Oh, the joy pain of being a baby turtle...

Yes, it was a joy until it became a broken heart T.T Thankfully two lovely souls ❤️ corrected me here on the comment section and told me that actually the artist stated that these comics are not connected to GGDD and he's a GG anti 😡😡😡😡

I'll leave this post here for some time so other baby turtles can be aware of this, just like me. Sorry for not knowing about this before posting! I guess it's part of our baby bxg journey 😪

Just yesterday I found out about Buya & Boji, and I got SO SHOCKED AND GIGGLING AND BLUSHING AND KICKING MY FEET. Maybe I'm too late for the party, but I thought it was one of the cutest CPN/candies of all!!!! 🥺

For those who like me until yesterday don't know what I'm talking about, there is this ~amazing~ X thread very detailed about it but in short: someone released this character, Buya, on Weibo in June 2018 - it's a duck. Then Boji's - a chicken - first appearance was in July 2018. C'mon, Boji > Bodi > Bo-di? Seriously?!

Then TONS OF coincidences with GGDD started to show in how they were portrayed and interacted with each other in the comics. Ok, some people will say: but everybody knows how GG and DD interacted in the never-ending footage of CQL behind the scenes. Sure, but notice the date: it was first released IN JUNE 2018, way before people had access to those videos - in fact, the filming was still ongoing. And then, on December 24, 2018, GG used a Buya drawing as his Instagram profile pic. WHAT?!?!

Anyway, you can check that X thread for all the deets but I just wanted to share how lovely I thought it was 🥰 and maybe someone like me who didn't know about this will feel the same way! ❤️

I like it when the turtles act like turtles, I just think its fun! I like it when they chirp and churr and click or when they like the spend time in the water and can hold their breath for a long time. I like it when they get slower in the winter because of brumation and when they have heat lamps to bask under. I like it when they are turtles!!!!

35.) Which character relationships are your favorite to write/draw?

I really like sibling relationships so really any of the relationships between the brothers. I have a little sister and I like incorporating little aspects from our own relationship into how the brothers interact with each other. A lot of Mikey's mannerisms are based on how my sister acts. I suppose specifically how Mikey and Leo interact in TLP is based mostly off how my sister and I interact with each other and I find that a lot of fun to write and draw.

(this is Mudlark) idk if ill ever have the energy to draw this ever but I think the funniest potential crossover between DOTH and CY would just be cy!Donnie meeting Bella. bc Bella would be having to deal with this alt world Gale (same turtle but this kid was raised by her uncle fr fr) while Donnie keeps following her around and it's a constant stream of "so you're my cousin? Can I call you makaḷ then? how come you dont have a tilak? if you don't have a parent to do yours I can do it. Can I do your eye makeup? How old are you? Did you know our grandparents? What did-" it's endless and they refuse to stop for even a second.

omg she would be so freaked out but also really pleased? She'd love this kid so much. She'd also be a terrible influence and she's totally aware of that, but this kid already curses like a sailor so she figures she's in the clear. (Bella actually does really like kids, she just doesn't really know how to interact with them)

Now I'm imagining how Bella would fit into your world. I don't think she would actually be that different, even though your Draxum is from the other side of the planet as mine, since her human genes are from her dad and would have gotten that Swedish/Jewish culture stuff from his family anyway. Some differences in her mother and their family day-to-days, but considering when and where she grew up they probably still tried to act as white as they could. I mean, her mother had to suppress that part of herself a little bit anyway, but most rural people in those areas are already descended from Scandinavian immigrants and I made the Draxum family Viking wannabes, (partly because of Huginn and Muninn are Odin's ravens in Norse mythology but also because Asatru was like the main religion I played in Crusader Kings 3 at the time and I was obsessed) so a lot of her customs blended in with the local culture anyway, completely by luck. That wouldn't be the case if she was Tamil. And she did not want to draw attention to herself.

But Bella would absolutely let Donnie do her tilak.

2. i’d say the fic im most proud of would be my glass turtles fic. it was a lot when i was writing it and maybe the only tmnt fic ive ever had hate on?😅 but it’s a fic that i am really glad i stuck with and put out there :)

3. i love me a good sick!fic !! and any whump fics are just like. pure gold to my heart lol — i do quite enjoy writing sainw fics were mikey loses his arm or i have a soft spot for epileptic rise mikey after the movie events :) but i plan on more medical based fics because it’s all i know lol

and as for me !!

1. i love the colour orange :) my bedroom is orange and everyone told me it would look silly but it’s so warm and glowy and makes me feel so safe :)

2. i had a really amazing opportunity to go to thailand just before the 2020 pandemic where i stayed in a little villa on a beach. i was having pretty bad jet lag and woke up early nearly every morning i was there and would just go sit on this quiet, empty beach with the warmth on my face as the sun came up. this was just a few months before my life got really hectic with family members becoming ill/dying and i just appreciate that i got to have that to kind of hold onto, in a way. to always remind me of the goodness in the world <3

3. i have a terrible habit of underrating at work 😬 but sometimes the kitchen staff are nice enough to make me up some potato croquettes that are just so so nice haha

4. my closet is a complete mismatch! :D i dont really have a set style of pretty much anything in my life so its a healthy mixture of lights and darks and all in between :)

5. i do!! i have a black cat that is just the sweetest lady in the whole world :3 she likes to sleep under the blankets curled up next to me and chew on my hair lol

Introduction!

You guys can call me Kit. I plan to post art stuff here and just generally have a good time! But I also wish to share something. My sibling and I have been creating a fanfiction together that’s finally been released (but only a few chapters)

Basic Summary

Six turtles were taken from Draxum and experimented on.

During that time Lou Jitsu dropped and left two of the baby turtles at the hands of the Baron who then trained them to be the most effective war weapons in the world.

After discovering the turtles survived the explosion, he sends the two on a journey to retrieve them. In which they must make the conscious decision about if they really want to.

The fanfic goes by either during the episode each chapter is named after or after the episode each chapter is named after.

Hihi! I was wondering if you could do a matchup for a male character for ROTTMNT if they are open and or possible👀i have never done this before so please forgive me if I left out anything important- if your requests are closed then feel free to ignore and or delete!

I am 5'5", trans!masculine (i also identify as nonbinary and a demiboy) and i use he/they pronouns (dysphoria sucks..) I am pansexual but sometimes i have a preference towards men. My personality type is INFP and I dislike any form of social interactions, avoiding them the best i can. I can sit down and work on something for hours at a time and forget to do things such as eating or brushing my teeth before i go to bed but i also have trouble sitting down and working on other things such as homework. I would say physical affection is definitely confusing with me, one minute i could be wanting affection and to be held or to hold someone but the next minute i don't want to be touched at all. I am have pretty bad sensory issues😶 My love languages are Physical Affection, Words of Affirmation, and Acts of Service. I love drawing and listening to music along with making music myself (via singing, playing piano, playing guitar, etc.) I act differently around certain people, if it's a close friend i will most likely show my true emotions. If it's just a friend i might mask my emotions slightly. If it's not a friend, i don't show any emotions that relate to how i actually feel. I have really dark humor and an example was how i was watching an anime episode and one of the characters was referring to a dead character and said "Look, it's a dead person." And i started crying of laughter. As for anything that can relate to ✨insecurities✨i hate how i look, my hair is fine but i have been told i have a very round and baby-looking face, which i hate. I also hate how small my hands are, i am constantly reminded that they are small and it makes me very insecure to the point where i often walk with my hands in my pockets. I wear glasses since i am V E R Y farsighted and since i am a nerd for my own favorite topics i am often told i look like the nerd emoji (this one:🤓). I am just very insecure but will most likely bottle up my emotions and not let anyone know until someone says something even slightly kind about how i look.

(Obs: I have yet to watch the rise movie (I want to finish the series first, anyways I like to torture myself) BUT! I’ve read enough about him and seen some clips which I think I can grasp a bit of his personality, also idk what truly happens at the end of the movie but I’m guessing the turtles defeated the kraang and Casey now lives with them lol - if not, that’s what happens on this scenario!!!! anyways !!! I hope this makes up for it and isn’t too ooc!!!)

Casey has a really hard time fitting in, since being raised on a apocalyptic scenario, understanding new social cues on a “regular” / normal time line is really difficult, he finds he can be himself around you quite easily, and he tries his best to show you can also count on him whenever you want

He will remind you to take breaks when you hyper focus on whichever task you have in hand, he might even join in sometimes or ask if he can watch you work! (He finds your concentration face really cute) but yeah breaks are a must, he doesn’t want to see you overwork yourself

Also talking about our face: doesn’t matter how much you trash talk about it, he doesn’t agree with it, and he won’t stand it, at first he might be a bit taken back to make comments about it, but during the kraang invasion, those little sweet moments of admiring someone’s facetasse absolutely out of the picture, you just didn’t had the privilege or time for these kind of things, Casey has learned that you features brang peace to him, he caught himself thinking about each and every curve of your face, so no, he doesn’t agree with it. but you bet he will snort/laugh when you tell him about the 🤓 emoji analogy, it’s his favorite emoji now, loves it dearly

If the guys (turtle) ever tease about your body being “tiny” compared to theirs, Casey will step up to defend you, he’s not really the one for confrontation regarding the turtles; but he def has a soft spot for you, if you are ever having a difficult day with dysphoria, Casey will def try his best to help you in any way he can, you have become incredibly important to him and even if he gets shy, he will show it, Casey has lost too much way too soon, if there’s something he treasures it, he will go far and beyond to keep it in his reach

This was very brief, but once again I don’t want to go too overboard so it doesn’t come as ooc 🥲 but I hope you liked it!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)

No adult who didn’t grow up watching the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series has any business watching the 1990 live-action film. While the animatronics and costumes bringing the reptilian heroes to life are impressive, the humor is juvenile, characters thin and the dialogue bad. These facts didn’t matter to the film’s intended audience. The beloved pizza-eating shadow warriors appearing on the big screen was enough and everyone knew it. The poster’s tagline of “Hey dudes this is NO cartoon” made it abundantly clear. It’ll continue to engage young viewers even today but children of the ‘80s who revisit it will be disappointed unless they're wearing thick rose-tinted glasses.

Mutated by radioactive ooze, raised in the sewers of New York by a rat who knows Kung Fu and obsessed with pizza, Michelangelo (Robbie Rist), Raphael (Josh Pais), Donatello (Corey Feldman) and Leonardo (Brian Tochi) are unlikely heroes. When the Foot Clan, a criminal organization of ninjas led by the mysterious “Shredder” (James Saito), begins recruiting the youth of NYC, the turtles team up with news reporter April O’Neal (Judith Hoag) and vigilante Cassie Jones (Elias Koteas) to take them down.

You’d never guess Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was made for a mere $13.5 million. Even when you consider the inflation, this is a good-looking movie. Our crazy-looking heroes interact with each other and with people, speak, eat, fight, ride skateboards, and so on. The lip-synch may be slightly off here and there but the illusion is convincing.

I can also praise the film for staying true to itself. The source material is a tough pill to swallow but the screenplay by Todd W. Langen and Bobby Herbeck doesn’t try to make the concept more digestible by making the turtles aliens or making their sensei/father into a man that was transformed into a rat-like creature. They’re 15-year-old shell warriors who love pizza and speak like surfer dudes. If you don’t buy that, the movie doesn’t want anything to do with you. It’s going to keep moving along those lines and doesn’t want to waste time dealing with semantics.

I suppose I can give a thumbs up to some of the film’s humorours sequences. They are genuinely funny about half the time and even when the gags are bad, they never go for fart jokes or other low-hanging fruit. Beyond this, I wish I had more nice things to say. This movie tries to do too much. It’s introducing the four protagonists, plus April, Cassie Jones, Shredder, Splinter, April’s boss and his troubled son, all on top of the characters’ origin and the actual plot. As a result, we hardly get to know the mutant heroes. They're virtually indistinguishable from each other except maybe Raphael, who has anger issues. Shredder is just as bad. We know nothing about him except that he’s evil and needs to be defeated.

Unless you already love the turtles and are overjoyed seeing them beat up an endless number of incompetent foot soldiers, the plot doesn’t offer much at all. It might be more “grown up” by daring to have a few of its characters curse (that surely rattled some cages back in the day) but the story has no depth. The dialogue is filled with groan-worthy one-liners, which to me makes the warriors believable as cartoon versions of teenagers. As a kid, I might’ve idolized these “grown up” turtles. Today, I find them mostly annoying. That goes double for the rap that introduces the end credits.

I choose to call Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles a good movie because it accomplishes its objectives. This is an unpretentious action comedy that wants nothing to do with the non-fans of the turtles. Everyone was into this franchise at the time and it continues to draw an audience. Kids will laugh at the turtles’ antics, be shocked when they get hurt, and cheer when the bad guys get what’s coming to them. It’s not for me and probably not for anyone reading this but I can see the appeal. (November 6, 2020)

2: Are you comfortable talking about your source?

Yeah! My source is probably the body's favorite show so I love talking about it!! :)

3: What's your favorite thing about your source?

Probably just how good the storyline was and all the characters! Ik I'm biased but collectively Leo is our favorite in the show. We also just love how many iterations there are and how unique each of them are! We're really excited to watch Rise next (and also slightly scared to)

6: Is there someone specific you're looking for or would like to interact with?

Honestly, just my dad or any of my uncles would be great! My system has no internal communication so I can't talk to anyone within my own system :( I've also never met my grandfather, so that would be cool too!! (Btw this includes other iterations, not just 2012 TMNT!! Leo and I both love interacting with sourcemates)

10: What do you have in common with your source?

Well that's kinda hard to answer since.. I don't exist in my source at all! So unfortunately I don't really have anything to compare myself to! Closest thing I could compare myself to is Leo as I split off of our system's fictive of him. In which that case the most common thing I have with (canon) Leo is probably our system's knife collection

13: Favorite memories?

This is gonna be a long one, so I'm putting it under the read more!

Well, while I don't have source memories, my favorite memories from fronting in the system is probably from the night I was created. I was confused and didn't know who I was. I was worried I was faking it and was feeling lots of self-doubt. Luckily, my dad's (Leo's) friends were staying the night at the same time I split so they were there to help assist me. They saw it happen and were giving us our space and comforting us through it

It was a very disorienting time. Dad had been disassociating a bit throughout the day due to high stress and anger (worse than any of us had ever seen in the past) and I guess eventually it just became too much for our system. Our friends noticed something was off and we weren't really able to speak much due to what was happening. We just gave a short response like ".....I think I'm disassociating..." and curled up in on ourselves. After awhile it finally ended and I was able to tell something felt... off... My- well- being felt different than dad's

As I was pretty much just born, I didn't know anything about myself at the time. My gender, name, what I looked like or even what species I was. To help ground me and give me a sense of identity our friends gave me a temporary name to go by and helped calm my anxieties. (Now I call them my moms as a half-joke!) They even confirmed that they could tell something about me seemed much different about how I acted and my personality than Leo, who was just previously fronting

Once I calmed down and the disassociation started to fade a bit, I started off with trying to just draw myself. Not even thinking about it, just letting my pen flow on it's own and see where it takes me. That resulted in this drawing right here!

This partially led to my theory that I was split off of Leo. I still felt like I was a turtle, I still felt connected to TMNT 2012. But, I didn't feel like him, despite feeling like I shared his consciousness and memories. Something was just wrong. Sometimes this could just be a case of a headmate disassociating, but the feeling never went away. I even tried to post on his blog as him, but it just didn't feel right. Sometimes I still hijack it, but never actually pretend to be him. I always make it clear that it's me posting. I always feel a need to make a distinction

As time has gone on I've slowly begun to learn more and more about myself and the differences between us. Sometimes it gets hard to tell which of us is fronting since we feel somewhat similar, but I'm beginning to tell what makes us unique. I think this connection between me and him is what made me see him as a father figure. His anger, his stress, it's what caused us to split. And when we did, I still ended up being similar to him and taking his memories. I don't know if he'll see me as his kid or not, but I see him as my dad. I may only technically be 4 days old, but there's so much I've learned about myself already and more I'm excited to learn!
