See You Latte and A Hero’s Heart seem like my cup of tea (I say, as if I wouldn’t read anything you wrote) if you’re willing to share their WIPs?
Hi lovely! So sorry it took me a day to get to this, but I'd absolutely love to share! Play the WIP game with me!
See You Latte
It may sound exactly like what it is - a coffee shop au! This is actually one of the very first wips I had for aftg, and when I couldn't make it work the way I wanted it to I decided to temporarily scrap it. But I decided to return to it 'cause everyone needs their own little coffee shop au, right? Here's a little snibbit from it!
~*~
Letting out a sigh of irritation, Andrew’s eyes flicked upwards when the door opened again, nearly choking when he caught sight of who had just entered the small cafe, which was empty other than himself and two soccer moms sitting in the comfy armchairs by the window. The man who just entered was wearing the most horrendous thing he’d ever seen in his life: black sunglasses, gray hat, green sweater at least two sizes too large, white athletic shorts despite the fact there was snow outside and sneakers. He was so appalling to look at Andrew knew he’d ended up staring longer than was appropriate, especially when the man’s eyes caught his own while he waited for his own drink.
Quickly looking away and pretending he hadn’t just seen the fashion disaster of the century enter the quiet coffee shop, Andrew decided it didn’t matter what he was writing so long as he pretended he was busy. He quickly began to type out the worst dialogue he’d ever written in a panic, fingers hitting the keys harder than usual. But even as Andrew kept his eyes glued to his laptop, he couldn’t not notice the man walking towards him, stopping on the other side of the table.
“Hi,” the man greeted.
Andrew glanced up, fingers halting on the keys. He hadn’t looked closely enough to see the guy’s face, but now that he was Andrew found that he couldn’t look away. The man’s blue eyes were chilling in the best way, a crystal ice blue that could’ve pierced through his soul. Auburn curls flared out messily under the hat he wore, and on both his cheeks were noticeable scars. On his left were cuts that had healed almost crudely, and under his right eye the skin was puckered in burn marks. But despite them, the man was beautiful. Infuriatingly beautiful.
It was at about this moment Andrew remembered how gay he really is.
“Can I sit here with you?” the man asked with a smile. “I need to charge my phone.”
Andrew didn’t want a table partner, but he wasn’t feeling inspired at the moment, so if the guy was annoying he could just leave. He ended up nodding and mumbling out a “Yes,” deciding to take a sip of his own drink while the man sat down, plugging in his phone. Andrew tried to go back to his writing, managing to continue his terrible dialogue, sure that he wasn’t going to get anything productive done today. Despite the fact that the redhead wasn’t talking, he was still very distracting while he made no noise or move to start a conversation at all.
Andrew glanced at him once in a while, but the redhead never met his eyes. After a half hour of silence, a bit of inspiration came to him, and he ended up on a roll, typing a bit aggressively. All of a sudden two hours had passed and the redhead left with a small wave. For some reason the place felt emptier.
A Hero's Heart
I am a huge Zelda fan so of course I'm going to write a LOZ au at some point. One of my friends also really pushed this idea at me and I finally caved, deciding to write it. While it's inspired by LOZ and the lore of it, it's actually an original story that just so happens to take place in the LOZ universe? Kind of like what I did for my PJO au.
Basically, this fic is based off of my misunderstanding of the LOZ story when I was like 9. One of my friends attempted to explain it to me but I don't think she knew ANYTHING about LOZ so she just made it up to hold my attention? But anyways, when I was really little I used to think that Link and Zelda were siblings, and that Link was on a mission to save his sister. I decided to take that idea and run with it for this fic, having Andrew as the long-lost twin brother to Prince Aaron that only just discovered his heritage and is now being asked to save Hyrule. He's left without much choice to go on this adventure, meeting Neil along the way. The plot is still a big work in progress, but I'm excited about it, especially with the way I plan to incorporate the LOZ lore. Thanks for asking, lovely!

So Splatoon Community
I'm gonna vent my heart out, so I apologize in advance for the possible long text. Anyway.
Splatoon community is a funny one, one I cannot fathom to be even anywhere near. And yes, before anyone says or thinks anything, I am fully aware that all communities have their bad apples, but at least I can talk about anything easily to others in other communities. I can still find people interested in talking about characters or monster ecology in the Monster Hunter community, about the possibilities that New World might have in store for MH lore from here on out, it's not always having to deal with or partake in graphics or game mechanics discourse (World good, Rise bad. Old Gen good, new gen bad, etc.) Same with the Legend of Zelda community, I've made so many good friends in the past few years, and I'm forever grateful I can always talk to them about anything LoZ wise, lore, games, dungeons, NPCs, literally anything lol. Even smaller, more niche communities like Risk of Rain or Megaman.
But Splatoon? Oh boy. You have to deal with nothing but people's takes. You wanna talk about the lore? Nope, gotta deal with either people not interested in talking about that (like, the vast majority of the community), or the few that will only care about the lore as long as idol shipping is involved. It's been like what, 2 months since the release of Side Order, and I have not been able to sit and talk about the lore to anyone aside from small bits of venting here and there with friends that don't even play the game or are into it, even they seem more interested than the fandom. You wanna talk about gameplay? Gotta deal with most of the community making their opinions from splatoon youtube, heck, I even have to deal with people in the fandom that haven't even played a single game tell me I'm racist for picking Shiver on a Splatfest instead of Frye, whom I adore greatly.
I can't even bother looking for a Salmon Run farming gang, which has been my goal for months, because most of the people who play the mode are busy blaming others for their failure, including the Salmon Run influencers that made the guides and helpful content for free out of their love for the game, or just not as committed.
Long story short, can't talk about anything without people making it about a ship, can't talk about DLC lore without people making it about Pearlina, can't find myself a party that's willing to grind for hours on Salmon Run cause I'm prone to running into people complaining for a couple wave losses, I can't say I like A without being accused of hating B, when I never said that. Headcanons are also good, but god forbid if you ask people here to respect yours or don't overstep.
I'm tired. And I'll still get Deep Cut plushies one day, cause I love them. And Acht merch, if possible.

I wanna start brain vomiting here, but I need to get out of my own way
I've had this tumblr for years and never really got much farther than just reblogging and liking. I think I struggle with the way the site functions, I could never wrap my head around it, especially not being able to filter people's reblogs from their original content.
But here I am in adulthood with a brain that perpetually operates at 105%, constantly filled with a million and one thoughts, some deep analyses, some absolute shit.
“I want to talk about everything with at least one person as I talk about things with myself.”
― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, The Idiot
I started therapy a few years ago and have found myself quite the journaler, and this quote captures the 'thing' that keeps me coming back to the idea of writing here. Nothing professional, just a little blog of thoughts to share. I have friends who share my interests, but I can't always deep dive and hyperfixate for hours at a time with them. It's fun and I love them to death, but it can't happen all the time when the urge strikes. It's impractical, both for them and myself.
I think fandom as a broad concept is fascinating, I love seeing how people can breathe life back into media that only gives a fixed amount of content. When I recover from all this academic trauma and burnout, I think fandom and pop culture studies is something I might explore a bit more.
But exhaustion and ambitions aside, I like contributing to that process of bringing your own thoughts and baggage to art and watching how it gives so much more depth to it. Taking something and exploring every corner of it. I like giving, real, intense, thought to things. I like to dive into lore and think about character psychology and world building. I like to think about how the artistic choices in music and visuals contribute to it. I like to analyze dialogue and read into things and steep my brain in every element of it.
I like words, and I like using them to talk about things. I wanna do that here but I keep getting tripped up by the idea of curating the "perfect" blog and, god, it's fucking annoying. I have so many topics in my head that I've already mentally drafted out that just swim around up there and occupy space.
I wanna talk about love, grief, burnout, trauma, my life experiences that have contributed to who I am. I wanna talk about the LoZ timeline and lore, or this one fanfiction that is so exceptionally good that I will continue checking for updates no matter how long it takes, I wanna talk about music albums as collective works of art, I wanna talk about visual art and how, at the end of the day, most art is fan art and all elitists that say otherwise are missing out, I wanna talk about OSTs that rip my soul out, hold it tenderly, and put it back, I wanna talk about anime and TV shows and movies, write about my reviews and opinions, talk about the socio-cultural phenomenon that Hatsune Miku is.
I have so much shit I wanna talk about and all it does is stay tucked away in the attic of my brain just collecting dust but also still like...bouncing off the walls just trying to get out. I think writing essays in uni would've been more fun if we had more opportunities to talk about the things we cared about.
This post is a shit show and isn't much of anything for anyone, this is my attempt at getting over the idea of doing it "right" or "perfectly," it's my way of putting pencil to a blank paper, just to ruin the idea of perfection and just to get things moving.
I haven't shared my in-depth thoughts or my art consistently or with real intention on a public platform in years (did I mention I'm burnt out) so it's a bit weird thinking that people might see and read this and...I don't know, have a glimpse into my mind.
So yeah despite being on here since 2015? 16? 17? I suppose I'm pretty new to tumblr in a way. Bear with me as I try to get better at messily attempting things instead of trying to make something perfect before I even start it. I'll probably expand on so many all of the things I've mentioned here in the future :)

Final Fantasy 7 prompts #75 (FINAL LIST)
1. Iflana does not trust Cloud, not one bit. She can sense the calamity inside him and wants him to leave. Too bad both her husband and daughter seem enraptured by his very existence. Her husband rambling on about his mutated and 'safer' J-cells, as if that thing could ever be considered safe. Then it was her daughter, who seemed to take him in, as though he was no more than an injured bird needing treatment.
This thing would be the death of them. She just knew it.
2. "In my world its pretty rare for monsters to talk."
The large gray rabbit riding on his head paused to consider this, "Maybe they're just stupid?"
"Duh. They're basically wild animals. They're not really like you Loppy."
"Lopmon." The bunny creature corrected. Again.
Aka Cloud wakes up in the digital world as a twelve year old and has to find his friends...with the help of his partner digimon of course.
3. Genesis used to think mermaids were one of the most beautiful creatures in Ancient lore...until he saw a blond one swallow a fish whole. He wasn't so sure after that.
4. Au where Cloud and the remnants are escaped expiraments from a non-Shinra lab. They travel to Midgar and become mercenaries.
One of them winds up being captured, prompting the other three to rescue them, but they're otherwise preoccupied by normal human things they never got to experience. Loz loves donuts and other sweets, Yazoo adores taking long hot bathes, and Kadaj always seems to have headphones on, etc.
The holy trinity are shocked when the four don't recognize Sephiroth. Genesis also nearly has a heart attack when he catches them roasting a doomrat over an open flame. "You're not actually going to eat that, are you?"
5. Hojos alarm was triggered at three in the morning. Usually this wouldn't be an issue, creatures attempted to escape Shinras (and by extention his) clutches on a regular basis. They were usually recaptured or destroyed within the hour.
What was strange was the fact that this was Jenovas alarm. His goddess tended to not move much beyond bobbing up and down in her tank.
Upon checking the security feed, he witnessed something infuriating. A blond man was holding an armful of wildflowers and bossing around three silver haired teens as they dismantled her shrine and stole her away. Jenova herself seemed...interested? Approving? He wasn't sure, but it looked like she was cooing at them. Further analysis was required.
6. Time travel au, but the whole thing is from Hojos perspective and he suffers
7. Cloud and Reeve were having a discussion about Clouds Jenova abilities and why he never used them, which eventually lead Cloud to picking up a pebble and stating, "Its not like a can just force some of my life energy into a rock and make it a planet"
And then he did. Tfw
8. High fantasy, no materia au.
Magic is rarely seen in humans, rather a tool used by monsters. On the day Clouds mother is murdered his abilities awaken, creating a powerful snowstorm that ripped the town of Nebilhiem apart.
Ten years later and the storm rages on, having grown to cover nearly the entirety of the mountain, rendering communication with nearby kingdoms difficult and travel impossible.
The famed General Rhapsodous is sent to slay whatever great beast is causing this catastrophe. When he is faced with a young man living up there in complete isolation, he chooses to stay with the mysterious man until he can locate the monster.
What will become of Cloud once Genesis discovers the truth? After all, a witch is considered a form of monster.
9. "I should have just remained a puppet!"
Genesis mulled over the words as though they alone could unravel the mystery that is Strife.
Some part of the redhead felt a little bad about using the strange man's emotional outburst against him, but things were getting desperate...
10. Time traveler au where Genesis dresses in drag to save this "Tifa" girl from the Don. He then tries to get her to go to Shinra for questioning and is punched for his efforts
11. Cloud is thrown into a world where he never existed and Shinra still reigns supreme. Worse, he has no memory of who he is or how he got there (cause Jenova destroyed them). He only has his bike and his sword and begins traveling to find a purpose, all while avoiding Shinras detection.
He often stops at inns and rest stops and often sees the same group of people. The large man with a gun arm grew suspicious from seeing him everywhere they went.
___________________________
"Go away."
The knocking came again. "I know you're in there blondie." A gruff voice replied.
"I'm not gay."
The man on the other side of the door began sputtering. "Look," another voice began, "We just need to talk."
"Yeah. Sure. Talk." He said flatly. "In the middle of the night." He went over to the door anyway. Opening it revealed the man with a gun arm and another man with wild black hair.
"Zack?" The blond blurted, startled. What was one of Shinras Supreme doing out here?!
"You remember me!" The man beamed, "SOLDIER First Class Zack Fair, at your service! Now the real question!"
The man leaned down a bit to the mysterious blonds level, "Who are you?"
12. "Can you do it?" The softness of Denzels voice seemed to make the situation all the more horrifying. "Can you kill me?" Eerie mako green eyes stared up at where Cloud stood frozen.
Denzel pulled a knife from the block, "Or will your son kill you?"
Aka Seph plays mind games by possessing the kids from Advent Children and using them to torment Cloud and make him look like a lunatic
13. Cloud gets sent back in time/ alternate reality, ect. but gets turned into a white materia. He's careful not to roll around while people are looking, but that doesn't stop people from saying, "Hey, look! A materia! " and picking him up. He has no real power...other than apparently soothing anyone/anything he comes into contact with.
Strangely, he keeps getting slotted into bracers (among other things) regularly. Ya'll, he's so annoyed.
14. There were two of him. Two Sephiroths. The blond began regulating his breathing, desperately trying to ward off an ensuing panic attack. He wouldn't stand a chance if they decided to work together.
Luckily, one insulted the other and thus a catfight of epic proportions began, all while Cloud had a panic attack in some long forgotten closet.
15. Au where child Sephiroth overhears a scientist talking about her 'prayers being answered' and he asks her what that meant. After a brief explanation, he later prays to anyone who can hear him to get him out of the labs and/or away from Hojo.
It works.
Bonus: Cloud and Sephiroth were fighting again in the Midgar desert when Sephiroth slashed the air, creating a portal. He had intended to use it to appear behind his puppet and impale him again, but the blond rushed forward and slashed through the portal with his own sword, expecting the portal to disappear as he sailed through were it once was.
Unfortunately, it was still very much there. Just...different. Cloud wasn't given the chance to properly examine it before the feeling of being plunged into ice water overwhelmed him and he was spat out on the other side.
It was another desert, but not like the one he left. He could feel no life here. No plants, no animals, no...no lifestream. The only thing around is another version of him. One that was used and abandoned by the Sephiroth of this world.
The other blond stared at him in confusion, wielding twin sabers in a defensive position.

Thanks for answering
Hey I have a theory (That no one really talks) and it's :
Jaune is based on Link (TLOZ)
I have evidence to support it!
The Zelda Theory
This theory  tries to prove that Jaune Arc's real inspiration is Link from the Legend of Zelda Series and part of Cloud from the Final Fantasy Series using Joan of Arc and possibly King Arthur as a decoy to trick the audience
You may ask , Why a videogame? RWBY takes inspirations in Fairytales , Myths and History not Video Games
Look at Team FNKI for example being based on Memes and CVFY on foods so there's no real evidence to say video games and most specifically the 2 Most known Fantasy series didn't have something to do with Character inspiration
Let's start to explain this , I will show my proof  it's up to you to believe or not
Personality wise both are Young men who prefer to let their actions speak from them , both have an incredible weight on their shoulders and are not free from the Guilt of losing an Important person (Midna , Navi , The Champions (Mipha a Red Zora who had a Crush on Link) as Mirror to Pyrrha (A Redhead Champion who had a crush on him) and Penny)
But Jaune's true Core is inspired by Princess Zelda (BOTW) , A person who tries to improve on their own but fail and they have a constant reminder of their Failures , the thing that they could never be as Partners (Zelda had Link , Jaune had Pyrrha and his Team) as Time goes both learn to open themselves and by their own fails people close to them die (The Champions , The King of Hyrule and Pyrrha fit here) finally awakening that potential during their Hardest hour to protect someone (Zelda to save Link and Jaune to save Weiss) and both of them are Stubborn Blue eyes Blondes who always have a Champion following them wheter they like it or not , or Cloud with his Character arc Pick your poison
During Skyward Sword Link starts as a bad Swordfighter like Jaune , only using Sword and Shield as weapons as the time Progresses both become brave , find courage to face evil and better swordsmen in general , even Upgrading their own swords during the adventure , they even seek help from a Girl that has a Crush on them during the Adventure (Zelda and Pyrrha)
From here comes the Development from zero to hero
Maybe when Jaune will get his Final Upgrade he will get his own theme to close his own cycle
In Relationships Like always had a Partner that aids him on his Travels (Midna , Fi , Navi as major examples) Cloud his party , so does Jaune with Team RWBY and his own Team APLN and Neo
Now V9 could have a Mix of it being Neo a parallel to Talt and Midna (An "Enemy" that turns out to be a Great Friend/Crush)
Weapon wise it's pretty obvious even the Paraglider from Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild , but maybe that Sacred Sword that Link has "The Master Sword" will get an Equivalent as "The Sword of Destruction" a Sword created by a God , Although the Buster Sword and Crocea Mors (Iconic Weapons passed down that ended up damaged during the end of an arc)  to use swords with more tricks (The Fusion Sword being 7 Seven Swords in one)
And for finish this theory  I want to add that If V9 Giant Tree is a "Living" thing then the Theory has 80% to be true , being the Mysterious Dimension a reference to Koholint Island or Termina dealing with the Weight of losing someone and ending with coming to terms and try to move foward , or even be in a "Promised Land" where someone awaits for him
So Jaune and Neo being partners as a reference of Link and Talt (A Knight and A Fairy)
I know very little about LoZ lore. I havn’t played any of the games, so I will trust your analysis.
I will say:  Many characters have multiple allusions, and that’s great. Qrow is the Scarecrow from Oz and one of Odin’s ravens. It’s possible Jaune and Neo can be a part of an allusion together too.  Also, a Hero’s Sword does exist in Remnant, the Relic of Destruction
Which brings me to this new handy diagram:

why do you even like skyward sword zelda
Oooooo, anon you finna make my followers hate me even more since I don’t shut the fuck up about one beautiful sky Zelda. In short:
Tumblr media
In long? Well, I’ll place it under the read more. Juuuuust in case I do actually get super rambly ramble with this girl because I can like talk hours. Excuse the mistakes, I’ll get to editing them once I learn how to read again. I tend to go off when I ramble and not check anything until later on. Bear with me, please!
I’m not even sure where to start?! I suck at getting my thoughts out into cohesive enough reading pieces because ADHD is just hell brain going 755034 miles per minute and expecting everyone to keep up sometimes. I feel like everything I’ve said has been said before... but, I’m always totally ready to ramble once more because it’s something I can never be tired of and is very on-brand of me to yell about either sky or ALTTP Zelda. I’m just super passionate about these girls!
What drew me to Skyward Sword Zelda in the first place is the aesthetic of her game as well as her design as a whole. I remember seeing the trailer for SS drop and how hyped I was. The cel-shading was back with a vengeance with a nice combo of the art style we see in TP too rather than the more toon style with WW and I feel like it worked beautifully, the graphics for the game never fail to amaze me and I love the watercolor look they went with in both the official art and game! I knew I would love this Zelda and guess what, I was right in that because spoiler alert: I LOVED this Zelda the minute we were introduced to her. Not her first physical appearance because all we saw was her beautiful dress design... well, ok this did help in making me love this girl. BUT her first introduction as to who she is as a character in the letter sent to Link. She’s cheeky in the letter and it gives us this sense that the two of them really are on a more familiar level with each other, compared to every other relationship with Zelda and Link where they are strangers bound by fate to save Hyrule. It’s very simple, a few sentences but all that simplicity painted a good enough sense as to what we were in for with Zelda and her friendship with Link.
HOOOOOOO BOY HOOOO BOY!!! And then we see her, and we see Link smiling at her like it’s the first time seeing her ever despite seeing her yesterday. And gosh, she’s just a charming character overall!! She’s funny, someone who likes to tease others and carries a strong sense of justice! She can be pushy (literally and figuratively speaking) but she does mean well by the end of the day and is aggressive in showing support for you! She’s an optimist mostly for friends because she thinks that things will turn out alright for her friends and she wishes that they can see the same too so often she will encourage them. She’s not a princess. She’s very ordinary here, and that ordinariness illustrates both Sky and Tetra best because of how lighthearted and open they are. Granted they’re not super lax and are still very responsible like all Zeldas but they’re pretty informal and I love that about them!
Sky Zel is someone who’s pretty straightforward, she has no issue with letting both her body and facial expression do the talking for her as such she doesn’t really hide much. She’s an open book of sorts all while being someone who expresses her mind and isn’t roundabout in saying things, she has no issue with calling you out as shown with how she called out Groose and his bullying on Link. On top of that, she does call out Link a few times too depending on the choices you give in-game! Skyward Sword did an excellent job in making Sky Zel so likable and adding nuance to her relationship with Link through the little things in the first few minutes of the game and it’s like, damn you kinda wanna see her again all safe and happy!
It reminds me of how Wind Waker starts off with Aryll and Link having a wholesome brother-sister bond and it motivates you to rescue her because you’re sure that Link wants to see Aryll home safe and happy again with Grandma.
It’s a shame how we don’t see her journey throughout the game and see how she becomes the more melancholic, wise girl we see during her scene where she falls asleep for over 1000+ years or the full extent of her relationship with Impa either because I’m sure those two had a pretty good bond going too for Zelda to react like that during the end where Impa fucking dies hweoh. That’s another thing too, there’s a whole other layer to Sky aside from Genki. Yes, she’s cheery and seems like your typical anime heroine but keep in mind that she was Hylia, a goddess who fought for her people to protect them, the lands, and the Triforce. She was in a war, she had to see so many of her people die that she loved and vowed to protect because of one demon’s greed to have the power of the gods. Hylians were weak back then, Demise says this straight up. So death was very likely in those days.
She had to endure a lot during that time, once Zelda’s memories of her past life came back she grew up from that girl we see at the beginning of the game. It’s also worth noting, that Zelda and Hylia have different mindsets. She may have her memories back but that doesn’t really mean she’s back to being Hylia fully before she became mortal. I’ve talked about it before but Zelda, with her ordinary background, grew up surrounded by love. In other words, she has a more compassionate heart than she did as a goddess. Gods and deathless beings overall have a long lifespan, they tend to forget about morals and how humans worked. While Hylia did love her people and the lands her love is different from mortals as such it can be very painful. I mean *gestures to Sky Link* there you go. It’s why she’s so remorseful of her actions... but the ending scene where she tells Link she wants to live on The Surface tells me that there are still shades of that playful gremlin we saw in the first half of Skyward Sword. She’s someone who’s hopeful for tomorrow but likes to live in the now and make a brighter tomorrow. She won’t hide away from the past, willing to admit to her mistakes and refusing to make excuses, but she won’t let it define her either and will instead grow from it. She wants to protect the people she loves and the world she loves much like she did in her past life but with more empathy with that love!
I think that’s all for her as a character aside from one more thing to add:
It’s cool to me how she’s not a princess, but a literal Goddess. She’s legit Hylia. So she’s unique in that aspect and she serves as an explanation as to why the royal family even has divine powers because her blood is passed down to them. I don’t buy fanon theory that all Zeldas are reincarnations of Hylia, I think Sky is the rare case of Zelda reincarnating. There’s no evidence to support either theory because Nintendo tends to be open-ended in their lore for the most part... although Demise makes it a point to say “those with the blood of the goddess” rather than the “spirit of the goddess” like he does with Link which is something that Ghirahim and Demise wanted from Zelda, aka the Spirit Maiden, to bring Demise’s form back from the seal Hylia placed on him. Her very soul has divinity to it.
On top of that, in BOTW it’s explained that the sealing power has been passed down and that Zelda’s mother knew how to use it as did her grandmother and so on. So... with that in mind how on earth is Hylia around for both those ladies and the current Zelda we see in BOTW if every Zelda ever is the reincarnation of her? On top of that BOTW Zel says in her diary that she had a dream where a woman in white tried to call out to her so??? Huh? What? It creates a plot hole if you think every Zelda is Hylia reincarnating. And sort of takes away the fun headcanon of Zeldas interacting in the Spirit Realm. That said, I’d like to think her presence is eternal through the powers that become unlocked rather than Hylia herself. If that makes sense? It’s not literally Hylia reincarnating but a connection made with her. This might not be making much sense haha. But! Reincarnation is a thing I do think is possible in LOZ since BOTW does say this but I don’t think it’s not as straightforward as fandom thinks it is and I’d like to think it’s more nuanced. People tend to cite Avatar sometimes and ehhhhh. No.
But that’s just me on that one.
ANYWAY THAT IS ALL THANKS FOR COMING TO THIS RAMBLE

Alright, I think i’m done BOTW 2 spamming for today. Anywho, time for some thoughts in general!
1) I hated how the shrines in BOTW were so cold and dark compared to the bright and lively nature outside (I wish they had all looked like the Master Trials challenge where there were trees and stuff incorporated inside), so I hope if we’re forced to have dungeons they’ll be more like the Wind Waker ones. 2) I hope they don’t make us use the grappling hook or anything like in Wind Waker to move around the sky islands (I hated that mechanic). 3) I’m probably one of the few people who wanted less Zelda and more of the Champions in HWAOC since i’m only really attached to BOTW (and we saw a fair amount of Tetra in Wind Waker)/apparently Zelda’s been sidelined in all the other games, so i’m hoping in vain that we get more Champions material in BOTW 2. Also, Link could stand to have some more cutscenes centered around him as well (the few we got in some of the sidequests in BOTW were great). 4) I only really somewhat care about Riju and Sidon, so I won’t mind if the new gang gets sidelined in BOTW 2 (I still think Nintendo wasted the found family/band of brothers aspect on the dead characters--I love them so much and they’re all I want!! The problem is, they’re dead and I don’t really care all that much about their replacements!!! I dunno, maybe i’m hampered by the fact that I can replay the original champions’ memories whenever I want/read their diaries, but I can’t rewatch the new gang’s cutscenes AKA i’ve forgotten their characterization since they don’t talk to me much now that the game’s over). It’d be great if they have some weaving storylines in BOTW 2 that will get me more invested in them, but currently i’m not that interested. 5) Speaking of which, I know it’s 100% not going to happen, but goddang if I don’t want the Champions to have been returned to life. Nintendo totally squandered HWAOC by not making it a true prequel/canon to BOTW (the Champions Ballad confirmed that the Divine Beasts had trials in order to be synced to the champs, so the new gen use of them wouldn’t have happened without that + Mipha thought Link had changed in BOTW yet says in HWAOC that he hasn’t changed + some scenes like “Champion Revali’s Song” never happened at all/got replaced with alternative scenes that really changed some dynamics + basically all of Revali’s time-relative characterization from his diary/pre-100 years of solitude got thrown out + I feel like Daruk got totally sidelined), so i’m still craving that Champions content. Also, I feel like it’s totally unfair that Zelda came out of 100 years totally unaged while everyone else died. Life seems to really suck for people in the LoZ universe who aren’t chosen by divine powers. 6) They’d better keep it open world and non-linear. I can’t go back to being forced to backtrack/trudge through things, I just can’t. BOTW was everything i’ve ever dreamed about in a game (truly open world + non-linear + interactive + meaningful story + lots of outfits + beautiful landscapes) with Skyrim previously being the only thing that came close to what I wanted, so I really hope BOTW 2 doesn’t deviate too much from that. 7) I really liked Kass in BOTW, but i’m not sure what direction they’d go with him in BOTW 2/i’d be fine if he sat BOTW 2 out. I worked so hard to complete all his quests in BOTW so he’d go back home to his family, GODDANGIT, KASS. 8) Someone mentioned that since the first trailer had underground aspects, we’re probably going to be playing as Zelda with the Slate there, and I agree. They didn’t make a playable model for her in HWAOC for nothing. 9) I want to be able to stable the deer and bears and stuff, but I know that won’t happen. Being able to ride the moose and rhino things from the Hebra area probably won’t happen either, but I want to ride them!!! 10) I hope there’ll be at least a few new buildings and stuff in the towns/they’ve started construction on some areas in Central Hyrule, but I guess that’ll depend on how long it’s been in-universe since BOTW. Or maybe not, considering how there’s still Karson and Hudson even though Bolson retired from Bolson Construction--insta-towns like Tarrey Town could totally be feasible if they wanted! 11) I have one foot in the camp that believes there’ll be time shenanigans in BOTW 2. HWAOC totally threw me off with it being an alternate timeline, so i’m not sure whether we’re going to be experiencing that again or time travel itself, but I definitely won’t be surprised this time around if Nintendo goes that route again (and it would be super interesting to see the Link from 10,000 years ago). I’m not entirely convinced that the Link we see exploring the sky in the second trailer isn’t our Link, mainly because he seems to still have on the blue boxers from BOTW. 12) I also heard that maybe this will be the last LoZ game ever since something something Demise something Skyward Sword something something lore from games i’ve only vaguely looked into (i’ve only ever played BOTW --> Wind Waker --> HWAOC)??? If so, it kind of sucks that I came in just when they started making games with playstyles palatable to me (I had to look up every single thing when playing Wind Waker, but BOTW let me solve things according to MY logic/I missed being able to explore in HWAOC), but at least it’ll end on a super high note/I won’t experience later disappointment, I guess. If BOTW 2 involves breaking the reincarnation cycle for the Triforcers, I would be really surprised. (On a related note, Nintendo making Ganondorf good would also be a 100% shock to me, but it would be great to end on that as a subversion. Yes, I want them to bring back the semi-complicated Ganondorf from Wind Waker.) 13) I hope they don’t rush releasing it. I heard they pushed back BOTW originally (I got it in 2019), but it came out fantastic for it! I know COVID’s been affecting things, so I really hope they’re treating their staff right and are mindful of crunch. 14) I want even more outfits (there seem to be at least two new ones, if the variant of the Hylian Tunic crossed with Link’s Champion’s Tunic counts). Give me all the outfits!!! Also, I hope we get even more hair variations in addition to the hair down option (which is all i’ve ever wanted since I saw the mod that altered the Ancient Helmet). 15) I wonder if we’re going to get a bonus for having both BOTW and HWAOC save data. 16) I wonder if we’re going to be keeping the Champions’ skills. I’m going to miss being super overpowered, if not. 17) I hope Nintendo doesn’t cave in and make surfaces climbable in the rain. Having that limiter is more realistic and Link would otherwise be too overpowered with a super climbing ability. 18) I liked BOTW’s scattered music that got more noticeable in populated areas because it was fitting for the post-apocalyptical/nature aspect. Hearing your footsteps in an open field and the buzzing of insects was super nice and prevented me from getting music fatigue (which i’d probably experience since whenever I play BOTW it’s for 5-10 hours at a time). I hope Nintendo either keeps that or makes audio options. 19) I heard that BOTW 2 is going to be super dark or something, and i’m okay with dark, but not GRIMdark, so I hope it doesn’t go that far. From what we’ve seen in the second trailer it still looks beautiful, but I hope it doesn’t do that thing that some games do where after the midpoint/a certain story point all the scenery permanently changes to be dark and scary (that’ll seriously hamper post-game playability for me if so). 20) If they expand on the Zonai, that would be super cool! Doubly cool if the time travel shenanigans involve them/ancient Link being one! 21) I kind of want windstorms to be a weather feature. We had lightning, heat, and cold, but no wind! No, I don’t count the wind geysers and the occasional breeze in Tabantha. 22) I want a chest in my house to hold more weapons than just the gear mounts. BOTW only had enough mounts for the champions’ gear, but it also had rare items like the Kite Shield and Forest Dweller’s Sword that you can’t get anymore once you use them up! 23) I want to be able to stable my horses at my house. What’s the point of that little area if you can’t stable your horse there! 24) Speaking of Link’s house: where is Zelda going to live? If the castle’s not reconstructed, it’d be neat if Link adds an extension to his house for her. 25) I hope they open up part-time jobs (think Mabinogi) as an option to earn rupees. Having to hunt for Luminous Stone deposits or feed Trott to make money can be such a chore. I think some of BOTW’s minigames/sidequests might count as those, but those minigames were either frustrating if your goal is to earn money (since most of them cost money to play in the first place and the mechanics weren’t always easy), or didn’t earn that much in general. 26) I wonder if Kilton is going to have updated items since the monsters seem to have changed. 27) I want to be able to dive underwater (mainly so I can explore the beautiful reefs over at Lurelin). A dive meter like the one from Super Mario Sunshine would be cool. Also, it’d doubly be neat if you had a separate stamina wheel for swimming and could permanently upgrade your swim/diving stamina (the speed+ swimming items just consumed your stamina faster, which was a pain)! 28) It’s definitely too late for this, but it’s a shame that the Hylians have so many face/body/hair and outfit variations, but the Zora, Rito, and Gorons don’t. The Gerudo were kind of okay with the hair and body variations, but the other races seemed to have a serious copy-paste problem. I guess technically some of the more important NPCs (ones with quests/cutscene triggers) had different coloring, but they were severely lacking in clothing variation. Also, the only old Rito was the elder??? At least the Gorons and Zora had some old folks besides their leader walking around. Very weird, but I don’t think BOTW 2 can fix any of this. 29) I wonder how they’re going to do the final boss battle, considering how epic/cinematic the BOTW 2x battle was. What can top fighting (on horseback, no less) a giant, flaming boar made out of malice? 30) I wonder what the Yiga are going to be up to, considering how Ganondorf seems to be somewhat kicking in BOTW 2.

How much BOTW have you played? Have you been playing it a lot recently?
the video game or our BOTW tabletop homebrew?
video game, idk! i feel like a lot and not at the same time. the person i bought our switch from put like 300 hrs or something into it (which now it shows his and my hours combined and makes it seem like a ridiculous amount) which is wild and we still have ganon and a couple dlc quests to go.
but i'm learning a lot of zelda lore and stuff i never got as a kid! (we were a strictly playstation and original gameboy house) we recently beat twilight princess which was really fun and cool even if i found the wii controls cumbersome. loved it! and we're working on link's awakening on switch.
for our botw campaign, we try to play once a week (though even if you all live in the same house it's still hard sometimes to make that happen). we've been going for a year and a half and have 50+ sessions recorded! @zenrawings is an amazing gm and i think it's funny that we didn't really enjoy dnd together until we learned that fjord prefers gming and i would much MUCH rather be playing a character.
i've done that all with my character, syxmet. a zora with a storied past that's a fighter class who recently multiclassed as a barbarian--a development that might have some ties with Demise, yuh-oh.
but this last weekend we went camping and played a lot of botw for a shorter campaign. i played the sheikah warforged, e.k.o., whom i can now talk about since secrets have been revealed in gameplay. her pronouns are she/her but she didn't know that at the start because she was literally made like a month ago. she's baby! her class is also druid, but with some techno warforged twists on them (i.e. the druid feat wild shape means she turns into a different animal, but like Transformers style and less magical and she weighs the same through transformations. also her connection to nature is actually a connection to the sheikah network and she was originally created to help uncover sheikah towers).
also sometime i'm gonna make a version of autumn as a gerudo, but officially roll her out.
it's been fun learning about this cultural icon of a franchise through the older games and through our tabletop. i really see why people love it and i enjoy the hell out of it.
ask @zenrawings about their campaigns or intensive lore/headcanons with loz, or @is-mise-ivory about their ocs burr or acanthis that have been my ocs' wonderfulpartners in crime throughout this, if you want to know more!

hey i’m abby, its 2:30 am, and welcome to my hour long ted talk about my zora ocs whoops
under the cut i talk about my botw zora ocs cause i love them and i never get to talk about them so here
(please note i haven’t fully delved into the loz lore so if parts of their backstory doesn’t seem like it could match up then i’m sorry fjdkd i also have only played twilight princess so forgive me)
Mala:
Mala’s a Zora from out of the domain, who was placed in Hyrule by her late mother who had rushed her out of their ransacked, poacher infested village and hoped she’d find her way to the domain before fleeing; ultimately resulting in her death. Mala, being a scared and stubborn child, stayed on the beach she was placed and never made it to the domain, and by the time she was old enough to understand her mother’s wishes, she was too scared to present herself to such a large group after being alone so long.  In order to feel like she has a purpose, she takes aquatic mercenary jobs, like slaying monsters that plague parts of the waters the domain can’t reach, or even sometimes clearing the place out before the the domain’s reinforcements get there. Despite her large and intimidating size for a female Zora, she’s very docile and sweet, always ready to lend a hand.
Some facts:
- Is completely colorblind; only sees in white/black/grey hues.
- Has severe lightning scaring on her right arm and right side of her chest, due to grabbing a shock arrow in defense.
- Covered in scars from mercenary trips. A part of her lip is missing from bashing her face once on a rocky beach.
- Loves seaglass, despite not seeing their color, and decorates herself in them with pearls and opals. Likes their shine and texture.
- Is a Black Tip Reef shark (mothers side) and Megalodon shark (fathers side) mix, which explains her huge size.
Lorelei:
Lorelei is a domain resident who was quite conflicted in her past. Despite training to be part of the guard, she had also wanted to pursue her love of music. Eventually during her adult years, she decided to venture out of the domain, and nearly out of Hyrule, to seek further training in music (singing, instruments of all kind, you name it). However, she had been taken while out on her travels, and the poachers had taken her fins to sell. She barely made it out with her life, and resided with the Gerudo for some time out of fear. When she had made her way back to the domain, she had been wearing modified Gerudo clothing to hide away her scars, and her bubbly personality had gone. Paranoid and skittish, she refuses to talk about her travels to most people. Now handicapped in swimming, her hopes of being a skilled guard are now low and now seeks music as a comfort.
Some facts:
- Is a Dwarf Lionfish, which explains her smaller size.
- Even though her swimming skill is limited, shes still able to breathe underwater like a normal Zora.
- Excels at string instruments, like the lute. Can sing but is always bashful.
- Very nimble and acrobatic.
Kaimana:
Kai is actually the Zora version of Rosewood, a Hylian witch. Rosewood was able to figure out how to enchant masks that could alter ones entire body to the race they choose.
Some facts:
- Is a Fingered Dragonet.
- Very flashy.
- Bioluminescent!

rules: answer the questions and tag 20 blogs you want to get to know better (I’m a loser I don’t know 20 people)
name: Ariel/Nasa family name: can we just delete this that’s like basic internet safety shit star sign: Taurus height: 5′4″ age: 25 (I’m old) fave Color: Blue time rn: 10:53 am hours of sleep: since BotW came out, not nearly enough hahahaha
lucky number: don’t have one? last thing i googled: Mohs Hardness Scale. I’m a grade A nerd. Dunno why I bothered I remembered all the relevant stuff anyways. I think I wanted to see if there were any minerals that could pass as quartz that were harder than it that were likely to be sold as fake quartz crystals.  fave fictional character: Ha. Too long of a list.  blankets i sleep with: 4 counting the sheet in the winter. 0-2 during the summer
favorite artists: Dunno. @ferisae is def my favorite Tumblr artist though. Art goals, man. dream trip:  Anywhere there’s something interesting geology wise. Hawaii is near the top though. dream job: Park Ranger, although every now and again I want to be an Astronaut again. Wouldn’t go over well though, I’ve learned I don’t do so well in isolation what are you wearing right now: work uniform follower count: 50!!!!! *throws confetti* I’d do a 50-follower-special thing but I’m already doing a special thing next month so sorry @kitterahsdollhouse posts: 768 what do you post about: RPs, asks, art and stories, and occasionally fourth wall breaking commentary on zelda games and nintendo news most active followers: idk man when did your blog reach its peak: what’s a peak why did you make this blog: to develop the boys as characters so that once they appear in the comic it won’t be a trainwreck do you get asks on a daily basis: nope. I tend to hoard asks over a few month’s period and answer them all at once why did you choose your url: I wanted something that could encompass all of the boys and somehow this wasn’t taken countries you’ve lived in:USA
favorite fandom: Eh idk. I will talk about theories and lore and characters and such at length for LoZ, Sailor Moon, and Miraculous Ladybug, but I don’t really jump into the actual fandom spaces so much. I inhabit a quiet little corner filled with reasonable people and look at pretty arts and read fanfic, and really only engage in discussion with individuals I trust not to go crazy about shit. languages you speak: Just English, although I really should work on my Spanish. The fact that it’s so terrible is pretty lousy considering where I live and how often I need it favorite film: ATLANTIS: THE LOST EMPIRE. Lookin' for RPs 'n' Stuff
<b>Name:</b> Shroom <b>Age:</b> 22 <b>Timezone:</b> MST
<b>About Me:</b> I'm an animation student in the grand ole state of Utah with a deep-seated passion for high fantasy and sci-fi roleplay. I've been roleplaying off and on for somewhere around 10 years.
<b>Genres I'm Into:</b> <b>High Fantasy</b>--my first and true love. Dragons, elves, magic, killin' stuff--it's all good. I like to build my fantasy worlds from the ground-up--original species, lore, environments, etc. etc. It's even better if you take equal part in creating our world. <b>Sci-Fi.</b> I'm a little new to the genre, but I'm becoming rather fond of it. Robots, aliens, cool guns, more killin' stuff--yes, yes, yes. I like it all. Like with High Fantasy, I prefer to design our roleplay world from top to bottom. <b>Sci-Fi/Fantasy Fusion.</b> A little hard to explain, but I'll do my best. The best comparison I can give is to James Cameron's Avatar: super tech'd-up humans show up on an alien planet where the natives use magic. Racial tension and killin' stuff ensues. This is, of course, only one example. There are plenty of ways to mix these two beautiful genres together. <b>Post-Apocalyptic/Fantasy Fusion.</b> Again, a little hard to explain. There are two settings in this genre that I've tried so far: first, a highly-developed Earth AU inhabited by both humans and fantasy creatures experiences a nuclear and magical fallout. Stuff gets mutated, people go crazy, and there's lots of killin' things. Second, a fantasy world experiences a surge in whatever magic governs it. The human inhabitants are transformed into strange, twisted versions of themselves and fights break out among the newly-created races. Stuff gets killed. <b>Fantasy Parody.</b> If you've read anything by Terry Pratchett, you know what I'm talking about. Just a whole lot of nonsense and absurd characters in a fantasy setting.
<b>Some Other Stuff You Should Know:</b> I like <b>Romance.</b> Who doesn't, amirite? There are a few caveats to this, however: <b>1.</b> I don't smut. Ever. Kissing's fine, cuddling's fine, but I draw the line there. If I were to ever get to the point where a sex scene was even a remote possibility, it'd be fade-to-black. Am I likely to let things get to that point. Not on your life. But we can still have a great roleplay without getting all weird and horny and stuff, so please don't let my prudishness deter you. <b>2.</b> Romance isn't my top priority. If it happens naturally, that's awesome! If we want a romance, I'll work with you to create a character that will be compatible with yours. But I won't force something that obviously isn't happening, and I will get so bored if the romance takes over the entire plot. Some of my favorite roleplays haven't even strayed close to any kind of romance, and they were still amazing. <b>3.</b> I prefer M/F. I've tried M// and F// and I just plain suck at it. I am apparently so straight that I can't even pretend to be gay. If you want to play an LGBT/non-binary character, by all means! Just be aware that I probably won't be able to write a romance with them. <b>Violence.</b> YESSSSSS (if you hadn't already figured that out). I really don't have any limits here. <b>Language.</b> I won't use it, but I don't mind if you do <i>within reason.</i> I trust that you can figure out what that means.
<b>The Stuff I'm Not Into/Will Not Do:</b> Smut. Slice of Life. Urban/Modern Fantasy <b>Unless you already have an amazing plot idea that I totally love.</b> Most Fandom Stuff except the very short list below
I don't feel like writing a novel here so if you have questions just ask.
<b>Fandoms:</b> If someone wanted to do a <b>Pokemon Mystery Dungeon</b> roleplay I might just die of happiness. Explorers of Sky is my favorite. I'm familiar with all of the Pokeymans through Gen 6 and I kind of know stuff about Gen 7. <b>Legend of Zelda</b> I've never tried a LoZ roleplay before, but I do love the games oh so much so I could probably do it if you don't mind holding my hand while I figure out how to do a fandom roleplay.
<b>Post Length and Frequency:</b> My average reply is about two paragraphs, 3rd person past-tense. Sometimes I'll give you a novel, but that's usually only if I'm trying to move the story along. I don't believe in word count just for the sake of word count. If I can express an idea succinctly, I will.
I try to reply as many times in a day as I can. I do have some semblance of a life (shocking, I know) but I'm on a computer or my phone most of the day so I can usually reply within a few hours if not minutes.
<b>What I Look For in a Partner:</b> I'd like someone who can match me in reply length and frequency. Reply frequency is less important than length; if you don't roleplay during every waking hour, that's probably healthy. I'll totally love you if we do roleplay every waking hour, though.
I don't want to be the only one carrying the story and coming up with ideas. I want to be surprised by you and your ideas.
I'd like to be friends. I like to chat and I have some comment to make after pretty much every post I make. I also like to make art of my roleplay stuff and will probably bombard you with rp doodles.
<b>Contact:</b> <b>shroommuu</b> (skype--i answer most quickly here, and i also prefer roleplay here. please include your name in your contact request) <b>[email protected]</b> (i am fine roleplaying over email, but would prefer that we have some kind of chat client so we can plot and chat and so on. google docs is also fine if supplemented with a chat client.) I have literally no idea how livejournal works so please don't contact me here because I won't know how to respond to you.

Seeking long-term partner for original rp (and like 2 fandoms)
Name: Shroom
Age: 22
Timezone: MST
About Me: I’m an animation student in the grand ole state of Utah with a deep-seated passion for high fantasy and sci-fi roleplay. I’ve been roleplaying off and on for somewhere around 10 years.
Genres I’m Into:
High Fantasy–my first and true love. Dragons, elves, magic, killin’ stuff–it’s all good. I like to build my fantasy worlds from the ground-up–original species, lore, environments, etc. etc. It’s even better if you take equal part in creating our world.
Sci-Fi. I’m a little new to the genre, but I’m becoming rather fond of it. Robots, aliens, cool guns, more killin’ stuff–yes, yes, yes. I like it all. Like with High Fantasy, I prefer to design our roleplay world from top to bottom.
Sci-Fi/Fantasy Fusion. A little hard to explain, but I’ll do my best. The best comparison I can give is to James Cameron’s Avatar: super tech’d-up humans show up on an alien planet where the natives use magic. Racial tension and killin’ stuff ensues. This is, of course, only one example. There are plenty of ways to mix these two beautiful genres together.
Post-Apocalyptic/Fantasy Fusion. Again, a little hard to explain. There are two settings in this genre that I’ve tried so far: first, a highly-developed Earth AU inhabited by both humans and fantasy creatures experiences a nuclear and magical fallout. Stuff gets mutated, people go crazy, and there’s lots of killin’ things. Second, a fantasy world experiences a surge in whatever magic governs it. The human inhabitants are transformed into strange, twisted versions of themselves and fights break out among the newly-created races. Stuff gets killed.
Fantasy Parody. If you’ve read anything by Terry Pratchett, you know what I’m talking about. Just a whole lot of nonsense and absurd characters in a fantasy setting.
Some Other Stuff You Should Know:
I like Romance. Who doesn’t, amirite? There are a few caveats to this, however:
1. I don’t smut. Ever. Kissing’s fine, cuddling’s fine, but I draw the line there. If I were to ever get to the point where a sex scene was even a remote possibility, it’d be fade-to-black. Am I likely to let things get to that point. Not on your life. But we can still have a great roleplay without getting all weird and horny and stuff, so please don’t let my prudishness deter you.
2. Romance isn’t my top priority. If it happens naturally, that’s awesome! If we want a romance, I’ll work with you to create a character that will be compatible with yours. But I won’t force something that obviously isn’t happening, and I will get so bored if the romance takes over the entire plot. Some of my favorite roleplays haven’t even strayed close to any kind of romance, and they were still amazing.
3. I prefer M/F. I’ve tried M// and F// and I just plain suck at it. I am apparently so straight that I can’t even pretend to be gay. If you want to play an LGBT/non-binary character, by all means! Just be aware that I probably won’t be able to write a romance with them.
Violence. YESSSSSS (if you hadn’t already figured that out). I really don’t have any limits here.
Language. I won’t use much of it, and I don’t mind if you do within reason. I trust that you can figure out what that means.
The Stuff I’m Not Into/Will Not Do:
Smut.
Slice of Life.
Urban/Modern Fantasy Unless you already have an amazing plot idea that I totally love.
Most Fandom Stuff except the very short list below
I don’t feel like writing a novel here so if you have questions just ask.
Fandoms:
If someone wanted to do a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon roleplay I might just die of happiness. Explorers of Sky is my favorite. I’m familiar with all of the Pokeymans through Gen 6 and I kind of know stuff about Gen 7.
Legend of Zelda I’ve never tried a LoZ roleplay before, but I do love the games oh so much so I could probably do it if you don’t mind holding my hand while I figure out how to do a fandom roleplay.
Post Length and Frequency: My average reply is about two paragraphs, 3rd person past-tense. Sometimes I’ll give you a novel, but that’s usually only if I’m trying to move the story along. I don’t believe in word count just for the sake of word count. If I can express an idea succinctly, I will.
I try to reply as many times in a day as I can. I do have some semblance of a life (shocking, I know) but I’m on a computer or my phone most of the day so I can usually reply within a few hours if not minutes.
What I Look For in a Partner:
I’d like someone who can match me in reply length and frequency. Reply frequency is less important than length; if you don’t roleplay during every waking hour, that’s probably healthy. I’ll totally love you if we do roleplay every waking hour, though.
I don’t want to be the only one carrying the story and coming up with ideas. I want to be surprised by you and your ideas.
I’d like to be friends. I like to chat and I have some comment to make after pretty much every post I make. I also like to make art of my roleplay stuff and will probably bombard you with rp doodles.

Overall BotW Thoughts
Finished the story a couple days ago, thought I’d put out my overall thoughts on this game on “paper” so they’re not flooding my brain.
Spoilers ahead, and I’m fully prepared to discuss any issues people have with my thoughts after playing for ~100 hours.
I did like the puzzles and the idea of experimentation, especially since the Runes helped a lot with both of them. I do think I would've enjoyed this game more if it had more of the traditional dungeons with the same puzzles that required depth and thinking. If it was more like Twilight Princess 2.0 rather than Majora’s Mask 2.0 it would've felt more like a Zelda game to me, I think. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like Majora's Mask and I appreciate the references, but having more dungeons with interconnected Shrine puzzles and everything would've been a lot of fun for me.
The big open overworld was fantastic, though, it was definitely what Ocarina of Time was trying to accomplish way back then but obviously much better. Though I would've liked more variation in the overworld music, or at least stuff more akin to the Hyrule/Termina Field theme.
Combat bothers me; I feel like they could've done something where Link (re)learns Hidden Skills through the memories. Like the flashbacks with the Champions where they teach him a certain move or something: Mipha would teach you Shield Bash (a defensive attack based on her healer role), Daruk teaches you the Jump Strike, Urbosa the Back Slice, and Revali the Helm Splitter. Experimentation with fighting I get, but the bombs don't do as much damage as I'd like and fluid combat is fun.
Money is kind of weird, since I didn't really sell anything in the early-to-mid-game for fear of needing the stuff I'd be selling. But I think it wasn't as bad as I was expecting, especially with Hyrule in ruins for a century.
Weapon durability (while understandable due to Hyrule being what it is and the idea of experimentation, etc.) wore out quickly. Sometimes you just want a good weapon to carry you through the whole game coughMasterSwordcough I mean, fuck, SS had shield durability and the Hylian Shield was literally invincible. Here it's still got durability and you have to do a lengthy sidequest to buy a replacement for 3K.
If the Master Sword regenerated before it ran out of energy I wouldn't complain, because then you'd be able to use it practically forever while still managing your usage of it without having to run around for 10 minutes worrying about breaking your other good weapons while waiting for it to recharge. This goes for the Champions’ Powers, as well, come to think of it.
Speaking of, it'd be nice to have a concrete durability meter/number for each weapon, as opposed to just seeing when it's "not new" or "badly damaged". @codyscommandpost brought up the idea of being able to forge and/or upgrade your weapons, which I think would’ve been cool.
Being able to store weapons somewhere outside of that long sidequest would've been nice, too, so I don't have to worry about being forced to use the Champions' weapons. And buying weapons, too, so you’re not facing Silver variants of enemies with low-powered swords.
Clothing upgrading is fine, I do wish you could see what materials you need to upgrade each item to next level in your item screen without needing to run to a Great Fairy Fountain. To be fair those are all right near Shrines so it's not awful, but still.
Another thing: need dragon parts to upgrade your Champion's Tunic/X of the Wild? Too bad it's semi-random when/where they'll show up and you can only get one piece per day so better hope you aim right!
I did like how the game kept track of quests and stuff for you automatically, that's a really nice thing in the large LoZ game like that. It was a little annoying not having the marker on the place you need to go to complete something, as opposed to the person you talk to in order to start/complete the quest.
Calamity Ganon’s first form was somewhat unexpected. The fight itself was more trouble that it ought to be, especially the second phase.
A wonderful, atmospheric, and explorative video game. It kind of falls down the ranking for me as a Legend of Zelda game, but it’s not on the lower end of the scale. It has flaws that, while understandable in terms of lore and gameplay (at least in terms of the developers’ intent for how to play it), hampered my experience more than they enhanced it. I can see where the praise comes from but personally I think I would’ve enjoyed this game more if it stuck more to the traditional Legend of Zelda experience while still sticking to the mix of sandbox and RPG elements that make this game new and interesting.
Overall Rating: 8.5 - 9 / 10 (It’s teetering right on the border, tbh)
