ART RAMBLES: as i mentioned on the tags of my last drawing this piece gave me SUCH a headache #i think it's probably cos it was just supposed to be a quick sketch so i used a more stable pencil brush #but then i really liked it so i decided to properly colour it instead of just doing the watercolour thing i usually do for sketches #but with finished pieces i like the lineart to be kinda messy and the sketch to even show through bit #and since i used the more stable brush for the sketch it ended up looking WAY too clean. not like my stuff at all.#so i just started throwing stuff at the wall to see what could make it more interesting. full background! actual lineart! texture layers!#and this here is what i was the happiest with. i don't... love it though. it should be looking way more interesting given the pose #and then i also did the purge girl halfway through this and it looked SO good right out of the bat (pun intended)#so i went a bit into a spiral. did some realistic stuff i'll post soon. and now am trying out a thick black lineart style.#(i'll definitely still use the coloured lines for the sketchy watercolour stuff though. it just looks way too cute)

I'm still thinking about this old post and how Volnutt looks absolutely cute in that dress, which I hope you realize he's cosplaying again-- there's no way I could've designed something that pretty.

Anyways, hear me out, because Volnutt's position in being the Master's favorite Unit makes a lot of sense for this. So I chose Shinku's outfit out of the others also for that reason.

Very important! Haha #Gave a go to a regular Watchdog to go with my Fist Fighter and hmmm yes this feels attainable lol - just gotta give 'em both names #They are very cute and sweet ♥#An actual full-style(? Full WOY style? Lol) for Peepers and a regular Watchdog!#Although afterwards I looked and I'm. Hm. There's conflicting information out there and I'm not sure what to believe #On the wiki he's listed as being shorter than most other Watchdogs but I did a quick screenshot comparison in The It and he was taller??#Not just taller - his eye was bigger - and I accounted for distance! #the thousand year door #ttyd #paper mario the thousand year door #paper mario ttyd #paper mario #paper mario gijinka #usually whenever i design gijinkas or humanizations i value “can i tell this is the character if i didnt know anything about the series #tec xx #x nauts #x naut #fandom tags over i put so much thought into this girl. very specifically designed to look like peach but also reuses x-naut gear #BUT ☝️ BUT ☝️ i had this REALLY cute idea. that viv would help tec design out its new body which is exactly why she has gloves #and thats when the entire fucking design changed from like. bulky & just peach but slightly different into its own thing #its why she is so much more humanoid than i usually design robots because i think tec would be at happiest being a regular girl.#obviously she still looks pretty similar to peach #that was kinda the entire point after all #even took the purple & gold trim off of sir grodus(subconsciously) & got a ponytail inspired by goombella #and thats because like. i think this is her just figuring out things in life. obviously the one it loves the most ofe the main inspo #tec is still an AI #and because of that its why she actually was designed to look a bit younger(like very slightly younger than peach)#usually when i design gijinkas i go “would i recognize this character if i weren't a fan of the series?”#but this is the one time i broke my own rule because frankly i think conveying the personality and story of a character is important #<also why the eyes aren't able to emote btw #but whatever it's like almost 5 am i need to sleep i can go on and on how much i just love tec in general.
