In Sonic 2 and Sonic 3, Sonic reached out a hand of friendship to a foe with them accepting it. So imagine how emotionally devastating it will be when Sonic does the same thing again in Sonic 4 only for Metal to slap Sonic hand away.

My Predictions For Sonic The Hedgehog 4

Spoilers for the Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Movie's Post Credits scene below this.

So as we know from the post credits scene, the next movie will be will have Amy Rose and Metal Sonic in it.

Due to their first game involving time travel and Metal Sonic appearing like the Terminator does I believe this movie will involve time travel.

Now who is sending Metal Sonic after Sonic?

My first guess is it could be G.U.N. as throughout the movies they have antagonized and lied to the Sonic and friends. On top of that they ordered the creation of the Eclipse Cannon, the whole thing with Project Shadow was sketchy, and even the G.U.N. Commander didn't trust G.U.N.

On top of that the Knuckles Show reveal G.U.N. has been collecting Sonic's and friends quills which they could indeed use to power Metal Sonic.

Second is Jim Carrey comes back for the fourth movie, or Metal Sonic was a failsafe plan he created to activate upon his death.

And due to the multiple Metal Sonics we could get a whole Emperor Metallix situation.

Finally an Agent Stone from the future wanting revenge, as we have seen from the Prequill Comic he is very capable. In addition I think an older Agent Stone with gray hair could dawn the mantle of Eggman as Eggman Nega.

Also, Metal Sonic could become Metal Overlord.

Regarding Amy’s strong involvement in Sonic 4, please please Paramount and Pat Casey don’t make her a stoic girlboss character I beg you and do not take her loving feminine qualities that made her a memorable character in the first place. It’s fine making her as this active fighting character but do not fall into the stereotypical girl bossy trope that 'needs no man'!

My idea for Sonic 4 (Spoilers for Sonic 3)

Starts immediately after the stinger with Amy explaining the Metal Sonics were sent by some villain on Mobius to kill Sonic to keep him from interfering in their plans. Villain is either existing character such as Mecha Sonic or Starline or (unlikely) a fully original character. Sonic Tails and Knuckles return to Mobius with Maddie in tow to help fight. Tom stays behind to continue to recuperate from his injuries. We get a LOT of cameos on Mobius of characters, most likely unvoiced. Likely Cameos: Team Chaotix, Cream and Vanilla, Big the Cat Less Likely: IDW Characters Even less likely: Archie characters Unlikely: Sonic the Comic characters The central story of the movie is Sonic Tails and Knuckles having to decide if they want to stay on Earth or return to Mobius full time. In the end a permanent portal is opened in Green Hill connecting the two so they can do both. Meanwhile on Earth Rouge arrives and finds Shadow and the two are confronted by one of the more advanced attack bots that ends up defecting and joining the pair as Omega. The trio arrives in Green Hill where they help Tom and the civilians fight off a wave of Metal Sonics sent by the villain to stake claim to Earth. The trio then arrives in time for the climatic final battle on Mobius. The final scene of the movie is in Green Hill with the portal permanently open as Mobians and humans interact, Cream, Charmy and other Mobian children playing with a group of human kids. First stinger has Agent Stone in an old lab looking over blueprints of Robotnik's various plans with it vague what he's planning. OR Agent Stone is in an old lab looking over scraps and remains of Metal Sonics planning to build a defender to protect the planet Robotnik gave his life to defend. Second stinger has Silver arrive in the present vowing to stop Sonic from destroying the future.
