hey. when cis society is oppressing a trans man, what he is experiencing is. In Fact. misogyny. i'm sorry i know none of us like to be reminded of our agab, and it hurts whenever people perceive you as the wrong gender. but a cis person hate-criming, assaulting, verbally abusing, etc, a trans man is not doing "transandrophobia" because they do not perceive him as a man.

Or she's an evil and grotesque crossdressing pervert, a rude caricature, a danger to polite society. she will never be doing enough to escape oppression entirely, no matter if she gets every surgery she can and wears makeup every day and passes perfectly, because she lives under a patriarchy, and she's a woman, so she lives in a panopticon, and HAVING to get surgery and wear make-up to be respected IS oppression, especially if the alternative is being hate-crimed.

trans women (and trans men who pass) are not experiencing "transandrophobia" when a 'queer women and nbs" event turns them away at the door for being too masculine. they are. IN FACT!! experiencing the byproducts of misogyny in a patriarchy!!! where the terfs and coward cis women running those events and occupying those spaces have been taught (sometimes through experience, sometimes by men, sometimes by women) throughout life that men = stronger and more dangerous than women ALWAYS. That they need to protect themselves at all times and always be vigilant. That men and women can't be friends without sexual tension (and so as queer women the mere existence of what they perceive as a "man" is a threat). That women need a separate sports league because they can't possibly compete with someone who has even a little bit "extra" (an unquantifiable amount actually because there isn't a standard range) testosterone. I gave myself a writing challenge and I am fascinated by it

So basically I put the robins in a randomizer to give them a new order/role (because I just...kinda wanted to see what would happen + I like role-reversal AUs) and got results that are giving me a fucking brain blast.

...So this is fucking wild. I've got some ideas and several of these fit perfectly (Dick's role is pretty similar to his one in canon), but some of these are fucking INCREDIBLE to explore (Steph being the first Robin is something I never even considered but tbh I kinda love it).

I probably won't write a fic or anything because tbh I don't like publishing my writing that much, but I might expand this into a full AU and post about it. I might randomize other stuff too (ie, stuff that I cannot change vs stuff that I cannot keep the same) but this fucking rules as a starting point.

I think it's reached the status of pet peeve for me at this point, how common it is in the fandom for people to assume that adoption into the Jiang family was a unilateral good, that Wei Wuxian definitely wanted and which was withheld from him, thereby proving he was not valued enough by his sect and teacher.

Partly just because that's boring, and leads to boring interpretations of the characters, personal opinion.

Partly because it often tends to reflect an uncritical absorption of the in-universe classist belief that being the son of Wei Changze was inherently valueless, and not worth keeping for its own sake.

And maybe especially because I'm starting to feel like it arises from an overall really flat perception of adoption as an institution, that American fans of a Chinese piece of fiction should maybe subject to more scrutiny.

Let me get something off my chest.

It's crazy how in 24hrs the news of Vaquer signing with WWE went from happiness and congratulations to a smear campaign and calling her unprofessional (thanks to a hit piece by shit meltzer).

Let me start by saying I watched an interview she did with Thunder Rosa, and I learned a lot about how she feels working in Mexico (it's a read between the lines thing). In it you realize just how hard she fought to become the top woman in Mexico right now.

I know from having family help build CMLL and then regretting it, that CMLL is a shit and toxic place to work for especially for female talent, LGBTQ, and foreigners (lots of xenophobia).

In Vaquer's situation, apart from the roster trying to break her and have her return to Chile, she starts seeing a fellow wrestler, only for her partner to be a monster and try and kill her. You think the next step would be to protect the victim, but the promotion and many wrestlers start to actively campaign for the innocence of your abuser and proceed to call you dramatic for a "minor relationship quarrel".

She became the top star by herself. She owes no promotion any allegiance ESPECIALLY when the promotions have clearly started where their allegiance stands. She is doing what I think most of us would do, follow the money, and work where you have always wanted.

She owes NOTHING to AEW and should not have to sign simply b/c she was featured on a PPV. Also, do you really think she would want to work there after she (and willow) helped elevate that NJPW strong championship, only to have to drop it because Mone asked for it. Fuck that! Furthermore, AEW houses many people who were vocal about letting her abuser be free, primarily Rush and Dralistico. I find it hard to believe that TK would release these two and others for Stephanie.

I do not think it's wrong for her to say no to working in places that make her feel uncomfortable. She has 10+ yrs in the business, she should do whatever the fuck she wants.

Put yourself in her shoes..... Have you never worked a shitty job where you are doing WAY MORE than what the job description said, knowing you are the reason the place is not in shambles, yet you don't see the same appreciation reciprocated. instead it's just toxic, so one day you just decide to leave and not give them any warning b/c fuck that place, it's what they deserve. We all have quit jobs with no warning. So why are we villainizing Stephanie

Also, if it was WWE's decision for Vaquer to pull out of remaining dates, it could be that they don't want her injured before she arrives.

Realistically, I hope WWE have helped her find a place and transferred her to Orlando as quickly as possible for her safety. They are doing her a solid by getting her as far away from her abuser and his supporters.

Also for her to go out still on top, and not putting Tessa Blanchard over....QUEEN 👑
