This news might be disappointing for SEGA fans who care about the preservation of the companies’ rich history of video games ranging from arcade to consoles, including myself and fellow SEGAbits writers. As of now, SEGA plans to delist a selection of games and bundles from virtual stores across gaming platforms including Steam, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Playstation starting on December 6th at 11:59pm PST.
If you happen to own the games on the following platforms, they will still be available in your library. You can still get them all for very good prices, so be sure not to miss out on the opportunity. Do you all think that this is a bad decision from SEGA or do you think they might have something planned for the titles down the line? Let us know in the comments below and hit the next section of the article to see the list of games that are planned to be delisted.

In a published interview about why SEGA is reviving their classic IPs across media with Executive Vice President Head of Global Transmedia Group SEGA, Justin Scarpone, with Video Game Chronicle, he was asked how challenging it would be for SEGA to revive their IPs that are nearly 30 years old to resonate with a modern audience.
He responded that the IPs would need to be reinvented with persistent slate plan, marketing initiatives, product, and more transmedia. Scarpone would also confirm that numerous SEGA Legacy IPs are currently in development, including Virtua Fighter. Here is a snippet of the interview:
“So we have a suite of titles in development right now that fall into that legacy bucket, which we announced last year at The Game Awards; Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Streets of Rage, Shinobi, and we have another Virtua Fighter being developed. And so all that’s very exciting. And then in certain instances, we’re also doing animation series, or live-action films to augment that and be part of those roadmaps.” – Justin Scarpone, Executive Vice President Head of Global Transmedia Group SEGA
It’s been sometime since we seen a new Virtua Fighter title (with the exception of VF5: Ultimate Showdown). Are you all excited to see a new Virtua Fighter game in the works? Let us know in the comments below!

Happy 10th Year Anniversary Sonic Boom! Wow I can’t believe this show has been around for 10 years.
This show is what got me into the Sonic franchise and the reason I got into drawing and get to meet so many amazing artists, I really enjoyed watching Sonic Boom and it will always have a special place in my heart.

It’s Sonic Boom’s 10th Anniversary, the ever infamous and at first glance controversial Sonic spin-off TV show due to the many redesigns and different settings! But Sonic Boom happens to actually be a very good and solid show with actually amazing animation, great writing and jokes, iconic memes and lines and much more! Happy 10 years to Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles and Sticks in this spin-off alternate universe!

Upcoming Dead or Alive dating sim DOA Xtreme Venus Vacation PRISM doesn’t currently have plans for expanding its roster via DLC, according to the game’s director Yasunori Sakuda.
In an interview introducing the game, Yasunori explained that DOA Xtreme Venus Vacation PRISM’s story is strongly interwoven between its roster of six girls, and that adding a new character would mess with the flow too much.
DOA Xtreme Venus Vacation Prism will have you romantically pursuing one of its 6 girls, with stories involving the entire cast, so producer Yasunori Sakuda says it would feel weird suddenly jamming a seventh, paid girl in there
“The story of PRISM primarily revolves around the interactions among this set group of established characters. If we were to add new or previously popular characters later on, it might disrupt the original story structure and potentially shift the focus to the new characters, which is not in line with our creative intent for this project”, he explains. “Therefore, we currently do not plan to add characters through updates or DLC”.
That being said, he didn’t rule out the option entirely:
“If there is a strong demand from fans for these characters and internal agreement within the company, there may be a chance to see their return in future instalments”, he says.
DOA Xtreme Venus Vacation PRISM as a Romance Sim
Yasunori also touched on the “Romance simulation” aspect for DOA Xtreme Venus Vacation PRISM, saying to expect less in-your-face fanservice as you instead build relationships with the cast of girls.
“Unlike the more direct sexual encounters in Xtreme Venus Vacation, which had a bolder approach, this game will focus more on subtlety and provide a feeling closer to true romance simulation”, he says.
While he never outright confirmed or denied it, the more romance-focused approach of PRISM feels like it means less “Lucky pervert” situations like this one from Venus Vacation
“This time, the interactions with the girls will be from a closer perspective, allowing players to capture their facial expressions in detail, which has become a major feature of this installment”.
“Especially when players use the photography mode, they can enter the girls’ living environments at any time, creating an immersive, almost VR-like experience where players can capture moments from their favorite angles, experiencing that heart-pounding interaction. So, managing the balance in terms of tone is naturally not as challenging as it was in the previous game.”
