Something I love about The Bear is how real the dialogue is. All the little stutters, the repetition, the hesitation, even the overuse of 'fuck'. It's not all perfect speeches and flawless communication. You can see the characters think, the way they stumble for the next thing to say. The chemistry is palpable because no one's trying to be clever. The ribbing is exactly the kind of thing I hear at work, amongst my friends. I love the way the characters bounce off of each other and the way their dynamic changes throughout the seasons. I love Jeff, I love fire, I love cousin, I love fuck and shit and asshole and all the stupid comebacks and inside jokes. I love how human they all are.

Thoroughly enjoyed and loved “Through the Darkness” and the production quality ⭐️ Fabulously performed, written and executed ✨👏🏽 (Special kudos to the actors performing the serial killers! They were skillfully villainous and horrifying!) 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Especially loved the filter/colours and the angling of the shots - which reminded me quite a bit of “The Guest” in terms of angles and staging choices - and how wonderfully they utilised that technique to make scenes more intimate and poignant, to highlight the stark - or stoically accepting - emotions of the characters��️ The clean and “simple” framings were simply fantastic!

Loved all the characters and particularly supporting character journalist-Chae 😍🤩 So pretty and principled❤️‍🔥

But what is it with SBS crime dramas and their characters’ un-shippable vibes? 😅🤔 To paraphrase the title of a fascinating article, “Everyone is Beautiful and an ‘Aroace’ Super-workaholic”! (“Everyone is Beautiful and No One is Horny” by Blood Knife)

(Except for our illustrious Team Leader Kook, who was canonically, happily married - offscreen - with children! A rarity these days). Not saying that is an issue per se, but give this pathetic shipping fangirl some crumbs somewhere?!

I wanted to ship someone so badly - for headcanon’s sake - but they made it so difficult 🤪🧐 (Not that I watched these type of shows - I know there will be none - for the romance/chance at shipping but still…)

I encountered this similar problem with “Nobody Knows”, and I am quite sure the performers not being my preferences (or fanciable to me) is NOT the only reason I had a hard time trying to come up with shipping feels, because I had a bit of shipping fun - as ephemeral as it was - with “The Good Detective” and most of the performers were not inspiring much feels either, but I still definitively shipped them while watching the drama. That said, I much prefer TtD as a show than TGD though both are excellent in different ways.

Ah, made me miss “The Guest” and the feels - and fixation - they inspired and provoked ❤️‍🔥😭 Also made me appreciate and thankful for the production even more each turn❣️ (I love TG for the writing, commentaries and stories too, not just the “other things” 😅🥰🥹☺️)

hey man. you know what. school finally did it. made me watch a movie that i liked. enjoyed even. would 100% watch again. all it took was a two and a half hour surrealist adaptation of titus andronicus

#really fucking good actually. liked it a lot #movie was really well done cinematography was super interesting #julie taymor's directorial style is so fascinating #having seen this and her stage adaptation of midsummer night's i am. interested. what a mind #loved the focus on the grandson though that was a really cool way to frame it #and the horrific visuals especially when it came to lavinia combined with the artistry of the film itself #the balance of the comedy with Such horror and tragedy was really well-suited to the surrealist way that she does things i think #unfortunately this is a movie that i doubt many people would watch with me dsfjghdf #hey bracken. what do you want to watch #either a muppet movie or an adaptation of the shakespeare play that's so gruesome people doubt he even wrote it?#okay. do you have Anything inbetween #valentine notes #academia

years later and i can still safely say the walking dead season 7 premier remains one of the best crafted episodes of television i’ve ever seen

#it is hands down the most traumatising thing i’ve ever watched #the acting from all of them is sublime #but especially andrew lincoln and lauren cohan #the music is devastating and gorgeous #the cinematography is beautiful even when its gruesome #they made up for the poorly timed cliffhanger of the s6 finale by giving us a brutal and emotional premier #i cannot stress enough how much i love that episode #and that is even though it killed my favourite character in the most brutal way #that’s how fucking good it is that i still adore it #the walking dead #twd

its been months and i really am past the point of debating whether mike was intentionally lying in the monologue or not cause ultimately it just doesn’t really matter in the bigger picture and isn’t what we should be asking ourselves constantly...the whole point was the context in which it happened and how he was propelled into doing it. it would have never happened without will’s tiny little “you’re the heart” motivational push. it wouldn’t have happened without the crucial role of the painting or the van scene beforehand and that should be enough proof it was never meant to be viewed as a fully genuine expression of feelings lmfao

#im not going to go into a tangent explaining this in detail again cause ive already done that before #but yeah ive just been seeing posts going around about it lately #especially about the love at first sight part...which should be obvious to everyone that it wasnt true #but i just feel like we’re thinking a little too hard about this when probably the point really was that he was just rambling #and saying whatever came to mind and what he thought el needed to hear #so the nitty gritty details of what he said arent what the duffers put a lot of thought into #they put more thought into the cinematography and the atmosphere and the way the monologue is happening within the plot #as in the vibes of it being more horror movie-ish instead of romantic and will constantly being in the background #the focus on mike being the heart & how its connected to will’s perspective of him rather than anything substantial to mlvn’s relationship #byler
