Some of Yves Kloss’ best quotes
Tumblr media
"He caaaaaaaaame! " (—Yves screaming about Clavis)
"You're the most common commoner I've ever seen. You have no redeeming features to speak of. Why should I accept someone like that?"
"Choosing me shows how sophisticated you are. You won't regret it." (—Yves' changing route quote)
"Y-You call that a CAKE...?" (—Yves reacting to Clavis' gift)
"If this shameless behavior goes on any longer, you’ll find out what happens if you test my patience. I suggest that you don’t." (—Yves defending Emma in front of a noblewoman that bullied her)
"ExCUSE me? What on earth are you doing hiding in my closet?!"
"Excuse me? And why not?! I’m going to tell everyone, so we can figure out how best to punish her for what she did to you! (…) Huh?! Hey, no, you’ve got it all wrong! This isn’t kindness! I just know I’d end up with the worst stomachache if something happened to you because of me!" (—Yves defending Emma)
"Why should you have to be the one to carry such a heavy burden? This is a problem between two nations. It’s not the sort of thing a simple, kind-hearted woman like yourself needs to get involved in."
"…Emma really is amazing. I could never do anything like that. I always wanted to be a bridge that could bring Obsidian and Rhodolite together… But I was despised just for being half-Obsidianite, and I accepted it all, like it was completely normal. I never did a single thing to actually improve the relationship between our countries. I didn’t even think I could. It takes courage and resolve to approach someone when you’re completely at odds with them. It’s not easy, not in the slightest. I bet it’s left Emma in tears countless times. But even so, she’s still here now, holding her head high and taking that first step towards peace. She really is… amazing. (…) She’s so beautiful it’s dazzling. (…) I’ve spent my whole life with my head down, seeing nothing but the ground at my feet. I really need to change—I need to learn from her example." (—Yves talking about Emma to Leon)
"Fhwhwh...?! Oh my god. How is my little brother this adorable?!" (—Yves talking about Licht)
"Know this: Yves Kloss loves you, and he's always thinking about you. There's not a day you're not in his thoughts."
"You do realize you're pretty, no matter what?"
"For the record? Each time you make me happy, I swear I'll make you even happier."
"H-Hey... Have you really not noticed that I, Yves Kloss, am waiting for the right moment to talk with you?"
"U-Um, Emma... Don't tell me you're... with both of them...?" (—Yves talking about Emma holding Gilbert's and Clavis' hands)
"Just the thought of being tossed into a den full of women sends a shiver up my spine..."
"Did you just say... LOVE?!" (—Yves to Licht and Leon)
"I guess you captivated me. You were always striving to be perfect, and... that's the Emma I fell in love with."
"Y-You think you can just be all cute and get away with it, huh?"
"Please don't cry, Emma. When you cry... my heart aches so badly I don't know what to do."
"I'm not a prince to be pitied. It doesn't matter if no one accepts me. The only one I need acceptance from is me. (...) It doesn't matter what other people say. What's the point, if you can't trust yourself, and believe in your own worth? Even if they trample you under their filthy, worn boots—so long as you hold your head high and believe in yourself, it'll only make you stronger."
"Okay, which of you gave Licht wine?! How many times have I told you not to?!"
"There are so many people in the world who hate me. But... I hate me more than any of them."
"Aww, Licht, don't be so down. Failure is an unavoidable part of cooking!" (—Yves reassuring a sulking Licht)
"I'm never making dessert for any of you ever again!! You're all horrible and you can eat dirt for all I care!"
"I am NOT a cat!!!"
"...I know that kindness of yours is probably a virtue, but I can't help worrying that you're going to kindness yourself to death one day."
"What? No! I didn't meow. Why on earth would I meow?!"
"You're my goddess of happiness. I... thank you for coming, Emma."
"He's such a brazen fool! Not a principled bone in his body, and he's incorrigible to boot!" (—Yves talking about Nokto)
"Listen, you didn't hear this from me, but... Licht made almost five hundred attempts before he baked an edible batch of cookies. (...) That boy really loves you a lot. So much that it gives me heartburn just thinking about it."
"I often get told that I don't have luck. But when I talk to you, I feel like my life isn't all that bad."
"I hope she comes soo... WAHH! W-Warn me when you come!"

Little Miss Imperfect
Part 5
Daichi x Chubby!Manager!Reader
1007 words
T.W. Alcohol
Note: I'm sorry this took a while, aside from my classes my family is moving to a new city next week so we're slowly getting things prepped for the move, and stuff for my new school aside from my extra curriculars I'm sorry for the really long wait, yet again we're back
Tumblr media
That afternoon, practice started as usual with y/n and Kiyoko helping out with the drills and other materials needed. Suga sighed as he elbows Daichi lightly. "So how's Mister Lover coming along?" He chuckles hearing his best friend muse. Deciding to ignore the statement, he runs back to his drills glancing at the younger manager. She was taking notes at the sidelines of each members progress as if nothing ever happened. The noise of volleyball shoes slipping on the floor, followed by balls getting hit one after the other. The constant talking of Coach Ukai helping the boys out was also to be heard. Y/N was watching over the 2 first years bicker about sets once again. She smiled looking at them, these boys were practically her family, seeing them like this together even if it was for club activities were fun. Despite it being noisy all around, it was peaceful for her. An oasis far from her troubles. She noticed someone glancing at her from afar, she looked right back at him. Daichi.... She had to give her answer, she knew what to say, she just didn't know how to.
Coach Ukai then clapped his hands "Alright guys round up." He called unto them for final announcements as the 2 managers also did so to report the new progress. They soon ended the briefing and headed out. "Uhm, Daichi San, can we talk after you guys change?" She asked as she went up to him. Daichi halts as he looks at her a smile creeping up his face as he nods quickly running up to the club room to change.
---
As he walks down now ready to head home. "So what's up?" She holds unto her bag sheepishly. She blushes as she grins, "Senpai can I walk you home?" He chuckles scratching the back of his head. This is new. "Shouldn't it be the other way around?" She grins as she walks ahead "can't I return the favor for last night?" She chuckles her blushing face away. Despite the heat of summer, the nights were a bit more chilly. They walked home side by side, living only a block away from each other. The streets were silent as they walked side by side, only with the sounds of crickets or occasional barking of dogs or meowing of cats. They both walked in the silence, embracing it. Taking a deep breath from the chilly night she paused on her tracks gripping her bag a little tighter. Daichi noticed the pause looking back at her. "Senpai, I'll take up on that offer" she said to him, looking at him with glassy eyes. He smiles huffing out a laugh as he hugs her tightly. "Come to me when you need a breather." He smiles hugging her tightly. Another year drops as she hugs him back tightly. A new feeling coils at her stomach. A feeling foreign to her yet one she welcomes with a hug. A feeling of warmth so great, a few droplets of tears roll from her eyes. The feeling of home.
It's been a week since the two started opening up, Y/N slowly told her about her past, how both her parents died and why her brother had to work in a different city. Daichi sat in y/n's room to talk about some strategies she came up with for the match upcoming. As she used the toilet, he noticed the amount of sticky notes plastered on the wall by her bed and her desk. There was one drawer left open, curious he debates whether he should check it out. 'she is taking her sweet time in the bathroom, one peek won't hurt.... right?' his curiosity fights him 'no, Daichi that's her privacy you shouldnt-' a few seconds pass by as he gets up from her bed to peek at the open drawer at her desk. He opens it a bit more to reveal what was inside. To his surprised, his face turns white to see the 2 bottles of liquor she didn't throw before he arrived as well as the box of cigarettes and a lighter. His breath spikes as he quickly shut the drawer almost slamming it running back to sit on the bed. He panics despite knowing this already. He jolts hearing the door open to see her carrying a tray of snacks. "Hey, sorry I decided to fetch some snacks for us." She chuckles lightly pushing the door open with her knee. He clears his throat smiling trying to forget everything he just saw in that drawer. She places the snack tray on the coffee table in the middle of her room opening up her notebook for each member's progress as well as her laptop showing some stuff she saw online that deemed useful. They discussed back and forth yet his mind was still stuck on what was in that drawer. "Since when did she start? I get why her problems started but why?" After their talk, he decided to try and brush it off as he arrived home.
--- a few weeks later ---
It was exam week, the busiest times for students, especially third years. With exams and college exams to study for, not to mention volleyball, Daichi scratches his head as he studies in his room.
*RING RING*
His phone starts ringing as he studies. Annoyed he shuts it off, hiding it in his drawer to focus. It continues to ring, the vibrations from his phone getting louder. He scratches his head as he taps his pen on his notebook getting annoyed. Deciding to turn it on "do not disturb" mode, continuing his studies. An hour later he decides to check his phone.
(10 missed calls from y/n)
(5 unread messages from y/n)
Panic filled his mind as he opened the messages. Why was she calling.
Y/N: Daichi help me
Y/N: I'm scared
Y/N: My Brother just came home he's gonna do something again
Y/N: Daichi please help me
Y/N: Daichi-senpai

▬▬  Phone call Confession - Yang Jungwon
Tumblr media
PAIRING. Jungwon x reader
GENRE. fluff // friends to lovers // drabble
WC. 900+
WARNINGS. not proofread
SYNOPSIS. Yang Jungwon stood up his best friend of seven years, y/n after telling you he had something important to tell you. After you start thinking of worst case scenarios through phone call, he blurts out that he likes you. How do you respond to his genuine confession?
Tumblr media
You raised your brow as you looked at the watch on your wrist. It was almost an hour past the time Jungwon had asked you to meet him and you weren’t going to lie, you were getting pretty full from just drinking water. You didn't order anything, wanting to wait for your best friend to get there and help you decide what to try.
You tried texting him multiple times, but you were left with no answer. You weren’t exactly mad, but more worried about the fact that this was nothing like Jungwon. He isn’t the type of person to stand someone up, especially you. He was the one that said he had to tell you something really important and to meet him here.
You tapped your nails against the table and you rested your head on your other hand. You jumped when there was a sudden vibration coming from your back pocket along with Jungwon’s meow ringtone. You hurriedly opened the message for Jungwon to say, “I’m so sorry...I lost the courage. Can we talk on the phone?”
“Why didn’t you tell me this like an hour and a half ago?” You said to yourself before rolling your eyes.
You called the waiter over and ordered food to go. You grabbed the food’s to go bags and put your phone to your ear, calling Jungwon, who took a few rings to answer.
“Y/n?” Jungwon answered, voice quiet and shaky.
“Yeah, Jungwon? Sooo, you stood me up?” You asked as you started your walk home. It was already almost dark and there were only just a few twinkling stars in the sky.
“Y/n, I’m so sorry. I really wasn’t planning on it. I kept trying to force myself to open the door to the restaurant over and over again and ugh, I just couldn’t.” He apologized, sighing loudly into the phone’s speaker.
“Wait, so you mean to tell me you were at the restaurant and you didn't come in?!”
“I wanted to, but-”
“What are you so nervous to tell me, Jungwon? Are you going off to the military? Or did you find a girlfriend? Or are you going to study overseas? Oh my gosh, or are you not wanting to be friends with me anymore?” You asked, going through any of the situations that he could’ve been in.
“No! No!” He said louder than you think he intended, “No, it’s nothing like that, I promise.”
“Then what is it? Cause I have no idea.”
You heard him take a deep breath from the other side, “Y/n, I...I like you.”
You froze in your footsteps. Your best friend and crush of seven years just told you that they liked you, but you didn’t know how to react. Was he messing around with you? Was he testing you? But he wasn’t really that type of person. He sounded completely serious.
“Y/n?” He asked when you didn’t say anything for several seconds, “Hello?”
You laughed, “Of course you do! In a sister-brother kind of way? In a friend kind of way? Or a...” you quietened your voice, just so it was barely audible, but Jungwon heard it, “Or in a more kind of way?”
“In a more kind of way...” He replied confidently, “And I already prepared myself for rejection, but please don’t be so harsh. I don’t know how much I can handle right now. And I never ever want to ruin our friendsh-”
“Jungwon, are you at home?”
“Yeah?”
You hung up the call and dashed to your best friend’s house, which wasn’t far away at all, allowing the cold air to bite at your cheeks and heels to increasingly make your feet and legs ache.
You rung the doorbell, taking deep breaths, silently cursing at yourself for being so out of shape.
The door swung open, revealing Jungwon wearing his black sweatpants and oversized white T-shirt with wide cat eyes, “Y/n, what are you doing here?” He asked, pulling you inside from the cold air.
You let out a small laugh, but it sounded more like a pant due to your current state, “I brought food. And...” You paused for a few gulps of air, “ I like you too....In a more kind of way.”
His lips lifted upward as he stepped closer to you, “Aigoo, what are we going to do about you?” He squished your cold cheeks turning you into a fish for a moment before you slapped his hands away.
“You must have run so much to come see me.” He teased before throwing you a blanket, “Warm up before you actually get sick.”
“I have a strong immune system, don’t worry about me.”
“Don’t lie to me. I know how often you get sick. Your nickname in school was even ‘Sicko'’” He rolled his eyes at your lie and you scrunched your face up, annoyed by the fact that he knew everything about you, “You probably didn’t eat, right?”
“Who says I didn’t? When you didn’t come, I ate to my heart’s content.” You lied, crossing your arms, putting your nose up in the air.
“Childish.” He whispered to himself with a chuckle, “Then why did you order food to go?”
“For you!” You blurted out.
“So much?” He opened the containers of food, “And I see a lot of your favorites here...Are you sure you ate?” He laughed.
“Okay okay, whatever. I couldn’t get myself to eat without you. I really thought you would come.”
Jungwon placed down the chopsticks he had originally picked up, “I’m sorry...”
“No, you’re okay! We can eat now. Consider this our first date even though we’ve done this so many times before.” Your cheeks lifted up as you smiled at him.
“Our first date, May 15th...”

Grandpa
Sugar mama Lin Beifong x sugar baby reader
Summary: you tell Lin & Miyuki more about your home life
Lin and I went to get Miyuki a cat tree. We didn’t bring her because we knew she would scratch at them. I picked a pink tree because it had little sitting spots and a little hole for her to hide in. I bought it myself. I didn't let Lin buy it. When we got home Lin put the tree up in the living room and Miyuki was confused. “This is your tree.” I told her. She turned her head then looked at me. “It’s ok. Go play.” I said and patted the tree. Miyuki walked over to it and sniffed it. She jumped on to it.
The phone started ringing and I went to answer it. “Hello.” I said. I heard the voice on the other end. It was my grandpa. “Oh grandpa, hello! I’m doing good, how are you?” I asked. “Grandpa?” Lin asked. “Hmm. I don’t want to be bothered with her.” I told him. Miyuki meowed. “I’ll think about it. I’ll talk to you later. I love you.” I said then hung up. “Grandpa?” Lin asked and Miyuki meowed. “Yes grandpa. What’s the problem?” I asked. “You’ve just never mentioned him.” Lin said. “Oh. Well, where do you think I got the money to take care of myself before you?” I asked.
“I don’t know.” Lin said. “Well yeah my grandpa spoils his grandchildren because he knows our parents are shit so he spoils us to make up for it.” I said. “What did he want?” Lin asked. “He wants me to go visit my mom.” I said. “And you don’t want to?” Lin asked. “Not really.” I said. “Why?” Lin asked. “We already don’t talk much so it’s just weird.” I said. Lin nodded. “But like I said I’ll think about it but I don’t know.” I said. “I’ll come with you.” Lin said. “I don’t want you meeting my mother.” I said. “Why?” Lin asked.
“Her and I aren’t close so it just doesn’t feel right for her to meet someone so special to me.” I said. “I suppose that’s understandable.” Lin said. I nodded. “What about your grandparents?” Lin asked. “Hmm probably but that’s if grandpa invites us over.” I said. “Why wouldn’t he invite us over?” Lin asked. “Because grandpa has a hard time looking at his grandchildren.” I said. “What do you mean?” Lin asked. “Like I said he knows how our parents treat us so he struggles to look at us because he hates that he knows our treatment but does nothing about it.” I said.
“Why doesn’t he do anything?” Lin asked. I shrugged. “I wish I knew but like I said he makes up for it in money and treats us well as best as he can.” I said. “Even your brother?” Lin asked. “Oh fuck no.” I said. Lin chuckled. “He despises my brother. He knows how spoiled and fucked up he is.” I said. Lin nodded. “I’d run that fucker over with a truck if I could, but anyways yeah grandpa doesn’t take care of him.” I said. “You can’t run him over, you’ll go to jail.” Lin said. “I can hire a good lawyer.” I said. Lin sighed. “Honey please.” Lin said. “I said what I said. He deserves it.” I said.
Miyuki meowed. “Exactly Miyuki gets it.” I said. “Do you ever call your sister?” Lin asked. “No.” I said. “Why?” Lin asked. “We just don’t. I think it’s just hard for us to do.” I said. “That’s understandable.” Lin said. “Yeah, I always hope she’s ok and I did tell her before I left if she ever needs me come find me in Republic City.” I said. “Do you think she’ll ever find you?” Lin asked. “If dad makes her get married she will.” I said. “What if she’s afraid to leave?” Lin asked. “Not my sister. I didn’t raise her that way.” I said. “You didn’t raise her that way?” Lin asked.
“Yeah. I raised my sister her mother was fucking terrible when her son came around so I took care of her. I brushed her hair, I fed her, I dressed her, I made sure she was smart. I had to talk her through her first period! The girl thought she was dying. I mean I did too when I had my first period but it’s whatever.” I said. “How old were you?” Lin asked. “I was eight or nine taking care of her and myself.” I said. “You also say her mother.” Lin said. “We don’t share a mom, only a father.” I said. “Is that why you don’t want to see your mom because she wasn’t there for you?” Lin asked. “Kinda yeah.” I said.
“Why wasn’t she there?” Lin asked. “You’re asking a lot of questions.” I said. “I just wanna know you more.” Lin said. Miyuki meowed in agreement. “Fuck yall anyways her and I use to live together but once she found out I was a fire bender she thought it was best for me to live with my dad.” I said. “Your mom is a non bender?” Lin asked. I nodded. “Got anymore questions?” I asked. “What else can I ask?” Lin asked. “Whatever you want.” I said and sat down on the bed. “How did your mom react when you started fire bending?” Lin asked.
“Oh she was terrified but once she calmed down she said it was best to go live with dad who I hadn’t seen in forever because he can help me be a better fire bender.” I said. “Why was she terrified?” Lin asked. “Well when you live in the North Pole it isn’t great to be a fire bender.” I said and laughed. “You lived in the North Pole?” Lin asked. “Yup. My mom raised me there till I was eight. That's when I was shipped off to my dad and then I had to take care of my six year old sister that I didn’t even know I had.” I said. “You didn’t know about her?” Lin asked. “No. When she saw me she hated me because that made her the middle child and it also meant she was no longer the only girl.” I said.
“How old was your brother?” Lin asked. “He was four when I got there.” I said. “Did you have to take care of him?” Lin asked. “Oh fuck no his mother didn’t want us anywhere near him. That was her precious baby so she took care of him while I took care of myself and my sister.” I said. “Did you ever see your mom?” Lin asked and sat next to me. “Sometimes but I remember I usually would sit outside in the snow to be away from her because even when I would tell her how bad dad was she said that’s just fire bending training and that I’m exaggerating because I’m a child.” I said.
Lin scoffed. “I got to meet grandpa when I was sixteen and he loved his girls but despised my brother and I remember also around that age my father was in talks with my future husband.” I said. “He was gonna marry you off at sixteen?” Lin asked. “No no he was gonna marry me off at eighteen but he was just talking to the guy and planning out how this was gonna work, because grandpa was still not gonna give him any money. He noticed my father hadn’t changed and we girls were being mistreated so he didn’t give him shit but he gave us money. He set up money accounts for us that we couldn’t touch till we were adults. When I turned eighteen I was allowed to touch the money and it was a lot so I took it and ran and never looked back.” I said.
“So your sister must have touched her money and must be fine. She’s an adult now.” Lin said. “Maybe. I’m not sure I can only hope.” I said. “How do you think your brother is doing?” Lin asked. “He’s probably still thinking he’s hot shit.” I said and rolled my eyes.

This is my very first post on Tumblr. I wanted to start off my page by introducing you to my fur baby, who has since crossed the rainbow bridge. I wanted to spread awareness about the potential disease that took his life. Note that I am not a veterinarian and the diagnosis was never confirmed.
On September 2nd, 2024, I met Geralt at my uncle’s house while we were drafting for our fantasy football league. I have three cats, a dog, and a turtle. I wasn’t originally going to take this little guy home. However, you see the cute pic of him snuggled up? That’s him on my chest the day we met, he came to me on his own volition. He climbed onto my chest and fell right asleep, in that moment, I knew he was meant to be my baby.
I had Geralt for ten days.
On September 12th, it was a normal morning. He slept with me as usual, he screamed at me for not giving him attention. He was just fine, acting like a kitten. The only thing he had going on was diarrhea, which I treated him for worms, and I figured it might’ve been him adjusting to the new food as well. Other than that, he was a normal kitten. I got up to take a bath around 11 in the morning, and when I returned I couldn’t find him. I asked my partner where he was and he told me he got up and hid in a corner between the wall and my dresser. I found him, laying limp. It wasn’t unusual for him to hide in that corner, but he was face-down. I picked him up, thinking he was just sleeping. He meowed at me, and I gently set him down on the bed, but then I noticed something out of the ordinary. He was paralyzed in his rear legs. I thought maybe it was small, so I called the vet and the told me it wasn’t a life or death situation and they would get back to me to get him in later that day after their staff meeting. Quickly after, he became fully paralyzed, and I called my brother crying because I had no money to help him. So my brother came over and we rushed him to the shelter to see if he was stable enough to go to the hospital the next city over. They said he wouldn’t make the drive and they suggested we take him to the hospital down the road. So we rushed there, where the doctors were all on lunch. I begged them to give him oxygen because at the shelter, his paralysis improved, he was gaining motion again. At the shelter, they tested him for Feline Panleukopenia Virus (FPV), which to put it simply is “parvo” in cats. It affects the nervous system and gastrointestinal lining. He came back negative, but they told me that even if the results were negative there was still a possibility he had it. I gave this info to the vet hospital we took him to. They told us to sit down and wait for the doctor to come back from lunch, so we did. Not very long after, my poor boy opened his mouth wide and started gasping for air. I was already hysterical, but it made me even more when I saw the state he was in. He was actively dying in my arms. The vet tech ran out to grab the vet in the parking lot, where she rushed in and they took him to the back. Moments later, the doctor came back and told me the odds of him living weren’t good. I begged her to do what she could, but she explained to me he was so dehydrated that it was beyond a clinical level. She said she could try to give him IV fluids and corn syrup on his gums to raise his blood sugar, and send us to the hospital in the next city. But, she didn’t think he would make the 45 minute drive. She said the best course of action was to euthanize him because she guessed he had a 1% survival and life-saving efforts would just prolong any potential suffering. I at first refused and told her I wanted to try the fluids and the corn syrup, but she brought me back to reality that even trying those, he wasn’t going to survive. I made the selfless decision and gave them permission to put him to sleep without any tests ran, without any effort. When I said my goodbyes, he was dying in front of me, he was barely conscious. I was screaming and crying, apologizing to him, and telling the vet tech I didn’t do this to him, I got him that way. I was irrational and confused and didn’t know what to do. My brother tried comforting me and saying it wasn’t my fault. They guessed he was born with FPV because his mother wasn’t vaccinated, so he contracted it through utero.
At 1:18 pm, my beautiful boy crossed over the rainbow bridge. I kissed his face and scratched his ears, while he peacefully ran into my late Nana’s arms in the afterlife. My brother said in his last moments, he used all the strength he had left in him to lean into me when I gave him kisses and all the lovin’s he could ask for. He died loved that day, but he also took a piece of my heart and soul with him.
We took him home to my mom’s garden where I tucked him in the ground after cradling him, cherishing my last moments with his physical body.He was tucked in my favorite shirt, just like I would with our blue blanket every night so that he would have me with him for eternity.
Since then, I have been broken to pieces and trying to find answers of what caused him to abruptly be sick. I’ve researched and researched and it was no comfort. I just want closure.
I miss my baby boy, and people think it’s weird I’m grieving a pet like I would a human, but Geralt was special in some way I can’t put my finger on.
As much as this pains me, this post is intended to remember my sweet boy. I also intend to spread awareness on why it is important to vaccinate your pets. I will never know for certain what he was sick with, it could have been completely different than what the vets thought. But please vaccinate your pets and seek medical treatment for them if they have persistent diarrhea and it’s the only symptom. His dehydration was a contributing factor despite how much water he drank. Diarrhea may seem like a small fix or make you assume worms like me. If I had sought out veterinary advise as soon as I took my boy home, I believe he would still be with me today.
Please research feline panleukopenia virus. With Geralt, he didn’t present symptoms of whatever his illness was until it was too late. Always get your babies tested and vaccinated because if you don’t think something like this can happen to you, your chances are greater than there is with vaccinated pets.
To my Geralt, I know you lived a short life and I like to think you picked me to live your last days full of love and comfort. I’m sorry couldn’t do more to save you, I will forever regret the things I never got to do for you. I will always wonder what life would be like if you stayed with me. But I know wherever you are, Nana is taking good care of you and I know you’re by my side in spirit. I miss you so much, my beautiful boy. I love you and I can’t wait until we meet again, for now I will live with you in my heart and I know you’ll be waiting on the other side of the rainbow bridge for me. ❤️🌈🐾

You KNOW I gotta do the "interactions every moon" thing now that I got the new Lifegen sooo
INTERACTIONS EVER MOON: SIBLING ADDITION
[...] --> indicates Storm (main character) responded.
Green --> Storm's response.
Purple --> mentions another sibling.
MOON 1 (AGE 0)
Petalkit (sister): Stormkit shivers at the breeze. Despite their small size and young age, Petalkit notices. "MEOW!" Their father, Mistlebat, looks at the kit and sees her pointing at Stormkit with her little paw. Mistlebat pulls them both closer.
Creekkit (sister): Falls into a slumber next to Stormkit.
Primkit (brother): Let's out an annoyed squeak when Stormkit flops on him.
.
MOON 2 (AGE 1)
Petalkit: "Stormkit! I was just wondering, where did you get your shiny pebble? The one that sits in your nest--Sorry, I was having a peak but there was this weird shiny thing that just....Y'know, was shiny." [....] "Near the stream, you mean out of camp? Dang it!" [....] "Wait, you'll get me one? Thank you, Stormkit!"
Petalkit has wasting disease.
Creekkit: "Stormkit, family means forever, right? We're always gonna be together? We're not gonna turn out like those siblings that fight all the time and stop liking each other, are we?"
["Of course not!"]
"Heh. Of course not. It was silly of me to even ask. Why would I ever stop liking you?"
Primkit: "Stormkit! Do you think I could climb up that big rock wall up there? What do you think is on the other side? Maybe it's that thing that turns cats into leaders, like when Riverstar bested that evil old cat! You know that one? I think it's the one Sablestar used. Maybe I'll ask him about it."
Slightly changed.
.
MOON 3 (AGE 2)
Petalkit: "Sorry, did you say something?"
["No."]
"No? Oh--But, hold up, I have a question. What do you think of Primkit? Out of curiousity?"
["Tacky."]
"Tacky? Yeah, me too. Thought I was the only one."
Creekkit: "Hey, Stormkit, can I share some of me fabulous wisdem?" [....] "Okay, get ready to have your mind--uh....explosion! Ahem, if you don't know what that bug is or didn't like it the first time, don't eat it."
Primkit: Compares the size of his paws with Petalkit. "Mine are bigger! Mine are totally bigger than yours! Heehee!"
Maybe Petalkit was mad and called him tacky for that.
.
MOON 4 (AGE 3)
Petalkit: [Stormkit watches as Petalkit chases her tail while Creek and Prim laugh hysterically].
Creekkit: "Stormkit. Buddy. Best friend. We've GOTTA try this. Fernroot told me that if you eat three mice, one rabbit, and howl at the moon, you get magic powers!" [....] "What? It's totally real, he wouldn't lie to me like that! I prommissseee."
Primkit: "Stormkit, Mistlebat says it's my turn with the mossball! You have to give it back!" [....] "Come onnnnn!" [....] "Hmph. That's it, I'm gonna tell on you!"
.
MOON 5 (AGE 4)
Petalkit: DIED FROM COMPLICATIONS CAUSED BY WASTING DISEASE.
Creekkit: Creekkit ignores Stormkit at first. Stormkit nudges her to get her attention. "Oh, Stormkit! I'm so sorry! It's just that...Look at this bug I found! I want to give him a name, but I've been thinking all day and just don't know! I was thinking of naming him Dasherbug. Oh, or Dancerbug! Or Prancerbug, or maybe Vixenbug...."
Note: I imagine that Creekkit was thinking about Petalkit, and made up the bug thing on the spot so that she didn't have to talk about it.
Primkit: "Stormkit! Stormkit!" [....] What do you think of this cool stick I found? I bet I could rule the entirety of RiverClan with it! Or even ShadowClan! Or every Clan in the WORLD! Woah, what if I could even rule all the Twolegs in the world, so they have to do everything I tell them?"
.
MOON 6 (AGE 5)
Petalkit: [Mistlebat, their father, tells a story about Petalkit to Stormkit].
Petalkit is sad about being apart from Mistlebat.
Creekkit: "Blackaster just told me the funniest joke ever! It went like--heehee--How did the--*snrk*--how did the--AHAHAHA!!!"
Primkit: "Stormkit! Stormkit! Stormkit! Stormkit! Stormkit!" [....] "...Hi!"
.
MOON 7 (AGE 6)
Stormpaw was attacked by a group of rats!
Petalpaw: Doesn't really understand what being in StarClan means.
Creekpaw: "Do you ever wonder what it's like up there? In StarClan, I mean. There must be loads of cats up there. Do you think they get any peace? Do they have camps? What about borders? I know they're said to be rather free-going and all, but I just sorta wonder....how do they manage it? I can barely handle staying in the apprentices' den since you and Primpaw are chattering on all the time! However they do it, they must be really patient and strong to handle all that chattering....."
Primpaw: "Oh, sorry, were you saving this shrew?" [Primpaw licks the entire shrew, then shoots Stormpaw a dirt-eating grin]. "Whoops. Guess it's mine now. Hehehe].
.
MOON 8 (AGE 7)
Creekpaw: "Hey, Stormpaw, what are we gonna do today?" [....] "What? You....need to get some chores done by yourself? Oh, okay....That's fine. I guess I'll find something else to do." [Creekpaw leaves so that Storm can work, tail drooping."
Note: After Petal and Prim died, Creekpaw wants to stick with her remaining family.
Primpaw: KILLED BY A FOX
.
MOON 9 (AGE 8)
Stormpaw recovered from the rat bites, but one of her legs is permentantly weakened, not helped by her already twisted foot she had from birth.
Creekpaw: "Ah--Hey, Stormpaw! Over here! Where have you been? I've been waiting for you to hit up the fresh-kill pile!....I'm so starving, I could eat a whole badger!" [....] "Ack, okay, that's kind of gross. Maybe not a badger, but like, a quail, or somthing. [The sisters chat happily as they grab food together].
.
MOON 10 (AGE 9)
Creekpaw: [Stares at her paws self-consciously after returning from a hunting patrol. Fernroot tries to reassure her, but Creek looks away]. "How am I ever gonna be a real warrior if I can't even catch my own prey?"
["Everyone struggles sometimes. You'll get it eventually, I'm sure of it!"]
"You're telling me you noticed I did bad on patrol?"
.
MOON 11 (AGE 10)
Creekpaw: [Stormpaw invites Creekpaw to sneak out at night together] "Erm...I think I'm okay. I'd prefer a quite night in, if that's alright with you. Make sure you're careful, though! I'll try and cover for you if you get caught, but, ah, no promises."
.
MOON 12 (AGE 11)
Creekpaw: [Stormpaw sneaks back to camp after a late night patrol, only to find Creekpaw waiting for her]. "Stormpaw! You're back! You were gone so long, I was starting to get worried....I thought you had been hurt, or gone missing, or--or--"
[Stormpaw presses into Creekpaw. "I'm alright."]
[Creekpaw presses againse her, still shaking with relief].
.
MOON 13 (AGE 12)
Creekpaw: "Hi, Stormpaw. I thought I heard someone talking about me earlier. Was it you? Did I do something wrong?"
.
MOON 14 (AGE 13)
Creekwater: "Ah, hey, Stormbright! Pretty nice out today, huh? [....] Wanna come soak up the rays with me? Gotta enjoy the sun while we still can. Pretty sure it's gonna rain tomorrow....See those clouds gatheirng? Ah....Gimme a second. Thinking about it too hard makes me dizzy."
.
MOON 15 (AGE 14)
Creekwater: [Anxiously scans the sky for hawks, fur bristling].
.
MOON 15 (AGE 14)
Creekwater: "Hi, Stormbright. I thought I heard someone talking about me earlier. Was it you? Did I do something wrong?"
.
MOON 16 (AGE 15)
Stormbright murdered Creekwater.
.
MOON 15 (AGE 14)
Stormbringer bargains with StarClan, begging them to give Creekwater back.

As is tradition since I think I started this account in 2012, I tend to do a post about all the more interesting things that happened in the year and what I hope happens in the next so...
Yeah.
Here we go.
Met David Tennant and got not only my photo taken with him and his signature, but I also got three hugs from him. He is a very lovely man, and gosh is he pretty in person. <3
Met Rhys Darby in person and made him burst out laughing when I told him I recognized him as the freaking Pistachio King from Milo Murphy's Law. He wasn't expecting that role of all things.
Last day of my trip for the con I discovered a lump on my chest that really hurt and for two and a half months I was stuck in a constant state of anxiety because they thought it was inflammatory breast cancer. Turns out it was just a really bad infection that had very similar symptoms.
Lost our oldest dog in October :(
My mom did get a pug puppy a few months beforehand tho, as she had been wanting a pug for years
Had probably one of the most absolutely obnoxious family reunions this year, but was able to go up into the mountains and had a lovely time in nature. And I got to pick huckleberries, which I've never done before. That was nice.
Went to Colorado and sat the Monsters of Metal tour's last show there, with Mastodon (third time seeing them) and Gojira (first time seeing them)
Had a fucking experience listening to The Chant live at that showing and it was just... impossible to describe. It was beautiful.
Went to the Devil's Tower on the way to Colorado, it was pretty dang cool. Lots of alien shit everywhere, the area really loves to play up on that. Also went to the Denver Zoo and Meow Wolf, both of which were delightful. :D
Went to my little brother's high school graduation, cannot believe he's out of high school.
Experienced season two of Good Omens and am still recovering.
I was there when EVERY happened, in just ten minutes it was known and then quickly NO LONGER SPOKEN ABOUT. That was a fun hour of panic from the fandom. :)
Watched OFMD season 2 and... eh.
Watched all four of the new Doctor Who specials when they dropped and now Fourteen and Fifteen are my favorite Doctors. I love them.
Had probably some of the most stressful months I've ever had with my job because we were down to just three people for a staff that is meant to run a home that is 24/7. I'm still dealing with the stress from it even after we got more people hired. My paychecks were beautiful tho, so much overtime...
Apparently I got a stress fracture on Thanksgiving, happened in my sleep. I should be out of the boot officially next week.
Participated in a David Tennant-themed zine
Absolutely dumb thing to add, but my mom got me a DT cutout who now lives in my room. He's wearing a paper crown from a Christmas cracker because he's a king Plans for the next year:
Going to see Hozier in August
Probably going to go back to Colorado, I want to see the aquarium
Going to ECCC for the third year in a row, going to get Jodie Whitaker's autograph
Hopefully I'll get to see my girlfriend again
Hopefully I'll get to finally see my best friends irl (We need to plan this better, guys!)
See if I can finally get my second tattoo

rereading ft, and i wanted to ask: do whitestorm and spottedpaw/leaf eventually talk about what thistleclaw did? whitestorm was visibly overwhelmed with emotion after his own father admitted to getting an apprentice pregnant; how could he process such a horrible reality? he wouldn’t have known *how* to bring it up to spottedpaw. i like to think they do talk about it at some point
I believe this is what you're looking for:
Chapter 111: A Sleeping Enemy? x3 (+1)
“Spottedleaf?”
Spottedleaf tilted her head as the white pelt of Whitestorm padded forth from the entrance. “Hello, Whitestorm,” she meowed.
“Bad dreams?” Whitestorm asked as he came to a stop beside her. His face furrowed with worry.
“Something like that,” Spottedleaf murmured. Whitestorm settled down beside her, gazing at her with concern.
“Are you alright?” Whitestorm questioned. “I can go get Brindleface if you need someone to talk to-”
“No, Whitestorm,” Spottedleaf chuckled. “That’s quite alright.”
“Oh,” Whitestorm said. “Do you… want me to stay? I can leave if you want to be in the clearing alone.”
“It’s alright, Whitestorm,” Spottedleaf told him. “I’m not afraid of you because you’re Thistlestar’s son, you know.”
“I never thought you were,” Whitestorm meowed. “Just… it can’t be nice to have me as a reminder. I look like him.”
“You look more like Snowfur,” Spottedleaf pointed out.
“But you never met Snowfur?”
“I’ve seen her in StarClan.”
“Oh.”
Spottedleaf chuckled. “Yes, oh. Now, why are you nervous?”
“What?” Whitestorm blinked at her, then scoffed. “I’m- I’m not nervous. I’m Whitestorm!”
“Yes, the strong and powerful warrior of ThunderClan.” Spottedleaf smiled. “You don’t often let yourself look nervous, these days. Yet you are now. Something’s troubling you. What is it?”
Whitestorm stared at his paws. “I’m alright,” he meowed. “Just… you’re right. I’m worried. Willowpelt’s given birth, and they’re wonderful, truly! But I can’t help but be concerned. I mean, Elderpaw and Tulippaw nearly died when they were kits. I know I only fathered them, but didn’t raise them, as Brindleface requested, but I still care for them. I don’t want anything bad to happen to my kits.”
“That’s normal,” Spottedleaf said. “New parents are often worried for their kits. A lot could go wrong. But they have the safety of the clan to protect them.”
“Yes, but…”
“But?” Spottedleaf pressed.
“But Bluestar hasn’t been herself lately,” Whitestorm sighed, and now Spottedleaf knew she had gotten to the root of the issue. “I know she’s on her last life, Spottedleaf, and I… I don’t know if I’m ready to let her go yet. Especially with ShadowClan’s illness on our border… and I do hope Copperleaf’s okay. But… But ever since Tigerclaw…” Whitestorm blinked, eyes misty. “I know he was always a bit… rough. But I never imagined my best friend would be capable of such treachery. He was like a brother to me. But he killed Redtail! He tried to kill Bluestar. I just can’t wrap my head around it.” He shook his head. “But I have to. For Fireheart. He’s doing a great job as deputy, really, Spottedleaf.” He blinked warmly at her. “He’s a great cat. I’ll be proud to call him leader one day. But he’s still young. And he has so many problems already… because of Thistlestar.” Whitestorm growled, eyes narrowed. “I have to keep myself calm and composed for Fireheart’s sake. For all of the Clan’s sake.”
“But not for me,” Spottedleaf meowed. “Or Willowpelt, or Brindleface. We’re all your friends.”
Whitestorm smiled. “Thank you. I’m glad we’re still friends. There was… I wish I had been more supportive, when you… when everything went down. But I had just been so shocked. I was worried you wouldn’t like me anymore. But I’m glad we found each other again. You’re a good friend, Spottedleaf.”
“You are too, Whitestorm,” she replied. “Don’t discredit yourself. You were one of the few who didn’t…” She closed her eyes, not wanting to remind herself of the fear and the terror she had felt as a young apprentice. It felt so long ago now. Her kits had grown.
And so had she.

Journey of Oak and Red || Chapter 3 || Warriors AU
Tumblr media
AU Prompt: Oakheart and Redtail survive the Battle for Sunningrocks, and leave the forest territories for a life out of Tigerclaw's threats.
Characters: Oakheart, Redtail, Panthereye, Dawnstar, Honeyflight, Mousepaw, Mintkit/paw
Warnings: mental break, description of death, loose description of panic attack
Author's Note: Panthereye is just getting aggressive 👀
Timeframe: About the end of Into the Wild, start of Fire and Ice
°°°
Redtail was lulling to sleep just outside of the warrior's den, when he felt a paw prod his side. His hazel eyes opened, to see Panthereye's blue eyes peering at him in the dark. "Crabstorm wants to see you?"
"Right now? At moonhigh?" Redtail yawned, "shouldn't he be asleep?"
"Well, not after who he just met." At the look in the she-cat's eyes, the tom jumped up to run into the priest's den. He heard Panthereye's pawsteps behind him as Crabstorm slowly looked up at his clanmates.
"Redtail," the brown tom meowed, his voice deep and harsh.
Was Tigerclaw here? Did he really hunt Redtail this far?
Crabstorm dipped his paw into the moonpool between him and Redtail, Panthereye sitting to the side of the two toms. The water ripped to reveal a spotted tortoiseshell she-cat Redtail recognised instantly. "You didn't tell your sister you were leaving...?"
"Spottedleaf..."
"Tigerclaw said you drowned," the she-cat's voice echoed. "He said that Oakheart pushed you into the river, knowing you can't swim. So he drowned Oakheart in the river. As soon as I came to StarClan, our mother told me you weren't here. Neither was Oakheart."
The fox-pelt like tom lowered his head, crouching beside the water. "I pushed Oakheart towards the lake, but I tripped- lost my footing on the riverbank."
"You tripped, or you lost your footing?" Panthereye spoke up, her blue eyes staring at Redtail. "Sounds like you don't know what happened."
She thinks Tigerclaw will come for her clan if he finds out I'm here. "No, I tripped. I tripped on something and fell in the river. Oakheart fought with me underwater before we both passed out. We resurfaced by the barn and left from there." Redtail explained, looking at Panthereye in hopes she would believe him.
"But if Tigerclaw didn't avenge you," Spottedleaf's spirit in the pool started, "then why would he lie? And what did you trip on?"
"Panthereye?" Mousepaw's sleepy voice mewed as he entered the priest's den. "I can't sleep."
"Eat some poppy seeds and try again." Once her apprentice wandered back into their den, Panthereye wondered aloud, "what if you tripped on Tigerclaw?"
"You did say he threatened to kill you. Maybe he was trying to actually kill you," Crabstorm reasoned. He shook his body, his brown fur fluffing up in the Leafbare chill. "Anyway, I figured you may want to talk with your sister. You know, Spottedleaf being your sister and all.
Panthereye purred quietly, rubbing her head against Redtail's cheek before heading back to her own den through the vines at the doctor's den entrance. "Thank you, Crabstorm," he meowed to the tom, who pawed back into his nest. "How'd you go to StarClan?"
"Clawface killed me when he was stealing Frostfur's kits." Spottedleaf explained. "You know, Willowpelt was pretty heartbroken over the news of your death. You're our only brother, and she doesn't know you're still alive."
"It's for the best, Sister," Redtail purred. "I'd rather she thinks I'm dead rather than her seeing my cold body. What about Dustpaw? How's he doing?"
Spottedleaf hummed. "Darkstripe's his mentor now."
"I would have preferred Willowpelt mentor him," Redtail grumbled.
"She was mourning you when Bluestar appointed Dustpaw a new mentor. It wasn't fair to our sister, when your apprentice would only remind her of you even more."
The tom nodded in agreement, stretching his tail to make sure he doesn't fall asleep while talking to his sister. "Bluestar mentioned bringing a kittypet to the clan. How did that go?"
"Firepaw is a spirited one, that's for sure. Much like you, dare I say. Stubborn too - he didn't let Longtail scare him off."
"Then he'll be a good warrior for ThunderClan?"
"Bluestar wouldn't have brought him to the clan otherwise, Redtail." Spottedleaf's spirit turned as if someone was calling her. "Leopardfoot is calling me. I'll come speak to you again soon, Brother."
"Wait, Spottedleaf-" But it was no use. Redtail watched as the water rippled on its own, a reflection of himself appearing where Spottedleaf has been. He was alone with his thoughts, as he slowly walked back to the warriors den and found his empty nest to curl in. It was nice to see his sister's face again, and Redtail was glad that his family was taking care of her in StarClan.
Redtail continued to clean his head, almost bathing in the sunhigh light beaming through the treetops. Honeyflight and Oakheart had accompanied Panthereye to gather herbs, with the news of PantherClan warriors lurking in rival clan territories.
LionClan's leader had suggested attacking PantherClan at their camp, to prove to the rival clan that the other clans weren't to be messed with, but thankfully Dawnstar and LeopardClan's Quillstar had reasoned with her.
He just hoped his clanmates would return unharmed. Especially Panthereye. Redtail looked up as the apprentices battle trained in the middle of the clearing, Mousepaw off to the side. The young tom watched silently, his eyes glancing at the camp entrance.
"Looking out for Panthereye?"
Mousepaw nodded. "She usually gives me things to do at dawn, but she left before I even woke up." His tail tapped the forest floor impatiently, and Redtail sat beside him. "She doesn't usually take this long; I'm getting worried, Redtail."
"She teaches you battle moves, doesn't she?" The young tom nodded. "Then she'll be fine. And she has two of the clan's strongest warriors with her."
"I think you're stronger than Honeyflight," Mousepaw meowed gently, his gaze turning to his littermates.
Redtail felt his heart swell at the compliment.
"PantherClan attacked!" Oakheart's voice hissed, as he and Panthereye tumbled into the camp. Both of them had deep wounds over their bodies, Panthereye's mostly on her flank while Oakheart's were covering his stomach and back.
Redtail felt his heart sink at the sight.
Panthereye's body trembled as she held Honeyflight's limp body in her jaws. "Mousepaw!" She yowled, moving hastily towards her den. "Get every herb we need!"
The apprentice scampered into their den, probably climbing the tree as fast as he could to get to the herb store. Redtail moved to help the doctor carry their clanmate's body. The light ginger she-cat whined as she felt another cat's teeth on her hind, lifting her off the ground.
Redtail heard Oakheart wheezing in the background, explaining the attack to Dawnstar. The next thing he heard was his heart beating in his ears. Loud thumps against his eardrums.
Thump. Thump. THUMP.
Once Honeyflight's heaving body lay on the moss nest, Panthereye and Mousepaw worked diligently to save the warrior.
Thump. Thump. THUMP.
"Redtail, you know some medical practices," Dawnstar's voice gently murmured. "Oakheart's wounds need tending to."
Thump. Thump. THUMP.
Oakheart's purrs interrupted Redtail's heartbeat, the brown tabby watching Redtail. "Hey, Redtail?"
The tom felt his lungs tighten, his hazel eyes staring intensely at the dirt floor.
Thump. Thump. THUMP.
"Hey, hey," Panthereye's voice purred, and he felt her matted fur against his side. "Deep breaths, focus on my voice. You can do it." Her purrs vibrated her body, the tabico she-cat pressing herself to Redtail as he calmed down. "It's okay."
Redtail let out a throaty whine, headbutting his cheek to the back of Panthereye's head. "I thought- you- I-"
"I'm okay," she purred. Her head slowly turned, and lifted her forehead to his chin. "Oakheart took the worst of it, after Honeyflight." Her voice cracked as she murmured, "oh, Honeyflight."
The fox-like tortoiseshell looked up to see the cold, pale ginger body of his clanmate lifeless on the nest. "She's with StarClan now."
"She shouldn't be," Panthereye's bitter hiss fell from her lips. "This is our territory. They had no right to attack us again."
Oakheart licked at his wounds as Mousepaw covered the remaining. Clearly, he wasn't too bothered by the taste of poultice. After what the brown tabby had just been through, Redtail couldn't blame him. "Thankfully we saw it coming. We could protect Panthereye, with what training she didn't have."
"You shouldn't have had to. Honeyflight shouldn't have needed to die for my safety," the tabico she-cat hissed again, before taking a breath and standing. Her legs shook as pain wracked her body, reminding her of the battle.
Brushstorm's pawsteps stopped as the she-cat entered the den. "Dawnstar, Honeyspot and Dewfish recommend a warrior ceremony for Finpaw and Firepaw."
"Not now, Brushstorm."
"Dawnstar-"
"I said, not now." The tom growled, moving from beside Honeyflight's body to Panthereye's side. "My littermate needs me, Brushstorm. Tell them to inform Silkstep of a burial."
The deputy nodded, and wordlessly left the doctor's den. Redtail shook his head, pressing his muzzle to Panthereye's as she sought comfort in his warmth. The doctor eventually shook herself, her legs growing used to standing as she nodded at Honeyflight. "Carry her out of the den. Mousepaw and I need to prepare her body for the vigil."
"Panthereye," Dawnstar started, but upon seeing the stare his sister shot him, the leader obeyed her orders and lifted Honeyflight's front onto his back. Redtail took the late she-cat's flank on his own, following Panthereye to the main floor of the doctor's den. "If you need anything, Sister-"
"I need you, Oakheart and Redtail to get out." Panthereye's voice monotonous, as she stared at her clanmate's body. "Oakheart will need some rest, and he can do that in his own den."
Redtail found no trace of the gentle and kind she-cat who welcomed him and Oakheart to TigerClan some moons ago. All he saw was a silver tabico she-cat who was now a shell of her former self.
"Losing your best friend will do that," Dawnstar meowed softly, obviously knowing what Redtail was thinking. "My dear sister has held the lives of her clanmates in her paws for many moons, and none of them has torn her as much as this; even our parents. I assume a grey and white tom was there, Oakheart?"
The brown tom looked up at the leader at the question. "Yes, how did you know?"
"Lakepelt left TigerClan when our mother passed two newleafs ago. Pheasanttail, our sister, left when we were apprentices for LeopardClan. She saw a better life there." Dawnstar sat to lick his dirty paws. "Lakepelt wanted nothing to do with us after she left, he only stayed for Riverwind, our mother. Panthereye and I were our father's greatest prides. Lakepelt came second to even Pheasanttail, and she was second to us in our father's eyes.
"Seeing our brother attack her clanmates must have wrecked Panthereye." Dawnstar lowered his head, staring at the ground. "I wish she could tell me things. I'm her brother."
Redtail watched the leader as he silently walked to his tree, climbing the trunk to call a clan meeting. "You're okay, right?" He whispered to Oakheart.
"Worried about me?"
"I know you can fight just fine," the tortoiseshell hissed at his friend, before sitting to listen in to the meeting. "Had to check."
"PantherClan has ruthlessly attacked our patrol, and killed one of our own in battle." Dawnstar's voice echoed. "We will sit vigil for Honeyflight tonight. Both Panthereye and Oakheart have suffered great wounds, but will heal with time. For now, I have made come to learn that a young kit is awaiting her apprentice ceremony."
A small, dark ginger she-cat bounced energetically beside Silkstep. Clearly, the young she-cat couldn't wait, as she bounded up to the tree's trunk before Dawnstar could continue. "Mintkit, you have reached the age of seven moons, and your apprenticeship is long overdue. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Mintpaw. Your mentor will be Redtail."
All eyes fell on him, as Redtail stared up at his leader in surprise.
"Redtail, you are ready to take on an apprentice. Crabstorm has told me you had a few apprentices in your former clan, as StarClan has told him. Your swimming technique may need some work," the clan let out laughs at this, "but you have proven yourself to be hardworking and caring. You will be the mentor of Mintpaw and I expect you to pass on all you know to her." His dark blue eyes cast over to the doctor's den, as Panthereye painfully carried Honeyflight's body to the middle of the gathered cats. "Clan dismissed."
Panthereye walked to Redtail and Oakheart's side, a smile rising on her face. "Congratulations, Redtail. Your first TigerClan apprentice."
"How are you feeling?" Redtail murmured, pressing his nose to her head and gave her forehead gentle licks. "I can take Mousepaw off your paws for a bit, if you like."
"No, I'll be fine. Thank you." She purred, lifting her head to lick his cheek. "I've sent him to check on Silkstep and Wheateyes. She's expecting more kits again." Her purrs vibrated from her body to the tom's, her tail flicking at Redtail's new apprentice. "You should take her out, he'd enjoy looking around the territory."
Redtail nodded. "Why don't you come? Fresh air from outside camp might be good." He suggested, watching the she-cat facial expressions change momentarily. She accepted his offer, waiting by the camp entrance as Redtail went to fetch his new apprentice. "Mintpaw, we're going with Panthereye to the wider territory. We'll show you around, and all the best hunting spots."
"Is that wise?" Wheateyes meowed softly, looking up from her daughter to the warrior. "I know you mean well, Redtail, but...well, Honeyflight was killed from a PantherClan ambush only a few moments ago."
"I'll protect her with my life," Redtail promised, blinking slowly at the queen. She followed Mousepaw towards the doctor's den without another word.
The young apprentice bounced around her mentor's paws. "Are we going to catch a deer like the one you all brought back a quarter-moon ago? Are we going to fight PantherClan for killing Honeyflight?"
"No cat is killing anyone, and the deer have been all spooked off for the past few days," Panthereye purred at the young she-cat's excitement. "Right now, Redtail is going to show you the more important parts of our territory - after our camp, of course."
"How do you know PantherClan killed Honeyflight?" Redtail frowned, looking down at his apprentice.
Mintpaw padded ahead of him, "Finpaw and Firepaw were talking about it before my ceremony."
He continued to think about the fact a 6 moon old kit already knew about a death in the clan. It wasn't much of a surprise, considering the size of the clan, but for a kit to hear about it and not be scared concerned Redtail to no end.
"And what's this?" Mintpaw swiped a paw at the spinning water, ripples relaying from the gentle attack.
"This is the Riverpool. The first doctor of TigerClan named this spot after himself; it's found that it has healing properties."
Mintpaw stared up at the older she-cat, and Redtail noted the adoration on his apprentice's face. "Do you and Mousepaw still use it?"
"It's more like just a pool," Panthereye chuckled, dipping her paws into it. "I don't think there's ever been healing water in this; it streams from the mountains in LionClan's territory. It wouldn't make sense if only we had healing water, when the river runs from another clan's territory."
"It's cold." Mintpaw shivered, shaking and stepped back from the water's edge.
"We also use this to teach apprentices how to swim."
The apprentice shook her head. "No way, it's too cold."
"You have thick fur," Redtail reminded her. He nodded at his own, short fur and fluffy tail. "The only part of me that keeps warm in the river is my tail, and that's not very helpful when all of my important organs aren't in my tail." As Mintpaw headed on deeper into the forest with happiness in her step, Redtail and Panthereye padded a tail-length away.
Her shoulder pressed against his. "How are you?"
"Good, I think. I get why Mintpaw didn't want to go into the pool, it really is cold. You look freezing." He gestured at Panthereye's drenched fur with his nose to her back. "And you're so small. I'm surprised you didn't slip under."
Panthereye snorted. "First of all, let me remind you about the grown tom that couldn't swim. Second, I'm just the perfect size! And the pool's shallow enough for a kit to have their head just above the water."
"Well, you're almost apprentice-sized, so..."
She playfully swiped at his nose, before licking his cheek affectionately. Panthereye trotted on, catching up to the young, silver she-cat. If Panthereye didn't have the splotches of light brown and light grey on her silver pelt, or if Mintpaw had the splotches, Redtail would say the two she-cats were identical. Their walking patterns were almost the same, and their mannerisms matched.
"What's that smell?" Mintpaw murmured, her ears bent back in fear, and Redtail caught up to the she-cats.
Panthereye approached the bush in front of the three of them, crouching and lifting her nose to sniff at the shrubbery. After a moment, she turned to the warrior and apprentice. "PantherClan scent markers, is what it is. They've sprayed the shrubs."
"We should report it to Dawnstar," Redtail nodded and turned back the way they had come. As they entered the camp again, the tom let his apprentice take something to eat and sit with her denmates. As he and Panthereye approached Dawnstar outside of his den, the silver tabby's expression changed to one of concern. "PantherClan has left their scent."
Dawnstar nodded, and at the mention of the Gathering the following night, he turned to his warrior and doctor. "None of us will speak of this at the Gathering. The PantherClan attack and scenting will be kept a secret unless PantherClan themselves mention it."
"Dawnstar-"
"Panthereye. It will not be mentioned unless PantherClan does." The tom looked at the clan doctor sternly. The she-cat returned the look with a grumble, and she turned to her den, disappearing through the vine. Dawnstar sighed, looking from the vine-covered entrance to the warrior. "Promise me you'll keep an eye on her? This was bound to happen, but I didn't think it'd happen so soon... she's not young, but she's not old enough to be a grumpy old she-cat yet. She still has so much of her life to be happy about, an apprentice who adores her more than life itself."
Redtail remembered the adoration Mintpaw watched Panthereye with. Mousepaw certainly wasn't the only apprentice to look at her with such amazement. Before he could ask anything about it, Dawnstar had turned to enter his own den and escape from the outside world.

This is not a very well organized blog post.
Okay, quick update (when am I ever "quick"?) just in case anyone has been reading these and would be interested in an update.
Emmett is doing considerably better than he was. He did go in for surgery and have a feeding tube placed last Friday. It was sort of a bigger deal than I thought--it wasn't just placed through his nose, but sewn into his neck.
He was still really lethargic the following day, worse than before I took him to the vet again. But he had just had surgery, two straight days of being under anesthesia, and the vet put him on a different pain medicine that's easier on his empty stomach, but makes him a little sleepy. So I tried not to worry too much throughout Saturday.
And since then, he's definitely improved. He shows up for meals now, even if he doesn't eat a whole bunch. I mean, I do have to put a bunch of emergency care food into his stomach four to five times a day. Which also includes a lot of water, so I haven't seen him at the water bowl, but not only is his food mixed with water, but he gets his medicines crushed up in water, and his tube needs washed out before and after he's fed. So that's a lot of water.
He spent most of Saturday just sort of blobbing on the floor again. Yesterday, he upgraded to blobbing on the couch after his afternoon meal. Today, he waited until my supper time to start blobbing--and that's almost certainly because he got his pain medicine about hour before that.
The vet says he needs to have that until his feeding tube comes out. He's got a follow-up appointment towards the end of next week to take stock of when that might could happen. And he's eating well enough on his own that I was told to take him off the appetite stimulant today. He isn't eating as well, but he is still eating, so that's good.
He slept with me all last night, which is the best I've slept since this whole thing started. I could reach behind me and touch his side and just make sure he was still breathing. He left pretty early, too, probably 5:00. He meowed at me a lot (he's naturally a chatty boy) and let me pet him, and this afternoon before his feeding, I found him outside on the patio--it was over 80 degrees outside today. It's February. How disgusting. But I went inside to exercise, and when I came back, he was sitting in the grass.
Overall, he looks more like himself, and he's not nearly so hot! He's not hissing when I touch him. I really hope that this means he's on the mend!
I did bite the bullet today and sign him and his brothers up for pet insurance. It's not as unreasonable as I thought, and for all three of them annually, it's still less than I spent on a single vet appointment/procedure Emmett had last week (and he had five). It won't help me with this issue because he won't be covered for another couple of weeks, but it will save me money in the long run, I think.
Anyway, now that that has (mostly) passed, unless something new and scary happens, I can assure you that I will now return to reblogging and posting about Ace Attorney instead of my various adventures with my cat.

To be clear, when I say I’m always contemplating suicide, I mean it.
It’s such a trife nowadays. The dark humour, the edgy ones, we all know someone like that, I think.
Even I am ‘one of them’. A neurodivergent bitch; the kind that has boomers going ‘back in my day we didn’t have these kinds of mental illnesses. You’re just making it up and we’re blaming video games/the internet/whatever else comes up with that we are determined to have a panic about.’.
I mean sure, whatever, be my guest. I certainly don't have the capacity, or the mental fortitude, to engage in a back and forth argument with a party that thinks ‘I'm wrong from the get go.
But yes, as I was saying - and you see that distraction there - that’s the inability to keep on topic. Sure, I am depressed, but who isn’t nowadays? Sure, I have anxiety, but then most people do and just push past it, right? Sure, I may have undiagnosed-ADHD-but-I-am-pretty-certain, but we don’t know for sure and the waiting list is about 3 years long! But hey, at least you can always pay money to get assessed, and get it done quickly!
As if I have the kind of money to spare for an assessment that will simply tell me what I already know, except now I might also have a fancy piece of paper and be about £400 or so poorer. With that kind of money I may as well get something that at least makes me happy.
The system isn’t made for people like me, or any of my brothers/sisters/they/thems in arms who may suffer from a similar affliction.
Say, my dearest friend, why is it that the system is largely run by people who have no first hand experience with the things I, or you, are dealing with? Why do they get to decide my fate when they have never suffered from the chronic pain I deal with daily, carefully described to them on a bone white piece of paper in many an excruciating detail, in what feels like a perverse type of appeal for their basic understanding and empathy?
Why do I have to suffer so much just to be granted enough pity so that I may - just maybe - live? And not even in necessary comfort - an existence maybe, a sort of pale facsimile of what a life should be.
It’s almost 4pm on a Thursday evening. My cat is meowing near my bed. I will get up in a minute to give him the food. He’s a great comfort to me, even if he’s currently ignoring my tears. It’s okay buddy, I think you deserve some food. And you already slept curled up next to me for the better part of 3 hours. It’s not your fault that I decided to be having my minor breakdown right now.
I have fed the cat and acquired a cup of coffee. I figure, if I have to brave the pain of standing up, I may as well have a treat.
Continuing in my pattern of unorganized thoughts, here is the crux of the matter.
I used to have an okay job. Not one worth the pay, but I was pretty good at it. Good enough to have a managerial position even. I had a small team of people and together we did our best working our shitty for a shitty retail giant that always said it cared oh-so-much for its employees. Just not enough to keep us well staffed and compensated, obviously. You know the drill, I’m sure, especially if you’re also someone stuck in a shitty retail job.
Not to say no one can enjoy them - I certainly enjoyed some aspects of it - namely my colleagues- but it’s not a majority opinion, from where I’m standing.
Point is, at some point down the line - something happened, as in prone in life. In this case, I developed a painful condition that slowly left me unable to get around distances without a walking aid.
About the least helpful thing to happen when you work retail.
Long story short, higher management couldn’t offer me a good compromise. I started taking painkillers just to get through my shifts. They had to prescribe me, you know, and the doctor very seriously told me on the phone to “only take them when I really need them. They are addictive.”. He cautioned me in a stern voice. I wonder if he thought I would abuse them, his tone felt lightly disapproving.
I felt like laughing at him. “Silly doc,” I wanted to say, “my antidepressants are supposed to be addictive - yet I sometimes forget to take them even though I have been on them for years.”.
I said nothing. Frankly, I was just thankful I had painkillers to alleviate the pain.
I decided to step down from my managerial position. I was not able to complete the tasks to the standard I held for myself. And surely the company would be happier to have a lead who was actually able to walk.
Funny. I laughed to myself at times. I still do now, despite having come to terms with the fact that my body betrayed me through no ill of my own. I freely call myself a cripple and am game with people joking about my disability. Only the ones that are my friends though, anyone who is not part of that small circle will get a dismissal or worse, depending on their transgression.
I stepped down from my position.
It’s wild how quickly peoples’ perspective of you changes. I’m talking about the other leads here specifically. I had worked with these people for a good amount of time, even longer before I had ever stepped up. We weren’t close, but we were cordial.
Yet the immediate change as soon as I abandoned my position was curious. To be clear, I stepped down on my own accord due to a medical condition. Not because I was bad at my job, not because I was forced to.
“Oh yeah, no, you don’t need to worry about that any more. It’s got nothing to do with you now.”
“Oh sorry, didn’t realize you were still in our super special chat where we discuss social gatherings out of work as leadership, gonna kick you off now!”
And the lack of acknowledgement too. It kind of… hurt a little. Not that I was expecting anyone to be buddy-buddy with me, or any special treatment, but it felt that even the most banal chat between me and anyone salaried was suddenly not worth the effort in their eyes. Even those I used to get along with rather well.
Well, whatever. I shrugged off my hurt like you got to do sometimes. I was just here to do my job. And, hopefully, take extra steps to secure some comfort for myself and my anxious brain.
Namely the fact that getting another job was very very difficult even for qualified folks, and I am very much not that.
I like numbers and multitasking. It might be the ADHD (undiagnosed, my brain screeches) but I find my current step-down position to be mindlessly boring. It’s just so much… less than what I am used to juggling, it feels like dissociating for 7 hours straight. Sometimes I can’t even recall a just passed shift. Did I even do anything important? Who knows. I haven’t been told off, so I must have been adequate, I comfort myself.
But I have no fancy degree, just an annoying brain that was no good for me in the academic setting. My education focused, and in terms of hobbies it still does, on art. Traditional and digital, I am willing to try anything out. I am no good with deadlines without pressure though so I have never tried commissions.
I figured, I would try to become the number 1 problem in the UK according to our late PM Boris Johnson - a disabled person (who wants to claim benefits).
So I went through the process of applying for a PIP. Fun times, as anyone who has ever applied for this, hm, thing, could tell you.
I cheerfully laid out all my various problems to a consultant who helps with these claims - it is not recommended you fill it out yourself, for the rate of rejection is so high.
As someone who has gone through the process before, I was prepared for the questions.
It’s long and complicated, you have a deadline and at the end of it you have an assessment too.
What it really boils down to is - well. Why should we give you money, really?
You better show your suffering. You better show it so clearly that we will have to give you this lifeline, despite everything.
But, oh? What’s this?
You can walk down two entire shopping aisles before needing to rest? You actually understand how to deal with money? You can make arrangements for your day to day life?
Hm! Well, it sounds like to us that you are perfectly capable of taking care of yourself!
Of course, my application got rejected. And now I’m typing up a blog post but I have no points to make currently, I just feel sick and exhausted.
I’ve never written a blog post before. This is just ramblings of someone desperately trying to get their feelings out because what other outlet is there?
Killing myself?
Hah.
Could it be that the cripple is afraid of death after all?
No, not really. But I also haven’t been actively suicidal in a while. I try not to be. I have cats to care for.
Instead, I’ll let this entry fizzle out without an obvious conclusion. I’m not writing an essay and no one is grading me on this.
I won’t kill myself today. I’m passively suicidal. I’ll trudge on. Hopefully with a blog post once in a while. And hey, maybe the topics will even be a musing about something more interesting than trying to survive in a miserable world where your government actively hates you and people like you.
Stay kind to your fellow man, everyone. If you won’t, who will?

Love over Law chapter 6

Chapter 1 • Chapter 5
"Hey! Nightpaw, over here!"
The call came from a ginger-and-black she-cat, about his age, who sat with the other apprentices in front of their den. The young tom padded over to join them, curious, but he already had a pretty good idea of what they were talking about.
The same she-cat asked, "Did you know we get to go to the next gathering?"
Yep, that's what I thought.
"Yes, Emberpaw. I was there when our mentors told us, remember?"
"Whatever. Listen, I was wondering…"
Emberpaw and the others shared knowing looks, giggling in a way that made Nightpaw's ears twitch with annoyance.
She-cats, he thought, flicking his tail.
"Go on," he sighed.
Emberpaw batted her golden-yellow eyes at him. "Well, you are going to sit by me, right?"
"Why are you asking?" he inquired, though he already knew.
"Because, Nightpaw, I wanted you to sit by me. Is it that hard to understand?"
"That doesn't answer the question, mouse-brain. Why does it matter to you where I sit? You'll have plenty of company," he meowed, motioning to the other two young she-cats.
Emberpaw pranced up to him, sweeping her tail through the air.
"But Nightpaw," she smirked, "those are just my friends."
Nightpaw inwardly shuddered as he asked gruffly, "Then what am I supposed to be?"
Emberpaw's only response was to stand much too close beside him and nuzzle her head against his shoulder. The young tom sidestepped away from her, growing quite uncomfortable.
She gave a coquettish toss of her head and pretended not to notice as she went on to say, "And I'd better not see you talking to anyone from outside our clan, got it? I can't have you making any pretty 'friends' while we're there, now can I?"
"I'll talk to whatever cats I wanna talk to, Emberpaw," he grunted, deciding it would be best to go ahead and nip whatever this was in the bud. "You can't claim me. Back off."
Emberpaw just smiled.
"Ooh, playing hard to get, I see." She stepped closer until her muzzle was almost touching his ear.
"But seriously," she whispered, dropping the flirtatious tone for something that sounded rather threatening. "I'd better not catch you mingling with any of those other she-cats, or else."
Nightpaw's eyes narrowed in exasperation as he pushed her away with his shoulder. "I know the rules," he hissed.
"Good," she purred.
Nightpaw silently extended his claws, wishing he had an easy way to get out of this. Emberpaw had a tendency to be very... persistent.
What's she so worked up about? Does she seriously think I would betray my clan? Where did that come from? I guess she's just that insecure. I mean, she has a right to worry if her concern is that I don't want anything to do with her. How do I shake her off?
Fortunately for him, another apprentice, a rambunctious black-and-brown tabby, suddenly barged in on the conversation.
"Hey guys! Whatcha talkin' about?" he asked, giving Nightpaw a wink as Emberpaw, startled, jerked away.
"Noticed you could use a rescue," said the newcomer under his breath.
"Thank you," whispered the blue-gray tom.
"Anytime. We guys gotta stick together, eh?" came the hushed response. Then in a louder, jovial tone he said, "So, ladies, let me guess. We were discussing the gathering we'll all be attending next full moon?"
A golden-furred young she-cat replied, "Of course we were, Thornpaw. What else is there to talk about?"
"Oh, I don't know, Honeypaw. Maybe we could talk about those gorgeous amber eyes?"
"Ha!" she scoffed. "If you think I'm taken by your charm, Thornpaw, you're sorely mistaken."
"Aw, shucks," he replied, chipper as ever, with a glint in his green eyes. "Well, ya can't blame a guy for tryin'. Now, where were we? About the gathering?"
The third female apprentice, Sparrowpaw, leaned forward, voicing her thoughts now that her brother's interruption had given her a chance to speak.
"Well, cats from all four clans will be there. Quite exciting, isn't it? We can meet other apprentices, make some new friends. Except Nightpaw, apparently…"
Emberpaw shot her a dirty look.
"Anywho, we'll also get to see all the leaders. Redstar will be there, obviously, and Sharpstar, and Duskstar, and Ripplestar. Wow, this is going to be so cool! I can't wait!"
"I know, right?"
"We'd all better behave for the next moon, so Redstar won't change his mind and tell us we have to stay home again."
"Ugh, no. That would be terrible."
The apprentices' voices were overlapping excitedly, but Nightpaw kept his thoughts to himself.
I'll just be glad to get a break from you guys and meet some cats I might actually get along with.
He decided to go out on a solo hunt, to let off some steam.
"Uh, bye guys. I'm gonna go hunting. I'll be back before dinner."
Nightpaw slipped away into the woods without giving Emberpaw a chance to protest, feeling the cool air and the hushed sounds of the forest refreshing him already. Hanging around the other apprentices- some of them anyway- was exhausting. But out there, it was quiet and peaceful; perfect, in his opinion.
The young tabby lifted his muzzle, taking in the scents of life around him. He caught onto the trail of something small, familiar, with warm blood coursing through its veins.
Mouse!
He followed the scent, creeping forward ever so slowly, claws sheathed to silence his steps. It was coming from quite a ways away, and he had to track it carefully so he wouldn't lose it.
As he finally reached the source, he crouched and prepared to spring. Nightpaw knew he had to be quick, or his prey would get away.
Sliding out his foreclaws, he leapt toward the quiet, muffled squeaking of his quarry, landing perfectly and sinking his fangs into the mouse's tiny neck so as to kill it swiftly and mercifully.
Unlike most cats, Nightpaw didn't make a habit of playing with his food. It was something about him that his parents and mentor found peculiar. The thing was, in a way, he could sense the pain and terror of the hunted creatures. He had no desire to make them suffer more than necessary; what point was there in tiring a creature too small to harm him?
Nightpaw stretched his legs, his limbs feeling tight after all that stalking. Scooping up his fresh-kill, he headed back toward camp.
Upon his return, he again heard a voice shouting his name, but this time he was much happier to see who it was.
The blue-gray tabby turned his head to see Thornpaw beckoning him from beside the apprentice den. He glanced about, wondering where all the others were. Thornpaw, noticing this, called out again.
"Don't worry; the girls are out bothering the queens," he laughed.
Nightpaw sighed in relief and padded over to join him after dropping his mouse on the fresh-kill pile.
"Thank goodness," he grumbled.
"They can be pretty annoying, can't they?"
Nightpaw rolled his eyes.
"You have no idea."

I’ve been chosen!!!
Small story time! So this morning it was my turn to take my dog outside(me and brother alternate) and before we actually bring her outside we have to check around our driveway/lawn to make sure nothing is going to set her off, as she doesn’t really get along well with strangers.
So I’m out there, looking around and doing my check, and when I check my families side of the lawn(it’s split in two by our driveway, the other side is for our neighbors) there’s a gray tabby cat right there. I wanted to see if it had a collar or anything in case it belonged to someone, so I said in my best ‘talking to pets’ voice
“Hey buddy, who are you? What are you doing out here?” It meowed at me, i meowed back, and it starting walking up to me. I knelt down and it walked right up to me! Even did that whole rubbing-my-face-against-your-legs thing that cats do. I pet it a bit and told my parents. It didn’t have a collar, but it could still belong to someone, so we didn’t keep it. (Along for various other reasons) but I left food out for it on the porch Incase it came back.
So yeah! This random stray/lost cat liked me! :D

Read photos first
JB: He picked up the glass and stood up, walking to the kitchen.
When he returned he had a new glass of water with a straw and held onto it for when Javi was ready.
JR: -he let himself cry for a few minuets before pulling back blushing, tears still dripping down his face as he looked between them- “sorry about that” -he leaned forward to sip through the straw in an attempt to hide how badly he was shaking-
LB: Gently she wiped away the tears, “You’ve done nothing wrong
JB: He nodded, noticing the shaking as he held the glass of water. He thought it was caused by what his mind had forced him to see again.
JR: “Wasn’t we meant to be having food? And is there any way of dimming the lights a bit? I seem to be a bit light sensitive.” -he squinted his eyes as his head throbbed, feeling overwhelmed.-
JB: He nodded, their plates had been on the table by the bed.
“Computer, dim the lights.” He reached for a plate and set it closer for Javi.
LB: While Joe sorted the lights and food, she began to think about what she had seen and how possibly to handle it though at the moment she didn’t have a solution.
JR: “That cage in the middle of the prision. It contains most of my abilities as well as most of my autism symptoms. They wanted to harness my abilities and when they couldn’t they decided to contain them and make me seem normal. That powers the rest of that place”
LB: She nodded, “When they couldn’t force you to be what they wanted, they tried to control you still another way and change you. There has to be a way through the chains they put up.”
JB: He went to the replicator for tea, returning and sitting on the side of the bed. “We need to sort this before we attempt anything, as we don’t want to cause additional harm trying to undo what Section 31 already did.”
JR:
“Do you want it undone though? It means my autism will be… more obvious. I’m talking twitches, more sensory issues, me going nonverbal more often. I know my abilities will be stronger and I’ll be more stable but is it worth the pay off?”-he hands nearly knocks off the food-
LB: She looked at Javi, “I want what is best for you, and would not do anything without your prior consent. I don’t want to do any harm, Section 31 has done plenty when they had you with them.”
JB: He nodded, quickly moving to ensure the plate didn’t fall.
One of their cats came around to sniff the air, meowing at the smell of fried fish.
JR: “Damn it” -Javi struggled to his feet, nearly falling before stumbling towards the fresher room “excuse me a moment”
LB: She moved aside, noticing when he stumbled. “Do you want help walking to the loo?”
JB: He remained where he was, though would get up to help if he were asked for.
JR: “I’m fine. Just need some air..” -he entered the fresher and let the door slid shut behind him, letting himself slid to the floor just after-
LB: She nodded, remaining sat where she was and resting her head against his Joe’s shoulder.
JB: He set the plate on the bedside table, covering it again and wrapping his arm around his wife’s waist.
JR: The ESR walked up to them and beeped before it’s screen flickered on. It’s showed an engine room, Javi and a older woman with short hair we’re leaning over a robot. Javi had on ear defenders and was chewing on something. “Did stamets tell you I was in engineering earlier?” Javi knocked on the table once “I was winding him up something fierce about rerouting power away from his mushrooms. His face was so red and he was getting more and more snarky” Javi tapped twice and gave the woman a look “oh don’t look at me like that little brother. I know you like the man but he is such a..” suddenly the robot before them sprung to life. The woman turned to Javi hugging him hard “told ya you could do it you numskull let’s go tell the Captain”
The screen cleared before another appeared, Javi was laying amoung mushrooms much more mature then the ones in the London cultivation bay, he was watching at stars and galaxies where projected on the ceiling whilst playing with a fidget toy in his hands.
“Javi…”
“Here Paul.”
Javi’s voice was different in tone. His words were more drawn out like he had to think about them more. A blond man appeared and sat next to him, also looking at the ceiling.
“I heard what happened. You know being neodivergent doesn’t make any difference to your work here right? Me, Jet, Hugh, the others. We don’t care if you don’t like parties or flashing lights. I don’t even go to those events and don’t blame you for having an overload.”
Javi shrugged clearly upset
“The amabassidor who tried to restrain you and prevent you leaving is being reprimanded and escorted of the ship. Your safe here.” -the man pulled Javi into a hug and they both laid back to watch the patterns again-
LB: She held Joe’s hand while watching the screen, and she agreed with the blonde bloke she had never met previously.
JB: He remained at her side and gently squeezed her hand, watching the screen.
JR: -the screen when blank and the ESR went to the fresher door and bleeped. On the other side Javi lent against a wall, breathing hard, mumbling to himself-
LB: She stood up and followed ESR, knocking on the door. “Javi, are you alright?”
JR: “I’m sitting on the floor and can’t get up”
JB: He got up and walked to the loo, opening the door.
Bending down, he picked up Javi.
JR: -wraps his arms round Joes neck leaning his head on his chest, silently letting tears fall-
JB: He held Javi and walked back to the bed, sitting down.
LB: She hadn’t moved from where she had been, and rested her head against Joe’s shoulder while he held Javi.
JR: “Do you want me to move?” -Javi wondered if he was making Joe uncomfortable, sitting cuddled in his lap, and offered to move even as one of his hands clutched his top tighter-
JB: “No, you’re alright. I thought you needed a hug after what you had showed us earlier.” He hasn’t moved from where he was. “Are you alright?”
JR: “Not really” he didn’t see the point in lying
JB: He listened as Javi spoke, “We’ll get through this together.”
LB: She still rested her head on Joe’s shoulder and gently rubbed Javi’s shoulders.

Thoughts on Charlie in Underworld!
OK OK OK THANK YOU FOR ASKING THIS BECAUSE 500 LETTERS ON THE GOOGLE PLAY STORE ISN'T QUITE ENOUGH TO GIVE MY ENTIRE OPINION THIS IS GONNA BE VERY RAMBLY, SPOILERY AND PROBABLY PRETTY LONG SO I'M CONTINUING UNDER THE CUT
So first of all I gotta say that I played Underworld Office practically when it came out by finding it a little randomly. I absolutely fell in love with the game in pretty much all of it's aspects - be it the art, the characters or the story- , got obsessed with it for around a month, and then it went a little to the back. But what I can tell you is that I loved Charlie practically the second they were introduced because they're quite literally the kind of character I love the second they're shown to us so OBVIOUSLY when my friends told me that there was gonna be a sequel ABOUT CHARLIE I was hooked.
And now that the game came out, boy I was NOT disappointed.
First of all, the main cast is just as awesome as it was in Underworld Office. I love Eugene as much as I did in Underworld Office, maybe even more, I've always loved him, i'll always love him, he's my son (and one of highest kins but that's a story for another day). He's all grown up (which made me strangely proud of him) and yet still as much of a kind-hearted, self-sacrificing dumbass who just wants what's best for everyone as he was back in the first game, but you can see that he came such a long way from the nervous-wreck he still kinda was even at the end of underworld office and he has friends and I'm so proud of him and his chapter WRECKED ME like HOLY SHIT WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME WRITERS THIS POOR GUY ALREADY SUFFERED ENOUGH. He deserves so much better and he's still such a lovable character to me partly because he's a really expressive character. Like a part that really hurt me was the moment where he has his fight with Charlie, on the illustration you can read his emotions so clearly I love him so much his anger at the end of chapter 6 is so justified and i empathize with him so much this guy can just do no wrong zoieieizozorhrjrike.
Hayden - who happened to be a character I was quite indifferent to in underworld office (i liked him and thought he was a good character but it didn't run deeper than that) - brought so much sympathy out of me I was NOT expecting that. He's genuinely such a cute character he's just a kid who's doing his best and it was heartbreaking to see his reactions to learning his parents were going to have a new baby like you can sense his anguish (OR maybe it's me being way too invested in fictional characters IDK) and holy crap I melted inside when he asked for his brother to be named Charlie and absolutely died inside when I had to let him become an evil spirit to get an ending and he's also on one of my favorite illustrations of the game so THAT'S A PLUS IG
Boss. I am SO GLAD that Boss FINALLY got more depth than he used to have. I get that the entire point of the character is that we don't know lots of stuff about him but it feels great to have at least just a bit more informations about his story. Boss is the embodiment of the expression the road to hell is paved with good intentions. He wanted to protect himself but at the same time didn't want anyone to get hurt because of that and ended up causing more pain in the end because he handled all the situations with all the member of the office in a shitty way because no bestie hiding the truth from everyone and drowning in your own guilt isn't the right way to protect people. I love him and I dislike him at the same time he's my poor little meow meow.
River. I really liked her in Underworld Office. I still really like her. We FINALLY know what her death was and my god the circumstances of her death are awful and I wish she could have found peace instead of sulking in her own anger and hate she deserved so much better and yes much better means GO APESHIT YOU DESERVE IT. She's just such a fun character and didn't deserve the stuff that was thrown at her in her life.
Joan is great. I love Joan. You don't love Joan? Tbh I can understand why, but really her being kind of a stuck-up grandma is the strength of her character I think. Her story is heartbreaking like she didn't mean to kill Bill and I understand why she covered up the stuff but that doesn't make it right and Bill's anger is so justified but his actions are really not and kzjejdkzlsmmdld BOTH WATCHING HER EXILING HERSELF WITH BILL OR BECOMING AN EVIL SPIRIT HURT LIKE SHIT HELP.
Sean I actually don't have a lot to say about him except that we don't deserve him. He's so sweet and, much like Eugene, just wants what's best for everyone and tries to do his best to make the underworld better for everyone and we really don't deserve him my sweet son ily 😭
And now for Charlie. Charlie my absolute beloved. Like I said at the beginning, Charlie was my favorite character practically the second we were introduced to them in Underworld Office. Before Charlie in Underworld came out, when trying to theorize why Charlie was the way they were in Underworld Office, my theory was that Charlie was someone who died surrounded by indifference, and seems I was both right and wrong. Charlie lived among people's indifference of their situation. Their father was awful I don't think I need to explain why and their mom was just trying to survive and only did what she could do in her situation and Charlie just felt like they were ignored, them and their suffering and when Mike came into the picture, I like to think that Charlie wanted to have Mike as a friend, but they just never learned how to have a healthy relationship, be it friendship or anything else and because of that they just kept on telling themselves that they were pathetic for dwelling on their situation because Mike's was supposedly worse and i'm sure they blamed themselves so much for what they did to Mike and what happened to him and their mother after what he did to them both before and after their death and just. Their story made me tear up each time it came they never meant to hurt anyone they were just scared and while it doesn't make any of the things they did right it explains so much. And after losing their memory. My god the SNARK. THE CYNICISM. THE SARCASM. THE ANGER AND YET THE GUILT. JUST EVERYTHING. Charlie just has such a strong personality and is also a really expressive character and I absolutely love them for it. Basically even without knowing shit about themselves, the kid they're supposed to protect or the people they're supposed to work with Charlie knows one thing, they were a fucking menace and they're sure gonna be staying like that. And yet even while being a menace who's also really bad at communicating their feelings, Charlie understands other's feelings way better than they would probably care to admit. Like they say towards the end of the game, they're a shitty person who's done shitty things but that doesn't change the fact that in the few days they spent with the underworld office's workers they've come a long way from who they were as a ghost terrorizing people in the subway just to feel seen and not just because they didn't remember anything because they clearly feel guilty when they're about to turn entirely dark after remembering their past they just went through so much and didn't deserve any of it they just wanted to be left alone and my god I already loved charlie before but now I'm just like KQKDJEISOKZKRKRJ. AND I BARELY SCRATCHED THE SURFACE OF WHAT I WANTED TO SAY ABOUT CHARLIE BUT I JUST. CAN'T FIND THE WORDS TO DESCRIBE HOW DEEPLY I FEEL ABOUT THEM. I JUST LOVE THEM SM.
NOW IF YOU'RE STILL READING THIS I CAN MOVE ON.
I'm not gonna dwell too much on how much I love the art style of the game, or how I think the design are great, be it with the shapes, the colors, or the expressions of the characters who are always very expressive, which really makes it clear to guess what they're feeling even to a dumbass like me because I already made you read through my thoughts on the characters.
The story in itself is great. I don't really know what else to say. I love the idea of the workers deciding to unseal Charlie to keep Eugene safe. I LOVE EUGENE BEING AN ADULT I AM SO PROUD OF HIM. I am not exactly a fan of blackmail but y'know, I can understand why they would doubt Charlie. The fact that Charlie has amnesia is also a really great way to carry the scenario and to make them empathize with the other characters of the cast, be it by empathizing with them and validating their anger because they know what it feels like to feel alone, hurt or afraid and they know what it feels like to feel wronged or, like in Joan's case, by calling them out on their bullshit like others should have done to them. The fact that Boss has hidden the truth about how good and evil work to the others is great, and heartbreaking when you see the impact it has on both River and Eugene, who both trusted him, and i also think it's hilarious that Charlie ends up being the only level-headed person in the last chapter considering how they were in Underworld Office. Serves again to show how much they've grown during the game. SAME HERE I BARELY SCRATCHED THE SURFACE BECAUSE I JUST CAN'T FIND THE WORDS BUT THE SUBJECTS THE GAME BRINGS UP ARE REALLY WELL HANDLED I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO WORD IT ANY OTHER WAY.
Speaking of which, I can now talk about the relationships
First of all I'd like to say I absolutely adore Eugene and Charlie as a duo. They're legit a great duo and as a trio with Hayden they're just as great. Just Eugene's level-headedness, kindness and naivety mixed in with Charlie's free-spirit, hot-headed and desechanted self makes them work together really well, especially since Charlie, due to their lack of tie to any of the members of the team and pretty much hating Boss on sight, isn't being lowkey manipulated by Boss because they're too naive. Plus who doesn't love two absolute dumbasses working together?
I also love Charlie's and River's dynamic. River is absolutely unhinged and Charlie is not having a good time because of that, especially since they didn't exactly take well the fact that River doubted them because they used to be dark. I like them because, due to them being fundamentally shadows like River says, they're way more similar than meets the eye and while what makes Eugene and Charlie work together is the fact that they're opposites, what makes River and Charlie works is that they're similar. Also I really like the fact that we're given the choice to be somewhat thoughtful of River in Collapse.
The last relationship I can think of is the one between Charlie and Sean. Because while it may be a really background one, it's just very symbolic and I like the conversation they have in the sixth chapter.
OH AND THE ENDINGS. I LOVE THEM ALL BUT LIKE,,, THE ONLY CHARLIE IN UNDERWORLD ENDING IS MY FAVORITE I JUST. I JUST LOVE IT SO MUCH. LIKE YOU GO CHARLIE YOU GO EUGENE YOU GO MY CHILDREN YOU'RE DOING GREAT.
BUT ALSO THE SWAMP OF EVIL SPIRITS ENDING IS SO COOL I LOVE IT. I LOVE THE IDEA OF IT EVEN IF IT'S SO PAINFUL LIKE BASICALLY FROM WHAT I UNDERSTOOD EUGENE'S SPIRIT WAS DESTROYED LIKE WHY DO YOU SO THIS TO ME BUT ALSO.... I LOVE THE IDEA OF CHARLIE JUST HANGING AROUND BUT THE THOUGHT THAT CHARLIE IS JUST STUCK WITH GNAWING GUILT BUT THE MEMORY OF EUGENE JUST WON'T LET THEM TURN INTO A MONSTER IS HEART-WRENCHING LIKE CHARLIE I'M SO SORRY YOU DESERVE BETTER.
AND THE GOOD ENDING IS A GOOD ENDING SO OF COURSE I LIKE IT LIKE YOU GO CHILDREN KEEP BEING A BUNCH OF DUMBASSES BUT BE BETTER DUMBASSES THAN YOU COULD BE WITH BOSS AS YOUR BOSS.
I think I'm done here I can't think of anything else to say I absolutely adore this game if it wasn't obvious thanks for sending this to my inbox i really wanted to ramble about it
Tl;dr : i am in love with this game, its characters, its story and its relationships
