#I fancast them as original characters all the time

On a related note, is it just me or does Our Generation of younger actors (like people who have gotten famous between the 2010s and now) not really have anyone who does big broad comedic performances anymore, I feel like there's a real emphasis on downplayed sarcasm nowadays so anarchic comedies with wild protagonists don't really happen anymore (which is mostly just interesting that we likely will not be producing anything with Fawlty Towers energy any time soon but in the context of "I would like to remake a wild comedy that was itself a love letter to silent melodrama or else make a similar original project myself" it very much gets to OK and who would I think about casting as the incredibly hammy Most Evil Man On Earth villain with a heart of gold he desperately is trying to conceal because I can't think of anyone who has anything like that kind of energy)
#honestly my fancasts of preexisting roles stop in the mid-90s because of exactly this#like I feel sorry for casting directors who have to get the new DCEU figured out#good luck casting a Joker who is actually funny when 90s Tim Curry and Robin Williams and Christopher Lloyd aren't options#to be clear this is no hate on current actors#I fancast them as original characters all the time#but for pre-existing ones from an era where there are no modern equivalents it gets real dire real fast

i've been keeping an eye on this whole mischief productions and p4perback drama that's being going on recently and if anything watching this all play out and the response to it is really proving to me that some of y'all just shouldn't be in this fandom
please hear me out
One of the biggest differences in the marauders fandom to most is that we don't have anyone irl to stan. We don't like the author of the original series, most of the actors that portray these characters in the films were miscasted and the fancasts, although most knowing that they are fancasts, still havnt played these characters and therefore can't give us anything new.
Because of this I feel like a lot of people have been turning to others in the fandom to fill this gap like cosplayers to fill in for actors or fanfic authors to fill in for writers and although that may seem harmless clearly these last few days have proven that it's not.
A lot of these people have leaned into this and started actually coming up with their own fanfilms and series to further this idea that they are now our actors for us to stan, and by calling their followers their fans, and allowing people to make edits of them, use their pictures as fancasts and pinterest boards and even are posting multiple videos of themselves on tiktok as if they're doing press junkiest.
Now a hierarchy has been made and people start to think that they're better then others to the point where they can sell scripts to people even though it's illegal and ask for donations to make said fanfilms (which is soooo icky to me. you do not expect fanartists, editors or fic writers to ask others to pay for their equipment so why is it okay for them???)
This whole ai business was really a long time coming for this fandom and i fear that nobody is going to learn a lesson from this. We cannot keep putting people on pedestals just because they're giving us good fandom content. Some people are smart enough to tell y'all to stop (even tho you hardly listen) but most nowadays are just leaning into it for 15 seconds of fame. That's how we've gotten to the point where people are making marauders content just to gain a viewership and elevate their platform. Or joining a fanfilm to kickstart their career
And this issue of not having content/stans is something i see everywhere. I believe it's why so many people have this hive mindset where everyone has to be in agreement with ships and headcanons or when people keep asking when the next big fic is going to come out that everyone can obsess over when this isn't what being in a fandom is supposed to be about.
If you are missing this sort of structure in a fandom then please go to any other one because in no place should we be giving people this amount of power to screw everyone over like this and still get away with it just because so many people are blindly defending them (and just so we're clear, i'm talking about everyone in the mischief productions and any other fanfilm/series)

The Gallery Wall pt 2: electric boogaloo The Yap Post
DISCLAIMER: I read this book once and almost a year ago. I tried my very best to refresh my memory through various ways, but really I should just read it again.
I tried to keep everything as book accurate as possible, but if I skipped over stuff then that's probably why. I plan to make more fanart in the future, so I'll keep any corrections in mind for the future.
That being said, I want to get into some of the inspiration and thoughts behind my designs for the Greek class.
A general critique I have for people's designs for all the characters is that they exist in a sort of time period-less void. We know the story is set in the 80's, yet that style is not explored very much. I don't know if this is because people easily associate the 80's with neon colors and other garish aesthetics that feel like a total opposite of the ambiance of this novel. However that's not an accurate portrayal of what a lot of 'normal' people were wearing during that time.
Despite the Greek class being maybe slightly old fashioned in an old money sort of way I don't believe they would totally disregard the trends of the time.
Camilla
Camilla quite suits the 80's. The trend of pastel clothing is in line with Donna's description of the twins wearing mostly white or other light colors.
I'm not necessarily opposed to the Camilla with a bob agenda, but there were more than enough icons in the 80's that were rocking a pixie cut adjacent hairstyles for me to go even shorter. I ended up going with Molly Ringwald for my main source of inspiration hairstyle wise. The curls add to the angelic description.

Longer hair than a bob is out of the question. I find it a kind of weird design choice. Sometimes it comes off to me as if people can only view Camilla as either a tomboy or very femme. I'm a firm believer that short hair is neutral and doesn't necessarily lean toward masculine looking. It's all about styling and Camilla certainly seems to like feminine things.
I imagine her to be slightly boyish looking, because she resembles her brother. I sketched them at the same time to ensure they would resemble each other, not having one particular refence in mind. Ironically I think my earlier versions resemble each other more than my final versions. Charles' design felt lackluster however so I redid it.
Charles
Originally I wanted to give Francis Wham era George Michael hair, but then I read his description again. However Charles is a sort of popular attractive man for the time period, so why would he not have big hair. Thus the transfer was made. This did have as a consequence that in some stages of the process he very heavily resembled princess Diana. I thought that was quite funny.
For Charles I did the opposite of what I did with Camilla. For Camilla I made sure she was pretty in a bit of a boyish way, so for Charles I made sure he didn't turn out too masculine. We don't want Chad Charles.

Francis
Here I'm starting to doubt myself a little bit. A lot of people draw Francis with slightly longer hair, but compared to Camilla he doesn't get any people complaining. I might have missed a passage somewhere, but I also like the idea that my interpretation is just different from others.
When I decided for myself I was going to give him very short hair I knew I had to draw some inspiration from Annie Lennox. She's obviously very fashionable, as is Francis, and known for wearing suits. I had to tweak the design to be more classical and to include a necktie. He feels very maximalist, so on top of his described pince-nez glasses I drew him with an earring and a bunch of brooches.
As for the make-up I know he'd get hate crimed on campus, but it's a fun thing to imagine. Although I left it out of the final design for that reason.

I don't mind Evgeniy Shvarts as a fancast. I think he has similar facial features to what I had imagined.
Henry
Henry is often designed too skinny and/or too conventionally attractive. It's a difficult balance to keep him looking severe and off putting enough, but also broad enough and almost handsome. One thing is for certain that man doesn't give a flying fuck about what currently in style. I haven't been able to figure out if those 'English suits' have a particular cut in that time, but I can't imagine him walking around in an 80's oversized suit with big shoulder pads. However not a tight 70's suit either, so take that as you will.

I'm not too mad at Zane Holtz as a fancast. He's certainly broad enough, but I find him to be too conventionally attractive. However it's a lot better than some others I've seen. I also don't believe him to wear his hair like that. Not a lot of people notice his scar, so that leads me to believe it's at least partially covered by his hair.
I ended up giving him browline glasses, because I thought if I ever did end up drawing Bunny them having different glasses would set them apart more design wise. However after I finished the drawing I saw that passage that says he has the same wire frame glasses that bunny has. I like that the browline glasses make him look even more stern, but if we were to go for accuracy I'd have to change it.
Richard
Richard was the hardest for me to design and honestly I still don't know what I imagine his facial features to be. All I knew was that I wanted him to have a fuck ass haircut. He seems like the sort of dude that hasn't changed his hair in years. The only thing that's changed is that his mom used to cut it and now he does it himself. That's how I landed on a late 70's, Beatle-esque mop that's in a constant state of being slightly too long. He's somehow handsome enough to pull it off though, much to his own confusion I imagine.
He's wearing a sweatshirt that is noticeably less formal than the others. Paired with that tweed jacket he borrowed from Judy Poovey.
General
I'm going to be honest I didn't have a particular idea behind the strip of light besides that the drawing would be too boring without some interesting lighting.
Rapid fire composition choices:
Henry's portrait is greyscale and his frame features a rose to give the whole thing an in memoriam feel
His portrait is bigger and in the top corner to make it feel like he is looming over the rest
Francis' portrait looks more like a painting than a portrait photo to compliment his classic style
The obvious stain where another portrait used to be. His presence can't be completely erased by that and the little frame featuring bunnies still being on the wall
Richard's photo is sun bleached and slightly damaged. Like he either took it with him from home and they never bothered to replace it or the rest of the group just didn't care enough to be gentle with it.
That's also the reason why his is the smallest portrait and is placed in the corner.
The ferns in the bottom corner
Butterfly for transformation corny
If you're still here sorry for yapping so much and THANK YOU for reading. Thank you in general for y'alls nice comments and reblogs. I read all your yapping, I love it. Please let me know your thoughts!

Hey I’m kinda new to the fandom and at first I thought these guys were actually casted as the 🐍 boys but I looked it up and they’re just in random shows. Was this like a fancast or something? How come everyone agreed to use the same actors when writing about the guys? I need to know the lore😭
Hi hi hi theeeee biggest apology for taking forever to respond. pls accept my love 💛🌟 SO, I haven't actually read any of the original fanfictions that Lorenzo (Enzo) Berkshire, Mattheo Riddle and Theodore Nott are from. Though I know Theo is canon, there is a fanfiction that gave him more of a personality and I believe where he got his fancast face from. If im correct all the original fanfiction for these characters started on wattpad. Please I apologise if I get any of this info incorrect its just what I've picked up myself or learnt from friends.

Mattheo Riddle I believe he was created from the fanfiction Possessive by yasmineamaro. It's a draco Malfoy fic but he's a character that gets introduced in it. I only know this based off what friends have told me. I know his face claim is Benjamin Wadsworth and the most pics are taken from when he was in Deadly Class. Which I recommend watching if you haven't, it's a good show and he's gorgeous in it. Mattheo seems to be switched between Tom Riddles son/brother depending on who writes the fic, but is originally Tom and Bellatrix's son.
His original personality is also described as cold, possessive, jealous, or at least that's how I was introduced to the character and like to try mostly keep him. Of course, with fanfiction you can bend characters in a way that fits the plot or scenario of your fic and character (reader). The original fic looks to have been taken down, but this link explains what the book is about and Mattheo's character.
Lorenzo Berkshire Enzo I believe came from the fanfiction Filthy created by babynaomi. Another original Draco Malfoy fanfiction haha and him as more of a side character. His face claim is Louis Partridge original picked from Enola Holmes. Also he is adorable in that, especially the second film. Enzo in this fic is a fucking prick. He's a perverted, slimy git who manipulates and uses women. Again Louis is so adorable its easy to think of Enzo as super sweet, I try to find a blend between the two personalities. But always trying to remember that Enzo is a Slytherin for a reason. Pretty sure his mother is also bellatrix, so he’s suppose to be Mattheos half-brother and Draco’s cousin. Don’t quote me on that 🫢
Theodore Nott Theo is originally mentioned in the Harry Potter series and in the Cursed child. From what I know, he was a part of Draco Malfoy's gang, and his father was a death eater who was caught in the Order of the Pheonix with Lucius. Also that he invented the time turner in the Cursed child and sent to Azkaban by Harry as an adult. But his fanfiction which gives him more of a personality that I base my writing on at least, and the one I discovered he was in, is Secret and Masks by Emerald_Slytherin. His face claim is Lorenzo Zurzolo from the Italian show Baby. Also, another good show, and I fucking love his hair in that.
I'm not sure how everyone just came to agree but I bloody love that we all did. When I first got into them those were just the three guys already picked as face claims and I love them all and the personalities that have been picked. I hope this helped, I assume you already discovered this out since I took so long, but I appreciate you reaching out 💛 I need to read these og fics tbh
#જ⁀➴pizza delivery#anon ♡#I hope this helped#and I hope I’m mostly factually correct 🫢🙃#slytherin boys#theodore nott#enzo berkshire#Mattheo riddle#Slytherin boys lore

Seeing people fancast Heathcliff as a white man infuriates me actually like did you read the book you said you're such a big fan of? Did you notice all the times where it's stated that he possesses really dark skin and how the many characters associate his skin color with his violent/animalistic nature, do you know that this is racism?
I was stressed because I saw someone say that adaptations that rely a lot on his race deviates from the original source because, according to them, the book >exclusively< uses his skin color to highlight his violent/animalistic nature as in imagery and that this is a evidence of Emily Bronte's whiteness and actually, I disagree wholeheartedly and I think the many times where these associations happens it just shows Nelly's bias against Heathcliff (a bias she always had even before he was able to say a word when he arrived at the wuthering heights) and the abuse he's subjected to it's also correlated to his race.
Anyways, I'm reading the book (40 pages to go) so it's all very fresh on my mind and I believe that the book contains commentary about race and social class dynamics.
#wuthering heights#van updates#text#that's only what i think#i'm open to other interpretations (about if the book does a race commentary or if only uses his race to associate it with his violent natur#of course because the fact that he's dark skinned it's not a interpretation question)#anyways i'm really obsessed with this book and emily bronte is a maternal figure to me#even though she died in a age she would not be able to have a 24 years old daughter#i want to research it for school#but i will research another book next semester#so i hope i will have the opportunity#books#literature#heathcliff

WARNING: CONTROVERSIAL OPINION
I absolutely do not understand people loving Tom Riddle and essentially separating him from Voldermort.
He IS Voldemort guys. You know the crazy, narcissistic, power hungry blood supremacist who killed over hundreds of people directly and indirectly. His entire goal was to kill a teenage boy, and I don't get how you can just make them different people because you think the actor is hot. Liking the actor is perfectly fine but you can separate a character from his younger self just because you think he's good looking. The reason Voldemort is the way he is, is because of his development through his life. His life known as Tom Riddle. Voldemort = Tom Riddle. Just because he changed around the letters doesn't mean he's a different person. AND another thing, which I know is a very controversial thing, I think Mattheo is such a stupid character and making him Tom's brother makes no sense BECAUSE THEN YOU SAY THE ARE VOLDERMORTS SONS. He can either be Voldemort's brother or his son but there is no way for Tom to be Voldemort's son THEY ARE THE SAME PEOPLE. And there is no way his name would be Mattheo, which even Benjamin Wadsworth said after watching the movies. A racist white man named TOM MARVOLO RIDDLE would not name his child Mattheo. And if he was Voldemort's son which he didn't know about there is no way he would be walking around with the Riddle last name because there is no way Hogwarts would let THE DARK LORDS SON attend their school or any wizarding schools for that matter. Another thing, Slytherin Boys content creators are getting out of control. Why is there stories in which Regulus Black is strolling around the halls of Hogwarts as a teenager IN THE GOLDEN ERA. He was born in the 1960's people. HE DIED in 1979 the rest of the boys had not yet be born or were one years old. You cannot just add him into a story set in the Golden era time. And I do not care if you are a Harry Potter fan only because you watched the movies or only cause you read the books you don't have to have indulged in both to be a fan but I think it indulging in one or the other is a basic criteria. There are so many people who write about the Slytherin Boys who have never watched or read it. NOT ALL of them but a large majority of people who just came across them on tiktok and thought they were hot and make new fancasts and whole new stories for the characters that make absolutely no sense. And believe me I know how much of the fandom runs on fanon as a golden trio and marauders era fan. But there is a point were you're just creating your own story that does not at all run along any of the origins.
Apologies for the rant, and if I offended anyone. That is not what I intend it's just none of this shit makes sense to me. But this is my opinion and you don't have to agree.

ok so im recently back on my klaroline-anual-obssesion-self and i fount the big bad wolf on ao3 and miss let me tell you IM RUNNING ON 4 HOURS OF SLEEP FOR THE PAST 3 DAYS because i can't stop reading you work!!! im completely and utterly obsessed (just read chapter 38 yesterday, and i might understand the chewing desire because im this close 🤏🏻 to start chewing something)
i love your writing sooooo badly! and I've read some of your posts and when you said you're not a history freak i can be the history freak here, no problem at all!!! the way you build the ambiance/world geography (if we can call it that) was AMAZING, i can see traces of the history time all over your work!
i could ramble for the whole night but im just gonna thank you for sam, seriously, i think he became my favorite original character and now im in pain because he's not real (btw: did you imagined someone to describe him? physically) and a HUGE THANK YOU for making same fistfight everyone inside that room, i was almost entering through my phone screen just to kick elijah in the balls;
i loved the realization moment where caroline realized katherine was actually quiete fucking smart
loved the sam and kol dynamic, feel like we have only small pieces of them but i loved how sam was protective over kol
loved the lore around werewolves, you nailed it!!!
im dying to see more of wolf!klaus
anyway, im obsessed with tbbw so thnak you!!
Hold up I have a lot of asks in my inbox rn but I have to answer this one first because asdfghjkl you just made the BIGGEST grin spread across my face and I am literally squealing and kicking my legs back and forth like a little girl. Thank you so much. Literally, just--- Thank you. You just made my day.
I don't really have a fancast for Sam (describing and visualising people's appearances is probably my weakness as a writer), but I'd say his appearance is inspired by characters like Dick Grayson and Steve Harrington. He's taller than Klaus and Elijah both, though more broad shouldered than Klaus, and he's got a head of hair on him, long enough to card his fingers through, but not long enough for it to become a mullet.

The Lost Tale of the Red Book - The Martyred Mother
This is a temporary title for the rewrite of my current WIP The Lady of Ithilien (posted on AO3).
The decision to rewrite the story comes after a lot of thought and after realizing that I have created too many OCs who would have otherwise no space in the current narrative. The moodboard in this post is supposed to represent the themes of the rewrite, the main ones being sadness, love, motherhood, fighting and death.
They honestly haven't really changed that much. They haven't changed at all, actually. The story was supposed to be borderline tragic from the early days of its conception and it will be so in the rewrite as well. Be prepared for a lot of angst and despair with lighthearted, funny and loving moments throughout.
Info dump (Warning for some! spoilers)
If you have read the chapters of the original story which are already posted on AO3, you will already know that the main character is Elenna "Enna" Tindómiel, the (adopted) eldest child of Faramir and Éowyn.

Fancasts for "Enna": Anais Tinguely (toddler); Billie Gadsdon (childhood until 10); Nehir Ada Trabzon (10-12); Mackenzie Foy (teenage years; roughly 13-19); Synnøve Karlsen (20 years old-her death)
She is what one would call a perfect lady and is betrothed to Crown Prince Eldarion as an infant. Due to Eldarion's...troubled personality, the marriage doesn't last and she later marries Elphirion—heir apparent to Lebennin—and then Eönwë. Oh, and there a little storyline with Mairon/Sauron coming back, which will affect her whole life. No big deal, really.
Changes from the original story
Although most of what I've already written is indeed canonical in my universe, I've recently thought of some changes which I think work slightly better. I will jot any new changes here so that I have everything in one single post.
Her whole arc is about persevering through tragedy and trying to grow as a person, which isn't really easy for her.
She's still the old "Enna" in many ways, she just tries more. She still apologizes at every turn, she still does not understand why Eönwë loves her, but instead of questioning his motives, she just learns to accept that she loves him. She may question them when they're courting, but she does show growth. She eventually relapses into her old ways (her teenage phase) after her children die. She loses hope and has to be persuaded to keep going.
Child and pre-teen: completely and fully innocent and confused. This is, of course, generally speaking. Ioreth starts filling her head with ideas of pomp and grandeur and she becomes a bit entitled, although Faramir, Éowyn and Boromir try to lessen Ioreth's influence on her. Will they succeed? I certainly hope so.
Teenage years: era of abuse, assault, trauma and meltdowns ("original" Enna) with a beginning of character development, but only a little.
Late teenage years: she becomes a bit more confident and dedicates most of her time to being a mom (she loves her children)
Adulthood: extreme trauma comes again (child loss), devotes most of her time to charity and helping others, has new laws enacted, tries to make the world a better place, her peace of mind is fully broken.
MAIN PERSONALITY TRAITS: deeply insecure, very little (nearly non-existent) self-esteem, needs to be reassured, kind, a bit impulsive on occasion, but extremely good at heart. One of the kindest people. She sympathizes and cares for all those who suffer. She's VERY STUBBORN, but not unreasonable.
~*~
I've never spoken about it openly, so it's not actually much of a change, but I think her relationship with her mom (Éowyn) is complicated since childhood. Ioreth tells her she is not worth loving and that she shouldn't even bother acknowledging or listening to her. Faramir says the exact opposite. I suppose forgetting about her and choosing to distance herself from Rohan is a natural consequence of that. Elboron resents her because she "left him" and may have learned that from his beloved older sister he loves so much. He has a mind of his own, but he may have internalized that by copying his sister. As an adult, Enna will learn to embrace her Rohan side against (somehow, maybe) because of Princess Idis, whom she helps and corresponds with. Yes, I made up my mind and Idis lives in the rewrite. She exists. She's very secluded and doesn't appear much, but she's alive.
Although the events of chapter 1 do unfold in the same way, Enna does not meet Eönwë in person until FoA 22. He still saves her in FoA 15 when Mairon/Sauron tries to kill her, but she has no idea it is him. She only sees a white, bright light and (maybe) hears his voice. But that's it. I had thought of a very cute scene of Elboron and Eönwë meeting when he's like three or four with Eönwë shape-shifting into an eagle and "taking him to fly" so maybe he meets Elboron not knowing he's related to Enna and that's Elboron that, years later, has them meet. Mmm... that's definitely something to think about. He might also meet several members of the Fellowship.
Maybe they meet in passing and have a few conversations, but it doesn't go past that.
She still insists on marrying Eldarion to gain power to survive but begs Aragorn to speed up to process once she's assaulted by Duinnín, the son of Duinhir of the Blackroot Vale (the same guy who later r*pes one of her daughters and is executed by Eönwë). She tells Aragorn about it but doesn't mention his name (if there's something which hasn't changed is her willingness to protect those who harm her both because it could create scandal, but also because she believes they can be redeemed).
She is extremely traumatized by the Mairon accident but since no one knows about it (unlike in the original), everybody assumes she just lost her mind. She cannot speak of it and bottles everything up. Rumors go around and her mental health goes down the drain. Some people swear that they saw something and obviously the members of the Fellowship believe her. A few weeks later Duinnín assaults her, having heard others that she's easy. By then only Maira sort of knows what she's been through and Enna has full meltdowns. She'll start getting better thanks to her Uncle Boromir the following year.
She still very much has her haughty, condescending moments but she realizes that she's in the wrong and feels extreme guilt about it (she cries, for instance, after raising her voice at people). Her inability to control her emotions (i.e. screaming and crying in a timespan of a legit second) is also due to her "post-Mairon medications"
She also has hallucinations of "a very pretty lady who talks to me" aka her conscience.
She sucks at comforting people. She means well, but...yep. She can't do it.
She actually loves Elphirion. Elendil (OC; Aragorn and Arwen's second son) arranges their marriage (he and Elphirion are childhood friends) and, if in the original story Enna was supposed to be indifferent towards him, she isn't in the rewrite. She loves him (in a friendly way) and they have a good marriage until he dies. The only problem is that Elphirion is constantly sick and Enna still cries a lot.
She is extremely scared of Elphirion at first and doesn't want him to touch her (she starts shaking and trembling when she sees him), but ultimately decides to trust him. She may not love him romantically, but there's that.
Eönwë is her third husband and she has sixteen children by him (counting miscarriages and stillbirths). She also struggles to trust him at first, but she eventually falls deeply in love (he falls first, I think)
She is still concerned about her husbands taking mistresses and sort of accepts the possibility even with Elphirion and Eönwë. She only asks that they are honest about it and not like (teen) Eldarion.
She was originally supposed to favor her boys over her girls, but she really doesn't in the rewrite. She is an all-around amazing mother. She may still be awkward around her girls from time to time, but she loves them wholeheartedly and wants to protect them so they don't suffer as much as she did. She is a truly great mom, but she doesn't think she is and that leads her down a path of...unhappy choices. But she is there for her children when they need her and if she is hesitant it is only because she feels unworthy of their love, not because she wants to avoid them or because she doesn't love. Her children sense that and they will actually have conversations about it. It may take a while (depending what direction the rewrite takes), but they will have those conversations sooner than later. All the snippets where she is hesitant are still valid, but they are to be looked at in a wider context and they will be integrated in a more positive narrative. We'll see how it goes from there. They will still have some disagreements, but I'll try to balance everything out a bit more. As much as I love angst—and, believe me, I do—I feel like it might get repetitive very quickly.
She does have the "Wyn trauma", but it's more due to the fact that she's afraid she's going to turn out like her rather than spite. She's hesitant to build a relationship with her, but she soon feels ashamed about it and, with her oldest children and Eönwë's support, she manages to be a loving mom to her nevertheless. The "favorite child" thing is more of a running joke rather than a factual thing. She may be closer to some of the kids (it's normal in large families, I think), but she loves them all unconditionally.
She still refers to her unborn children as sons sometimes, especially during her pregnancy with Elendur even she's a scared fourteen-year old who knows that only having a son may help her survive. She may even secretly tell Maira (=her maid, bestie and confidante) and Uncle Boromir. It may take a lot of persuasion, but she may eventually admit that, deep down, she wouldn't really care about the baby's gender if it were up to her. It's all Ioreth and society.
Boromir's role in all of this is expanded and he is the one who immediately sees through her façade in situations such as this one and, when she acts stubborn about it, he encourages her to be honest with him and to, essentially, drop the act. More on this in the Boromir Week stuff.
Even during her teenage years, she is much closer to Boromir than Faramir and keeps her father at distance (both not to have him worry about what happens to her and because she feels more comfortable opening up to her uncle since Faramir can't help but see her as a child).
She intends to keep the people she loves away to protect them (especially after Mairon tells her that all her loved ones will die), but Boromir (or maybe Elendil) try to convince her that if they must die, they'll die anyway. That gives her a lot to think about.
Speaking of children, Elendur (her first child and her first with Eldarion) doesn't die at birth. He dies some fourteen years later in a very stupid accident. Although Eldarion was horrible to her, Enna lies to her son about what happened to her so that Elendur can have a good relationship with dad (surprisingly Eldarion tries to be a good father and turns out to be a fairly decent person when he is sober and not controlled by some *hideous tutor*
In spite of Ioreth's abuse and constant nagging, she is extremely innocent as a child. She is still a bit haughty as a teenager, but her façade crumbles quite quickly (especially around people who know her and read her like the back of their hand) and readily admits it is her own coping mechanism to survive. She doesn't like doing it, but she's forced to do it.
As she grows older and is affected by tragedy, she falls back into her childish innocence (as a comfort and coping mechanism) and this trait of hers is exploited by traitors and people who wish her harm (i.e. the redhead as well as others). Her mental barriers are also affected by the personification of her conscience (she may do dangerous things she does not remember because of it, but she mostly cries into her pillow and tries to atone by helping others).
She also no longer values protocol as much. It was her everything as a teenager because it gave her a sense of purpose and a sense of self, but when she gets truly powerful, she no longer values it as much. She appreciates it when people observe it, but she's more relaxed about it. She's obsessed with the Maiarin salute though and would like for people to observe that.
She also becomes more accepting and open to the idea of women remaining unmarried. In the rewrite, she's no longer stuck in her ways, but actually shows growth more plainly and is more prone to listening to others. She is still very stubborn and defends her ideas, but she is a little less stubborn, I suppose.
She also tries to ask for help if she's sick (especially when she's pregnant—it will happen a lot). It will still very hard for her and she'll still feel very guilty about it, but the first step is what matters, right? She will probably try and communicate non-verbally (through her facial expressions, eyes etc), but she tries. It's a gradual process and she has to be coaxed into it, but she tries.
She has plenty of relapses where she thinks everything is her fault though.
The things she cannot/feels too ashamed to talk about she keeps in her diaries, which will be published after her death. Even though she's more open about her struggles, she still won't tell people everything (no one does) and many things will come to light after her death.
Elendil may not die after all. I have come up with an idea of Eldarion saving him last minute and that could possibly be the start of the two brothers mending their broken relationship. But we'll see.
I will be including facts and things I've spoken of in fandom events and one-shots as well.
As I mentioned, this post is ongoing and I will link my OC fancasts here once the character profiles are all complete (hopefully by the end of the year)
I will also link other moodboards For instance, I have here one of the Faramir and Éowyn's home in Emyn Arnen (Enna's childhood home)
This is how I picture Faramir's palace. The main reference is Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy, but I will also take inspiration from other Florentine palaces. I honestly don't know wether their palace will need to be rebuilt as well. In that case, I think Aragorn will give them another place in which to stay in Minas Tirith. That place could be very well inspired by Villa Medici (Rome, Italy)
It was built in white stone (much like all of Minas Tirith) and it has a garden. Éowyn said she wanted to garden so I suppose Aragorn makes her happy.
Enna will leave her childhood home (wether it is Palazzo Vecchio or Villa Medici is still to be decided, but I think it will be Palazzo Vecchio by then) in roughly FoA 13/14 to move to Minas Tirith full time. She will also live in Minas Tirith (or maybe Anórien or Dol Amroth or even Lindon - see, this is why this post is ongoing) while Faramir's old seat at Emyn Arnen is refurbished and made a lot bigger. The new and improved Emyn Arnen (which will become Enna and Eönwë's main residence) is inspired by Topkapi Palace in Istanbul (although some elements from various Medici palaces will remain. Palazzo Vecchio will essentially be expanded to make room for a lot of Maiar and new training guilds will also be built).
Before & After
The columns remain but the general architecture of the place changes a little bit. Some elements do stay the same (fountains and other things).
You know what? I think Enna and Eönwë's "middle" residence (the one they live in while Emyn Arnen is being renovated) might, after all, be in the region of Anórien, of which Boromir is Prince in my AUs. Eönwë and Boromir have a great relationship (you will get a glimpse of it in my One-shot for day 6 of Boromir Week 2025) and I thought it would be cool for Enna to be neighbors with her uncle. Mírion and the other early children from their marriage could very well be born in Anórien/Osgiliath. That would make me very happy. Elenwë need a place to stay and, since Faramir doesn't really like his son-in-law, I doubt Enna would want to return to Ithilien before her new home is ready and her dad is out. Imrahil will definitely try and persuade her to move in a palace close to his, but I doubt that will happen either. And Eönwë certainly wants to avoid Minas Tirith because of Eldarion and other personal reasons. So I think that, logistically, Anórien could be the only suitable place within the Gondorian borders. They could move to Arnor but...it's probably too far. They might have a vacation home there though. So...I guess...Anórien it is! Boromir will be very happy about it. It will be a bit awkward at first, but maybe Enna will reconcile with her cousins earlier than previously planned, and they'll actually get to have a relationship like a normal family? Why am I feeling so merciful today? I hope I won't regret it later. Don't get overexcited though and don't get too hopeful either. The themes in the main moodboard are still valid and she will still suffer greatly. It's the point of her story. She just will probably no longer have to suffer alone and will be more inclined to confide in her family members, especially Boromir and fam. They sort of stop speaking for a few years, but they get on well again once Enna is free of Eldarion, doing better mentally and married to Eönwë, who encourages her to apologize to Uncle Boromir and to mend whatever rift she had with her cousin(s). Again, why am I being so reasonable? So merciful? It's not in my nature. Maybe I should see a doctor.
I honestly think she will genuinely try to speak about her problems—only when prodded about it though—and their relatives will try and encourage her to open up. The change is that, instead of assuming right away that they want nothing to do with her, she will try to open up before her inner voices prompt her to start pushing everybody away because she feels like a burden. But the main difference between the original and the rewrite is that she will make the effort. At Eönwë's explicit request probably, but she will try.
Since I have mentioned Imrahil in my previous point, I just would like to say that Enna and Eönwë do have their official vacation spot in Dol Amroth. Enna's health is not great (to put it mildly) and she often goes to Dol Amroth in the hopes of getting better (y'know, the warmer climate and such). Their residence in Dol Amroth is based on the Miramare Castle in Trieste, Italy
Enna is friends with Erchirion and Amrothos and is godmother to the the young lady Erchirion and Iorlas adopt. She'll be spending a lot of time with her and will see a lot of Erchirion (and Iorlas). They're a couple (the idea, as far as I know, is originally by @lucifers-legions,so she gets the credit for bringing them together).
Enna will also be vital in ensuring that she gets legally recognized as their daughter and heir (while, at first she is against female succession, she changes her mind later on. It's all part of her character development. At the beginning she is purely against it because...it's against the law. She is not opposed to women ruling per sé, but the law states otherwise so that's her line of thought. She follows the law to a t and doing something which contradicts the WRITTEN LAW is outrageous to her. No spoilers, but you'll get a taste of it in my One-shot for day 7 of this year's Boromir Week).
Her interacting with Imrahil's sons is a change of plans, since I had previously thought she would have no interaction with Imrahil's boys whatsoever. Things do change quite fast, apparently.
I am almost fully set on Château De Chenonceau as Elenwë's residence in their early years of marriage.
Enna loves flowers (roses, lilies and tulips especially) so she'll have a field day in a garden such as this one. Château De Chenonceau for the win? I came across some wonderful Irish castles as well, so I might pick one of those as well. All castles are so pretty.
I wonder what (my) Ioreth will do now that both Boromir AND Eönwë would could potentially kick her out if she oversteps the line. Unless Ioreth only comes back when the revamping of Emyn Arnen is complete and Boromir is longer there to help protect her. See why this post will need further updates!?
I haven't really thought about it that much, but I could see Boromir living in a palace similar to a Medicean one (Sean Bean was in Medici so it would make sense. Nice touch there), but also in a French palace like Versailles or one of the Loire Castles. The Archbishop's Palace of Alcalá De Henares could also be a good reference. I feel like eventually it will be up to his wife 🤣 I'll update this post once again when I have Idhrildin's personality figured out and I have her choose her own house. Boromir is an army man, everything sounds good to him and I headcanon he's not really helpful when dealing with this kind of stuff.
I do like the idea of Boromir and Eönwë being neighbors though so I guess I'll just google whatever Loire Castle is closest to Château de Chenonceau and then add elements of Idhrildin's personality to it. Lis also helps with decorating so I guess she'll have a say in it, too.
Based on a quick Google search three Loire Castles that can be visited on the same day are Chenonceau, Cheverny and Chambord. So, I guess Boromir will get either Cheverny or Chambord? Boromir doesn't strike me as someone who likes opulent things and Cheverny seems to me a little smaller compared to Chambord. But then again, Boromir is the literal Prince of the fief so...if he doesn't live in a grand house, who does? Maybe Chambord is the Osgiliath place and Cheverny the Anórien one? Chambord is the main residence and Cheverny is his wedding gift to Idhrildin which is later turned into headquarters for her charities? Idhrildin, please a decision. You pick otherwise I'll just let you have both castles.
More to follow! (I'll update this post in the following weeks and months until I start working on the rewrite later in the year). I'll update it with several other moodboards and details (and possibly a new title). Other title ideas I've come up with for the rewrite are: A Golden Era, The Golden Era, The Forgotten Tale Of The Fourth Age and A Brief Golden Moment.
I personally think the one I put at the top of the post is still my strongest option, but we'll see. Being a mother is a major part of Enna's identity (she loves having children and loves being a mom) and she's a martyr because...she goes through a lot of things. I think it fits. Mother is also a title to her. Her children call her Valide, which does indeed mean Mother in the Valarin tongue (I am basing it off Turkish) and one of the many titles she is bestowed upon once she marries Eönwë is the title of Validem (=my Valide). That's a title that belongs to Varda as well and that's what the Maiar call her. Just like Varda, she is everyone's mother now. So, Validem is the title and Valide is Mother or Mom.
Please, don't forget to send in more fic requests so that I can develop these points and get the hang of them before I actually start the rewrite! I feel like there's nothing worse than setting one's mind onto a new course and then falling back into old habits. Send in anything! Especially Dol Amroth content (yes, I'm currently obsessed with Dol Amroth and I feel like my obsession won't be subsiding anytime soon. Not going to lie a fic with Enna and Erchirion and maybe even Iorlas would be great. I came up with this thing that they're close and now I need to develop it. I might even introduce their daughter 🫢 she might be Erchirion's daughter and then Iorlas adopts her.
Plot twist: Elendil survives his assassination attempt and Erchiriorlas' daughter (her name is Ellerian) marries him.
Maybe they don't get married because he dies anyway, but they have a brief romance. He may pull an Aragorn because he feels guilty of something or he feels like he's betraying Enna or whatever.
About Erchiriorlas...family drama in Dol Amroth or should I just have them conduct a secret affair and they become public after Imrahil dies? Or Erchirion doesn't really care what his dad thinks and does what he wants? It'd be a first in my writing. Erchirion is not Imrahil's heir anyway, so I suppose he's sort of allowed to do whatever he wants? Ugh. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
And don't forget to dm me or send asks if you want to know more (also, about the asks in my box...I'll try to answer them all by the end of the year.

"...we just hate the way Emma talk about this character feels like a mockery" Isn’t that just most of the cast, though? Most of them don’t bother to read the source material. Then they show up to interviews without a real understanding of their character arcs or endings and just throw out headcanons. Annoying? Yes. But it happens. It was annoying when Tom said Aegon was an empath (and his fans went wild, claiming he’s the only one who "gets him"). Emma, for the most part, provides a fairly neutral take on Rhaenyra. Sure, they’ve had moments where they veer into headcanon territory, but it’s not the worst I’ve seen. Then again, who wouldn’t start slipping after being asked the same question a thousand times: “What do you think your character felt when…?” 🙄 Out of the whole cast, Matthew Needham is one of the few who actually seems to understand his character. He doesn’t mock the role, try to justify actions, or force “good” qualities over the bad ones; he just presents his character as it is.
Anon talks about this post.
I haven't watched any interviews after the puppy one, that one with the black backdrop where Fabien and Matt were uncontrollably laughing, and one group one where Matt said he'd protect Emma in a different time period. And I haven't gone back for S1 interviews, so I wouldn't know about Emma's patterns there too well. But I have had the impression from clips on TikTok that it is as you describe, to the point that some people thought that they were a little wishy-washy to please the actor of Alicent (forgot her name) bc they were in their begiining of their friendship and we were all still in the midst of the show's pushing antiDaemonism/pro-Alicentism for Rhaenyra's popularity, which...never made any sense.
Important to note some things that other anon said:
A)
[...] we just hate the way Emma talk about this character feels like a mockery If Emma hates girlie stuff and thinking wore a skirt is their highest achivement? Its fine. But their fans had use the book to justifying that they are right while this character were nothing like in the book, it's better for them to throw fire and blood and embraced that their character love their stepmother.
B)
there's a lot of queer/minority actors in hollywood did all of them act like Emma? Emma didnt look like how George describe the character and didnt acting and behave like her, this one is older than her stepmom, the question is is this really the character? It is so understandable that Ryan and Miguel chose Emma through audition in Zoom meeting at the pandemic and it shows.
I forgot about the [bold] line above in the first quote or my eyes skipped it, but this presents as approaching transphobia/enbyphobia bc I'm not sure how Emma's supposed hatred feminine socially-coded feminine clothing impacted how the costumers created the clothes or how the writers decided to write a lot of show!Rhaenyra's subpar approaches to the war preparations. And Emma not looking like how GRRM describes Rhaenyra should really only refer to her (Rhaenyra's) clothing, bc acting is a priority over looks when considering fancasting. The person can be the "perfect" mirror of the official small-mouthed, plump Rhaenyra but if they can't act or portray Rhaenyra's character it's been a complete waste, esp when it's the MC. Makes the whole thing far less enjoyable or plain intolerable. And in general, fancasting/casting is not going to be perfect in terms of looks fitting those either detailed to T in the original text OR imagined so by one set of the audience from some deatils of the text anyway. It's not ever going to fit everyone's perfect idea of what the character looks like OR, again, fit the exact truely detailed accout from the text itself. No one looks like a "canon" Targ except maybe an albino, and even then we know Targs typically had "gold" (yellow/blonde) AND "silver" (white, NOT gray!) hair tendrils or has purple eyes (not dark blue that could pass as such, true purple).
So again, what we should consider is how the actor acts, what is written for them to base such acting on, and finally how the costumers/producers decided how this character dresses.
So there appears to be just some more possible transphobia here.

Hi! I said it many times that I adore your ff… but I reread your fanfic and understood that I have some questions about your Iris . We read about her through her relationship with Harry and Hermione. And you made perfect work as your Harry dad and Hermione-mommy bear are fantastic.
Unfortunately, I have lack of understanding Iris as a person, not daughter of Harry and Hermione.
But how do you imagine Iris by her own out of relations with her parents. What features of their character she has inherited? What will she be interested in? What complexes, problems will she have?
( add: as she is a Harmony child I imagine that she could look like Kaya Scodelario - my headcanon for Harmony daughter fancast)
Hi, that’s very nice of you to say. I wanted her to be like her parents: loyal, kind, smart and with a dry sense of humor, but also impatient at times, stubborn and insecure. I hoped that this would come across in the first few chapters as I tried to paint a picture of her life growing up, along with other things sprinkled throughout such as her relationship with her best friend from before, her experiences of being an only child to a young single mum, some of the bullying she received for not fitting in, but that she also danced and liked to read books and be creative.
This is the first time I’ve written from the POV of an OC. So I’m sure there’s mistakes and inconsistencies. I’ve also written about her in several “universes” if you will. I’ve tried to keep the roots of her congruent, but it’s not always easy, especially trying to imagine her at different ages, and with different experiences with when Harry comes into her life.
In Found which is the story you are asking about, I think one of her most complex problems is figuring out what it means to suddenly have another parent (and a famous one at that), especially at an age where she’s starting to become more independent and figure out who she is.
Writing an OC is one of the hardest things I’ve attempted, I’m sure I’ve gotten things wrong. I sometimes worry that she is a Mary Sue, or that she’s too flat, or unrealistic for her age. It’s probably one of the reasons I’ve stalled in writing the story. I try to tell myself it’s good practice for writing Original Work in general, which is part of why I decided to pursue the story in the first place, and why I hope to finish it, even if I don’t share it online.
As for how she looks, I don’t tend to imagine any of the characters as actors, including Harry and Hermione. Daniel Radcliff and Emma Watson are just…not it for me. I have a clear images of them all in my head, but sadly no real visuals, the closest is a picture I found a while back that shared a strong likeness to the Iris in my mind.
Kaya’s an interesting one, I really only know her from Skins which I associate with tons of drugs, sex and teen drama haha. Although I do remember trying to copy her character’s makeup when I went out as a newly minted nineteen year old. 😳

tell me more about the Avery family!
There’s not much to tell at the moment, it’s all just one big jumbled mess of ideas.
Albert Avery, also known as Avery sr, was born in 1927 to Ursuline Avery and her husband (who I haven’t officially named just yet). Albert was a classmate of Tom Riddle and was recruited into the Knights of Walpurgis when Riddle first established it in 1938 — Avery was in his second year at Hogwarts, a year below Tom. He was probably the Knight that Riddle trusted the most, tasking Albert to be his eyes and ears while at Hogwarts (besides that Carrow twins, at least).
There’s a lot of things regarding Avery’s background that remain unclear. For starters, I originally came up with the idea for his mother to have passed away around the time Albert was around three years old. It may still happen, but I’m actually leaning towards the idea of keeping her alive, especially when putting a face to a name for Ursuline’s character. She just doesn’t seem like the type of woman to die early on, you know? I feel like she’s more of a matriarch to the Avery family, if you know what I mean. Ursuline most definitely runs the circus!
My first thoughts when working on Albert Avery’s character development was that he’d be an only child. He and his father didn’t really get along, and well… there might’ve been some abuse within the Avery household, especially towards Ursuline. Keep in mind that this is not at all what I have planned for the Avery family now that I can actually envision them in my mind’s eye.
From the beginning, I pictured Ursuline much younger than how I portray her in the fancast. She was supposed to be a French witch, between the ages of 16-18, arranged to marry a man a bit older than herself. Lord Avery (which is what I’m going to call Albert’s father), was a heartless and callous man who only took on mistresses for company, having no emotional connection to them at all. Even when he married Ursuline, he preferred the presence of a side piece in his bed rather than his own young, beautiful wife. Why? Who knows. It’s not like he loved any of the women he took to his chambers in place of Ursuline.
When Albert was born, Lord Avery seemed to have no love for the boy. It was as if his disdain for his wife and left him unfeeling towards his own son; perhaps because the baby came from her, the woman he hated the most. As a result, Albert was raised solely by his mother and the household staff, only ever interacting with his father during social events, since oftentimes Lord Avery would be away on “business”, which usually involved the visitations of several women to his hotel suite.
An early idea was to have Louisa Avery, Albert’s younger sister, to actually be a child born to Lord Avery and one of his mistresses. This would’ve happened at some point after Ursuline’s death (if she did in fact die), but since I plan to keep her alive I made Louisa her daughter. Don’t get me wrong, I still think that a change in Louisa’s parentage could be a possibility, but that’s a thought for another day.
See? It’s all just a jumble of ideas. There’s so much more I could add into this post, but I feel like that would make it all the more complicated. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how it all plays out as I continue building the Avery family lore. Most likely in the near future headcanons will be posted, but that’ll take a bit until I can set things straight with these characters.
Thanks for the ask!

i just had a very visceral reaction to the timothee chalamet rumor.
like i already have anxiety, i don’t need the frail victorian sick boy making me even more anxious
but to the whole point of this: i’m applying to filmmaking schools currently and have been a DC fan for most of my life, so let me tell you that i have OPINIONS on DC casting
btw, these are of course my opinions, but as everyone always says, DC stands for Disregard Canon…
Dick Grayson - Nightwing/Robin I
My Casting: Anthony Keyvan
ideally i would want a Romani actor because Dick is canonically Romani (even if the the origin on why he is… well it’s pretty creepy), but i couldn’t find any.
i also tried finding Indian actors, because the Romani people are originally from a specific part of India and are officially recognized as Indian.
…but there was no luck there either. lmk if you have ideas
but this led me to Anthony Keyvan, who i’m pretty sure is Iranian and Filipino. Filipino actually works for Dick because eskrima (the weapon that Nightwing uses) is a Filipino style weapon, so becoming Nightwing could be a way to tie him back to his roots.
Jason Todd - Red Hood/Robin II
My Casting: Froy Gutierrez
do i headcanon Jason as latino? yes!
is it because Jason grew up poor and abused by his dad? no! (if you headcanon him bring latino because of this… that’s racist my dude)
i actually headcanon Jason being latino because of this actor, who’s half Mexican and half white. a combination of his past acting roles and just his general vibes feel very Jason to me.
Tim Drake - Red Robin/Robin III
My Casting: Aidan Gallagher OR Ian Chen

Tim is the one that i wouldn’t be incredibly mad if they cast Timothee Chalamet as. i mean, i have feelings about only casting A-list actors, but it wouldn’t be the absolute worst.
Tim is typically drawn very angular, which gives a lot of people the headcanon that he’s Asian. i don’t feel super strongly about this, which is why i found 2 actors.
i chose Aidan Gallagher for a couple reasons. one: he’s like 5’5” (at least according to google, i couldn’t find it on imdb). two: his role as Five in Umbrella Academy. UA has always gave me batfam vibes, and i do see Five as the Damian of the group, but for some reason, he also really reminds me of Tim
now if you do headcanon Tim as Asian (which i’m fine with, i’m just not super opinionated on it), then i think Ian Chen would be a good choice. he’s a pretty young actor (i think mid- to late teens), so he hasn’t been in much, but he’s a good comedy actor, which i think works pretty well for Tim.
and finally, the most contested casting of them all…
Damian Wayne - Robin V
DC’s Alleged Casting: Timothee Chalamet
My Casting: Ian Ho

NO. NO. NO.
STOP.
i refuse to let this little white ghost boy play a character that is canonically white, Chinese, and Middle Eastern.
i will say that i had a hard time finding a young actor that is white, Chinese, and Middle Eastern, but Ian Ho is Chinese (allegedly, idk where i actually heard this), so it was the closest i could get.
BUT IT’S STILL CLOSER THAN DC.
these are all my opinions ofc, so don’t take it too seriously. also i definitely have fancasts of the rest of the fam so lmk if you want those too ❤️

Well, my follower count has grown these days, especially due to my works on AO3. I’d like to clarify a few things, especially regarding certain topics I’ve seen on some blogs I read. I also want to thank you all for following me and reading my stories. So, here are a few things or themes you’ll always find in my novels, just to make everything clear.
Dick Grayson
Since I don’t like writing him in the usual fanon style, I’ll always try to keep him as canon as possible. He’s a grown man, almost thirty, depending on the story or setting I’m writing. In my novels, you won’t see him as a sunshine character—he’s a man with struggles, challenges, and a life on the edge. He cares about his family and helps his siblings in his own way. You won’t see him living in the Manor; he has his own life, his work in Blüdhaven, and his role with the Titans. Writing fanon isn’t something that appeals to me, especially after reading his comics. No, I won’t write him as a slut or a serial cheater.
Ships
I include ships depending on whether the fic needs it, and if it does, I’ll decide which ship fits best. Yes, I love DickKory, but you’ll also see other ships (don’t worry, there will always be proper tags). There might be some DickBabs, but that will depend on the fic, and sometimes I just prefer keeping Dick single. I want to make it clear that I don’t fight over which ship is “the best” for Dick Grayson—I’m not interested in that kind of debate. However, I won’t stay silent if I see racism toward Kory Anders or derogatory comments about Barbara Gordon. Both are amazing characters that, unfortunately, many writers don’t know how to handle properly.
I stopped fighting over ships a long time ago, and if I were to fight for one, it would be SteveTony from Marvel—I’ve been shipping them for over twenty years. So, if you’re expecting hate posts about Barbara Gordon here, you won’t find them. Sorry.
Character Personalities
As you can probably tell, I don’t intend to fall into fanon interpretations. I’m not a fan of the version of Tim Drake where he’s obsessed with coffee, or depicted as a serial cheater in his relationships, or as weak. You won’t see that here. The same goes for Jason, Bruce, Cassandra, Stephanie, Duke, or Damian—especially Damian. Considering how much he’s grown in the comics and his development (even if he sometimes stumbles), he’s a kid who has been gradually evolving in terms of his emotions and personality.
Adult Relationships
I love exploring adult relationships. I’d like to highlight that I used to write original novels for Wattpad and Booknet in LATAM, so you’ll definitely see adult themes in the relationships I write. I enjoy delving into topics like the future of relationships, commitment, and how they evolve—of course, it all depends on the fic. That also means you’ll see fic edits; I got used to doing that, and it’s also fun.
I Write for DC and Marvel!
Maybe I don’t post everything, but you’ll see Marvel content in my works soon. If you want to know more about my preferences, check out my pinned comment. I enjoy answering questions and engaging in discussions.
Fancasts!
I love imagining different versions of the Batfam, Arrowfam, or even the JL depending on the fic. So, you’ll always see different interpretations, but obviously, that’s just my personal take—you can ignore it if you want. I love creating fancasts and searching for actors.
I think that’s it! Thank you for following me, for reading my work, and for all your support. I’ll be posting more soon, including some ideas I have in my Google Docs regarding certain ships and especially the Batfam.

Do you have any fancasts for who should voice/play any particular characters in a Metroid show/movie? Of course Samus is a more loaded topic, and some characters like Raven Beak and Anthony have VAs, but what about Ridley? Mother Brain? Kanden? If you wanna get really speculative, what about Sylux?
Okay okay this is my time to pitch for Mother Brain either Cate Blanchett (for her role as Hela in Thor: Ragnarok), or Angela Bassett (for her role as Shatter in Bumblebee); I’m leaning more towards the latter because Bassett’s performance was specifically an evil duplicitous robot who puts on this friendly facade, that either reins in or lets loose her more sadistic, reckless male counterpart that has big child with a magnifying glass and ant hill vibes (AKA Ridley). There’s this very sickly sweet yet condescending and insincere tone to Mother Brain in my head. I’ve been sitting on this fan cast since forever and I’m so glad for the opportunity to bring it up. I’ve also considered Lorraine Toussaint, for Shadow Weaver from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, and Masago from Star Wars: Visions. Lots of gaslighting “Join me in bringing order to the galaxy” and “I totally backstabbed everyone for good reasons” vibes.
Can’t think of anything for anyone else, at least in terms of specific actors. But for voice HCs… For Kanden, I’d prefer him to just be silent entirely, and for the rare times he speaks it’s in a low, rumbling, presumably Enoema dialect; That way it still preserves the idea of him being incomprehensible, alien, not quite heard or understood by the viewer.
For Ridley, it’s hard to describe but I like to have him with this almost buzzing filter, like he’s speaking through a radio; No static though! So not necessarily a raspy voice. I HC him as speaking the way parrots do, so his mouth and lips don’t necessarily move. Despite my previous comparisons, no I’m not considering Justin Theroux as a fan cast, too deep unless he shows a lighter vocal range. At which point it’d feel too perfect not to pair him up with Bassett again lol.
Kraid I’m still figuring out because despite him being a fave I’m obsessed with, somehow I’m still struggling to nail his personality and dynamic with Ridley and Mother Brain… But I am kinda inspired by this brief, slavering line by Benedict Campbell’s performance as King K. Rool, used in this fanmade Captain N reboot trailer, since I see a lot of similarity to K. Rool and Kraid;
youtube
K. Rool is often paired with Ridley because they were revealed back to back in cinematic trailers for Ultimate, being heavyweight villain entries to Day One franchises in Smash that otherwise had only heroes, with a huge amount of hype and demand about them for years no less. They’re even both reptilian pirates!!! Sakurai evidently picked up on the similarities because when doing Kraid’s Spirit battle, he used K. Rool to represent him. Sometimes I consider taking my perception of K. Rool’s personality and just transplanting it into Kraid, because it’s not as if I’m imagining doing a pitch for a(nother) Donkey Kong show haha…

I always thought Kraid’s Super design gave me vibes for a voice like Polpo’s from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, either his original VA Hideo Ishikawa or Brook Chalmers for the English dub. I’ve considered Polpo as an inspiration for Kraid since they’re both huge fat villains who spend all their time in a room they somehow managed to fit in, and rely on a bunch of defenses to even get to them; But are still incredibly dangerous and high-ranking themselves, giving out orders from within their ‘cells’… They even have some strange regeneration going on with their fingers.
Polpo is a wealthy guy with a taste for the finer things in life, and Kraid seems built for defending things, more on that in another post; So characterizing him as a dragon with a hoard of treasure (making both Space Pirate lieutenants dragons, fittingly) and leaning into the material greed aspect of the Space Pirates, feels appropriate. Though sometimes I worry about leaning into fatphobic stereotypes by characterizing Kraid as a hedonist…
Of course, I consider the Dread design the new standard for Kraid now, and the vibes there feel more K. Rool to me… But at least more stereotypically piratey, which is good because I want to hearken to the OG vibes behind the term ‘Space Pirate’ before Metroid evolved the group into an entire military coalition. There’s also Darin De Paul as Sloth from Darksiders III, who even resembles Kraid, esp the more insectoid interpretation that almost made into Prime. Sloth’s vibe is meant to be more apathetic, but that might be relevant to Kraid’s static position, and even if toned down is a way to foil the more aggro ambition of Ridley and Mother Brain; He relies a lot on minions, something I also consider for Kraid. And simply for vibes is Clancy Brown doing Hades from God of War III, there's the deep and gravelly inflection, plus a monologue for vengeance that could hearken to Kraid outliving all of the other Space Pirates.

i'm gonna talk about my very first ocs because i feel like they deserve it :) when i was a kid i didn't quite have the imagination yet to create whole worlds, so my ocs were often inserts into existing things i was into.
this is a very long post with a lot of useless personal information, and is more a diary entry than anything.
i had many more ocs than what's listed here, but i can't remember most of them, so here are just the ones i remember.
childhood:
at 7, the very first oc i can ever remember making was Maya, a pokemon oc. she was the fourth member of team rocket in the anime canon, and could shapeshift between being a human and a celebi. i remember her being "older" but that could mean anything from a middle schooler to an adult.
also pokemon-related but not quite an oc, i had a lot of fakemon around that time. the only one i remember was a raccoon-like one named Tyco.
at 9, soon after was Tanya, a fairly oddparents oc. she was a little girl who was friends with the main character.
at 10, i really got into oc-making, and the next bunch are all from when i was about 10.
i started getting into "somewhat whumpier" things and made my first "edgy" oc, Deepheart, for warrior cats. she was a black cat with purple eyes and a tragic backstory i can't remember, who eventually got with stormfur.
i was very into danny phantom and continued my tragic backstory experiments with Chelsea. she was a ghost and the younger sister of ember (she was basically an ember recolor) who died in the same fire. she also had fire+music powers, but a polar opposite personality to ember (she was nice).
i can't remember the specifics or names of the ocs i made for a bunch of these, but i also made oc-inserts for the following around this time:
total drama island - multiple ocs, i think i had a whole fancast, which was the closest i got around this time to making an original story.
monster buster club - character existed to be friends with chris, who was my favorite. she was a monster in disguise or something of that nature.
percy jackson - i definitely had one and i was REALLY into it, but can't even remember what god she was a daughter of.
in middle school as i entered early teenhood, i started reading YA books. sadly, my taste was not that great.
preteen:
at 12, i made Chelsea (reused the name from the danny phantom oc because i just rly liked the name), a twilight oc. she was the first vampire oc i ever made, so i guess she was the start of All This. she was the youngest cullen at 14 years old (i do not remember if this was a chronological age or just a physical age and i think i was too oblivious to realize just how significant that difference was), and had a Forbidden Romance with seth, the werewolf kid.
at 13, i realized i could have ocs that were boys! a fantastic revelation! technically i already had ones from the total drama fanseason i had in my head but they were all side characters. made my first main guy, Oliver, a scott pilgrim oc and ramona's 8th ex-boyfriend.
i made a LOT of other ocs for YA books in middle school, but i don't remember much about the others.
teenhood - homestuck:
at 15, i got into homestuck, and that was when things got out of control.
i started with a literal self-insert with my birthname, who eventually got split into 2 alt-timeline versions of herself (i was a girl at the time), one who went with dave and rose during the timeskip and one who went with john and jade during the timeskip. when they met back up, they fell in love and got together, which i think might be the truest expression of self-love i've ever had.
but it didn't end there. i got really into making fantrolls, and made TONS of them. i don't remember their names very well (esp bc they were all made up alien names) but i remember my favorites: a bronzeblood with an eyepatch whose name started with a P, and a violetblood whose name started with an I.
the violetblood was probably my first true whumpee. while violetbloods are normally amphibious, he was born with lungs that don't work, and was forced to remain underwater at all times since he could only use his gills. when sgrub caused the apocalypse, he had a little tank he would stay in on the ship. and when gamzee started killing everyone, he couldn't get away.
this was also where i branched out into creating original characters not tied to an existing IP!!! FINALLY!!! it all started with fantrolls. i made two more significant sets of fantrolls: one centering around an abnormally overpowered purpleblood who had his memory erased and used to be a cruel whumper-type (and a set of supporting characters to go with him), and one centering around a purpleblood who'd been tortured and the lowblood who acted as his caretaker. you can tell i was very much getting into whump at this point, despite not yet knowing the term.
i eventually decided that homestuck's lore was not equipped to carry the stories i wanted to tell for those two, and split them each off into original universes. i am not into homestuck anymore and it's really a relic of its time, but it impacted me quite a lot creatively.
teenhood - original stories:
the amnesia guy came to be named Nova, my first wholly-original character. he existed in a magic/fantasy type universe, and was the most powerful magic-user in his world. he'd previously been extremely evil and caused untold carnage, countless people tortured to death. the heroes, after realizing they could not stop him, decided to try to wipe his memory instead. this did, in fact, work. Nova became a character saddled by EXTREME ANGST about his past wrongs. to make it worse, his pre-memory-wipe evil self eventually started to slowly come back as a separate entity in his mind, essentially haunting him. i daydreamed about Nova for a long, long time, and occasionally still do.
the whumpee-caretaker duo became Dwar and Clobu, members of an original alien species i came up with. unlike Nova's story, which became so divorced from his fantroll beginnings that his origin was basically unrecognizable, this one remained heavily homestuck-inspired. the aliens here were grouped/inspired by the layers of the atmosphere, rather than the signs of the zodiac. Dwar (the whumpee) had skin that looked like the night sky, dark blue with stars all over, while Clobu (the caretaker) looked like a cloudy day. they were pretty :) these guys are a very very early inspiration for the Kane & Jim dynamic.
i also started making non-IP-related ocs without "converting" them around this time. in particular, i became very interested in demons.
first i made Charlie, a teenage demon raised by humans who just wanted to be A Normal Kid. he played the guitar and used tumblr and was all in all very nonthreatening and normal. he was a bit boring.
at about 16, i later made Nicky, a "redo" of the Charlie concept but with more pizzazz. his mother had brought him on a hunt (for humans to kill and eat) while he was an infant, and she was killed by a demon hunter. the hunter couldn't bring herself to kill the baby, so she took him in and raised him instead. Nicky's story is very very long, because he is the only oc from my childhood i still regularly daydream about to this day, and i have been building him up for a decade. some highlights:
accidentally burns his adoptive mom when he's a little boy who's just gotten his fire powers, and it's what makes him realize he never wants to hurt people. she forever has a scar shaped like his tiny little 5-year-old hand.
demons generally need to eat human flesh to be healthy. this is obviously not something Nicky wants to do or even feasibly can do when he's younger. he eats a lot of other meat (mainly pork), and is basically constantly hungry. he carries jerky around with him all the time to snack on.
as a young adult, he and his (human) best friend (mutual pining crush) are stuck in a cave (entrance blocked by rocks) with a bunch of demons waiting to kill them when they leave. Nicky knows he's not strong enough to defeat them, but he could be if he wasn't malnourished. in a moment of desperation, his friend ends up giving him a few fingers to eat so they can make it out alive, and he feels guilty forever that it's the best thing he's ever tasted.
his mom is killed by demons in a fight in his early 20s, and he goes on a ballistic rampage murdering everyone in sight. after this, he runs away and ends up moving to hell.
when he's in his 40s, he sees a little human girl who's been captured and brought to hell, and quickly rescues her. he can't find a way to smuggle her back to earth, so he ends up raising her in his apartment.
when he does eventually get her back to earth years later, he moves in with her dad and they co-parent. becomes a love triangle thing with the dad and his childhood friend who he eventually reconnects with- not for the usual "you have to choose one!" reasons that i hate, but because his relationships with each are honestly very tumultuous.
my other early demon oc was Crimson, a magicless demon who'd been captured by hunters and tortured until a kind hunter rescued him and became his caretaker. this character would later become Kane, but originally there was no "former whumper" backstory, he was just a pathetic little guy.
at 16, my other main obsession as a teenager was dangan ronpa, and of course i made several dangan ronpa ocs whose names i can't remember. one of them was a girl who had a fierce rivalry with togami. i started getting into g/t around this time, and liked to play around with that with my dangan ronpa oc for some reason. i don't know why, it's not like DR had any kind of g/t in it. but i would always imagine a story where togami became tiny and he and my oc came to a begrudging alliance as they tried to fix it.
i also ended up converting this into an original story, taking place in a low-fantasy universe, where a bully character Damien got shrunk by magic, kept in a jar, and was tortured by some of his former victims. his one victim who thinks this is fucked up (can't remember his name) rescued him, and they put aside their differences to fix it. i just love reluctant caretakers and whumper-turned-whumpees.
and that's all the notable ocs i can think of from my childhood! figure they deserve at least a small space on my blog :) and i still might write Nova, Nicky, or Damien's stories someday.

The sin of Gluttony: Beezlebub

Negative Traits: Despite his desire to have a warm & comfortable environment associated with himself, it's slightly for his own purpose as Beezlebub isn't above peer pressure or forcing self-indulgence upon a person due to his feeding off others' self-indulgence.
