Spiritual successor to this post which kinda blew up (for my standards at least)

From my nonhuman perspective I think that gender and attraction categories for the most part is made up; which is a bit ironic because I'm a massive label hoarder, but I don't really think too hard about it– despite using an incredulous amount of labels, being multigender, etc, on the inside I'm probably pretty much genderless, and using 'gender' to describe vague experiences with abstract feelings that don't actually mean anything. I love when people are trans and gnc because woah! You discovered that you can do anything and be fun and awesome! I dunno; was just thinking about the fact you could have two beings in a room, completely different gender/attraction labels, and they could be experiencing the same exact feeling. I have wracked my brain on the difference between a close, affectionate platonic partnership and a romantic relationship, as allos typically define romance by heightened trust and intimacy; and I've wracked my brain on the definition of gender as a whole, and it's silly to me. Kind of scared that I'm maintagging this because I feel like queer identities mean a lot to many many beings, and maybe it seems like I'm devaluing them and taking them down/saying they don't really 'exist', but that's not really the point I want to make; this post is really just a commentary on being creature and feeling strange about feelings

I think it's stupid how the seemingly default defense for "weird" identities is "it's okay if some kid identifies as [insert xenogender here] or identifies with another species, they're harmless (implicit 'and they'll get over it), leave them alone" . you also need to be kind and normal towards adults with those identities and you need to get over the idea that people with "odd" identities will surely change eventually. i know so many adult therians + people who id with xenogenders and it's rude to pretend that it's just a childish thing that people will get over eventually.
