So Splatoon Community
I'm gonna vent my heart out, so I apologize in advance for the possible long text. Anyway.
Splatoon community is a funny one, one I cannot fathom to be even anywhere near. And yes, before anyone says or thinks anything, I am fully aware that all communities have their bad apples, but at least I can talk about anything easily to others in other communities. I can still find people interested in talking about characters or monster ecology in the Monster Hunter community, about the possibilities that New World might have in store for MH lore from here on out, it's not always having to deal with or partake in graphics or game mechanics discourse (World good, Rise bad. Old Gen good, new gen bad, etc.) Same with the Legend of Zelda community, I've made so many good friends in the past few years, and I'm forever grateful I can always talk to them about anything LoZ wise, lore, games, dungeons, NPCs, literally anything lol. Even smaller, more niche communities like Risk of Rain or Megaman.
But Splatoon? Oh boy. You have to deal with nothing but people's takes. You wanna talk about the lore? Nope, gotta deal with either people not interested in talking about that (like, the vast majority of the community), or the few that will only care about the lore as long as idol shipping is involved. It's been like what, 2 months since the release of Side Order, and I have not been able to sit and talk about the lore to anyone aside from small bits of venting here and there with friends that don't even play the game or are into it, even they seem more interested than the fandom. You wanna talk about gameplay? Gotta deal with most of the community making their opinions from splatoon youtube, heck, I even have to deal with people in the fandom that haven't even played a single game tell me I'm racist for picking Shiver on a Splatfest instead of Frye, whom I adore greatly.
I can't even bother looking for a Salmon Run farming gang, which has been my goal for months, because most of the people who play the mode are busy blaming others for their failure, including the Salmon Run influencers that made the guides and helpful content for free out of their love for the game, or just not as committed.
Long story short, can't talk about anything without people making it about a ship, can't talk about DLC lore without people making it about Pearlina, can't find myself a party that's willing to grind for hours on Salmon Run cause I'm prone to running into people complaining for a couple wave losses, I can't say I like A without being accused of hating B, when I never said that. Headcanons are also good, but god forbid if you ask people here to respect yours or don't overstep.
I'm tired. And I'll still get Deep Cut plushies one day, cause I love them. And Acht merch, if possible.

I gotta get back into my new Age of Calamity file (been knitting and playing our second Tears file all the time), 'cause I am still soooo far away from unlocking Kohga and I need to get himmmm again. I mean I could just go in my old file and have him kill some vicious lynels to get my fix or something but. No I want to rebuild My Best Guy and see if I can possibly make him even more Best.
But. I mean.
That would be pretty hard.
(I accept the challenge but I gotta be patient and get through the 'let's destroy the Yiga Clan woohoo!' parts first astfglaslkfjsldfkj. I mean not that I hate those missions, I love fighting Sooga and Kohga as I have said before, and I adore the cutscenes involving them. But I wanna play as them even more, they're just so fun. Also I got sosososo lucky with Kohga's weapon drops last time so hopefully I will again this time too so I can make him an even better Demon Carver. If that's even. Possible. I will do my best! Glory to Master Kohga etcetc!)
#legend of zelda#age of calamity#yiga clan#master kohga#me: *playing as Urbosa blowing up the clan and all the valley's entry gates with Vah Naboris* i'm sorry i'm sorry I'M SORRY#me: *still plays the other parts of the mission more times to have fun fighting my banana boys* hi kohga hi sooga HI THAT POV CUTSCENE#((obv i can't get him to be better than lvl 100 but it MIGHT be possible to make a better weapon? idk the one i made is pretty fuckin good)#((my man will just do strong attack after strong attack opening weak points etc and building that stress gauge))#((so he can go big glowy blast real efficiently. plus that sp atk charge rate + sp atk up combo is soooo handy))#((truly serving up a whole lotta hurt))#((super convenient that the charge rate and the shockwave hidden seal are the same shape too for bonuseeeesssss))#((but idk would it be even better to ditch the squares and go all stars this time? hmm but the shockwave is thematically appropriate HMM))#((like maybe the all star seals build would end up with technically higher attack bonus BUT gameplay-wise the squares do help/are fun. HM!)#anyway he's genuinely my favorite and i gotta get back to it so i can BE HIM ONCE MORE

companion piece of young Zelda
AAHH i finally finished something :'D
it actually took more thought to trawl through my feelings about Link as a child than Zelda but we got there idk man i just knew he exudes gremlin energy as a 17 to 20-something year old so he must have been a little demon as a kid gfkdjfkd
we're sort of looking at roughly 4, 7 and 10 years old here feeding sum pigeons, playing soldiers, and doing some baking !!!
more detailed Thoughts under the cut 💙
iiitssss customary ranting about my BotW/TotK opinions tiiiimeeee welcome my darlingsss jfkdjfkd 💙
like i said, this took more thought than Zelda, but we also dont know as much about Link's upbringing so thats fair
having said that, we know his father was a knight - a prominent one - and its hinted at that his family may have owned the Hateno house you can buy from Bolson. im not sure if i land on it being the family / childhood home or belonging to like a grandparent but i like to think Link spent time in Hateno as a kid (im a great fan of bumpkin Link with a country accent aight im a simple man). no mention of any OTHER family members, but imo i think his mother was still around and he probably had younger siblings !! he DID probably spend a fair amount of time in Castle Town just due to his father's job though, to be fair he probably travelled a little as a youngster a-la army posting yknow ... moving on tldr that explains why i've got a bunch of Hateno-esque clothing here aside from us sort of not knowing what the average joe Castle Town citizen from back in the day would have worn idk man its cute also
SO, pigeons !!! i'll definitely expand on this later when i go over more livestock now ive finished TotK but listen i wouldnt be in the least bit surprised if pre-Calamity Hylians had domestic pigeons for sending messages or just for hobby, so here's a first look at the Castle Town Carrier, the Hylian army's best flying friends. Link's just out here feeding his fathers' cohort's messenger birbs :3
stimky boy plays soldiers with a stick and a pot lid and a tub, classic and good, he was probably like ... actually tactically aware at this age though lets be real lol i bet it was annoyingly impressive
C A R R O T C A K E its a bit wonky, but i bet it tastes great :') id imagine Link probably spent a fair amount of time helping around the house and boy loves his food !! some people develop those skills early !!! i bet he was one of those people !!! any chance to get involved and learn how to make his faves and make them for other people yknow, food as a love language everyone HEYO (bowl there is chickaloo tree nuts, hazelnut analog eyo)
ghfjkdjfkd i said i didnt have much to say about this but oops

Ok so, hello, new Ordem Paranormal fan here, I'm not Brazillian so I apologize if any of my questions are stupid, and if you do not want to/don't have the answer to any of my questions, I will not be offended. I've just finished O Segredo Na Floresta (That ending man...fuck) and while I know some spoilers from later campaigns, I generally don't know the context around them. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, I have way too many questions, so feel free to pick and choose. 1. I've noticed that the artist between the second and third campaign changes, or at least I think that's the case because the styles are incredibly different. I'm assuming that it's because Cellbit wanted more realism, but I was curious if that was it or not because I can't really find anything on my own (the wiki, sadly, doesn't seem to have pages for the artists :() (I'm just curious about this, I like both art styles) 2. Have you ever had a llonguet or coxhina? Not entirely related to Ordem Paranormal but they mentioned those foods a few times so I was curious as to how good they were, they both look good tbh 3. It only gets worse from here doesn't it. (This next question is more so Desconjuracao and Calamidade than either of the ones I've watched) 4. I know about the relics, do they all work differently? I mean, yeah they do but like, the human in that body dies when they take over, right? But like, can they make the body immortal or does the body still age? I assume not with the God of Death because...yeah just saw that, but it could still decompose I guess. Idk, the relics fascinate me and I'm really excited for Desconjuracao to get translated 5. How many times does the system change? Because the first campaign was a d6 system, the second is a d100 system, but the wiki says Ordem Paranormal is a d20 system. Does it get more finalized by Desconjuracao? Or will it take til Calamidade for me to see the current system? I'm really hoping the rulebook gets translated someday, I'd love to play or gm, and I'm curious as to what campaign would be a good reference for what it might be like. 6. Do you have a favorite character? I don't have many people to talk Ordem Paranormal in depth with so I'm curious as to what other fans opinions are. Also, are there any characters that generally people really dislike? 7. Not sure if you read fanfics or comics, but do you have any you'd recommend? Even if it's for later campaigns I could put it on the backburner, I'd love to see more fanworks than what I've found on my own Ok so, that's a lot so I'll stop asking stuff for now, thank you so much for letting me ramble hahaha
1- well you are a minority because people really hate the old artist (Rafael da Hq) well it was changed because the new artist (Orenjiro) did beutiful fanart and cellbit decided that he would do the art for ordem ever since! (Minus o segredo na ilha, that was bonees), but the main reason why the fandom does not talk is because he did tracing and was exposed for pedophilia, also i did not know that there wasn’t any wiki pages for the artists like what? They maybe will do some soon!
2- because of your grammar i unfortunaly dont know what you ment by what you ment by llounguet but i already had many coxinhas in my life lol, they are a pretty popular "salgado" (salty food) and i really like it, the ones filled with chicken are the best (i mean its pretty rare a coxinha be anything BUT filled with chicken but WHAT EVER), i hope you get to taste coxinha, is pretty good
3- Oh honey, you didn’t even get to see the worst deaths in ordem paranormal history lol
4- i mean you won’t get much about the calamity relics since they are more important in calidade but basicly the human body that the relic is inhabiting dosen't age and is pretty much imortal (unless other relic kills it) bur when the human body of the relic dies, they just poof like the human body dosen't exist anymore and they go to another human to continue doing their elements Jobs
5- Oh honey the only season that they play 100% from the ordem paranormal rpg rulebook is sinais do outro lado, this system had a fuck ton of changes and rewrites especially because the comunity was very involved in it
6- Oh i have a bunch of them but my main favs are liz and my baby joui 💜, so the fandom is fascinating because the character can be very loved with a very toxic fanbase but also very hated with a bunch of toxic haters (joui's case lol) but most of the time the really hated character's are from the villans side, mainly npc's but this hatred is generely only really prevelent for character's with players when the season is airing yk? But for me is kinda hard to tell witch character is the most hated for all fandom because it really depends on your fandom circle because is pretty commun to get a bunch of comments of "OMG WHY DO YOU HATE THIS CHARACTER" for pretty much evey character in ordem
7- about fanfics... i unfortunaly don’t have much recomendations because i do not read much ordem fanfics (especially because the fandom is kinda dead right now and all ordem ficwritters became spiderbit/guapoduo ficwritters) well the fanprojects are kinda dead right now unfortunately, but there is official comics of ordem paranormal that adapt the first season and the first part of season 2 translated to english that you can buy it officially in e-book form! I also have a project for myself in adapt ordem seasons in manga form (and rewrite some stuff that dosen't make sanse) and make a silly self indulgent fanfic adding two oc's of mine as character's living the happy horror's that is the ordem paranormal universe, but i little idvice if you want to see ordem content
Go to Twitter, there is more people there the here unfortunaly
I hope my answers helped and any questions just hit my ask box!

thinking abt dsmp x qsmp x botw crossover again. im still working through what exactly i want to do about the Kakariko- and Yiga-equivalent regions/groups in this au. and the Shiekah-equivalent as well, which i suppose would belong to the Kakariko-equivalent.
under the cut: me just walking through some ideas about my au, WEMBM. very rambly. mostly just me posting for safekeeping and to help me work through thoughts and because hitting the post button makes brain release happy chemical. can totally be ignored /gen  writing in tumblr drafts just makes the ideas come easier idk lmao. might private this later just because *shrug*
as of right now, the idea of doing some sort of dsmp-eggpire/qsmp-watchers fusion for the Yiga-equivalent is very tempting. the original au was just eggpire, but now of course im tossing qsmp into the mix. sure, the federation is a decent enough candidate for the role, being an Evil Organization and all, but i feel like the watchers embody that element of suffering, chaos, carnality, and twisted righteousness. while the feds have their dark sides, the overall aesthetic of the federation is too clinical and organized for the cult of armageddon-worshippers. the federation is fairly reserved and mysterious, whereas the watchers (and the Watcher itself) are very blunt and up-front about their goals: make the "sinners" pay. that fits the yiga-role best, in my opinion.
so, eggpire-watcher fusion. i've got a few directions i can go with this. if i remember correctly, the original idea for the Eggpire in this au was that Bad (Kohga-equivalent character; tell me that cBad DOESN'T fit this role perfectly i dare you), as a young member of the dwindling yiga clan post-calamity, once made the journey into hyrule castle to see for himself what remained of the Dark Lord*, and what he saw in the Sanctum was that big old fleshy cocoon- or 'egg'-looking thing where Calamity Dreamon was being held back by Prince Tubbo. Dreamon's consciousness was able to reach out to him, beckon him forward, tell him of the way that he has been wrongfully sealed, that greatness awaits those who embrace the Darkness, that he, Bad, could spearhead the revival of the Dark Lord and join him in his absolute rule over hyrule, if he could keep that blasted Knight from sealing him away for good...
and thus, Bad emerged from hyrule castle with a mission he would dedicate his life to: kill the Knight that wields the sword that seals the darkness so that his Dark Lord may regain his strength and hatch from his 'egg', reborn.
*fhdjsk this was how the yiga referred to ganon in the game right or am i crazy?? it's been so long since i played botw hhhough.
now, watcher elements that can be tossed into the mix? well, they get their name "watchers" because of the way they've scattered themselves across hyrule, watching for any sign or hint that the Knight may have returned. they're great with stealth when needs must, but when it comes to combat, they are ruthless. they fight hard, fight dirty. they seek to kill anyone who may oppose the way of the Dark Lord. im gonna make them a biiiiiit darker than they are in botw bc it's my au and i get to choose the vibe, but i promise i won't sacrifice all of the silly. the balance of goofy/lighthearted/fun and serious/grim/dark is integral to both LoZ games and MCRP series.
im thinking i'll reserve the "sinners" title for any watcher members who defect or show any sort of sympathy for outsiders. fun fact: WEMBM!cellbit is a sinner!! he was abducted by the watchers at age ten and made to forget his childhood through ritual magic and trained to be the perfect soldier for Master Bad and the Dark Lord. he was sharp as a tack and quick with a sword, and once he was old enough, he would have made a perfect addition to Bad's elite rank of watcher footmen.
until he defected. until he became a sinner.
he lives in Quesadilla (Hateno-equivalent) now. he's got a husband who he loves and friends in town that care for him deeply and an estranged twin sister living in Enderian Town that he swaps letters with, on occasion. he keeps his head down, he enjoys his quiet life of freedom, and he's totally not secretly aiding an anti-watchers organization called the Ordo from afar.
(did i make cellbit extremely backstoried in this au? you bet your ass i did. tbf qcellbit is also very backstoried and qcellbit lives rent free in my brain so sorry not sorry lol. also mentor-mentee hg duo makes me RGHRHRGHRGHGRRR.)
anyway, i'm thinking of having the kakariko village equivalent be called Essempi. eret will take impa's role, having been prince tubbo's advisor, one of his guards, and a close friend. who else lives in Essempi is uhh, to be decided. i think i should start making a list of characters who i already know the residence of (eg, Cellbit is in Quesadilla, Eret is in Essempi, Schlatt is on the Plateau...) so i can place other characters in locations.
one major issue im running into is my discomfort with assigning qsmp/dsmp characters---who are largely white/non-Japanese---as "Sheikah." feels like appropriation of some share or form. which means i'm going to have Essempi be just another Hylian town---unless i come up with another humanoid race. hmm, could do something with bad, tina, and mouse's shared demon-ness in qsmp. eret could definitely land in this category as well. (and while im still hesitant to put qforever into any sort of au because of. well. let's not get into that here. but if i put him somewhere, i'd put him in this group.) they probably wouldn't be called Demons, though. i'll think of something. either way, they'd have a connection to the "Sheikah" technology and would be close with the royal family, just like the original Sheikah of botw. (huh. i guess this makes tazercraft sheikah-equivalent. or well ig they don't have to be. my au my rules.)
#WEMBM#all of these ideas are tentative but i like how they're fitting together so far. all subject to change.#i feel like this is the writer equivalent of an artist posting messy sketches. yeah that's basically it.

There's technical in fandom terminology for all of this but I don't know it, sorry for being a cringefailwaifu or what have you.
I am trying to keep a family alive for 10 generations of short lifespans. This is a known style of play, but IDK the word.
Anyway, I'm on Gen 7, it's going so good, I just wanted to note everything down before I forget.
Gen 1 (founding family):
I decided to populate the world with rainbow pastel sims, and began play with a werewolf version of @arionwind, who ultimately bred out with a pink pastel sim. Conveniently, because werewolves can achieve immortal status, this Ari sim is still alive.
Meanwhile, the pink sim turned out to be a witch, a genetic trait allowing the character to use cheat codes "in universe" as magic.
This meant all children would be either genetic witches or genetic werewolves.
Gen 2 (banananananana):
The first child of G1 would ultimately be our throughline. Because of my exceedingly, violently modified game settings, this one came out a trans man autonomously on age up, so that's fun. Although born with human skin, I modified him to have pastel yellow, beginning a trend throughout the subsequent generations of picking a theme color for all of the kids skin, hair and eyes in a generation. All other genetics were left unmodified.
His name was Syrene and he was the first one to be named Serrano as well. A real trendsetter, he determined a lot of things about future generations' play styles.
He also had 7 children, including 2 sets of twins. My man was Never Not Pregnant.
He was so happy about being a parent that he funded the family money tree, which rapidly became the primary source of income in the game. A money tree is a garden object you can buy with reward points for making your sim happy. At higher levels, it pays 22,500 dollars a day.
He personally funded 3 of them.
Cheerful as fuck.
Gen 3 (grape):
Ultimately I elected to follow the youngest of the younger set of twins, Rori. Her twin, Augustin, was the last natural born werewolf in the family line, as he never had children himself. However, he remained Rori's close friend throughout her life.
Rori sired many children in her life as a world travelling magical duelist, and ultimately raised a handful of them while paying double child support to the rest.
Gen 4 (bluet):
The 5th of Rori's children, a retiring homebody who ran off to a rural village when she got pregnant. She spent her life making Unusually Strong Potions due to sims of this generation and later having the Ancient Bloodline trait. She also raised llamas and kitted a lot.
A very chill woman overall, which makes the Dramatics of her child... impressive.
Gen 5 (brown on brown IDK she was born very pretty but not very fruity):
Maricela Serrano, you beautiful bitch.
Maricela died at her adult birthday of Having Too Much Fun, a known cause of death in the game.
She had recently, as in the day before, finished marrying her wife, Sidney Lalonde, of the Newcrest Lalondes (when I first populated the game in gen 1, I put in a homestuck house on an unused map and forgot about it entirely until this point).
Because both were born with the double fertility trait (heavily modded game!) both of them were able to sire and carry children over the course of their engagement, and ultimately they had 6 children together. And oh man, what children they were, raised by the ghost of a dead mom, and an Actual Lunatic Immortal Witch because oops somewhere along the way Sydney drank an immortality potion.
Gen 6 (peachy teens!):
The eldest, Romeo. The twins Viola and Sebastien. The twins Lady and Othello. And the youngest, Ariel.
Of them, Ariel quickly seemed the loveliest and the most worth pursuing genetically, however, Ariel proved the first of a dramatic calamity about to befall the family line.
Although both Maricela and Sidney were witches, Ariel proved to have no magical ability. So I set them up to be a comedy focused NPC and moved on to Othello.
Othello was an over acheiver (which is a type of teenager you can play, with specific goals) who quickly graduated high school and entered college as a teen, a thing I did not know you could do in this game until he did it.
This is of critical importance.
He went to college and on the FIRST. NIGHT. AFTER. CLASS.
He died of studying too much in the library. His brain exploded into computer symbols.
In addition to not knowing teens could go to college I also did not know they could die.
I relented to my next backup, Lady. Lady is a mean, evil, romantic sim and almost immediately dies of being too angry, another known cause of death in the game.
I am rapidly running out of peachy teens!!!!!!
I fall back to Romeo, who is at this point an adult with the goal of becoming world famous, so I make him an actor and off we go.
As part of the bit, I have him sire as many kids as possible. Every time an NPC asks to date him, he knocks them up and breaks up with them immediately. He did this himself the first 2 times, but I make it an enforced rule from then on.
He gets world famous, becomes old, and decides to meet his many children.
Gen 7 (cherry red and spring green):
All of Romeo's children were born without magic, so I picked the prettiest one and had her run away to live at the beach. She became a mermaid because I think they are pretty.
She lived an extremely uninteresting life of being a B list youtuber and raising her only child, a daughter she had via IVF with her best friend from high school.
Super chill, very normal.
Gen 8 (strawberry pink and dark green):
No idea why her child came out human and evil, but that happened. Anyway, while bringing Romeo's gravestone to the family graveyard, Sidney (the immortal Lalonde) was just like, "hey Siobhan, stand still, you're a witch now."
So I guess my vague plans of making her be a vampire are over, since you can only be one kind of magic thing at a time.
But she can still be a supervillain so that's fun!
And that's where we're at.

In regards to Cia in a lot of the LU fanon space (aka fics and headcanons), I feel like she's being portrayed far worse than she actually is in Hyrule Warriors. I do think that Wars would have a lot of trauma regarding her considering she's the whole reason a war was started in his name. I do also think that starting said war is pretty bad. But I don't think she really deserves the black-and-white viewpoint most people have of her, it undermines the (attempted - it was a bad and rushed attempt but an intentional attempt nonetheless) redemption of her character arc. I say this as someone who owns the game and has combed through it for hours to attempt to rewrite that bullshit game.
But I think a lot of people are missing the part where Cia actually had control over her one-sided love for centuries as she only watched each hero and never interacted, but it was when Ganondorf came in and corrupted her that she started the war. She was under Ganondorf's influence throughout most of the game, even when she defected from him and attempted to gain the Triforce. She eventually made attempts to redeem herself after becoming free of Ganondorf due to Lana. There's also an element that Cia herself was exploited for Ganondorf's own power fantasies, it was likely that he manipulated or even told her to go to such extremes as making a war to get the Triforce and just used Cia's quiet yearning as a motive.
As dogshit as Hyrule Warriors is as a game and story, I think the idea that Lana is this perfect good is a great foil to Cia's unwavering evil, both forced to these extremes because of Ganondorf, who then regained their humanity once Cia finally broke free of him, though is more subtle in Lana is actually expressed kinda well compared to the rest of the wonkiness of the game. I think there's something to be said about Cia treatment as a antagonist compared to others like say Shadow, the way they're treated as being redeemed villains who were manipulated by Ganondorf for his own gains is vastly different across the fandom. Idk if there's a reason but it feels so distinct and I can't answer why.
This isn't to say that I don't think Wars would have a lot of issues surrounding what happened, its quite obvious he would have a lot of relationship problems on top of everything going on about the war. Its more a ramble about how people portray Cia post-HW/during LU. I myself don't understand how it happened, but as a DLC that was added for free in the Definitive Edition, Cia was revived and re-evilised, so yes she is technically alive still. I don't blame people for thinking she's some mega evil seductress that wants to capture the hearts of all the Chain, she seems very one-sided as a character at first without either getting the game and playing through yourself or skimming every website about the game (which is surprisingly few compared to its Age of Calamity counterpart - which also has its issues) and analysing the very misleading text in wiki pages and reviews. But no, she's not portrayed as a rapist (wtf literally where in the game is it even implied) nor is her character shown to be a pedophile (each hero she has been shown to fawn over are very explicitly the adult heroes).
I'm fine with headcanons, but the kind of stuff I see passed around in LU fanon is basically character assassination. It's kind of sad to see Cia just absolutely obliterated. I'm fine with some of the tamer headcanons, but some of the aforementioned like her being a rapist or a pedophile is so gross to me (and yes I've seen both multiple times in many more words to try to soften the blow of the writer/headcanoner's implications). I don't really like her character myself but I feel like I've analysed her and reworked her and picked apart her character too much to even consider humouring these kinds of ideas. Saying things like she's hypersexual or playing into her seductress image and appearance is fine because it's almost canon, I'll even agree with people calling her a stalker because she definitely was one during the war, but saying anything close to her committing anything more extreme is just not it for me.
#obviously there are exceptions#if you hc wars to be a rape victim to allow yourself your own healing then i won't contest that#that's a different story because it's used explicitly for healing from trauma and i've even done similar things before for the same reasons#what i don't get is people just casually throwing out the 'cia is a pedo/rapist' ideas for no reason than they want to#i'm just frustrated because i see it more often than wild hate#but maybe that's something more personal bc i don't really see a lot of wild hate anyway#there's a lot of issues with how cia is portrayed in the fandom by ppl writing post-hw fics#maybe i'll write my own hcs for cia with like reasons why to clear the air#this is such a niche topic ngl#but it's pissed me off so much bc to talk ab wars' trauma means to talk ab cia#linked universe#lu#lu wars#lu cia#is that even a tag?#putting it just in case

Man an Age of Calamity sequel with TotK stuff would probably be alright some real heavy lifting would have to be done to avoid the ...story issues TotK has, but I want a follow up game focused on rebuilding Hyrule.
Doesn't even have to be a warriors style game, fuck it, make it kinda like a city builder esc game but with the BotW controls and map. Let me roam the land, kill monsters, collect supplies to build cute homes, build NEW settlements and even name them, make Hyrule feel like a THRIVING land and not a land consisting of like 4 villages at best. Build a town in the middle of nowhere, and slowly have people populate it. Let people give different villages different aesthetics, based off where they're built and what materials are used.
Like build in the Goponga area? Both Hylian and Zora people will begin to populate it. The houses have elements of Zora building materials like the stones used, but with wood and stuff too.
Let us play as the Champions in some regard. Like either have Link be mainly playable, and you can meet up with a Champ, Zelda, Impa, Kohga, and ask them to be your companion for a while. Or just have Link and the four Champions be playable, with slight variations to the main gameplay like Revali having his gale and better archery, whereas Daruk can like roll down hills and has lava resistance.
Let us do sidequests revolving around each main character. Like fuck it, go all in and have Link be able to chose different life paths. Wanna roam the lands not tied down? Sure! Wanna do all Mipha's side quests and accept the armor? Go for it! Find yourself fancying Zelda/Revali/fucking Impa idk, just let the player do it.
I know they have little to no plans to continue the BotW/TotK world, and I'm fine with it. But the Hyrule Warriors games are a goldmine of potential. People want more of the Champions? Do this. People want some OoT/MM stuff, make a warriors game revolving around those two games' worlds and stories.
#basically stardew valley but zelda#I just want a charming city builder in the AoC world#like I know they wont do this#especially the “romance” options#they'll never confirm anything so they leave it up for interpertation#but thats why you give people the OPTION#let them pick ANYONE within reason#so everyones happy#age of calamity#clockwise rambling

all im saying is that since the paraglider is in totk with an updated revali's logo, revali should also be in totk (preferably alive this time) ✋
idk if i would say it's truly an updated "revali's logo" ykwim because now it has four feathers on each wing instead of three :o but i'm very interested to see what the narrative reason for why link's paraglider was updated and if there will be an explanation as to why he has one in the first place.
imo as someone with so much revalink brainrot, regardless of whether or not link regained memories of his past life, he probably recognized that the paraglider had some significant sentimental value to him back then, and hopefully recognized that it must have belonged to revali previously as per revali's symbol on his main landing in rito village and flight range landing. maybe then he realized that he needed to maintain it to, at the very least, honor revali's memory, even if it seemed that revali didn't like him very much. after all, revali was a great warrior revered by his people, one who sacrificed his life in an attempt to save hyrule, and someone who must have mattered to link if the paraglider fatefully fell in his hands. he feels a great need to maintain it and be respectful of one of the remainders of revali's legacy. but give me back the botw paraglider design, it's charming and it's definitely revali!
now. this might be an unpopular opinion but it's one that i stand staunchly by because i talked about it a bit in this post. to be honest, i want to see the champions revived in totk. i'm sure plenty of you would disagree and play the card that the death of the champions was meant to teach link about loss, despair, the effects of war, sacrifice, and all those morals etc. but imo, the problem with teaching link those lessons is that it doesn't feel like much was lost in the first place. maybe this is a personal perception of botw on my end, but to me, there weren't enough of the champions' presence in botw to warrant this idea that it taught link about loss. if you were to go by the idea that link retained all his previous memories, then sure, but it doesn't work if you go the route where he doesn't and everything in the past is just flickers of memories he can't ever really recall. how can you tell a story about grief and loss and sacrifice if your main character, and by extension, your players who are connected to the story via that main character, can't feel a profound enough loss of those characters to understand the moral of the story? the presence of the champions in botw only made me want to see more of them because it felt like their time in the little sliver of spotlight they got was too short. and you could include age of calamity! but that's a non-canon prequel so it can't even really count 😭 i haven't played the champions' ballad dlc, so maybe there could be a change of mind if i did but why would you put a paywall if you want to teach a solid story about loss and sacrifice? what a shit way to tell a story 🥸
but i digress. yeah i do want revali and the rest of the champions back in totk, for all types of shenanigans and interactions. give them back to me nintendo ☝️😐
#revalink#loz#botw#totk#loz botw#loz totk#legend of zelda#amihan's revalinkverse#amihan's botwverse#amihan's totkverse#ask#cryiling#call me a braindead shipper ig but we were robbed of revalink interactions!#anyways i'm willing to hear out anyone who opposes but i most likely won't change my mind#i really do believe that there's a level of detachment between link and the champions#like there does not feel like a genuine enough relationship between him and the champions to say all that idk#botw link feels like Some Guy who got roped into saving the world#and because of that the champions just feel like ghosts of characters who deserved more#idk like it doesn't feel narratively fair to create characters like the champions and never come back to them#i can't grieve properly or feel any sort of loss for someone who i never really got to know#don't take this too serious either i am NAWT looking for a fight ✋😭

if you happen to have played Age of Calamity...Robbie... May I please get Robbie with him saying #8? Or even Y/N saying it actually!
WHY DOES AOC ROBBIE JUST HIT DIFFERENT THOUGH. Idk, I blame my crush on Danny Sexbang for that one.
Send me prompts from THIS list!
He bit his lip as he watched her dressing. Robbie was coming in to rest for the day, having been up all night focusing on his research. He had several new inventions, yes, but nothing could ever make him as excited as watching this woman in his shared room dressing and attempting to put her hair up.
Robbie slipped in quietly, startling her when he suddenly appeared in the reflection. "Robbie, you've gotta stop sneaking up on me."
"Old habits," He hummed, kissing at her neck. "Don't spend too much time on your hair. I'll be yanking at it soon."
"But you need sleep," She moaned, shivering as he began to grope at her unabashedly. "Robbie..."
"I'm not going to be able to sleep with this--" he pressed himself against her backside, letting her feel his length hardening under the clothing. "--keeping me up. And I don't think you'll be able to make it to work."
"But Purah needs help."
"she can wait, baby."

What are your thoughts on Age of Calamity Zelink!!?? I like that version a lot because champions are alive, and there's the longing and the added pressure on Link and his future if he decides to court Zelda
I'm gonna be honest I dont really think about it much. It's mostly cause 1) i haven't played Age of Calamity and 2) I just feel like...idk no matter how Nintendo sugar coats it Zelda and Link were NOTTT happy in that timeline. Yes they won, yes people are alive but idk!! Also I feel like AoC went against what BOTW established in terms of Zelda and Link's growth together so it was hard for me to really...get attached.
But AoC aside I used to think about a "what if they won, they're a little damaged but they won" scenario but it went EXACTLY how BOTW played out, instead of AoC's cutscenes. Then to me it has a good sense of longing. Zelda would have different motivations and ways to heal v.s. post-calamity Zelda. Hyrule Castle is messy but its still...there and so are many of the people. I feel that this version of Zelda would feel more motivated to rebuild the kingdom and take over her status of Queen (while post-calamity Zelda was like "nah actually. i'm not gonna re-establish a monarchy"). And Link...would still have that same closed off personality. Yeah he'd be more open to Zelda but he's still dealing with that anxiety of that social status given to him. Additionally he's unsure what he is now. He put away the master sword and now what?? who is he? Why doesn't he feel free from this burden? They won, right?
Overall I think theres definitely a different dynamic in their relationship, one that doesn't exist in post-calamity. Do they pursue it? Well its going to take a lot of time, and tbh more growth on Link's side.
Sorry for the long rant kJSBDAKSBJD I think i just lost the plot
#theres also a third reason why i dont particularly care for AoC's story telling but i will NOT state it#because its petty and i'm not bringing that discourse back#if i had a nickel...on how many times a post of mine brought back old discourse#i'd have two nickels#anyways does what i'm saying make sense#pre-calamity botw and aoc are definitely not the same#and i kinda didn't like how nintendo just went “OKAY HAPPY ENDING WEEEEE”#no...wheres the angst...the sadness..#maybe i'm super wrong and i need to play AoC#the main reason i haven't played is cause I'm BROKE and that style of gameplay isn't my type

Well I’ve only had Age’s dad for a day and I already took away his arm lol. I was thinking that he lost his arm during his heroic moment that gave him such a high honor but decided to lose his arm sometime after the calamity or something. There’s this battle in AOC and idk if you’ve played the game or if you care for spoilers but let’s just say it’s a good way to get rid of his arm. The limp in his leg caused him to make a mistake and he lost his arm. Age was there of course and he felt a lot of guilt over it. Unfortunately with the loss of his arm, he was discharged as a body guard and retired back home with his wife and daughter. He’s happy, but he does miss the action. He’s actually learned how to fight with one arm and still is phenomenal at shield surfing. Foolishly, he likes to go to mount Hylia at times to get the best slopes down. But what makes him sad is how little he can see Link.
I literally yelled OH NO when I read that he lost his arm awwwwwwwwww poor baby T-T D:
I have Age of Calamity, I've gotten to the point where Zelda awakens her powers but haven't managed to beat the battle at Fort Hateno yet. That game is hard. Not to mention I don't have the stamina for it most days lol, those battles last like half an hour on average XD But it's fun seeing how the story differs.
Poor CalamiDad, aaahhhh I want to give him the biggest hug PLEASE TELL HIM I LOVE HIM OK
At least he gets to be with his wife and daughter <3 But not as much with Link </3 OH MY HEART
SMILES I LOVE HIM SO MUCH
#you ask skye answers#lovely smilesrobotlover#thank you for sharing all your dads with me I adore them <3#I am still cracking up at how you described Abel LOL#even when I try to let him be happy there's always something XD#poor guy can't catch a break LOL#link between links

I got one: rate Zelda games you've played in order of preference?
Haha so here's the thing-
I've only actually beaten one Zelda game (two if you count the spinoff Age of Calamity)😅
I'm notorious for being terrible at actually playing the games despite loving the series, most often because puzzles are not my strong suit.
So this list is gonna be focusing on my overall liking of the game and it's content, regardless of how much I've actually progressed through it (otherwise it would be a pretty boring list)
1. Skyward Sword. I love the artstyle of this game and the locations are beautiful. Skyloft is one of my favourite hub worlds in a game, the characters are all very unique and distinct, and I love exploring a land before Hyrule.
2. Breath of the Wild. I've got so many hours in this game, there's so much to do! Whilst I personally think Zelda is stronger as a linear series than open-world, I had a ton of fun exploring this open Hyrule and the Champions (new and old) are some of my favourite characters from the series. I completely got the wrong end of the stick as to what the plot was going into it, so it was fun finding out the real plot.
3. Phantom Hourglass, for one reason: Linebeck. He's one of the most well-written and distinct characters in Zelda (and probably my overall favourite), I love his progression from selfish coward to a hero in his own right. And that final boss fight omfg-
4. A Link Between Worlds. Lorule is a super interesting concept to me, and whilst I didn't play ALttP I'm aware of how this game continues on from it. I love this version of Hyrule's overworld, and it's always neat seeing the more hostile Zora.
5. Minish Cap, mainly because I love the Minish as a race and Vaati as a villain. The tiny world is super fun to explore, and I love seeing how the different groups of Minish live.
6. Spirit Tracks. For a very simple reason: I'm a railfan. I'm absolutely terrible at this game but I love the introduction of trains, the completely new Hyrule, and a unique villain is always a plus! I love Zelda's more (physically) active role in the story, and I'm a big fan of Byrne as a character.
7. Majora's Mask. I did atrociously trying to get through this game too, but I absolutely love its premise. Termina is a very unique world and despite a lot of the character models being recycled, still feels completely independent from Hyrule. Skull Kid is one of my favourite Zelda characters, and the heavy emphasis on death and loss makes it a very unique game
8. The Wind Waker. I initially thought this game was kind of overrated ngl (and I still think it overshadows games that deserve more praise), but I had fun with it. The concept is very unique, and whilst I found the sailing a bit boring at times I loved exploring the islands.
9. Tears of the Kingdom. I... set myself up for disappointment with this one. That's not to say it's a bad game! I've had fun with it for sure, but there was a lot of wasted potential imo. Whilst I love the unique styles of each dungeon (and the respective bosses), they were infuriating to get through because it's the same shit every time. Use Sage ability to open five locks, rinse and fucking repeat. Same reason I didn't enjoy the Divine Beasts. The exploration in the open-world Zelda games is phenomenal, but it comes at the detriment of story and dungeons. (Not to mention it's sort of a soft reboot and I'm... not really a fan of those).
10. Ocarina of Time. This one is so low basically by default (and because I'm kinda tired of hearing about it so much). It's a good game, don't get me wrong. But it's weird the timeline split came from this one and not.. idk, the game with an actual canon game over (Minish Cap)?? I love the Kokiri as a concept and really wish they'd returned, and the group of sages introduced in this game are probably my favourite.
And I don't really know where to rank it as it's a spin-off, but I had a huge amount of fun with Age of Calamity. A significant improvement over the original Hyrule Warriors imo.

I should be prompting you to sleep rather than asking but I’m curious.
Sheikah Link AU?
Ah, sorry it has taken me a while to get to this ask AJ! I got a little distracted, sorry for the wait 😅
So basically my idea for a Sheikah Link AU (written in my notebook) was that Link was raised by the Sheikah, aka Impa and Purah's family.
There was a lot of thing that I had written from BotW/Age of Calamity, such as there's no ancient technology nor Master Kohga; since this is technically 100 years ago, Sooga is basically the leader of the Yiga Clan and Link's evil counterpart. I had written a whole history about how the Yiga Clan came to be despite there not being any technology to banish, so in a nutshell basically Ganon basically used telepathy on a bunch of people, and some of the Sheikah were affected by this and joined his side and remained loyal.
Also apparently the Sheikah live extra-super long but age really slowly. Like Impa is 104 in this AU but looks 20 years old. (I have no idea what was going through my head while writing this...)
Anyways, Link becomes Zelda's bodyguard after a failed assassination attempt on her life, leading the King to give him also a secret mission to investigate the assassination attempted (leading him to the discovery of the Yiga, which is unknown to all except the Sheikah tribe). Paya (who also appears in this AU and taking the role of Link's younger sister even though she was the daughter of Robbie and not the chief; I think I might've forgotten while writing in my notebook or retconned myself anyways--) also becomes the princess's handmaiden (not really that plot relevant; I'm sure past me was going to do something with that but that's what I have written down).
A few things about the other characters: Impa has a rivalry with Link, due to it being unfair because she is a lot more wiser than him due to age, etc. Purah is also the chieftain, taking over when her father dies (probably Link had played some part of it; past me wasn't sure either). Princess Zelda instead of being interested in Sheikah Technology (since there wasn't any) she is instead interested in the science of magic; aka trying to make sense of all the magical shenanigans around Hyrule such as fairy fountains, wizzrobes, etc., mainly out of her own insecurity of feeling magicless (this was probably my way of making sense of the whole "oh if Zelda focused on the ancient technology she would've found the answer to her powers" that BotW tries to keep telling us which didn't make sense to me).
Back to the story (sorry if I'm hopping all over the place): Zelda is trying to learn about the Sheikah magic but ignores Link because, despite being raised by Sheikah, he's still Hylian so in her mind he wasn't really useful, so she talks with Paya a lot (despite being physically, and I guess mentally 10 (is what I had written in my notes) despite being 53 in Hylian years). In my notes apparently Link and Zelda argue a lot, but about what I have no idea lol (Paya is the messenger between the two for a while though lol). But then the Yiga tried to assassinate her again and things started to heal between them (also confirming Link's suspicions that it was the Yiga Clan behind the assassination attempts).
From this attempt, they had gotten a Yiga weapon to which Zelda was able to analyze because they were covered in a kind of dark magic, something that only the Master Sword could cure of (so thank goodness Link was there). I had written in my notes that this dark magic was caused by the triforce of power, sooooo guess what the triforce is back in this au lol.
Anyways, they go to Korok Forest to retrieve the Master Sword (how Zelda knew that the Master Sword was the key to repelling the dark magic idk either lol), as she kind of assumes that the Link is the reincarnated hero (and if she was wrong, well she could pull the sword due to having the blood of the goddess, right?). She leads him through the Lost Woods due to the secret being passed through the royal family, where they arrive in the sacred grove with the last remaining Kokiri guarding the Master Sword. He could only grant those access to the sword through a battle, so Link steps up to the challenge. The Kokiri guard was able to match Link in skill, and Link proves himself worthy of the sword when the Triforce of Courage glowed on his hand. He pulls the sword, becomes the hero of legend, and everything is all fine (except now Zelda is sad because her theory was right and now he has fulfilled his divine destiny).
So nearing off what I had written in my notes, Zelda goes to pay a visit to Urbosa (her excuse being to help with Urbosa's baby once it comes, but we all know it's probably to help sort out her feelings about Link and divine destinies and all that jazz) and while Link is wandering the desert trying to even grasp his newfound destiny he gets kidnapped by the Yiga. Aaaaaand that is where my notes leave off XD
I have more, bullet point notes at the end of it but its just some random ideas, like changing Kohga to being the main antagonist and the rules of the Triforce (like having their piece being awakened by a selfless act), and an idea for the sequel where Link and Zelda goes adventuring with Urbosa's son who is named Ganondorf (and also gets the Triforce of Power despite already establishing that the Yiga has the Triforce of power. Oops).
#the ladye answers#amazing aj!!!#oops this was way too long XD#tldr; basically a rewrite of botw but also everything has changed#I meant to keep this short but I looked at my notes and now all of a sudden I actually want to write this thing#welp XD#thanks for the ask! again sorry I didn't get to this sooner

so i'm headed to bed, but i have been Pondering. how hard is it to make a wobsite? just a small one. sort of wiki-shaped-ish, but i don't speak wiki code fluently, and i wouldn't be seeking other editors. it would probably be in html because that's my most fluent computer language. on, idk, neocities or somewhere? i never had a geocities. i've only ever had blogs. but sometimes you want to do something that isn't blog shaped.
basically... there are a bunch of gaming websites that *sort* of have walkthroughs and guides for age of calamity, but it's really not documented in the way that i... tend to expect, having only played massive blockbusters with huge communities otherwise.
(mass effect wiki? complete walkthroughs for every sidequest and every collectible. breath of the wild? massive interactable map on zeldadungeon. animal crossing? polygon has you covered. pokemon? it's friggin pokemon, the entire experience revolves around documentation, you can get pokedex tracker apps for your smartphone with exactly the features you want.)
so i'm looking at a level i haven't played yet, and i've got a phone tab open for the upcoming level objectives and one for the chest locations and one for the korok locations, because this games makes up for not having koroks be complicated puzzles by making them much harder to actually see, and the zelda wikis (either zelda.fandom.com or zeldadungeon.net) just don't even have full and consistent age of calamity content, and i started writing out walkthroughs for myself in a fucking *google doc*, and i just want to slowly and carefully build something vaguely wiki shaped where you can click on a walkthrough for a mission called something like Molduga Hunting and not find out that (apparently unironically) the complete contents consist of "Step 1: Defeat the molduga".
(A molduga is the least Dune-shaped sandworm I've ever seen. It doesn't even spit acid or have the blue tongue everybody gives their sandworms. I'm very impressed. It's more like a sand whale really. But it is advisable to have a guide for killing your first one, if you're timid in video games like I am.)
would it be easier to learn wiki code language i don't even know what that one's called except now i'm going to find out it's called wikilang or something
#jt plays age of calamity#jt is very spoiled for walkthrough quality by only playing ludicrously famous and popular blockbusters
