I know we like writing fics where Jason is all "I'm not the kid you lost" and "he died and I'm all the worst parts of him that came back" and whatever. but lately I've been thinking about a Jason that's angry bc everyone thinks he came back wrong, because to him, he's the same as he's always been. sure, he's more upset and angry and traumatized, but he's still Jason.
I've been thinking about a Jason that spent most of the time since his death underground and then catatonic. to him, hardly any time has passed at all. to his family, three years have gone by. and Jason knows he looks different than he did, and he knows he's sharper around the edges, now, but he's still Jason. he's the same kid that died and now he's back and why doesn't anyone see that?
they're the ones that changed, not him

DP x DC Prompt #15
Danny didn't realize not everyone sees ghosts. That when the portal had opened, it has released so much radiation everyone in the town had been affected. He just thought everyone could see ghosts.
In the aftermath of a battle with the League, one of his rogue's decided it was a perfect opportunity to show up and cause Danny problems.
He was confused why Superman restricted him mid-fight. Superman was ... asking him if he was okay? And why he was shooting at the air and talking to nobody?
Now, how did Danny explain to them that he was fighting ghosts they couldn't see without revealing his halfa status.

tbh I'd kill for Gerrard to make a comment to Buck about "associating with these people" and him just asking all innocent "do you mean my family or my boyfriend?"

Okay imagine time since I tormented I mean shared this with some Discord pals teehee.
For this I'm thinking wayy into the future and it's definitely taken on my religion of Pacifica and Fiddleford friendship/mentorship/adopted parent and child because God damnit they deserve the best and it's my blog I do what I want lmao. Okay picture this-
Paz is a bit older. Her and Fiddleford have their father daughter thing. Tate's like an older brother, she's got Dipper (who's she seeing) and Mabel, as her friends. And because she's around people like them, Ford and Stan are essentially like Gruncles to her too. Basically, she's got the whole family thing. One day, her Dipper and Mabel find some tape measuring time machine, and boom Pacifica is sent back to the 80s, where she meets Fidds. But here's the kicker.
It's Fidds pre memory gun.
So he's not completely lost it. Paz unable to really say anything about the future just introduces herself as Paz and vaguely explains how she's stranded in the past. She doesn't say much more on it and Fidds along with Ford agree to help her and it's during this that she sees how her father figure was like. And she sees how happy he was and he's always talking about Tate and he's not weighed down by the horrors of Bill. And it makes Pacifica come to this internal struggle on whether she should warn them about the future or if she should keep quiet about it. Like Paz knows it's risky but she loves these two men and Stan and Dipper and Mabel and Tate and everyone else. She wants them to be happy and not suffer. But also if she does this that means she would possibly lose everything.
She'd lose her dad and brother, she'd lose her boyfriend and her closest friends. She'd lose Ford and Stan which she's begun to see as her own uncles. She'd lose her family if she does this. But Paz can't find any real cons, because she sees herself extendable because of her upbringing. Not realizing that if these people were there they'd fight tooth and nail to stop her because to them she's not worth the risk of possible happiness in the past. And Fidds in all of this he's suspicious of Paz, because she does machinery in a way that only he personally does and he's catching on that this teen might be someone important to him and Ford in the future. Even briefly entertained that she's his and Emma May's second child before shutting it down because she doesn't look anything like them. But everything she does, everything she says, just screams Mcgucket.
Meanwhile, while Paz and Past Fidds are going through a crisis, the present family is desperately trying to get her back. Unaware that their current time they're living could end with just a few short words from Paz. The entire situation is a dire one, especially when a certain triangle is more than willing to do whatever it takes to make his plans happen. And Pacifica is more than willing to do something drastic to protect the family she's somehow gained through the years.

I know we talk a lot about how Knives doesn't seem to be as gentle or kind as his manga counterpart, how he's already a little dark and evil, which is how it seems to be. But this scene in particular makes me wonder if that's just what we're supposed to think. I already made a long post about the unreliable narration in Tristamp, and this scene always strikes me as proof that Knives is not exactly who we've seen him to be in the flashbacks. I think he's a lot more complex.
Because, now? Knives does think he's standing up to the bad guys, but he sure as hell doesn't care about making friends, much less keeping them. He only cares about owning people and hiding his fear and trauma under a strict layer of control.
And this kid? I don't think he's hit his breaking point yet. And I think we'll see more of that in upcoming seasons.

I don't think that now he would consider himself in the role of an angel how Rem means it here, and he's the one that suggests that term
If only Rem didn't let him read the ENTIRE BIBLE AT ONE YEARS OLD, NONE OF THESE PROBLEMS WOULD BE NEARLY AS BAD

I'm not the only one that thinks we might get to see Louis' family again soon, right?
Because yeah, the last time he saw Grace was at the cemetery and she was very clear that she was going to tell her kids and anyone else that he died too, but she didn't say she was going to stop talking about him altogether, and her kids were definitely old enough to remember, and he didn't hesitate to go into very specific detail about everything, some of which is extremely verifiable and stuff that Grace would've talked to family members about
It makes sense, right? Like most of the world believes that it's just fiction that was written as if it's fact, and they wouldn't look deeper into it because to them it's just a fun read or whatever
But like, imagine your sister texts you about this new book she'd been reading that she thinks you might like, so you decide to check it out, and at first nothing seems off but then you read about stuff that sounds vaguely familiar like you've heard it before, but you can't quite put your finger on why everything seems familiar, and then you get to the part about what happened to Paul, and the tap dancing at Grace's wedding, etc, stuff that you probably would've heard about before, and you go "hold on a goddamn minute, I remember grandma telling me this story about her mother" or directly from Grace herself depending on how old they are, idk I didn't research ages
like there's no way they wouldn't try to get into contact, right? I would for sure, I'd have so many questions

I'd love to see something where, in Six Hundred Strike, Odysseus grabs the hand of one of his crew, and then opens the wind bag, and they all monkey-chain out of the underworld (and the ocean) for some vengeance.

if the first bubblings of feelings between laudna and imogen started during the rock fight cuz it caused laudna to talk a bunch to yu and imogen to talk a bunch with orym leading to jealousy and questioning feelings on both sides that means it is, in some weird way, partially delilah’s fault. and if imogen, or laudna's relationship with her, is what has led to delilah coming out of the woodwork to jealously demand that laudna is hers and if it in any way helps lead to delilah’s eventual demise she will have helped set her own destruction, through the power of love, into motion. which is quite perfect.

yk what? I always see stuff about Zim giving up on trying to take over Earth and chilling with Dib. But what if it was the opposite? Dib decides "screw humanity!" And joins Zim in taking over Earth!
Stop domesticating Zim! Let Dib go feral!

DP x DC Prompt #78
Damian always knew that when he was born he wasn’t born in the traditional sense. He’s aware that he was put into a tube and formed there. It was more convenient for everyone that way, after all.
What he didn’t know is that he was one of three. That apparently he was a triplet.
Not until he met Danny and Ellie, that is.

I hope to see a fic one day, modern day AU or not, where both William and Anthony exist.
The former is the guy Cap thinks he wants, all perfect and just standing there all amazing, and the latter is the guy Cap deserves, an authority figure with a rugged scar on his face who protects him from the haters.

i feel like ace attorney could do a lot with a character who's not very expressive. yes, their style makes it so that everyone is expressive. but in that, i find the intrigue in a character who isn't.
the slightest frown conveying annoyance. eyes looking down or to the side to convey sadness. slightly widened eyes to convey surprise, but those miniscule movements are all there is, all the differences captured in small movements, blink and you'll miss.
