where they go out for a walk to smoke.

Working at Sakamoto's store meant no smoking inside, and even though Shin was starting to get over his habit of smoking, sometimes he really needed to take a break and let the smoke fill his lungs.

So, times like this when he was too stressed, he went out to walk around the neighborhood and smoke by the way. It wasn't something uncommon, just that this time, reader was with him.

Both of them were walking without rush, submerged in a comfortable silence until all of sudden, reader took the cigarette off his fingers and brought it to her mouth, taking a drag and calmly exhaling the smoke. Just like it was the most common thing in the world.

"What are you doing?" The former assassin asked, slightly taken aback.

"Uh.. smoking?" she replied sarcastically, although she had a faint amused smile on her face.

he give her a deadpan look "If you didn't tell me, I wouldn't realize, really" he said in the same sarcastic tone "I mean, why did you take my cigarette? besides... since when do you smoke?" He asked in desbelief, ignoring the tickling in his stomach as he watched her smoke so naturally the cigarette that had been on his lips seconds before.

He felt the tip of his ears go warm, a familiar sensation though.

She simply shrugged 'because I wanted to' she replied in her mind while taking another drag. Shin shot a glare at her and she almost chocked with the smoke as she laughed. "And.. I smoke since..a year ago? I don't really know when I started" she said shrugging simply.

He just let out a smooth "oh" and looked back at his path, he was about to say something when he felt her elbowing him to get his attention.

"Wanna see a trick?" She asked, still with the cigarette in her mouth, while a smile formed at the corner of her lips.

Shin raised an eyebrow "a trick? Eh... yeah, sure" he said. She smiled and took a deep drag from the cigarette, then she let out the smoke that formed into a heart-shape before disappearing slowly in the air around them.

"Cool, isn't it?" She said with a proud smile.

Shin's eyes widened in surprise, he wasn't prepared to witness such a simple yet attractive trick. His heart did a somersault as the heart-shaped smoke floated in the air before disappearing.

A hint of a smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he nodded in approval.

"Yeah...it's cool." He said, trying to sound nonchalant when in reality he was secretly swooning.

"I know" she replied with a cocky smile, before taking a last drag to then return the cigarette to it's original owner, Shin whispered a "thanks" and brought it back to his lips.

'Technically this counts as an indirect kiss,' she thought, in such a natural way that it puzzled Shin in many ways, he looked at her in a.. different kind of way, of course she noticed his gaze lingering on her face but she decided to ignore it as they continued walking, her eyes were fixed on the road.

Shin felt his heart skip a beat, as a new feeling settled in his chest, it was strange... but warm, and familiar. He looked back to the front, and neither of them spoke again. He had decided not to comment on her thoughts, and she thanked him inwardly.

A comfortable silence enveloped them again, and luckily, Shin wouldn't know the way her heart almost leaped out when a few moments ago, Shin's piercing eyes fixed on her lips, causing a sensation similar to the one he had experienced.

Maybe they should go on more getaways like this to smoke, maybe it would end very well for both of them.

(Btw I don't even know if it's possible to make a heart-shape out of cigarette's smoke but let's pretend that it's physically possible)
