Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but I don't believe we ever got to hear your thoughts on the MLP finale. I'd love to hear them. Some pretty good RariTwi moments in there, as well as heavily implied AppleDash.

I didn't ever talk about the ending of the MLP finale because I stopped watching well before that! I largely quit watching the show after Starlight Glimmer became a permanent fixture; I enjoy her design, and I REALLY liked her as a villain, but the moment they added her to the main cast I felt like the quality of the show degraded rather quickly in terms of stories and character development/involvement.

It felt a lot like the characters, specifically the mane 6, kinda were forced to regress for the sake of keeping the show going and I just didn't jive with the direction the show was going.

For me to have finished the show back then, Starlight would've had to have been the occasional reoccuring character and not a constant one, her character would've been far harder to rehabilitate, the School of Magic couldn't have happened, and Grogar would've been a legitimate separate villain and not just Discord trying to "prepare" Twilight to be the new princess of all Equestria.

I'm likely gonna go back and watch the show through again and attempt to reach the end this go round; maybe I'll enjoy it now, but something tells me that likely won't be the case.

Something I’ve always loved about the lore of Gargoyles is how it was never rebooted or subjected to Comic Book Time (i.e. recent installments having their setting updated to whatever the “modern day” happens to be at the time of release). The story begins in 1994 and continues in real time from there, even after the actual show itself ended, going on with the comics and other material.

That is pretty cool, and helps with keeping the lore and story consistent as it develops! I've never read any of the comics and I'm unsure if I'll read 'em after I finish rewatching the show, but it's impressive just how true to a natural progression of time Gargoyles maintains. owo

What's your favorite kind of character to create? Some examples would be creatures, monsters, anthro, feral?

Assuming you mean like, characters I actually make and design? Always always always monsters! I enjoy drawing any character though I do gravitate toward bipedal creatures and monsters the most. I categorize my monsters/creatures mentally into two types:

-"Humanoid", in which they look human but are obviously not fully human and have animal/creature design features (horns, fangs, claws, wings, tail, partially/somewhat covered in fur or scales or so on).

-"Bestial", in which they look like animals/creatures but have some human-esque traits features (like standing upright, hands, so on). Most could be considered "anthro" to some capacity in a broad sense.

Regardless of that: is the monster tall? Muscular? One of the above "categories"? Chances are I'm gonna have a blast drawing/designing them. Things like werewolves/werecreatures, tieflings, dragonborn, gargoyles, harpies, fawns, so on; I EAT THAT SHIT UP. ;w;

im curious about your versions of Brooklyn, Broadway and Lexington! ive always loved those three, mainly because theyre like the 3 braincells that bounce around in the teenage brain of bad ideas.

I've already drawn 2 of the 3 over on my Patreon actually! :) Dunno what part theyll play in the AU yet, but for now I'm working on reimagining the primary cast's designs without losing their familiarity. Goliath and Demona have a (not so very) productive conversation. Probably the most civil they've ever been in years... at the very least, no one walks away with new scars so. Progress?

Another Gargoyles piece for that AU! This was largely just to get a feel of the characters' designs as well as testing out their voices in a potential scene in the story. Basically playin' around to see what sticks to the idea wall. Dialogue will be below, just know it may not actually make final cut! :)

As a quick aside: I do have the first half of the AU brainstormed and written down, so I'll be sharin' tidbits of that soon! owo

(mock context: Goliath has noticed Elisa spending more time with Demona than usual and vice versa and immediately gets suspicious)

Goliath: What are your intentions with Elisa? What are you planning?

Demona: Oh, Goliath. If anything, you should be questioning Elisa's intentions with me. She confides in me, seeks me out... perhaps even prefers my company.

(Goliath narrows his eyes as his nose curls further into a beginnings of a snarl.)

Demona: (Bares her teeth in a mockery of a smile) Careful, love. With that look, I'd mistake you as jealous.

Goliath: Make no mistake, Demona. The only reason you're permitted here is because Angela requested it, naive as it is. Whatever Elisa does with you, it's to support that decision. I trust them both... and beyond my expectations, you've lasted this long with little incident...

(Goliath takes a step closer to properly tower over his former mate. She simply looks up with disdain in her eyes)

Goliath: ...But I don't trust you, Demona. Sooner or later, your true nature will break through. And I will be here when it happens.

so what are your thoughts on the new dk game? will it impact some of your nintendo hc's?

Dunno! Looks good, I like that it's somewhat reminiscent of Yoshi's Island based on visual alone (creechooooor takes care of kiddo. I don't actually know why Pauline is there tho), and the designs are wonderful. All that said I currently don't have any plans of paying much attention to it. Mainly because I don't have the Switch 2 lol

I mentioned a while ago the Super Mario headcanon will be undergoing a massive change aaand it's already done so. I have an outline written for how I'd like the story to go, and I do like the idea of maybe DK raising Pauline Tarzan style but as of right now I have no ideas for either of them. o3o

The path to redemption sure ain't a straight one. :)

Still got Gargoyles on the brain, and what better way to scratch that itch than to draw a human and her supernatural situationship with her ex's ex?

But to be real, I am making tentative progress on that Gargoyles AU! Got myself the start of an outline at least and some ideas for scenes. Basic synopsis of it for anyone new or needing a reminder: it explores the idea of Demona successfully redeeming herself and giving up her 1000 year old grudge against... well. The world basically.

One of the things I'd like to play with in the AU is how Demona and Elisa's relationship changes over the course of the redemption. In the midst of that gradual change, she and Elisa end up finding common ground. Enough to where they begin to see their once tremulous truce hurtle toward a trajectory neither expected.

TLDR they're fuckin gay baby.

BUT YE! I think I'm about ready for the concept art stage, so there's probably gonna be a few sketches of the crew comin' along soon enough and some notes on the AU as I bang my head against that wall. Until then I hope ya like the art! uwu

I'm considering just going on a bit of a posting spree of things I drew but never posted, whether or not it was finished. Not too sure if I will, but here's one as a lil freebie of sorts!

Back in 2023 I had the idea of doing a lil miniseries of the Glamrock crew in a pose with their hands shaped like a heart. A "CHOOSE YOUR CHARACTER" style thing that was pretty unserious, but before I ever got to clean up it just fizzled out with these two half-finished. Looking at them now, I actually like how they came out even if they aren't done, so I'm seriously considering maybe finishing the set with Roxxie, Chica, and Bonnie. 🤔 I dunno!

Until then though, have Freddie and Monty giving ya'll a lil love. :)
