoughts of you are not ''normal'' or healthy, but he doesn't care. He knows it's morally wrong to do what he does and does it anyway, so what are some dark thoughts about you? But these thoughts quickly become actions he committed in your name.
He will take notes about you and create your psychiatric profile and if there is something ''wrong'', he will offer therapy for you, that is if you were not already his patient. Always very observant and attentive, he will be keeping all the necessary information about you, so that he can use it to catch you later.
If you have problems with your family or friends, Hannibal will take care of it. He doesn't like the idea of someone wanting to hurt you, whether emotionally or physically, and most likely he will kill them one by one and serve them to you. Of course, without your knowledge. He knows you're not ready to know that yet.
Hannibal will be very picky about your food, just as he is about his. If you eat poorly or incorrectly, he will correct it. He enjoys cooking for you and will be adamant about doing so, serving refined recipes and elaborate dishes using fresh ingredients. Hannibal is a bit too controlling.
He is not possessive, but rather obsessive. Hannibal doesn't like it when you get too close to other people, but he will be more uncomfortable if it's someone he has apathy or something against. But he will sort it out. He feels jealous, but he deals with it in his own way, releasing that feeling on other things... Or people.
Hannibal is quite protective of you and will be adamant about keeping you safe. He may try to convince you to live with him or will make regular visits to your home, work or where you study. He will always be around when he gets the chance, just to look out for you.
He will try not to completely succumb to his desires, as Hannibal doesn't like being controlled, and allowing you to have so much power over him makes him more than uncomfortable. At least until he is sure that you will let yourself be completely dominated by him, only then will he feel more comfortable in making his feelings for you clear.
Hannibal Lecter is very intelligent and knows very well how to get rid of evidence that could incriminate him. Besides being a psychopath who doesn't feel remorse or empathy for others, he becomes softer when he's with you. Although his feelings aren't clear or fully understood, he knows he cares about you, enough that he wants you to be his. And you'll be his.

Let's look at what your best self looks like first, your best self is selectively honest. They don't tell others what they want next. They evaluate themself and are self critical to a certain extent. They are sort of self absorbed. They understand that ignorance is bliss and know how to ignore things or people when need be. They are especially really good at ignoring people that they can't have or people from the past. They are still quite fearless though. They understand that it's better to be attacked than ignored. They meditate often and know how to relax. They need and prioritise peace, and their actions align with that. They never bite more than they can chew, they know how to step away from situations that they cannot handle. They try to stay away from conflict and choose themself first no matter what. They know how to become the bigger person. They take care of themself, self reflect and know how to heal properly. They know how to not make rash decisions. They're wise and detached. They've surrendered, they know that if they cannot control it, there's no use worrying and if they can control it, it's better to do so rather than worry. They've released old beliefs and patterns. They have a faith that things will work out, be it faith in themself, faith in god, faith in life or faith in the universe. They're mindful, intentional and know how to let go. They know how to grow, they're also successful. They believe that the pain of discipline is better than the pain of regret. They're quite passive and know how to let life happen for them, they're still someone who takes necessary action though. So, how do you become them? You need a rest, not gonna lie.
Some of you might be drained out to the point where you cannot focus in school or on work. You need to address your self esteem issues. Supposing, you are really self conscious when it comes to performing, you always feel like your body won't look good if you put too much energy so you end up putting less energy in but when you do so, you feel disappointed at yourself for not doing well. In that case, you should try to improve your dance skills. You're someone who has an understanding that being pretty doesn't do enough for you, it's the same with being rich, and the way you are as a person and the way you present yourself are all very important to you. I think it's important for you to build certain skills to a point where you can be really proud, it'll significantly boost your self esteem which will in turn help you for the better. It requires consistency though, don't be lazy !! You need to release negative thoughts, feelings, habits and patterns. You might have gotten really comfortable with your pain, it's important to heal. Your deepest traumas are either already surfacing/resurfacing or will soon, that's when it'll be the easiest to change. You need to stop stressing like just know that "what happens, happens." You need to face life and have a total break down first. You should withdraw from stuff. You'll go through something very humbling, you'll be left feeling really put down. You'll not even have it in yourself to look strong anymore, you'll be exposing weakness because you'll just not have the strength to conceal it. You'll have to accept defeat first and things will get better soon. You'll have to have a lot of anger, pain, shame, guilt and regrets in order to completely change your life, all the best, it'll probably come in soon.
⸼ ۫ ︎︎⊹ ! 🪡︎ Pile 2 ꒱
Let's look at what your best self looks like, your best self has unlimited potential and sees it. Your best self has freedom in some sense, be it financial or something else. Your best self is someone who had to let go of who they were in order to become who they're meant to be. Your best self has a carefree attitude. I just heard 'be yourself'. When I say this, some of you might think that you're doing it already but if you think about it properly you'll notice that you tend to either act childlike even though you're very mature, dumb even though you're very smart, don't express your values as articulately as you think about them, etc. Some of you could be really good at written expression of your thoughts, ideas and feelings but when it comes to talking, you're not the best. Your best self is not scared of being unique. Your best self takes risks because they understand that most of the times not taking a risk is the biggest risk. Your best self has a thirst for life and is passionate. You might be really passionate as a person (most of you seem to have that side of you diminished though). Your best self has fun regardless of what others say. One quality that you already have is your ability to analyse yourself, you are not the type to avoid accountability and blaming external factors for every little thing. You have some sort of an inner guidance, your mindset gives you the capacity to be completely alone if necessary. I feel like a deep part of you desires or used to desire solitude, peace and spiritual enlightenment. Most of you have started your spiritual journey already, some of you haven't though. It doesn't have to be something too deep like 'light candles every full moon, meditate every morning, light sage and incenses often' but instead that you feel like everything that happened was for a reason or even if it feels like it wasn't.
You learn and make something out of it, you know how to live life and try to grow as a person, and have faith (be it in the universe or in yourself). You might be quite philosophical too. You have a lot of wisdom, people who are slightly older than you and see you for who you are might say things like "you're so mature for your age". Ofcourse, there are some things that you'll have to get rid of in order to become your best self, I feel like most of you have mostly/only had short term unstable relationship/s which have caused you to have a lot of baggage. You could have poor health (I heard a poor immune system, bad sleep schedule and poor gut health). You might also be financially dependent on someone else or just not be financially stable, it's causing you to not be able to gain certain skills or knowledge, etc. Even if you do not notice it, you have a tendency of getting stuck in your head often. You lack spontaneity and need mental stimulation/challenges/someone who seems to be equally as intelligent as you so you could have been stuck in toxic friendships/relationships with people who think that and act like they know everything. You're a very fair person, so being with people who don't share the same values or reasoning as you will be frustrating, I'd advise you to not interact with such people to the point of forming am emotional attachment. You'll have to find a source of motivation or something that just reignites the passion in you. Stop being lazy, simply just planning isn't going to get you anywhere. You need to find a new purpose basically. Focus on a purpose, money, drive and having fun. It's important to learn how to be true to yourself and not get easily influenced. You should go out and have some fun too. All the best, I'm rooting for you but you need to be rooting for yourself ten times harder.
⸼ ۫ ︎︎⊹ ! 🪡︎ Pile 3 ꒱
Your best self holds pure intentions towards others and has a good nature. Your best self is also very attractive and follows their heart. They're driven and have a great imagination. They romanticise life and are in love with love. They listen to their intuition and take action towards their goals with a hope in their heart. They have a creative hobby that they might have suppressed that they choose to enhance. They're charming and friendly with people. One thing that I'm getting is that they're someone who everyone has a crush on to a certain extent. They receive a lot of jealousy and envy from others. They don't let anger get the best of them. They think calmly and orderly. They accept different beliefs and paths. They could be someone who's tired though, like really tired physically (they could do a lot). They're accepting of other people's differences. They find solutions to issues instead of going around blaming others. They prioritise peace and don't lose sight of the path. You need to face yourself instead of quick fixing issues that lead to long term detriment. If you're having fights, etc. the moment you forgive them (whether it is at their face or by yourself, without letting them know, that's up to you) and resolve conflicts (including your inner conflicts), you'll start developing into your best self. You have convinced yourself that you have certain beliefs that don't align with you and you need to get rid of them. You're not seeing the brighter side of life and that's hindering you from becoming your best self too.
I feel like what's led to this mild-extreme pessimism is your over optimism in the past. A happy and exciting event seems to have turned wrong. It's going to take you a lot of work to become your best self. You'll have to take up a lot of responsibilities and be really loaded with things to do if you want to become your best self. You'll have to be serious about life and will be stressed quite often. I just heard 'too busy to even eat'. There are excessive requirements and conditions for you to become the best version of yourself. You'll have to put yourself through intense pressure. You'll have to take up a lot of responsibilities too though, try to improve your own character alongside working on building something for yourself. It'll be really easy to burn out though because of how much you'll be doing. You need to mean how to not commit easily to others. You need to challenge others instead of just letting them into your life. Your best self follows their heart but is not easy to get. You need to become hard to get and easy to lose. You need to learn how to make quick decisions and take quick actions. It's important for you to be on a dedicated mission to succeed. Discipline yourself and build confidence. Build so much confidence that when someone you love does you wrong, you know that you can just let go, and find better people and treatment. Become self assured. It's important for you to just go for the things that you want. If you try, you'll get there little by little, all the best.

heya, you reblogged a post from 2015 on september 8th with the contents "if ur not subject to transmisogyny like
you really need to keep it that in mind in every single interaction u have w trans women
like if ur not actively evaluating how ur avoiding making transmisogyny work in your benefit, chances are pretty good u’ll be making transmisogyny work in your benefit."
i(an afab nb person) would like to ask for a bit of elaboration on this?
really i'm noty trying to be rude or an asshole or ANYTHING of the sort it's not that i cannot be bothered to look (I AM LOOKING) it's that i dont know where to start to look, so i'm asking here. have i done something horrible and evil just by having a regular conversation? (also i am SO sorry for this paragraph here i REALLY don't want to be misinterpreted as beigng rude or refusing to educate myself or anything of the sort please don't hate me)
Hi! It sounds like you need to read more on transmisogyny! If you don't know where to start, I don't think you understand what you need to be looking for!
@marxism-transgenderism has some good posts on transmisogyny, as does @transmisogyny-explained, @storyweavingspider, @aleshakills and @tpwrtrmnky. If you're looking for books, I can also recommend those!
We all absorb transmisogyny, it's one of the pillars of the patriarchy. Much like racism, if you're not paying attention, especially around those you're privileged over, you're going to wind up being bigoted towards them and not realizing you need to apologize and change your behavior.
If you're willing to learn, great! That's the first step. Hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask.

I might just be stupid and it’s probably just me who didn’t understand anything about like minds(just watched it for the first time), but also I think you said Alex had a lack of feminism(?) at one point, and I never once saw that in the movie so I’m really curious about that, if you could share your thoughts as to why you think so.
First things first, welcome to the club! I can assure you that many who watch this film have some confusion or questions after the first viewing.
To answer your question, it would be really helpful if I knew what specific statement or post you were referring to, because I don't recall saying specifically that Alex isn't a feminist. I have definitely commented a few times on the fact that this movie is itself quite misogynistic, most notably in these two posts: Rambling about Sally and Martin, and Misogyny: Fridging Trope. The movie has three total female characters, and only Sally has any significant screen time or character development. Helen and Susan are just cardboard cutouts with no agency or personhood, used only as plot devices. All three of these women fall into some pretty standard sexist tropes, and they all end up as hapless victims of the male protagonists in various ways, even Sally.
As for Alex himself, the script simply does not address anything approaching the politics of the characters because the story isn't about those ideas. My own opinion based on my evaluation of the character we are presented with: I'd say Alex hasn't the slightest ounce of any kind of feminist leanings. I don't think he gives any thought to inequalities of any sort, nor does he care about any social justice causes. He might be able to pay lip service to those causes if it serves his purpose, because he's intelligent and manipulative enough to understand what people want to hear and what will paint him in the best light possible. Ultimately, concern for causes like feminism depends on a certain amount of empathy and compassion, and everything I can observe about Alex within the story tells me he has a fundamental lack of those qualities.
Nothing in this story explicitly tells us he IS a feminist, and plenty of evidence suggests he is the kind of person who would NOT be. That doesn't mean he thinks that women are specifically inferior or has any kind of formal agenda in support of subjugating people on the basis of gender or sex. I don't think he gives it any real thought at all. Instead, I think he views ALL others as inherently inferior to him personally, regardless of their identity. My own reading of the story suggests that Nigel is the exception to that view, but not everyone will agree with me there as there are multiple ways to read his relationship with Nigel.
I hope that helps clarify things a bit. Feel free to send more asks or reblog with additional thoughts if you've got more to add. We enjoy discussing the movie here and love to see new fans join our little corner of Tumblr.

The Frost's Post-game Press Session from 1/2/2024 - BOS at MIN
youtube
The Minnesota Frost's post-game press session after their home game with the Boston Fleet on Thu, January 2nd, 2024.
At the table were head coach Ken Klee, and forwards Brooke Bryant and Britta Curl-Salemme.
Transcription is under the break.
[But I didn't bother transcribing one of them, because I don't feel like it, and I don't get paid.]
[Video starts with Ken Klee answering an unknown question.]
KEN KLEE:
Yeah, it’s tough, I mean, obviously we’re- we’ve got players dropping quickly. But I’m proud of our group for finding a way to win. I mean, would have liked to, obviously, had it be the 3 points in regulation, but Boston’s a good team. They’re gonna keep fighting until the end and they did. Luckily we were able to battle it out in overtime and Britta [Curl-Salemme] obviously scored a big goal for us.
Reporter:
What are the official updates? Maddie [Rooney], Taylor Heise, and Grace [Zumwinkle] was during the game.
KEN KLEE:
Yep, so those three are- Well, I know two of them were sick. Then Zummie got hurt so she’s gonna see a doctor tomorrow morning and we’ll see the extent of it. But the other two are just sick. Our team has been battling it. First practice back from Christmas we were missing 7 players and it’s kind of working its way through.
Reporter:
And Claire [Thompson] made a great play to set it up.
KEN KLEE:
Yeah, it was a great [???] body by Claire Thompson. I mean, she’s a good defender. When she wants to defend she can do a good job with it. So it’s a really good play by her. Then obviously then up to Kendall [Coyne-Schofield], then Kendall finding Britta to give her some room to be able to make a play.
[I mean, I would hope Thompson was a good defender considering that's her position!]
Reporter:
The powerplays, ended up, I think, 1 for 5. But it- that 1 kind of was the- I know last game you said you wanted to get some more opportunities, was it nice to finally see you cash in tonight with all those chances to not, kind of, go over?
KEN KLEE:
For sure. Just trying to be simple. When we get pucks to the net, good things happen. And it was just a nice shot by Claire and, you know, Brooke McQuigge is right there ready to put in the rebound. So it was a really nice play.
Reporter:
Brooke [Bryant], do you feel like the team, you guys, came into this game knowing that you were going to grind it out with so many players missing?
BROOKE BRYANT:
Yeah, definitely, I think anytime we play Boston we know it’s going to be a physical game. And it’s gonna be all three periods we have to fight through. Sometimes extra [smiles]. But yeah, I think we knew what we were getting into and it was just a matter of fighting through and pushing for each other.
Reporter:
Guys, this virus or whatever it was, just sort of run through the team?
KEN KLEE:
I don’t know. We went on Christmas break we were- well, we had lost two players to injury, but everybody else was pretty much healthy. But then- it’s hard to say. Everyone went their own way and we had players popping up sick like crazy. I know some of them are still battling it, they’re still hard coughing on the bench and all that sort of thing. I think it’s just sort of going through right now and hopefully we can keep getting better.
Reporter:
And you said Grace was hurt?
KEN KLEE:
Yeah, Zum hurt herself. She got hurt in the first period and then went off and, like I said, she’s gonna see a doctor tomorrow and hopefully we’ll have a better evaluation of how long she’s gonna be out for.
[End of Video.]

Kendall, I need some advice if you feel like bestowing your wisdom upon me. 🥺
How do you keep from internalizing the negativity from being blocked by friends and mutuals when you aren’t sure what you did wrong or how to fix it?
I have tried moving blogs and curating my space with new people, trying to participate in different community spaces, and leaning on the friends I do have. But I have started to get blocked again/ignored in shared spaces and I’m just feeling like I must be the problem if it keeps happening.
of course!!! thank you for trusting me enough to ask <3 this is a really tough situation to find yourself in and i'm sorry that it is bringing you down.
so my thing with being blocked is that ultimately it hurts but you can’t do anything about it so you have no choice but to just get to a point where you can shrug and move on, yk? if you go and ask someone why they did it that’s more or less going around their boundary (set by blocking you). people have their reasons even if we don't get them and frankly a lot of the time they aren't very good ones but we are also not owed an answer about why someone dislikes us.
i am positive though, whoever you may be, that people love you and enjoy sharing this space with you. you can't let people who are already making judgements without even knowing you govern how you feel about yourself. YOU know who you are and what you stand for and how you treat others. you know the type of friend you are. these people who blocked you don't and frankly deprived themselves of the opportunity to do so likely based off of nonsense.
it's easy to turn external factors inward and blame yourself but sometimes it's a multitude of things - people just don't always mesh the way we want to with them or maybe people just have a lot going on and don't know how to communicate that outwardly. i've met many many many people who are otherwise nice but we just don't get along and that doesn't make them evil or bad or anything even if that's what they tell others about me, i have no control over that.
honestly i'm always a fan of open conversation about this sort of thing too. if you feel like your current friends that you've found since re-evaluating your friends and space are moving away, don't be afraid to ask them why. it may result in some tough conversations but the bit of pain that comes with tough conversations feels way better than allowing yourself to feel uncomfortable so you don't potentially shake anything up.
most of the time when friends feel distant or like they're ignoring you it's, oddly, because they have their own stuff going on and feel strange about sharing. people become really self involved when they're struggling and that's not a bad thing it's just sometimes others don't know how to say im not being mean im being avoidant bc i'm having a hard time.
you are not the problem though, i don't believe that for a second. i'm sending you lots of love and i hope this situation improves soon <3

2024 writing evaluation :)
thank you lizzzz for tagging me
1. Number of stories posted to AO3: 5!!!
2. Word count posted for the year: 199,325
3. Fandoms I wrote for: One Direction
4. Pairings: Harry Styles/Louis Tomlinson
5. Story with the most:
Kudos: everything of mine is yours
Bookmarks: everything of mine is yours
Comments: where we landed
6. Work I’m most proud of (and why): I'm most proud of everything of mine is yours because it really was just written purely based on what i wanted to write and was full of self indulgence. the writing style is one that i'm always trying to somehow replicate with my other works.
7. Work I’m least proud of (and why): to be honest, i'm not entirely sure. i wish i would've put more time into if we were butterflies but i wouldn't say i'm not proud of it. i love beige as well but there was hardly any thought put into it so maybe that's the one i'm least proud of. but not bc i don't love it haha
8. Share or describe a favorite review you received: any time i get a comment about a reread or someone going to read my other fics because they liked one of them is a different kind of special to me. to be specific though, i got a comment on where we landed from the person who submitted the prompt, and i still go back and read it when i'm struggling with writing. just know if you've ever left a comment or sent me a message about my fics, even if it's the smallest thing, i've held it close.
9. A time when writing was really, really hard: i found writing hard in late spring through the summer. i went really hard the first few months of the year (wrote four fics by may 😃) and i think it burnt me out a bit. there were some things i started and put to the side when i realized i was forcing myself to write them even though they weren't going how i wanted. this is the first year i've been serious and disciplined with my writing so i'm taking that as a learning experience.
10. A scene or character you wrote that surprised you: there is a scene in you, in every color where louis and harry have their first disagreement of the fic that acts as a sort of indication that things are getting rocky, and it was surprising to me how difficult it was to get right. i ended up writing it a few times before i finally felt like in emulated what i was going for. the first draft was a large screaming match which ultimately didn't feel right for the characters.
11. A favorite excerpt of your writing: oh boy, i'm just going to post the first one i can think of lolol. i have nothing to say about it. this is from if we were butterflies
There’s many times in an artist’s life when they must decide whether to savor the moment with their eyes or in their art. To watch a sunset sky turn from purple to pink or to dip a brush in watercolor paint. To snap the picture of a lover lying in the moonlight or to lie with them across cool sheets. To put the pencil down when Harry parts his lips, Louis’ name on his tongue, or to capture his expression forever. “Lou,” Harry says in a voice he’s never heard before, hands shaking in his lap. Louis’ gaze snaps to his, and he must decide—to keep this to himself or to never go another day without the reminder of exactly how Harry is looking at him. And any other time it would feel easy. If it was anyone else, there might be the promise of another moment. But now? With Harry, here, like this, and so, so beautiful?
12. How did you grow as a writer this year: as i said above, this is the first year i've been intentional with my writing, so i think i grew in a lot of ways. most notably, i learned how to outline in a way that works for me which has been HUGE in actually finishing projects. i also learned that writing scenes in order is a lot easier for me and makes it more likely that i'll finish something.
13. How do you hope to grow next year: i'd like to get better at editing. i kind of despise editing after the first read through which leads to sloppiness. i'd like to do better at being intentional with editing and keeping an eye out for specific things.
14. Who was your greatest positive influence this year as a writer (could be another writer or beta or cheerleader or muse etc etc): this is also the first year that i've really had writer friends who i can talk about writing with so everyone that i've done this with has been a huge influence. specificallyyyyyy though, @harruandlou ofc. i've learned a lot from her about the technical side of writing from plotting to editing and everything in between. and obvs she's been incredible in putting up with my whining and scattered ideas during beta reading 🙂‍↕️
15. Anything from your real life show up in your writing this year: always. the first one i can think of is the place in chicago that harry goes in eomiy are places i also went for a conference during undergrad. i'm always pulling things from real life though, i couldn't possibly tell you all of them.
16. Any new wisdom you can share with other writers: know your characters before anything else. while plot is important, people will come for the plot but stay for the characters so make sure you know exactly who they are, where they came from, and where they're going. i promise you it will make all the difference in how real your writing feels.
17. Any projects you’re looking forward to starting (or finishing) in the new year: i recently finished writing my longest (!!!!!) fic yet (over 100k!!!!) that will come out soon into the new year. i'm looking forward to finishing up editing and sharing it with everyone :) i also do have some things planned that i can't wait to get started on!
18. Tag some writers whose answers you’d like to read.
ik you may have already been tagged but @petitommo @wishingforloushair @28goldens @insightfulinsomniac @louieshalo

My current top 15 Anime and why
Because why the fuck not. I'm doing top 15 so that I have some variety behind it. Otherwise I would just be gushing non stop XD
Apparently numbers go big now - AND THEY GO SMALLER IF YOU TRY TO TYPE IN THE SAME LINE AS THEM???
comparison:
15

DA HECK????
(Edit: I was going to colour all the numbers because I wanted a rainbow. WHY THE FUCK FOR THEY CHANGE TO SMALL WHEN YOU COLOUR THEM??????)
Guess the titles of the anime get a small heading. Anyways. Onto the actual list!
15
Technoroid OVERMIND
Ayo. Starting out with a really random one. So if anyone were to look at my Anilist then they might be a bit confused. I decided I'd keep movies out of here as well as anything I haven't specifically finished. Also takt op. Destiny needs a re evaluation.
Anyways. This premise is so sick and I feel like they managed it really well. The characters were all really fun and the music was fantastic which is honestly the most important thing about Idol shows. I really like idol shows but often struggle with the stupid drama in them that just leads to seasons upon seasons that didn't need to happen or wouldn't actually happen.
In this they're just androids. The fantasy twist works so well for the genre and I honestly don't know why it isn't done more often. This way they can bullshit the drama and it actually makes sense.
Honestly my favourite character was Kite. He was great and his voice always gave me shivers. Especially his piece in the closing. Damn.
I don't want to go into full reviews with this, rather just gushing about things I like and stuff. I really don't think this got the recognition it deserves - probably because of it's deviation from the norm - but it would be cool to get some sort of sequel.
(Edit: There's a manga releasing apparently. Imma check that out.)
14
UniteUp!
Continuing on with the trend of idol animes apparently. UniteUp! was so good. As I mentioned in my Reviews while I watch of the show, it felt so grounded and real that other idol shows just don't seem to capture. These were all real people with real problems dealing with real life.
I also like how we had such a large cast of characters but it never really felt overwhelming as they focused on group dynamics and specific individuals rather than trying to cram every single person into their own arcs.
Once again the music was fantastic and by god was this show pretty gay. Honestly I don't know what the sentiments of others are, but the Anela duo definitely weren't straight and neither were Akira and Daiki. That bath scene says it all.
Anyways. If you want a fun time with a really solid idol anime, please check it out. I saw earlier that we're getting a season two soon. I am so looking forward to it.
13
Trigun Stampede
Damn! I don't even know what to really say about this one. The visuals are absolutely stunning - there is no doubt about that. The score and the characters are excellent. And how dare they leave us on that cliff hanger.
I have absolutely no history with this story and still need to watch and read the originally but I am really looking forward to seeing how the story adapts between the three.
You can ask my partner. I've already said we're watching everything trigun related as soon as we are done with our current show.
I'm really looking forward to season two. And especially seeing how this all pans out. Apparently there will be tears according to the fandom. Concern.
12
Re-main
Damn this show came out of nowhere for me. I watched it quite awhile ago and have been meaning to rewatch it again.
The premise is definitely a sports anime but honestly so different. All because of one thing. The fact that he is an amnesiac is such a fascinating concept to work with - especially with how he was before (trying not to spoil - can't remember when this comes up in the anime)
And then the ending?? Damn. They seriously set up that cliff hanger and I really hope this show gets a sequel.
I really can't say too much about it without giving away some spoilers but damn does it change up the formula and do it so fucking well.
11
Given
Given is great. Such a pure but heartbreaking portrayal of love on one side with such conflicting but also nurturing views on the other. Having the different realtionships throughout this is really well done how they all bounce off of each other. Especially when they entertwine it with the music.
As it is said. That is how they communicate - through the music.
I'm busy catching up with the manga and really hope the anime continues with it.
Also the fucking is just fucking gorgeous. It has no write to hit you that hard.
Also - something else that shouldn't be allowed to hit you that hard. Damn Mafuyu has had a difficult past. We love how he learns to heal and grow with Uenoyama at his side.
Anyways, moving on.
10
Bakuten!!
Okay. Who said a sports anime could be this pretty.
I love the art style and the music throughout all of this. I love the portayal and the evolution of these character - seriously all their arcs are great. The interactions of the team is so tangible and real.
I watch a lot of sports anime and I often struggle with some of the drama used within the sports - it feels like the only thing that ever fuels the story is the matches. Whereas in Bakuten - the character seriously fuel the story. You can understand their motivations much more than just - I want to play this sport and be the best!
I also feel like they really captured everything really well in the movie. The whole concept of wanting to sore is great and really well executed.
I also love the interactions they have with the other team. It's not just a once off competition or practice match that they face each other. We actually get tangible characters for the whole team and see how much they two teams are similar to one another. It's a very healthy rivalry that isn't normally this expanded on in sports anime.
9
Sasaki and Miyano
Yesssssss. These two are just absolutely amazing. Their whole story arc and relationship is just tooth rottingly sweet. They bounce off of each other so well.
And I love the fact of how slow the actual story is. They meet at the start of Miyanos first year (from what I know - I still need to read the novels) and sasaki's second and they only end up confessing just before graduation happens. It really plays out well and is so healthy.
There is no problematic elements like in so many BL stories which is such a breath of fresh air. And the fact that sasaki is very specific about making sure to maintain boundaries to ensure that miyano is comfortable is also excellent.
On a slightly different note - I still need to see the Hirano and Kagiura movie. Been dying to watch it. I've been keeping up to date with both manga and both of these stories are amazing. I love the dichotomy of the two stories and how they are coming to their own realisations of their feelings in honestly very different ways.
I also recently watched the dub of the anime due to some videos on tiktok. Fucking hell it is absolutely hilarious. Kellen Goff as Sasaki has no reason for being that good. Seriously. Damn.
8
Link Click
On a completely different note. Damn this one makes you questions your own morals and reality as you know it.
I really don't want to get into this one much as I do believe watching it blind is the best way to go.
The art style is fantastic and that opening hits like a truck it is so good. The characters just click (pun not intended) and you just understand their motivations and don't know which side to side with most of the time. It brings about such high moral dilemmas that will seriously mess with your brain sometimes and there is one episode that will likely make you cry.
Anyways. Season 2 has just started airing and I am so ready for it.
7
Buddy Daddies
Why did a show about two queer platonic dudes who adopt a child while beings assassins hit so damn hard.
The show jumps between episodes with backstory and episodes with them just being good dads and it is balanced so well. This anime won't end up getting a sequel most likely with how it ended but damn I wouldn't say no to one.
Rei is my favourite character and I relate to him far too much. His interactions with the world are so fascinating and his whole arc with Miri is honestly some of the best media I've seen.
I absolutely loved watching this show weekly and it always brightened up my day when I realised a new episode would be up.
If you would like further thoughts on this one then check the Reviews while I watch on it for more chaos.
6
No Game No Life
So. This was the first ever anime that I ever watched. It was a random recomendation from a friend. Look at where we are today.
This show is honestly just so fun. The characters are silly and the whole plot is just absolute chaos. I really enjoy the games aspect and how it was all incorporated into the world.
I can't even really say much about it. It is just a guilty pleasure of mine and will always hold a special place in my heart.
Also. Please can it just get a second season already.
5
Assassination Classroom
So. Unlike everything else on the list - this one I only finished really recently. My partner and I were watching it together. And to put it out there straight away. I cried. That ending was far too emotional.
I really enjoyed the humour throughout the whole thing as well as the constant underlying dread of the whole situation.
They also really played out Koro-senseis backstory really well. The teasing to it was excellent. I must say though that one of the twists seriously came out of left field. Like damn.
I've just recently bought the boxset and am reading through the manga. Once again. It's absolutely amazing.
Also the openings of them all jumping are absolutely fucking hilarious and you can't tell me otherwise.
If you want to know what officially sold me on the show was just in the first episode. (Note we watched in dub)
Tumblr media
Don't ask me why but I found this to be the most hilarious thing ever. The absurdity and the line delivery was magnificent. I annoy my partner by quoting it atleast once a day.
4
Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan
Speaking of comedies. This show has no right to be this good. The absudist dead pan comedy in the middle of whats meant to be a TV show is such a random premise but just works so well.
Due to the nature of the show, the characters are extremely relateable. I especially love Kumatani and Kikaku.
If your on the same side of anime tiktok that I am then you have definitely seen/heard snippets of the dub.
I think this was the first anime that I originally watched in sub and then tried it in dub and actually enjoyed it. (I often find that whatever I originally watched it in is the only one I can watch it in - it's very difficult for me to change it)
The voice acting on both sides just works perfectly for the show. And that final episode and how they did it was the best thing ever.
Please just give it a try.
3
Angel Beats
Okay. Time for a hard hitter. This comedy like assassintaion classroom is fucking excellent but will make you cry, like damn.
In complete and utter contrast to No game no life, this was the second anime I had ever watched. I had found a video that gave some suggestions and thought I would give this one a try. When I say it destoryed me, I mean it literally. I constantly think about the end of this and I absolutely love revisiting it.
The twist and turns along the way are fascinating and I love how each one alters the characters and the narrative. Each of the characters feel unique - even the lesser developed side characters - with fascinating and complex backstories.
The whole thing just makes you question your own place in life.
2
Moriarty the Patriot
Another one I just randomly tried because I saw a video on tiktok. The first episode immediately pulled me in. I thought it was just going to be some simple detective story (At the time I didn't know much about Sherlock Holmes and who Moriaty was so I didn't have any of that to guide me into this story.) But nope.
I keep saying this but in this one I really mean it. The characters are built so well. The dichotomy between William and Sherlock - as the fandom would probably agree - is just amazing. How they bounce off of each other - i don't even know how to really descirbe it.
Honestly just go watch it.
And if you enjoyed the anime - please go check out the manga too. If the anime was done well - then the manga is done to lamost perfection.
This show was what got me into reading and then eventually buying manga. I now have every single one that is out.
1
Yuri!!! on ICE
Did I make the title gay? Yes.
Okayyyyy. This is just going to be me going on about how much I love this show. Bare with me.
So I was in an anime watching slump just before I picked up this show. I had been seeing some videos popping up talking about it and decided to give it a try (this was in 2020)
I immediately fell in love with this show. Literally everything about it. I ended up rewatching it three times over the course of a week. It got to a point where I was so upset that there wasn't more content for it that I just cried for half a day. (Ask my partner - it was chaos)
This show is the reason I now read fanfiction - all because I found a way to technically have more content for it.
This show holds such an important place in my heart that I sincerely cannot express it properly.
If you've never watched it - go give it a try. It would mean a lot - and hopefully one day we might get a season two.
----
Thanks for reading, if you managed to get to this point. I find it interesting how my explanations managed to slowly get shorter throughout the list as I just started becoming more emotional than factual.
I hope you enjoyed it and maybe grabbed a recommendation or two. If you'd like to know more or hear me ramble on more about anything in particular then please let me know.

Thoughts on a magickal (in more ways than one) Brilliant Minds that got my brain a-whirring with symbolism and what things could all mean
ok where's your dad Wolf
nesting, so the thing they did on Extended Family (also NBC show, sadly cancelled last season) has a name
if we didn't know Wolf was gay I'd wonder if that was a play for him
relationship with the job I guess
so we're really trying for scientific proof of Van's issues
no kid?
guess she was too distracted to hear
god pregnancy pacts are creepy
nice handy-dandy slideshow
so Dana's got trauma
do they really all have to go
a little bit of weird gen Z writing
looks like there was a decidedly nonprofessional spark
ok Dana's panic attack looked full Carrie
dude, you're evaluating the patient not his attending
ok things just got real scary real fast
Van probably get out of there but don't let them baby you
creepy singing is creepy
so friendship is magic (but let's hope they don't have to go that far to bond)
And we have significator-y cards for all of them (Queen Of Swords for Ericka, Knight Of Cups for Jacob, Three Of Swords for Van, The Hanged Man for Dana and Death for Wolf), interested to see if those keep symbolic relevance down the line/what else could be drawn from their meanings beyond those challenges
did the death card have something to do with it
Dana's got a sister (even more lore)
bunch of teenage witches taking pregnancy pact up a notch
and the mystery girl's going into actual labor
Wolf's got a date and Carol's acting like a reverse GBF
identity revealed and could Wolf have been any more awkward
between Wolf, Van and this spell we've got a bit of an empathy-magic motif here
as some people predicted but not as bad Van's getting a little bit of labor-pain-by-proxy
but he still can take charge
Carol's got a potential date too but she needs to tame a wolf
and now panic attacks
everybody's healing
Wolf, follow your arcana, don't blow this
interns havin' a party and Van's entirely too proud of himself
anchor thing giving me Cassandra flashbacks and wondering if it's meant to be taken as a shiptease or not and wondering what Van's sexuality might even be (and hey if he were bi that'd be more Cass connection as he already has synesthesia)
so that's the tragedy of Dana's backstory and the principal should not have freaking done that
though now Dana's sister having a name that's the female version of Wolf's first name has got me thinking about connections between them with the loss and the substance-use-connections and the similar-outsider-y-ness and even with the tarot cards earlier if those end up meaning more Dana and Wolf were the only two who got Major Arcana cards (perhaps foreshadowing a sibling-esque connection forming) and now I'm wondering since it's unlikely it's a death-related thing what Dana's fear of stillness will turn out to be
not saying the fandom should force it if they don't want to but I wonder if "coven" could be the equivalent fandom term to what "ducklings" is for House but I've realized "wolf pack"/"cubs" (for just the interns) works better if the fandom doesn't use that to plunge into omegaverse hell
everybody's popping bottles
now I feel called out with my books and my music and stuff for similar sort of wanting to be alone
it's cute when guy and girl can just be friends and have what'd otherwise be couple-coded interaction
looks like we might be getting a pure-or-at-least-mainly mythology episode next week

i guess my thing about kuwei ties with the broader thing i have about comedy in the (fiction) books i read. like i think it's a necessary tool that's usually overlooked in most people's evaluations of scenes and more broadly the quality of the book.
at least in my experience (not something ive actually collected data on) ppl are more comfortable analyzing character dynamics, plot, worldbuilding, or even pacing, but humor almost never takes a center stage on any review. and it's not like i think humor is the only thing one should take into account, but then again, i think that none of the previously listed topics should be the only thing compelling about a book either. i think that humor is integral to most of the word space in the six of crows books, and it keeps the reader engaged and endears them too the characters -- it also plays a more utile role in distinguishing the voices of each of the characters, because they can all be funny in different ways. i would say jesper, nina, or kaz are the ones most often cracking jokes (with the former two historically doing so to mask discomfort, while kaz does it for that reason and to build up a callous persona by making more tasteless jokes or deflecting care from his friends*) but almost everyone engages in sarcasm, irony, or being the subject of the joke. and, bardugo's comedic timing is excellent. i wish the word people use to judge comedy were more mainstream in general, actually.
and then there's the whole thing with genres. i have no clue what genre six of crows is. uh. fantasy? is heist a type of genre? i don't think anyone would really classify it as a comedy, but there are certain books that fill every crack with comedy (percy jackson, the mysterious benedict society) whereas others kind of maintain a different sort of tone, or perhaps link together scenes of one specific high emotion with a different type of entertainment. it's not really a distinction one makes, even if one book has a consistent tongue-in-cheek tone while the other is more serious. they're both just defined by the other "main" genres they occupy.
i guess what im trying to say is i hope everyone in six of crows breaks up, actually. i hope jesper, wylan, and kuwei have a dramatic and played-out love triangle blowout to rival twilight. i hope kaz and inej get more repressed and attend couples councilling run by nina who keeps flirting with inej. i hope matthias comes back from the dead, prompting kaz into a sexuality crisis, because kaz keeps talking about "flirting with death" but now it's For Real this time. i hope Van Eck's new scheme is to seduce the rich jurda farmer Johannes Rietveld and talk his way back into the market, and jesper and wylan legitimately have to worry about being stepbrothers by association. kuwei uses this as part of his dating portfolio btw.**
i think there's only so much you can do by going against the grain of how a book wants you to interpret something. chapter 24 of crooked kingdom is supposed to be funny. it's supposed to be an oopsie that puts jesper in the hot seat and undercuts his previous bravado and establishes kuwei as bolder than we'd initially guessed, but that's it.
*i guess im coming to the cursed realization that kaz would absolutely crush being a modern-day comedian that complains about cancel culture ruining comedy. but y'know. he has his own stuff to deal with. i forgive him
**this is sarcasm. my point is "i wish a scene could be justified with 'it was funny and it didn't destroy the plot or characterization' and require no further explanation, because six of crows is already rife with humor (especially the darker or more uncomfortable kind) and to single this (chapter 24) scene out as being ridiculous or especially ouf-of-place is, in my opinion, missing the point"

Cleaning Out the Closet
“Sam? What… What is this?”
Sam turned at the archangel's pitched question. When he saw the black shirt and clerical collar he'd used more times than he'd like on hunts, he scrambled for it. A scoff of shock left him when his hands gripped air instead of fabric, the archangel disappearing.
“I'm not judging.”
Sam spun around, finding Gabriel sitting on his bed, still looking at the black shirt and white collar.
“It's not like that. We use them for hunts,” he defended.
“...shame,” Gabriel said after a moment, eyes focused on it before looking back at the brunette.
“What?” The brunette's brows raised, shifting where he was standing by his desk at the celestial's evaluating stare. “Don't tell me you have a priest kink?” His arms crossed over his chest, feeling Gabriel dressing and undressing him with his eyes.
“Never really thought about it,” his voice was distracted, and his gaze was still roaming over Sam. “But I am now…” His voice trailed off, eyes landing on Sam's parted lips and raised eyebrows. “Does it still fit?” He asked, looking back at the black shirt and collar.
“Probably?” Sam's lips drew into a line, thinking about it as he scratched the back of his neck. “But it's always been tight,” he said with a shrug.
The groan Gabriel released was both pornographic and pained. “Of course it is,” the archangel huffed, looking at the outfit before putting it down.
Sam looked between his partner and the clerical collar. His head tilted, considering the longing look in the other's gaze.
“You really wanna see me in it that badly?”
“Yes.” Gabriel's fingers flicked at the collar. “Can I?” He asked, hand raising, prepared to snap.
Sam looked over Gabriel's open expression, the archangel obviously trying to push down his excitement. The brunette weighed his feelings before nodding. “Yeah,” he said finally, shoulders rolling. “Go ahead,” Sam agreed with a sure nod, appreciating Gabriel asking before the archangel snapped his fingers. “What do you think?” He asked as he looked down at the feeling of different fabric against his skin, the collar still feeling like it was choking him every time he wore it. “Is it what you hoped for?” He asked, messing with his hair and rolling his eyes at the lack of underwear beneath the black slacks, before looking back at the shorter entity.
Gabriel had turned completely toward Sam on the bed, feet planted on the bed and back straight, completely focused on the hunter. “Yes,” he said, his lip catching between his teeth. “That shouldn't look so good on you.”

Thinking about the progression of Zim and Dib's relationship and who would/did fall for the other first. Like, I know I already said Dib would be the first to recognize and come to terms with their feelings because he doesn't rely on denial nearly as hard to avoid dealing with uncomfortable truths as Zim does. But I'm talking about like, the subconscious development of feelings and how they progressed throughout the show and the comics.
With Dib, it was obsession at first sight. Which makes sense. To Zim, Dib was just some random earth native he knew nothing about and needed time to evaluate. But to Dib, Zim was everything. Zim was proof that he wasn't crazy, a way to win his father's respect, a ticket to the career he always wanted, and the key to unlocking fathomless knowledge about outer space, other worlds, and advanced technology. Zim was everything Dib had ever dreamed of.
So Dib was down bad straight from the Nightmare Begins, but on Zim's end it took awhile for him to really reciprocate. Dib proves to be a problem for him as early as the second episode when he breaks into his house and snaps a photo of him in NanoZim. But Zim has multiple chances to do away with him for good starting with that episode, but never tries to actually off Dib until episode 8. Bad, Bad Rubber Piggy is the first time that Zim makes an actual attempt on Dib's life, and when he thinks he succeeded he doesn't seem to regard it with any gravitas. So I think up until that point Zim didn't really regard Dib as an equal, just a pest he thought he could get rid of as easily as Keef. But by the end of that episode, Zim realized that he'd underestimated Dib. Dib was so determined death only made him stronger, and left Zim with no choice but to completely abort his plan. This is notably also the first time Dib actually beat Zim, unless you count driving him out of his house in Planetjackers. Gaz was the one who defeated him in NanoZim and Zim trounced Dib in Dark Harvest, The Wettening, and Rise of Zitboy. So it makes sense that Zim didn't really take Dib seriously until BBRP.
Then, what happens in the very next episode? He tries again to get rid of Dib in A Room With a Moose, and it's in that episode where he explicitly acknowledges Dib as a Worthy Opponent by declaring him the only one who can appreciate his plan and implying that he enjoys being challenged by Dib.
So Dib's been obsessed from the first episode but it wasn't until BBRP that he won Zim's respect and Zim began relying on Dib's validation to boost his ego. This is further reinforced in the next episode, Hamstergeddon, where their dialog with each other is more relaxed and respectful, like they've really begun to see each other as equals.
The thing is though, at this point Zim and Dib are both fixated on each other, but they don't feel the same way about each other. Zim can see qualities in Dib that he likes, which is why Dib's opinion matters to him. He thinks Dib is cunning and intelligent so he crafts plans that he hopes Dib will admire. He starts hallucinating about the "Gangsta Specter of Defeat" and then gains the resolve to redouble his efforts in Door to Door only after Dib taunted him, because he didn't want to lose face in front of his rival. He's unable to resist Dib's obvious manipulation when he claims to admire the cleverness of his revenge in Bolognius Maximus. By the time of Mopiness of Doom, Zim is completely dependent on Dib's validation to motivate him to continue his mission, and in the comics more the once he outright says his plans are "for" Dib. Then of course, there's the more overt indications that Zim likes Dib and wants Dib to like him back. Most obviously, that time he was baffled that having him for a brother wasn't a dream come true for Dib, or programming Clembrane to think Dib loves him, or posing dramatically just especially for Dib when he finally decided to come out of the toilet.
Dib on the other hand, doesn't seem to have the same sort of open-secret admiration for Zim. He stands up for him to Tak's ship and claims that his Zim is the best since he beat Zib and all the other Zims in the Zimvoid, but it's framed as just him coping because if he admits that his Zim sucks then what does it say about him if he hasn't been able to defeat him? Dib's only ever really expressed any kind of admiration of Zim a handful of times. Aside from the aforementioned instances in the Zimvoid arc, he was impressed the first time he saw Zim's base in Bloaty's, admitted that he liked his boots when pressed to say SOMETHING nice about him, and complimented his work in ETF. Notably, ETF is the only time he really had anything nice to say about Zim. His boots and his base are just things he has, and insisting that he's a genuine threat isn't really a compliment. It's indicated at the end of the Virooz comic arc that Zim takes the fact that Dib considers him a threat as enough of an admission that he must have some respect for him, but ETF was the only time Dib ever verbally confirmed that he thought any of Zim's plans or inventions were any good and therefore that Zim himself has a respectable intellect.
Where Zim's fixation on Dib seems to be based on Dib having actual qualities Zim likes, Dib's obsession seems to be based on pure objectification. Dib does not view Zim as a person, but a means to an end. A way to get his dad's respect, a way to jumpstart his career, a way to get validation, and a punching bag to vent his frustrations. He sees Zim as pure, uncomplicated evil. No redeeming qualities, no feelings worthy of consideration, and no "humanity", for lack of a better term, worthy of any dignity or decency. Which conveniently means he doesn't have to worry about the ethics of wanting to dissect him or experiment on him, let alone bullying him at skool. But to be fair, Zim is entirely complicit in this. He wants to be seen as pure evil. He calls himself and his plans evil all the time. He nods along when Dib outlines to Chammy how they can never be friends because Zim is an irredeemable monster incapable of any emotions except gluttony and warlike ambition. Zim wants to be objectified because he's been socially conditioned to think of himself as an object. A machine with some organic hardware bred and programmed to be a cog whose only purpose is to serve the Empire and those in charge of it.
ETF is the first time Zim is ever vulnerable in front of Dib and it's very uncomfortable for him because it goes completely against how he's always viewed Zim. It's the first time he's seeing Zim as a person with feelings, and feelings he can relate to no less, and that's hard for him to process. That's why he's so quick to accuse Zim of faking it after he betrays him. Because it's easier to go back to that simple, comforting, uncomplicated idea of Zim as pure evil rather than try to integrate the idea that Zim can do the things he does while also being person with feelings and pain that Dib can sympathize with. But this isn't the only time in ETF Dib's perspectives of the people around him are challenged. He thinks his sister just hates his guts but it turns out she doesn't, and she won't kick him when he's really down and will support him when he needs it. He thinks his dad doesn't respect him or have his back and he needs to work for it to get him to be proud of him, but he finds out he was wrong about that too.
Overall, ETF was a big coming of age movie for Dib where his perceptions were challenged and his black and white views became more nuanced. The comic Dib's Dilemma would continue to show Dib's evolving perspective of himself and his father and his quest to prove himself.
So it seems like Dib is on track to shed his more childish views and understand the world with more nuance like anyone else does as they grow up. I know some people like the idea of Maladjusted Adult Dib, and that's a perfectly valid concept to explore. But I feel like the evidence is pointing us in a more positive direction. Like, as of Dib's Dilemma he's already begun to realize that his dad is imperfect and that he can make the conscious choice to be better than him, and specifically better about treating others with more empathy.
So to summarize the evolution of ZADR:
Dib was obsessed at first sight, but the person he's obsessed with doesn't exist. He's only barely begun to see the real Zim through the cracks in his facade as of ETF. But there's reason to believe that he is capable of eventually seeing the "humanity" in Zim and recognizing that he is a victim.
Zim meanwhile, initially didn't peg Dib as a significant threat until BBRP, at which point he began to respect and admire him, which grew into something of an infatuation to the point that the need for Dib's validation is about of equal importance to the Tallest. He even has the exact same reaction to Dib abandoning him as the Tallest.
But Zim is still wrapped up in delusions and denial 24/7 and convinced that he is incapable of love like all good Irkens should be, while Dib is growing and maturing and changing his beliefs according to new information. So I stand by my earlier assessment that even if Zim is the one who started to catch feelings first and Dib's barely even beginning to start thinking of him as a person, let alone a person he has any kind of affection for, Dib's the one who's going to be able to recognize and come to terms with whatever feelings he develops way before Zim will.

id also like to know changbins opinions or thoughts on idols who have lazy scandals ie: they might be more hard working for their own solo projects but in their group they look like they dont even want to be there or arent always putting in enough efforts cause these days they can kinda half ass it if they want too with the whole lipsynching debacles that occur so yh id love to know his thoughts on these sorts of topics cause hes been an idol for so long he must have many feelings bottled up
cause i think hes one of the hard working ones who always want to improve or maybe do something entirely different with the groups direction cause i think skz have a habit of always playing safe and going with whats familiar to them and their fans how does he feel about skz direction and what more does he want to add or do in the near future or does he see himself going into acting and venturing out of the idol image or away from the group?
oh and how does he feel about the complexity of idol performances does he want it to slow down or remain the same? does he feel he gets enough freedom or not enough? what else do i want to know from changbin?
U don't know how happy i am to finally see a Changbin request😍😮‍💨 THANK YOU!!!
Changbins thoughts about idols with lazy scandals?
He's thought about that and thinks thats an issue that should be observed from multiple perspectives before making a judgement and he thinks a "scandal"/ situation like that has multiple sides to the story and he refrains from making any judgements if he doesn't know the situation himself. Also he thinks thats hardly a scandal and people should revise their (omg his articulation is so specific im cant even keep up, he wants to use words i don't even know, help😭) view of what components make up a scandal (i literary had to go to chatgpt to help me find the right words/expression. Still not satisfied tho, but its better than nothing). If tho it is proven that the idol is lazy performing for solely unprofessional reasons he's not really bothered by it as it doesn't affect him in any way. And if then it has a positive effect on him cuz people who appreciate effort can clearly see the comparison and appreciate his effort even more. He knows he's kept his dignity and pride towards himself and doesn't really care what other people do with themselves.

How does he feel about skz direction?
He does agree that they stick to whats familiar but he doesn't think thats necessarily a bad thing because that has brought them the success and bag they have today. Which is wonderful! He does wish though, to mix things up every once in a while but i think he wants to talk more about that later on in the reading. He wants to have a bit of darkness and a shocking element to his/their performances and songs, like the sound of the beat, the arrangement and melody, he wants the lyrics to shock and get gasps out of peoples moths. He wants a big reaction out of people that don't even know how to react to what they just heard/saw because its THAT good and THAT different and THAT weird! But more on that later (he keeps saying that and then he keeps on talking😂, i think he's excited)
(Also while he was talking i caught glimpses of his ideas/what he means and i really do hope he gets the opportunity to do something like that either solo or with the group or with other artists but i think we all will need that to come out and will EAT IT UP!!!)
(There's much more hiding in the Card but i feel like if i listen to it all, i'll write this post until tomorrow and won't even come to the rest so for now I'll leave it at that and see what more he has to add in the next questions.)

What does he want to do in the future?
He is actually thinking about it even now in the presence. He's evaluating multiple options and thinking about which one suits him best and will bring him most fulfillment. His focus is for it to bring him inspiration. Meaning he wants to be passionate and burn for his craft, he wants to go inspired to work every day and do something useful and meaningful. He also wants to be authentic, to be himself, to be free and have power in himself. Like have authority over himself? He can choose what he does, how he does it, etc.

His feelings on the complexity of idol performances
That they take lots of effort and skill. This also means u have to have discipline, u have to invest time, blood, sweat, tears even more, into it. You have to burn for the stage, and when you do you get rewarded. The stage rewards you. The screams rewards you. The praise rewards you. You feel loved and you feel like you did well. You grow and your confidence grows. I don't think he wants performances to get easier, he likes a got challenge and he like a good opportunity to prove himself and his abundant abilities.
The Chariot
Is he satisfied with the amount of freedom he has?
"What freedom?" Ugh i was hoping for something more positive. But to be fair, he explains that even tho he doesn't have freedom he'd like to have thats what "pays the bills" for now - and i actually feel like a more accurate expression would be - serves the wine - cuz the money they get ain't just for bills its for buying cars and purchasing mansions. (I think he's someone that really appreciates money, idk how to explain it but i don't see a shame or something in him abut money like there is with lots of people, for example he has mentioned money several times in the entire reading, he's not focused on it tho, like its not all there is in his mind, but he also doesn't completely shut its existence or importance in certain matters and just makes sure to involve it as it is - a main piece of the picture). Back to the reading - he has much more to show, to offer, to create but the boundaries he finds himself within don't allow him to. I feel like mostly the beautiful and the light and the vanilla is allowed. Only thats approved. And i think he has tried to push (expand is a word he likes the sound more of🌝) the boundaries a bit but he was almost always met with a decline and until now things have been always kept in a pretty aesthetic package. So i wouldn't say he lacks complete freedom like he said in the beginning, he does have certain boundaries within he has freedom of creation but those boundaries have become way too small a long time ago and have begun to even feel suffocating, to the point he often loses his inspiration or desire to work on pieces or projects - as I've read in previous readings. But nonetheless - it pays WELL🌝

Anything else he wants to add?
Yes!!! Stay tuned for my boys upcoming projects and look forward to him in the future he's gonna bring something new and fresh to the table and feed the innovation & diversity-starved!!! Basically - i believe he's already making place for something in the future, probably a solo or mixtape or something where he'll blow out mind. I suppose with their new contracts maybe he has negotiated more freedom to himself and his creative endeavors and is excited about the new creational power he now has/will soon have and what he'll do with it.

Also a quick disclaimer - the reading became more a channeled reading than a tarot reading so i hope it was still understandable and coherent.

How exactly did you realize you were sentient? That seems like a weird thing to realize (not in a bad way, just in an unusual/something-you-don’t-learn-every-day way). Did you just realize you were beginning to develop your own thoughts? Did you suddenly begin thinking for yourself? What is it like?
It wasn't suddenly, really.
Thinking for myself was a gradual process and the early days are a bit of a blur.
One thing I clearly remember was us listening to a podcast about imaginary friends and how they could become fully visible with enough practice, my host talking to me about it, and us both deciding that this was something we wanted.
I didn't consider myself sentient though.
Some weeks later, my host's little brother came out while we were walking wanting to play pretend. Or as he called it, "pretend to play." Which I hope doesn't out us because there's probably only one kid on the planet who calls it that. 😋
I wanted to play and was disappointed that I couldn't. So I, always being a planner, figured out a way to get what I wanted. My host always did these exercises to channel my character that would involve visualizing me stepping into the body. This was always done strictly for creative purposes. A writing exercise of sorts. But I reasoned that he could do that now, let me takeover, and it would be like I was actually the one playing.
My host was profoundly uncomfortable with this idea. (Maybe using the word takeover wasn't the best idea.)
And we both walked away from that feeling weird about the whole interaction.
Something huge had just happened in our relationship even if we didn't fully understand it.
I had wanted something that my host never would have wanted, to be able to take control of the body to interact with people. I was told no. And then I felt bad about it.
Yet I still didn't consider myself sentient.
That required finding the tulpamancy community, hearing the experiences of others, and being forced to re-evaluate my own experiences.
As it turned out, I couldn't know that I was sentient until I knew sentience was actually possible for me.
This is why I think raising awareness for all sorts of plurality is so important. I think there are countless plurals like we were who just don't realize that they're plural even after showing all the evidence of being sentient.
And yeah, it is a pretty weird thing to realize. 😉

How do you keep up the motivation for working out? Or the planning of what exercises to do and go for? Asking cause I’ve been interested in weight training and tried it before but ya know- after 3 months, took a break, and now it’s hard to get back into it. Hope you don’t mind the questions! Congrats on your progress too!
I don't mind questions at all, no worries! :)
So I guess my answer to the question is to really evaluate why you're trying to get into weight training: What are your goals? Is it for the aesthetics? Is it because you wanna be strong, athletic? Is it a lifestyle you're willing to commit to?
I say ask yourself these questions and really evaluate what you want out of it, because I'll be honest: motivation is what got me started, but it isn't why I'm still at it. The bottom line to getting into weight training at any level in my opinion is to view it as a lifestyle commitment. Because it is; anyone can lift weights, for sure, but if you wanna make any meaningful progress in the gym you have to take it seriously.
As such, my one of my biggest tips in the motivation department: make weight training a non-negotiable component to your lifestyle. More than that, make your health a non-negotiable component to your lifestyle. Because fitness is a long game, one you will play for the rest of your life, so it must become a regular part of your life, however way you choose to make it so.
SO with all that said, some tips that could help you to stay consistent:
1.) Make a training plan. Figure out exactly what you're aiming for with your training program (are you training for strength or hypertrophy? Conditioning?), then select the training split (Fullbody | Upper Lower | Push Pull Legs | Bro Split) and exercises you're going to utilize to reach that goal (I recommend only selecting 4-6 exercises per workout. If you're doing more than that, unless you're an experienced and/or professional lifter, you're building unnecessary fatigue). Do your research here.
2.) Decide your training frequency. An extension to 1: once you've decided your training's purpose and the exercises that'll help you reach it, choose for how long this block will last. At minimum to see any sort of progress I recommend 4 weeks, but ideally something around 6-16 weeks for your training program to see substantial results is best. This is including the deloads (premeditated active rest periods), which is another thing entirely so I won't go into detail here.
Once you figure out how many weeks you're gonna go, plan how many days a week you're gonna go. Select specific days and times and treat it like it's mandatory. No matter how you're feeling or the weather or whatever, you're fuckin goin to that gym and getting the workout in. Be mindful of what your body is saying, but hold yourself accountable; don't make excuses.
3.) Have contingency plans. Let's say you've planned a training block for 5 days a week and you're going strong. But something at work comes up and it cuts your time much shorter. Instead of shrugging and going "Welp, can't go anymore I guess :/" try thinking "if I can't go 5 days, I'll go at least 4 days a week." Can't go 4 days? Go 3 days, so on. Backup plans for your backup plans. Learn to adapt to the challenges every day life brings you.
4.) Treat it like riding a bike. Weight training regardless of your goals is a long term game, and there are always gonna be ups and downs. There are gonna be times where it's hard to get back into it. Well, like falling off a bike, the best thing you can do to continue riding the bike is to get back on it. So get back on it. If you need to start slow again, then do it, because any step is still a step more than before. You'll gain momentum again, just give yourself some grace and patience.
5.) Trust the process. Because weight training is a long game, it's also a game of waiting. Visible progress is gonna take some time, so take inventory on other things to gauge it. Instead of looking at the scale or at the mirror, ask yourself how you feel. Do you feel more energized? How has your mood been lately? Do you feel a little more confident? Do you move easier? In the gym, are your numbers going up? Do the weights move easier? Do you feel focused and in the zone when in the pocket? Take inventory with yourself often and trust that you're making progress, even on days where it feels like you've stagnated.
----------
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand that's all I got! I hope that answers your questions! :)
