@knights-0f-walpurgis PLEASE GIVE US MORE
Ok, so I just read about your oc, Epiphany Greengrass? She is Orion Black's mistress? CAN YOU ELABORATE MORE CAUSE THAT'S PIQUED MY INTEREST NOW
Sorry, I got really excited there.
I’m so glad you are excited about her!!
Orion knew Epiphany back during their school days. He couldn’t marry her because of the Greengrass blood malediction as Arcturus deemed it “too impure” to have running within the Black family bloodline. So, of course, the end result ultimately came down to Orion marrying Walburga instead.
Black continued seeing Epiphany, in spite of his marriage to Walburga. He’d shamelessly flaunt her to the public, tabloids going absolutely wild when they caught wind of Orion Black having a mistress. It was a complete scandal, but did Orion care? No. He loved Epiphany, and he loved how much disrespect his relationship with her put on Walburga’s name.
Orion would financially support Epiphany, buying her an estate of her own, which he would often sneak away to in order to escape Walburga and the family that burdened him. The two would then have a son Arcturus IV, the only child Orion had that he truly loved unconditionally.

Riddle era headcanons
Walburga, like her son Sirius, was very rebellious in her youth. Wally’s parents had difficulty suppressing her recalcitrant tendencies and it only got worse once she got to Hogwarts. 100% bullied Muggleborns, probably even tried to hex Tom maybe once or twice before he earned his reputation.
Orion Black and Abraxas Malfoy were the first of Tom Riddle’s peers that he befriended during his first year at Hogwarts. In spite of this, Malfoy was the only one out of the two who joined the Knights of Walpurgis.
There is no doubt in my mind that would lead me to believe that Orion was not a pure-blood supremacist, but I don’t think he was much of an extremist when it came to blood purity. It definitely comes down to how far you are willing to go in order to preserve your own ideals and for Orion that only went as far as to marry your own cousin.
Alphard Black was a metamorphmagus like his grandniece Nymphadora Tonks. Being a metamorphmagi was not widely accepted back in the ‘30s and ‘40s, especially for witches and wizards born into influential pure-blood families so I don’t think Alphard’s parents approved of his abilities and probably implored him not to use them in public.
Cygnus and Druella were a love match which was a rare occurrence for pure-blood marriages at the time.
Tom Riddle’s classmate Rosier Sr. was the father of Evan and Felix Rosier. Rosier Sr. is also the brother of Druella Rosier, which therefore makes him the uncle of her three daughters Bellatrix, Andromeda and Narcissa.
Druella inherited the lighter Rosier traits such as blond hair and blue eyes from her father, while her brother Rosier Sr. got the gene for more darker features from his family like his aunt Vinda Rosier.
Birth order of the Black siblings: Walburga (b. 1925), Alphard (b. 1927) and Cygnus (b. 1929). Canonically, Cygnus was born somewhere around 1938 which would’ve made him thirteen by the time Bellatrix (b. 1951) was born. Most fans have considered this a mathematical error made by J.K. Rowling and so I’m going to put his date of birth around the late 1920s.
Lucretia Black was not a pure-blood supremacist like her family, making her much like her cousin Alphard in that regard. She would later become an ally to the Order of the Phoenix when Voldemort rose into power.
Rodolphus Lestrange is said to have the gift of foresight, which I headcanon he gets from his father Lestrange Sr. Ironically, the raven is the family emblem of the Lestrange family, and in Greek mythology, a raven is the sacred bird of Apollo, God of foresight.
Lestrange Sr. married Tasoula Shafiq, a pure-blood witch from the Shafiq family who are listed in the Sacred Twenty-Eight. The Shafiq family are of Middle Eastern origin which is where I assume Rabastan Lestrange got his name from; the name Rabastan is Arabic for ‘Head of the Serpent’.
Euphemia Potter and Walburga Black were actually very close friends during their time at Hogwarts. The two grew apart especially once they graduated and Euphemia went on to marry Fleamont. Walburga didn’t approve of the match, because even if the Potters were a respectable pure-blood family they were not supremacists.
Orion and Walburga saw their marriage as more of an obligation than a partnership. It was a practical match which neither Orion or Wally were hesitant to accept. The two of them believed that it was their duty to keep their bloodline pure and if that meant marrying each other then so be it.
Due to the House of Black’s constant inbreeding, Orion was born with hemophilia.

Okay so tomarry fic idea where Harry slips back in time right after his OWLs so the DoM fiasco doesn't happen but most importantly he appears in 1943 I guess? also just right after the exam season. Except he's in London.
Somehow he figures out to get back into his time he has to live through all the years up until that point, kind of like in A Linear Progression by billboard_dinosaur, so when Harry shows up what's technically summer after his 5th year he's old. And married!
He of course married Tom Riddle, shortly after they're done with Hogwarts. Except Tom doesn't become Voldemort. Not fully, at any rate. Because between two parsel speakers that are also scary powerful dark wizards (there is a plot for that) they can switch the Dark lord personality between them as they want. So it also makes it harder to find them guilty of anything.
em... Dumbledore isn't having a good time, when Harry technically comes back. But then neither did Harry when he was disembodied for 14 years. Time paradoxes and all, can't kill your younger self.
Anyway, I'm writing this!

Okay, so hear me out on this
There's nothing saying the rest of the Order has to be from the Marauders Era. So what about a Dorcas Meadowes who was Head Girl when Tom Riddle opened the Chamber of Secrets - a Slytherin girl who sat there and listened to him speaking parseltongue to impress his friends. When Slughorn was fawning over the gang of future Death Eaters, Dorcas was taking Auror prep classes and staying as far away as she could while sharing a common room.
She first heard the name Voldemort on the lips of her peers. She rolled her eyes and thought it was the most ridiculous thing she had ever heard. But when rumors begin spreading after they've all left Hogwarts, she understands at once what's happened and goes straight to Dumbledore.
I ship Dorlene, so let's make Marlene be from the Riddle generation as well. They're rivals at school, maybe even enemies, because even pre-Voldemort, Gryffindors and Slytherins don't often get along. But Marlene also sees the signs. She remembers the charming Slytherin boy who got Hagrid expelled, and she's still convinced he framed him. As members of the brand new Order of the Phoenix, she and Dorcas are reunited and begrudgingly work together, eventually going enemies to friends to lovers.
Later on, they're both targeted far more than the rest of the Order. Because unlike the younger members, they know the truth about Voldemort's origins, and that makes them far more dangerous as far as he's concerned. Hence the attack on the McKinnons (Marlene's siblings/nieces/nephews?) and Dorcas being murdered by Voldemort in person.

B. 1902 — Ségolène Leroy (née Volant) married Marceau Leroy, a distant nephew of the Leroy sisters Balbine and Pucine. She was married to him at the age of sixteen, while her husband was seventeen at the time. Their early marriage was an arranged one, the two having not been very well-acquainted with each other even once Ségolène was given away to Marceau at the altar. The union was an asset to the Volants who were succumbing to financial ruin after the death of Étienne Volant, the family depending on Ségolène as the eldest of her sisters to stabilize their fortune.
Marceau was a charming man with a magnetic personality that drew people in effortlessly. His warm smile and genuine interest in others made him a beloved figure amongst his family and fellow pure-bloods. Ségolène, who was more soft-spoken and not as outgoing or assertive, found herself captivated by his charisma from their very first meeting; Marceau had a way of making her feel valued and heard, which was refreshing for the girl, for she finally felt she could express herself without reservation knowing that her opinions mattered to someone and would not go overlooked.
In spite of not having a say in whether or not she wanted to marry Leroy, Ségolène approached her situation with a quiet resolve. The decision had been made by her parents, who let their daughter’s thoughts and opinions go unheard, especially since she was the eldest child and had an obligation to her family’s honor and reputation. Even so, Ségolène would be the most fortunate of her sisters to have married Marceau as her union with him blossomed into a long-lasting partnership filled with love and happiness that would not be short-lived, nor strained and loveless.
Ségolène and Marceau had two daughters: Capucine (b. 1925) and Odelette Leroy (b. 1927)
B. 1905 — Orphélie Malfoy (née Volant) married Brutus Malfoy II, a distinguished scion of one of the oldest pure-blood families in the wizarding world. Their union was not just a romantic commitment but a strategic alliance, strengthening ties between two influential families. The second eldest Volant daughter, known for her striking looks and sharp intellect, was a rising star in the circles of high society. Orphélie captivated many with her wit and charm, her marriage to the young Malfoy heir attracting much attention from the public who were enchanted by the foreign French witch.
She was a breath of fresh air to the snobbish and traditional Malfoy family, who had long been steeped in the rigid customs of pure-blood society. Orphélie’s vibrant personality and modern outlook challenged the status quo, introducing her liberal approach to more progressive views. Although her in-laws weren’t so agreeable with her ideas, Brutus remained supportive of his undeterred wife, remaining by her side in spite of his family’s beliefs.
At the age of 21, only two years into her blissful marriage with Brutus, young Orphélie tragically passed away from illness, leaving her distraught husband to become cold and bitter the day her body entered the Malfoy family crypt. With no heirs, Brutus was forced to remarry, although his second wife could not hold a candle to the beautiful and spirited Orphélie. The contrast was stark; while his new wife, a dutiful and traditional woman, embodied the expectations of pure-blood society, she lacked the warmth and vibrancy that defined his first marriage. Brutus felt trapped in a gilded cage, haunted by memories of the laughter and joy that had once filled Malfoy manor from when his late beloved wife was still alive.
B. 1907 — Adélaïse Nott (née Volant) was a professional ballerina and mistress of Cantankerous Nott, a callous man who was notorious for his bitterness and sharp temper. No one ever thought a someone filled with so much hatred could ever be capable of love, especially when it came to loving someone so delicate and innocent as Adélaïse Volant, who with her beauty and grace, somehow managed to capture the cruel man’s eye during one of her performances while touring in England.
There was a major scandal when an unmarried Adélaïse found out she was pregnant with Nott’s baby—a little boy. The two were in a relationship for about two years around the time the young Volant girl found she was with child. The relationship between Cantankerous and Adélaïse was not a secret to the public since the beginning, so it didn’t take long for people to find out. The news of Adélaïse’s pregnancy sent shockwaves to society and the Volants were urging for Cantankerous to marry the girl for her reputation’s sake.
Reluctantly, Nott married Adélaïse to spare her from public shame. Although he cared for her, admitting that he wished to be married to her would be a lie. He cherished the relationship they had before marriage—its freedom and lack of commitment. He had always preferred to keep people at arm's length, avoiding the emotional entanglements that came with deep connections. Their love for each other would become strained, especially as the child grew and Cantankerous became harsher towards his son.
The Volant sisters and their children are ocs of @konstantynowitz who has gone on a little hiatus and has asked me to post about these characters. The husbands of Ségolène Leroy and Orphélie Malfoy are original characters of mine.

A headcanon of mine is that, besides the Knights of Walpurgis, there was a generational secret society at Hogwarts for all pure-blood students that has been around for hundreds of years. I based it on the Life and Death Brigade from Gilmore Girls, where they'd host events in covert locations for all members. Their dress code would vary according to the theme of the evening and their mannerisms would differ depending on the era being celebrated.
Imagine this: The members jumping off high platforms with umbrellas. Picture a young third-year Druella Rosier being blind folded by her brother and his friends, who take her to one of these gatherings for the first time. As a dare, she was forced to jump from the towering platform, but she was too scared so Cygnus held her hand and they went down together.
The secret society was only rumored to exist, nobody outside of its members and honored guests knew about it. By 1964, an aspiring journalist Rita Skeeter, managed to get into one of these parties and wrote an article to get more inside information on the enigmatic group without exploiting its existence, merely adding on to the rumor that it was, in fact, a real organization.

Céléase Rosier - Headcanons Pt. 2
Thank you to @lazyreinelle for creating the character Ambrose Avery!
circa 1950 - Lissie's broken relationship with her brother
When Lissie found out that Étienne was getting involved with Voldemort, she was distraught. The thought of her brother being used as the Dark Lord's puppet for his own agenda made her blood run cold.
She always knew that Étienne was part of an elite group of pure-blood supremacists led by Riddle, but when things escalated Lissie never expected her beloved "Éttie" to stick with him.
"I'm not going to just stand here and watch you give your life away to that monster," Lissie says, her voice quivering as tears prickling at the corners of her eyes.
Lissie's bleary gaze fixated on the cloaked figure in front of her, their face concealed by a mask of intricate design. He stood across the room from the young Rosier girl, but even at a distance she knew it was her brother.
Étienne scoffed from behind his mask, his hands clenching at his side as he held back his frustration. "I am doing this for us," he murmured, his tone giving way to his irritation. "For all pure-bloods."
Céléase shook her head, refusing to accept her brother's explanation as she countered it with her own retort. "And for what? You are losing yourself to him, Étienne. You are not the same man I once knew."
From behind his mask, Lissie could almost feel the sneer forming on her brother's face, but continued to stand her ground, in spite of the overwhelming tension in the air.
"Please, Éttie," she begged once more, blinking away the tears that were now rolling down her cheeks. "Please don't make me watch you do this to yourself."
As she starred at Étienne from across the room, she could barely recognize him, and it wasn't just because of the mask. he was like a stranger, a mere shell of the Étienne Rosier Lissie had once known.
"Just don't watch then," Étienne murmured indifferently, his eyes now refusing to meet his sister's watery blue-green orbs.
"Éttie-" Céléase croaked out, but it was too late, Étienne had apparated out of the room and Lissie was left alone to deal with her own inner turmoil churning in the pit of her stomach.
circa 1952 - Nervous Breakdowns
Céléase was a metamorphmagus, but she was taught to suppress her ability as it was not socially acceptable at the time.
Whenever her emotions are heightened, Lissie loses control of her shapeshifting powers, which would oftentimes get her reprimanded by her parents or siblings (specifically Druella).
During her seventh year at Beauxbatons, Laurent and Eglantine took Druella to go visit Lissie in France.
At this point in her life, Céléase was talking to a Ambrose Avery, an arrogant boy who fancied the young Rosier girl.
He was always such an ass towards Lissie, always trying to provoke her temper merely just to get her attention.
Laurent and Eglantine were walking around the school's grounds while reminiscing on when they attended Beauxbatons. Out of nowhere, Avery confidently struts up to them, his lips upturned in a cocky smile.
Lissie tries to get him to leave but Avery completely ignores her and at this point it's too late because Laurent and Eglantine already noticed the boy.
Ambrose, being the stuck-up, snobby that he is, politely introduces himself to the Rosiers. First, he takes Eglantine's hand into his and brings it up to his lips, pressing a brief kiss to them like any gentleman would do.
He then turns to Laurent, bowing his head politely in the older man's direction before outstretching his hand for a handshake. After the gesture is reciprocated, Laurent acknowledges Ambrose as the son of a former peer Aldéric Avery.
Of course, Laurent mentions this and Ambrose practically jumps at the opportunity to do something that would make Lissie's blood boil over.
"Well, sir, you can expect to see him at my family's holiday party in three days." Ambrose shoots Lissie a sly grin before returning his attention back to Mister Rosier. "It would be my pleasure to host you and your wife at Avery Manor for the evening. Of course your lovely daughter is invited, as well."
Now Lissie was absolutely fuming, especially when Laurent accepted the invitation almost instantly without allowing Lissie get so much as a word in.
All the while Ambrose spares Lissie a quick, playful wink before taking his leave.
Fast forward three days - Christmas break
Lissie and Druella were sitting in a carriage, on their way to Avery Manor when suddenly Lissie's hair started rapidly changing different colors.
When Druella notices, her nose scrunches up in distaste, muttering something about how Lissie "needed to relax" and "get a grip on her emotions." Obviously she wasn't in the mood to deal with her sister's nerves.
At this point, Lissie just can't stop thinking of Ambrose, her mind spinning with images of the bastard: his captivating smile, both charming and mischievous, drove her absolutely insane. His self-assured, cocky demeanor was something he carried well, even if it vexed her to no end. And his eyes, the ones that would always lock on her whenever she entered a room Ambrose was in... she could get lost in them forever if only he'd let her.
Lissie feels her heart skip a beat and her palms starting to get clammy. She begins hyperfixating on her appearance, using over her now maroon-colored hair, using the carriage window's reflection as a way to check herself.
On the surface she didn't know why she was feeling this way, but deep down she knew that she was starting to care about what Ambrose thought of her appearance tonight.
Céléase wanted to be perfect for him, to have his approval, to impress him. Why? Because she was beginning to think that she had fallen for the man.
Druella rolls her eyes as Lissie struggles from holding back a few nervous snorts as her nose transforms into a pig's snout. "Céléase, control yourself," Ella chastised, sounding a bit too much like Eglantine for Lissie's liking.
