You and shadow were getting ready to go on a mission and hunt down the chaos emerald you’ve been tracking.

But it wasn’t until shadow then heard you coughing that he perked up and looked over.

“Are you alright ??” He asked firmly, you could tell he was worried even if he didn’t show it.

“Yeah, I’m fine…” you reassured him.

But as a couple days progressed, you went from good to bad.

You began to run a fever and sniffle all over the place.

What’s worse you worked yourself to exhaustion while sick, making you faint as your body couldn’t cope.

“Y/N !!” Shadow rushed over and held you as you fainted.

You woke up in your room as shadow stood by against the well.

“Shadow ??” You groaned.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were sick ??”

“I didn’t want to compromise the mission…” you coughed.

Even with the stature, he was full of worry. You began to notice food, water and medicine every time you woke up.

When the day of the mission came up, you tried to go with him, but he quickly stopped you.

“I have rouge as back up, you need to stay here for now and rest” he said firmly

“Shadow… thank you… for helping me” you said tiredly.

He stood over you for a little bit, to which he let out a “hmff” and a nod.

He would always help those who are in need, even you.

I had another dream about Shadow Generations, but this time instead of a Chao Garden, there were several hidden objects in White Space that Shadow could gift Maria.

She had unique dialogue for each one, and if the player managed to find them all, then a special cutscene would occur where Maria shows Shadow something in return - a tartan plush bunny she made herself. And now that I'm typing this, I wonder if she chose tartan fabric because of the prominent black and red.

Shadow studied it for a moment as realization dawned in his expression this is something she wants him to have. Then the implication strikes that Maria was sewing this plush for him in the past but died during the raid of the ark before she could complete it.

Then Shadow holds the plush bunny close and thanks her. Just like in canon he can't save Maria and Gerald, but he does receive the gift he was meant to have - a memento from her.

There was another cutscene later where Sonic teases Shadow about the plush held so protectively in his arms, only for the latter to solemnly reply, "This was a gift. From Maria."

"...Oh. OH. Oh geez, sorry."

In my heart, this is the secret ending to Shadow Generations.

Remember that we got Player's Voice category that always gets announced separately before The Game Awards, this year being on December 2nd (it was in that category that Sonic Frontiers was nominated in 2022).

Shadow's Doom Wings redesign.

Context: as soon as I've first laid eyes on his wings, the holes in it bothered me, yeah they're cool, but why do they have holes??? And then I watched an Ori And The Will Of The Wisps gameplay and thought that Shadow would look really cool if he was like Shriek and had huge wings, so big that the legs cannot touch the ground and he'd have to use his wings to walk. And then this design magically appeared on my mind.

There's more details about it but I'm too lazy to write them all, so yeah, if you're interested go watch my last video, I talk about it a little more in there.

Have been working on something that is taking a WHILE, still nowhere near done (🙂‍↕️), but have a WIP!

Shadow Generations inspired me to make more forms for my other ultimate lifeform, Shred the Dragon.

As Experiment B, aka Project: Beast. Shred was a backup incase Shadow didn't survive creation and vise versa. But she was made differently if alternative routes in creation could result in Maria's cure. Part of which was the multitude of animal dna traits in Shred's genetic code, adding Wisp dna to stabilize it, and of course like Shadow is mainly black arms.

Shred's wisp side is what gives her the bright magenta color of her skin. In Shadow Generations, she like him would gain new abilities focusing on her black arm trait. Shred usually forsakes her black arm heritage, not wanting to be compared with monsters. But over the course of this adventure she comes to terms with using her black arm powers for good, instead of their intended evil. In these new forms, her black arm side is enhanced. Overcoming her wisp side, her colors darken and fade to near black.

The black arm forms Shred gets focus on her individual traits. As the ultimate beast, who could track and hunt down anyone or anything. In her basic form she's a fast runner, skilled flyer, great swimmer, and is incredibly strong. But her new forms center on a single one of those, temporarily sacrificing her quantity of skills for quality. In any of them though she still has her fire breath. All forms make her larger then she usually is.

Shred's Black Arm Forms:

Black Berserker, muscular form.

Black Sprinter, quadruped running form.

Black Skimmer, no legged, all finned form.

and Black Wyvern, form focused for flying.

The Black Skimmer has all of Shred's aquatic capabilities. In this form she can outmatch her usual swimming prowess. Practically no current is strong enough to overcome her enhanced swimming muscles. If Shadow is unable to use his doom surf, Shred can more effectively substitute being ridden on her back. The chromatophores in her skin also allows her to blend into the water.
