I always laugh

whenever I see the cutscene right before she fights Kraid. she enters the room on alert but as soon as she see that big goofy fuck she's like "oh ok this shit finna be easy" 😂

ik she gotta be so tired of his dumbass by now

this scene could only be improved if she directed an exasperated look directly into the camera like a mid 2000s sitcom

...ok it wouldn't actually improve the scene but I do think that it would be funny

A few months ago I restarted my old Metroid series starting with the original first entry: Ridley! I plan to keep this series going for a while and am currently working on Kraid and started sketching Trace! Keep an eye out or follow me on other platforms to stay updated because lets face it... i forget Tumblr exists.

Kraid's design in the original NEStroid is so cute. Since the newer design is the canon one now, maybe the original one can be what his species look like as babies (with Mini Kraid being either an older child or a young adult, it takes a while to grow that big).

So, behold this pile of Kraidlets.

With Kraid participating in the Metroid renaissance via Dread, I'm crossing fingers he'll show up in Beyond. It would be a change of pace from yet another Ridley fight, which is why Dread went that route; Plus it could be a way for Retro Studios to reimplement the Meta Kraid concept they had back with the first Prime game that started it all!!! And with in-game scans providing more room for lore, exposition, and characterization, we could use Space Pirate logs to flesh out Kraid's personality so he can have some much-needed characterization; Maybe not enough to catch up with his comrade Ridley, but it's something to start off with at least.
