Here’s the thing: they were never even dating. They were never together. Iwaizumi confessed, and Oikawa rejected him. 

It was the day of their high school graduation; they were going to different universities and wouldn’t be near each other all the time like they were while they were younger, and Oikawa—Oikawa was fucking scared. Scared of breaking up, scared of losing his best friend, scared of everything changing in a time when things were already changing so much. So Iwaizumi asked and Oikawa said no. 

They never dated. They never had any kind of relationship beyond best friends. Despite the tension between them, despite the pining, despite how they both knew it was mutual—they never dated. 

Which is why Oikawa has no fucking right to feel this heartbroken right now. He has no right to be hurting so badly when Iwaizumi introduces him to Sugawara, and they are holding hands. He has no right, and he knows that. He knows that he needs to take a breath and calm the fuck down because Iwaizumi isn’t his, never has been and never will be, and it’s his own fault. He knows he needs to get over himself and be happy for his best friend, because he has no fucking right to be upset that Iwaizumi is happy right now. 

But it’s so hard, and Oikawa is weak, and between him and Iwaizumi, Oikawa has never been the kind one.

The thing about Sugawara is that it’s impossible to hate him.

Oh, Oikawa wants to. He wants to hate Suga so badly. He wants him to be the worst boyfriend in the world and he wants Iwaizumi to break up with him and he wants Suga to be awful and none of that is true. None of that is happening. Suga is, by all respects and means, a lovely person and boyfriend and he’s good to Iwaizumi and good for Iwaizumi. 

As much as Oikawa wants to hate him, he can’t bring himself to. He’s bitter and he’s heartbroken and looking at him hurts sometimes, but he can’t hate Suga. He can’t hate that Iwaizumi is happy. He just hates that he himself isn’t the one making him happy. 

It’s his own problem, not Suga’s issue. It’s his own bad mood and regret and anger and frustration and his own stupid, stupid, awful heart that wants Iwaizumi so badly but is too late coming to the realization that his love is bigger than all the fear in the world. 

It’s his own problem, and he’s trying so hard to keep it from Iwaizumi because he knows—he can tell so easily—that Iwaizumi is happy with Suga. He doesn’t want to be the thing that ruins them. If they do break up, Oikawa will be there to pick up the pieces, but he doesn’t want to be the reason they fall apart. He wouldn’t do that to Iwaizumi. He wouldn’t. He likes to think that he’s better than that. He doesn’t know if it’s true. 

But despite his best efforts in keeping this to himself and containing his own heartbreak inside of his chest rather than on Iwaizumi’s shoulders, Suga figures him out. 

It doesn’t take long. They’ve only met a couple times before Suga is sitting down across from him at the kotatsu in Iwaizumi’s apartment, his arms folded on the table and his eyes on Oikawa, saying, “You’re in love with him.”

Oikawa is a good liar. It’s what made it so easy to tell Iwaizumi no. Tell him that they can’t go on a date. Tell him that he’s been making up the tension between them, the thing pulled taut between their hearts. Tell him that everything he thinks he’s noticed means nothing. He’s a good liar. It makes it easy to break people’s hearts. 

But something about Sugawara takes the string of honesty in his chest—the feeble, trembling thing it is—and pulls at it. Tugs it free. Makes him want to tell the truth. 

Oikawa hates it. Hates that Suga is taking hold of him and reeling him forward. Hates that Suga is holding tight to that honesty and dragging it free, kicking and screaming. Hates that he himself is letting it happen. Hates that Iwaizumi loves Suga so much, and hates that he can understand, so easily, why he does. 

So when Suga says, “You’re in love with him,” and raises his eyebrows and waits, Oikawa sets down his chopsticks and swallows a bite of rice and says, “Yes. Are you?” 

It’s a dare, it’s a push, it’s a give and take, it’s a game of words and Oikawa intends on winning. Oikawa is in love with Iwaizumi, because it is so impossible not to be. He asks, Are you? as if the answer could be anything other than yes. 

But still, he asks. It’s a challenge more than a question. Tell me the truth, I triple dog dare you. Truth or dare, Suga: look me in the eye when you break my heart. 

“Yes,” Suga says. “I am. Is that a problem?” 

Oikawa takes a shallow breath. “Of course not. He loves you back. I’m not—I’m not going to ruin that.” 

“I don’t think you’re ruining anything,” Suga tells him, and then Iwaizumi comes back into the room with three matching mugs of tea and they both go quiet. Oikawa doesn’t know how to explain it, but he thinks maybe he’s missing something. 

4. 

Oikawa spends a lot of time in Iwaizumi’s apartment. Maybe, back in high school, he shouldn’t have been so afraid of the distance. Maybe he shouldn’t have been so afraid that they would drift apart because they didn’t live next door to each other anymore. Maybe he should have just trusted in the love they had for each other. 

But thinking that now doesn’t change anything. Doesn’t change the fact that Iwaizumi asked and Oikawa said no. Doesn’t change the fact that Iwaizumi respected it, and moved on. Doesn’t change the fact that Oikawa never went anywhere and doesn’t plan on doing so. 

Suga also spends a lot of time in Iwaizumi’s apartment. The difference here is that, at the end of the day, Iwaizumi chose Suga. And look, Oikawa isn’t going to hold that against either of them. They all made their choices and Oikawa just has to deal with it, just has to be at peace with it. He’s not a complete asshole. At the end of the day, he just wants Iwaizumi to be happy—he can be mature and an adult and deal with some unrequited feelings. He can. 

But he starts spending more time with Suga and he’s starting to think he loves Suga, too, and maybe he can’t handle this at all. Maybe he can’t do this. Maybe he’s tired of lying about not loving Iwaizumi back, maybe he’s tired of lying about disapproving of Suga, maybe he’s tired of himself. Maybe he just wants to be done with these charades. 

The problem with this is that he’s so sure that the only way to move on is to cut both of them out of his life, and he has never been brave enough to do such a thing. When they were kids, Iwaizumi would rip Band-Aids off in one go. Oikawa, on the other hand, would soak the wound in warm water for ten minutes and then slowly, gently, ever so carefully, pull the Band-Aid off. 

The same principle applies to love: Iwaizumi confesses and Oikawa gets too scared to say yes. It applies to Suga, too: Iwaizumi loves him, and maybe there’s a chance he still loves Oikawa, and Oikawa is too much of a coward to say he loves them both, too. But he’s also too much of a coward to walk away. He’s just standing in the warm water, soaking his bruised heart, and not doing anything about the blood.

He will have to give up eventually. He can’t do this forever. He can’t spend his entire life like this: pining for his best friend, his first love; wishing his first love’s boyfriend would love him back. He can’t do this forever. He can’t. Oikawa has always been stubborn, always willing to do whatever he has to do in order to get what he wants. He’s of the thought that dedication and loyalty can win out over time. 

But maybe that’s true of things like volleyball, and untrue of things like love. 

Maybe it’s time to move on. Tear off the Band-Aid. Walk away. Maybe it’s time to give up. 

Or: he doesn’t cry, the day he tells Iwaizumi, “I can’t do this anymore.” 

And Iwaizumi, the beautiful, kind, caring soul he is, says, “What are you talking about?” 

They shouldn’t be having this conversation now, here, at the bus stop where Suga is standing only a few feet away, calling his own best friend, a best friend who probably isn’t in love with him and probably isn’t falling apart. They shouldn’t be having this conversation at all, but Oikawa’s heart is like a bursting balloon or a powder keg next to an open flame, and he loves them and he cannot have them and he has to give up before he breaks. 

“I can’t watch you two,” Oikawa whispers, voice cracking. “I can’t do this. I can’t be your third wheel anymore, I can’t do it.” 

“Oikawa,” Iwaizumi says, quiet, low, dangerous. “What are you talking about?” 

“I’m in love with you,” Oikawa murmurs. It’s not an act of bravery, like Iwaizumi’s first confession had been. No, this is an act of surrender. “I’m so in love with you and it is going to kill me if I don’t say it at least once.”

Or: he cries, the day Iwaizumi says, “You have no fucking right to break my heart like this, Oikawa.” 

Oikawa squeezes his eyes shut. “I’m sorry, Iwa, I—” 

“Don’t,” Iwaizumi snaps. “You told me that you didn’t—you were the one who—and now that I’m happy, you can’t fucking stand to see it? What the hell, Tooru?” 

Oikawa flinches. He can’t see Iwaizumi, he doesn’t want to see Iwaizumi, but he can imagine it: the crease at his forehead, the thin line of his mouth, the clenching of his fists until his knuckles are white and that vein on his left wrist tenses. He can’t say anything, there’s nothing he can say. Nothing that will fix this, nothing that will take it all back and let him try again. 

“What’s going on here?” Suga asks, stepping between them. His voice is calm, measured, like he already knows that something is breaking and he’s going to have to pick up the pieces. That used to be Oikawa’s job, but Oikawa supposes maybe it’s someone else’s turn nowadays. “Are you two—” 

“You can’t do this to me,” Iwaizumi whispers, but the anger has faded from his voice and turned to a kind of grief. “You can’t.” 

Oikawa opens his eyes. He looks between Iwaizumi and Suga. Suga, who looks so concerned for both of them, whose eyes are wide and his lips parted, an exhale hanging in the frigid winter air between them. Suga, who cares so much and who loves with his whole heart, and who is good to Iwaizumi in a way that Oikawa could never be. 

Oikawa swallows. Looks at Suga when he says it because he can’t stand to see Iwaizumi’s heart shatter any further, raw and breaking on his expression. “Both of you, really. If we’re putting everything out there. Both of you.”

Or: he cries, when Suga’s hand touches his arm ever so gently; and he cries, when Suga says, “It’s okay. It’s not—I already told you, Oikawa. You’re not ruining anything.” 

“You don’t understand—” 

“I do,” Suga says quietly, confessing to Oikawa’s closed eyes and Iwaizumi’s clenched fists, “because I know Hajime loves you—” 

“Koushi,” Iwaizumi says helplessly, hurting and aching and upset in a way Oikawa has never heard him before. So this is what his best friend looks like when his first love is breaking his heart for the thousandth time. “I don’t—I—I love you—” 

“You didn’t let me finish,” Suga says gently. He puts his hand to Iwaizumi’s hand, uncurling his fist and intertwining their fingers. “I know because I know you love both of us and I know I love both of you.” 

Oikawa opens his eyes. He can see Iwaizumi’s breath, a puff of air, hanging in the air between them. Snowflakes are starting to gather on Suga’s hair. For the first time, the cold is beginning to register at Oikawa’s fingertips and ears. 

“There’s a pretty simple solution here,” Suga says, something teasing in his voice. “Isn’t there?”

And isn’t it simple? Isn’t it the most simple thing in the world?

It is also impossibly hard. The snow is coming down harder, and the tears on Oikawa’s cheeks feel frozen and cold and he wants someone to wipe them away but his own hands are too cold to bend his fingers.

Iwaizumi takes his hand. He doesn’t look Oikawa in the eye. Instead, he takes off his own gloves and pulls them over onto Oikawa’s hands. It’s a tender, gentle, caretaking motion. He has not been forgiven for what he has done, but he is still loved. 

“I’m sorry,” Oikawa whispers. 

Iwaizumi swallows. Then he shakes his head and drops Oikawa’s hands, only to put his hands on either side of Oikawa’s face and lift his chin so they can look at each other. There is something unsure, unreadable there, between the falling snow and Iwaizumi’s wide-open eyes. Then Iwaizumi leans up and kisses his forehead in a gentle motion that Oikawa has never seen him do before. 

Oikawa takes a deep breath. There’s a hand on his shoulder, rubbing circles against his light jacket—Suga. 

“It’s cold,” Suga says softly. “Let’s go home and talk, okay?” 

“Yeah,” Oikawa tells him. He looks over at Suga, and gives him a small smile. That string of honesty that Suga pulls out of him is taut and tense, ready to spill open all of his secrets. Maybe that won’t be such a bad thing. “Okay. That sounds good.”

Mattheo Riddle

In the first year, no one believed that he was related to Voldemort. mainly because no one thought he'd have a child

He also fluently speaks Spanish since he was raised by his mother (ngl I believe that Mattheo is either Guatemalan, Mexican, Colombian, or Puerto Rican) cause his father didn't want anything to do with him until he got older

Had a side part phase for most of his first through fourth year because his mom liked it until his fifth year where he learned how to take care of his natural hair and he takes VERY big pride in it, he literally spends all his money and time on it and REFUSES to let anyone touch it.

He got the scar on his eyebrow from trying to give himself a slit eyebrow in his third year because he'd thought he'd look cool but ended up with a scar and his mom yelling at him but tells everyone he got it from a fight

He got the scar on his nose in his sixth year from banging his nose on a sink but tells everyone that he got from a fight with a guy from racenclaw (Theo's the only one that knows the truth)

yourinstagram a few days ago i had the pleasure to sit in front of ＠thesecretfangirl for the most comfortable and easy interview thats ever been done (not that ive been interviewed more than three times, but you get what i mean) (i hope). it was nerve-wracking to take this step and talk about some of those things, but im glad i did so. as someone who loves to tell stories, it hasnt been easy to see other people trying to tell mine so carelessly and disrespectfully. for days, ive been torn between saying something or shutting my mouth. ive been also sad. confused. angry. ive argued. ive cried. ive rolled my eyes. ive asked for advice. ive taken some time to myself to think. and even after all that, i still dont know what the best thing to do would be, but what i know is that i have never — EVER — told a story without consent. ive never talked about a person without making sure i wouldnt twist the facts, or that i wouldnt hurt their feelings by adding my own perspective as a storyteller. and yet the things that have been told about me werent told with my consent. truths and lies were intentionally intertwined without worry about what the consequences could be. and trust was broken in order to make temporary profit over something that was nothing but cheap gossip. so, in the end, i decided i wouldnt correct the narrative, because i dont want THAT to be my story. i want my story to be the one i decide to share about myself. which is why i said yes and sat down for a chat with such a lovely, fun and respectful girl. the episode is available on spotify. i hope you enjoy it (and that i didnt embarrass myself) <3

Dark's mind reading is just, so damn fun.

Like Green is gambling SO MUCH putting his trust into Dark but it pays off because Dark can TELL Green is truly putting faith in him to give him the benefit of the doubt.

And that means A LOT to him.

The fact Green doesn't want to hurt him MEANS A LOT TO HIM.

Dark knows this man ain't stupid.

I like him giving Green a goodbye hug and a kiss on the cheek hah.

It's so sweet in a way.

Green is so fed up with him after being kicked in the damn stomach. XDDD

Sooooo, we didn't learn a LOT from Link's appearance outside of the fact he's still lingering around within the headspace. Which is ODD because Dark hasn't brought him up or seemingly hasn't run into him...Despite Link STALKING him it seems.

Link's adoption of the black tunic is odd to say the least. His mental state is still fractured and torn considering it's appearance.

And it dawns on me I don't think Green goes on to NEVER disclosed to anyone Link's still running around. X'DDDD (Re-reading FSR together like this is fun isn't it?)

A LOT of shit happens to where he didn't really have time to squeeze it in but it is funny this scene is still pretty up in the air on it's importance for now.

Also since this is rambles I don't have to keep secrets on who the weirdo next to Link is in the last panel.

LOL also not Zelda calling Green by the wrong name. X'D Poor girl isn't used to being around the four dudes her bestie splits into. (She literally had NO idea they were split until AFTER the final battle lmfao and then they walked back to the sanctuary and boom.)

So yeah Shadow tries to wrestle Dark back because dude's a dangerous little ball of evil. XD

He SAW what he did to Vio first hand and didn't wanna have that happen to Green.

I'll never not find it funny Dark can summon his sword in that form, but literally can't even use it. X'DDDD

He also yanked Green's arm away from the sword so he didn't get hit because Dark's very attached to Green at this point.

Shadow's got beef with the little guy and Zelda making a force field, and Shadow proceeding to SMACK into it always gets a laugh it's so dumb.

Art wise it's kinda funny just how LONG Dark's tentacles are in this scene considering I shortened them later. XD

Also...Considering recent updates Dark responding violently when in danger is...Well something. XDDD

Shadow even points this out but Shadow's also projecting HARD onto Dark X'DDD

Green has a lot of hesitance too, he just chooses to stuff that down in turn for a more peaceful option.

he's aware dark has caused hurt and is INSANE but wants to give him a chance.

I think in a lot of ways he regrets that Shadow never had help because they just met "Too late" in a lot of ways.

Shadow had already committed many horrible deeds before anyone had a glimpse of being able to help him.

While Dark is still very new and able to be saved from a life of regret or villainy, cause Green recognized that spark of good in him that could blossom into a good person if they give it a try.

meanwhile, Shadow's being self loathing.

...To be fair a lot of what Dark Link says DOESN'T make sense due to it being...from an outsider's perspective utter nonsense (He knows Zelda lore lmfao.) but his claims Shadow just IS ganon are clearly getting to shadow cause he's got self doubt.

Meanwhile Green tries to remind him of his progress, and thinks Shadow and Dark could have something to bond over.

Aaaand there is it boy doesn't wanna be reminded of how much he's fucked up. It's hard when there's a mirror pointed at you.

Green's still feeling bad about what he said.

And since people missed it, and I was being cheeky:

Green and Shadow did share a lil smooch.

Dark isn't happy about it. XD

So he ends up in Green's hat. XD

Green asking a reasonable question about how he's gonna go get Blue...considering his physical form is WITH Green and Shadow.

And Dark responds verbally. So far I think he's only growled in that form. XD

So uhhh, Shadow's pissed off Dark refused to speak last night. XDDD

So if you're curious: My vision for Dark in this form is that speaking is VERY difficult for him to do so he just...doesn't.

This is his dormant form, so his "Functionality" is mostly...nonexistant.

This is a form that doesn't take a lot of effort to maintain or upkeep so his actual abilities aren't very wide.

Like he CAN talk. But simple phrases and words are easiest for him to do. Which is why he repeats "Yeah yeah" twice.

Shadow also fails to realize even THIS form was a step up from the fact Dark was a simple sphere with an eye before. XD

He grew a mouth to chew on Green...So he might have had the intention to speak last night and just...didn't.

But if he wanted to speak, he could just form back to his "Link" form or drag someone to the headspace.

Overall: Shadow ya dummy he probably just didn't have anything to say XD

Green coming to Dark's defense screaming "STOP IT SHADOW YOU'RE SCARING HIM!" is so funny because I without fail imagine the "HE'S AFRAID OF SANTA CLAUS!!!" "STOP IT PATRICK YOU'RE SCARING HIM!!!" spongebob bit.

Dark so obviously doesn't understand blood family ties (...His entire life revolves around 4 dudes who are one guy, and that guy's shadow all being in a weird as fuck relationship so uh...who blames him for not understanding family)

Affectively, Green is just someone Dark considers his family so...he's his "dad". XD

The title switch from Shadow TO Green is due to the fact he just feels more comfortable and safe WITH Green.

...Shadow uses THIS as an example of Dark being "Unreasonable" which is something else alright. XDDD

Green taking the piss out of the whole "dad" thing is pretty damn silly...Green you ARE the daddy now. X'D

I don't think Green would have tried this shit if Dark was in his Link form. XDDD

I know in the draft comic folders I got a comic where Green treats Dark differently based on his form and how Dark doesn't understand that. (him being uncomfortable with the finger chewing in his Link disguise vs his dormant form for example) and how he thinks Green's a hypocrite.

Last panel: Shadow DEFINENTLY not trying to keep everyone thinking Dark's just insane and not saying anything important.

I’ve been replaying the demo, and every single time I just. I love Ravi. He’s so annoying and suspicious. Caring but distant. He invites you to stay at his house then immediately makes you feel like an unwanted guest–before you even get to his house. He’s a bag of contradictions and oddities. I just want to shake him. Wtf is wrong with drinking plain water, you absolute prune?? We’re roommates who are putting each other under a microscope like lab specimens. We’re annoying each other for fun. Why do you act like that? You’re so off-putting, you’re so endearing. We’re not besties, we’re not worsties, we’re some unnatural and disturbing hybrid. I almost want to stay with him on purpose to annoy him more.

That said, I will absolutely ditch him if you give me the option to stay with Beck or Perri in chapter 3. Call Beck up since they gave me their number like “Hey, turns out I’ll be sticking around for a while, but I had a disagreement with my current host. I sure could use a hero again, if you don’t mind. Plus, we get to hang out more :)” Or look up/ask for Perri’s number and call them up. “So, I’m actually going to be in town for a bit, but I no longer feel comfortable staying with my current host. If it’s not too much trouble, could I stay with you? Plus, it would give us the opportunity to talk more about that interview, since I’m stuck here Willingly Choosing To Stick Around :)” (Goodness, I think about these two too much. thick german accent, wildest hair you’ve ever seen. showed up to class in adidas sports wear and band t-shirts to teach us french critical theorists of film. made bad puns while hopping up and down brandishing chalk. was a dj on the side and his cat gave birth during the semester so he showed up with pictures of kittens. interrupted a right wing rally on his bike and made jokes about them being both fascist and idiotic before coming to class and telling us about it. used to be a journalist and interviewed hip hop artists and film directors in the 90s.

great guy, got me genuinely excited for experimental silent films.

-est's are sooooo hard for me, and i'm so indecisive, and there's so many art styles...so i picked these four lmao. i have so many pretty covers okay, i tried.

this picture does not do it justice, but the red hood issue is foiled and i just love it. foil is fun in general, but i feel like it makes the blood more...bloody? wow i'm so eloquent. IT'S COOL IMO OKAY. not that this is shocking to anyone, but i am v obsessed with pink...the batman cover is pink. but also!! bruce is smiling. and the motion of the cape feels so lush. it just makes me happy. um. so. the tim cover. listen. the color palette is pretty, i love the early dawn + his bright colors. also. he's pretty. NEXT. i adore this nightwing cover. it's so soft, like it kinda looks like it was done with, crap idk my art mediums, oil pastels? the texture is so smooth. plus, i love like the scene and all the details, like it's just so satisfying.

i'm realizing i may have defined 'prettiest' strangely. oh well.

ROBIN!DICK AN ROBIN!TIM ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! with jason-haunting-the-narrative angst?! to die for. then we have tim being robin to dick's batman, so fun, with a healthy serving of bruce and dick angst and they actually communicate a bit. so frickin good. i've talked before about how much i love love love #46, and that has not changed- i revisted it recently and *oh my godddddd*. tim struggling with robin vs. tim drake, and then utterly failing despite his best efforts when he was already questioning if he even makes a difference? fuck yes. sorry. and then!! super-depressed!timbo talking a would-be jumper into not jumping and then calling dick? words cannot express the sheer !!!!!!!!!!!!!! i feel about these issues. this is me trying to be normal about them, that's how bad it is. as with the previous answer to 12, i have pages of these comics eternally memorized.

Red Hood: The Hill

allow me to explain my comic buying method. first of all, i try to buy only comics i've read + liked, unless i like the cover or it's a current release. so this is a little bit recency bias, but also current stuff is pretty much the only thing i'll be buying blind for the story itself.

i picked up this mini bc it was marketed as a jason run. HA. you could completely cut him from the story and like. so little would change. his only relevance was marketing. the story itself was also like, super boring to me, but in the spirit of fairness + acknowledging bias, i was enticed by a jason story and not given one. so. if i'd come to the run expecting an oc + batman i might've had a very different experience.

if this had been out on dcui, i would not have picked this run up. maybe the dan mora covers if i saw them when digging through boxes. but purely for the covers.

have not read the issue yet, bc i have not kicked off my Big Batman Read Through, but i am fairly certain it will upset me when i get to it lmao. i have a soft spot for sketch covers, i think they're so neat. plus this one is so evocative. technically, the nightwing cover may not count bc i'm sort of collecting all of nightwing, but at the time i bought it purely for the cover. the graffiti is fun, dick + tim + milkshakes = cute!! i enjoyed task force z, but not enough to buy the run, however when i saw this cover i had to get it. idk how to express it but the composition tickles my brain in the best way. ugh so cool. MARCUS TO TIM?!?!?! HELLO?! WHAT MORE NEED I SAY?!

it has literally just occured to me that i could have also done TT's nightwing run but...eh. much prouder of this!! this is the first run/title that i decided to collect completely and it was so much fun hunting the issues down. man, i felt so accomplished when i brought #25 home. and i got it for a steal too, so like bonus happy points 💅🏼

brief story time, so i picked this up fairly early on into my comics collecting when i was really trying to be very, very selective. i think i maybe was looking specifically for #17, where bruce is back and tim gets a hug, and the vendor had that one + a bunch of others and i was geeking out a little bit showing diff panels to my spouse and they were like, "so we're getting them all, cool." "no, it's fine-" "dude. your whole face is so lit up right now." i lost (won?) that argument. it is still so mind-blowing to me how supportive they are of the things that bring me joy. completely antithetical to my upbringing. anyways!! so yeah, this is also the run that spurred me to collect the way i do today. i tried to be more restrained. i was ✨enabled✨

i've never been an earrings person, mostly because i hate feeling weight on my ears, and if they're dangly i hate feeling them move when i do (idk if it's an autistic thing or what), so it's been years since the last time i wore them, but ngl your new donnie fic is making me feel things. i've been feeling very tempted to change my looks a bit (mostly because of gender reasons, but also bc i'm tired of looking extremely generic lol) and i think i'm gonna buy some small stud black ones (1/2)

yeah, sounds like studs would fit that! you can try getting the kind that you just keep in all the time so you almost forget they're there, or you can take them out at night so that way they never have to touch anything like a pillow or something if the feeling bothers you.

of course, equally possible is, like you say, that piercings just aren't for you! and that's totally cool too. i get a lot of gender euphoria from simple things that are easy to change, and i kind of view it as a... a bit of a game, i guess. figuring out the things that make me happier in my body, seeing which ones are super easy, and the like. it might be as simple as changing how you part your hair, or painting your nails a certain color, or letting your leg/armpit hair grow out (or start shaving it). gender expression (and aesthetic expression, like that with jewelry!) should always be fun in my opinion, so don't stress too much about it if you find out that this (or anything else you try) doesn't work for you c:
