update!

currently at school but i wanted to update you guys!

I’m actually almost done with the jay hc, so expect it to be posted by today! I was busy making m.lists last night and formatting n stuff, so I couldn’t finish 😭 aaa the about of hw I have is daunting

anyways! on that topic! gonna make an abt me post and request rules post hopefully by tmwr. figured I should get that stuff done.

also, plans for after I finish the enha hcs! If you guys actually like the hcs a lot, I’ll do it with the other groups i write for after! I think ill do a p1harmony post after :)

I hope you did wonderfully on both your exams and the festival, darling! And that despite the stress you were still able to take care of yourself! Personal health comes first before anything!

 My apologizes that this took so long to get to, but I hope you enjoy!

He understood why they were feeling the were with everything that was coming up the next day. It was expected for them to feel anxious and nervous, but Kageyama was starting to get nervous about the excess amount of stress that was beginning to pile onto their shoulders. He could see the tension in their shoulders even after he had managed to coax them away from rechecking their work for the umpteenth time just before scanning over the notes they knew by heart at that point.

“Can I make you some tea?” He questioned, his eyes taking in the form of them on the sofa next to him. Their own gaze was directed downward and their hands were seemingly searching for loose strands in their pajama bottoms to pick at. The drink was something he knew calmed him down and he was willing to try anything if it made them relax even just a little bit.

Their hands paused and their eyes lifted to meet with his, almost as though they were realizing their own behavior in that moment. “Sure,” they answered with a small smile touching at their lips, but it didn’t quite meet their eyes. Kageyama felt his chest tighten slightly at the sight, he hated thinking that he might not be able to help them.

Standing to his feet, he found himself pausing right in front of them, his brows furrowed slightly as he stared down until they brought their gaze to meet with his. Just as their lips parted to speak, he leaned forward, hand finding a spot at the back of their neck as he kissed them. The initial contact was hard, causing their mouth to open in surprise and allowing for their lips to slide more jointly together. But it quickly turned tender and reassuring as his fingers traveled down to the tight muscles at their upper back. Pressing into the flesh there, he couldn’t help the smile as a small noise escaped from their lips in response.

Parting, he drew his hand away, gaze taking them in momentarily before speaking. “Tea first and then a massage. No more studying for the night.”

“But–”

But he was kissing them again. He wasn’t going to let them stress themselves out over something they were going to do wonderfully on. What they needed was to calm down and get a good night’s sleep. And Kageyama was going to make sure they got just that.

“[First Name]-chan,” Oikawa spoke as he crossed his arms over his chest from where he stood in the doorway of their room, “close the textbook and step away from the desk!” They had been at it since they had arrived at their house from school, and while he understood their desire to make sure that everything was correctly in their head, they were going to wear themselves out to the point they wouldn’t remember anything the next day.

He watched as their shoulders drooped and heard the sigh that left their lips, but their gaze never left their notes in front of them. “Tooru, I don’t have time to–AH!” The sudden movement of their chair being pulled away from the desk caused their hands to grapple helplessly, their gaze instantly turning to see the smiling face of their boyfriend behind them. “Stop it.”

Shaking his head, Oikawa leaned to press a small kiss to the top of their head, his hands reaching to coax them out of the chair and over onto the bed. “Come on, it’s nearly ten o'clock and you have to be up early in the morning,” he pointed out as they easily gave into his insisting hands, “just take a break.”

Grumbles came from their lips and their next stream of excuses was on the tip of their tongue just before there were hands sliding up the back of their shirt and fingers digging into the muscles there. A simple ‘oh!’ left them instead as their body instantly gaze into the touch. It hurt, the muscle twisted so tight that the heavy pressure required to get them out made them flinch away a couple times. But it didn’t take long before they were sinking into the folds of their sheets, allowing their eyelids to grow heavier with each stroke down their spine.

Leaning forward, Oikawa pressed a tender kiss to the back of their neck, smiling as he felt the small bumps rise all down their back. His gaze was soft as he heard the small noise of appreciation leave their lips. They were finally drifting into sleep, allowing themselves to relax into the rest they desperately needed. Humming gently, he kissed them once again before returning his attention to his hands, continuing to press into the flesh there.

They would do wonderfully the next day, the stress would return surely, but he was ready to work it slowly out of them again. He’d gladly work every ounce of tension from even the smallest of muscles. Because they deserved it, every bit of stress relieving attention, they would always deserve.

Day 85b, Jan 18 - A long way back to Home Sweet Home

- So my parents had 5 bags to check along with 2 boxes

- apparently most of it are food items for relatives

- They had taken a couple of the broken and disregarded luggages that they found at the place we were staying

- I took a pic of each one because I knew there was no chance they would be able to recognize them again

- we had almost a 3 hour wait for our 11pm flight since we wanted to get there early in case anything weird happened while trying to check in

- it was fairly smooth, except having to pay regular prices for drinks (ie 5 times it would cost in the city), just felt so ripped off, but we had some extra Vietnamese bills and we were thirsty

- we had seats in the back of the plane where the rows were 2, 2, 2 which meant I had to sit by myself

- wasn't too bad since it was only a 5 hour flight, the meals on Korean Air are quite tasty

- Lynkin fell asleep so he didn't eat his meal, which I didn't mind, the boy needs his rest

- we got to the airport in Korea at around 7am local time which meant we had to wait only about 3 hours for our connecting flight

- The boys played some games while the adults slept

- so here's the strange part to wrap your head around: our flight took off on Friday at 10 am and was in the air for over 12 hours, and we landed in Toronto on Friday at 9 am

- we sat in the last full row, the cool thing was that it meant our row only had 2 seats instead of 3, so I had some extra space between me and the window and we had extra luggage space underneath since the row in front of us had 3 people

- Took some photos over Korea, Japan, Thunder Bay, and Southern Ontario, lots to see and marvel at

- 3 meals were served including a rectangular slice of pizza

- we all tried our best to take naps, I know it wasn't enough because my eyes were burning, never had them feel like that before

- I got to watch Antman and the wasp, Venom, Crazy Rich Asians, and the Teen Titan Go Movie

- I know that sounds like a lot, but in total, that's about 7-8 hours of a 12+ hour flight

- after being at so many airports (about 12 flights), I can say that Pearson is so plain, ugly, and not efficient

- luckily for us, this was our destination, otherwise you have to get your baggage before getting to your connecting flight

- that's after you walk 15-20 min to use the new automatic custom stations which we had to try more than once to get a receipt

- then after we showed the receipt to the person, we still had to lineup and speak to a customs agent

- The baggage took forever (felt like close to an hour) as it felt like they were only releasing 5 bags at a time

- didn't help that my parents couldn't recognize their bags, so Layson had to check the tracking stickers on all of them

- and the 2 boxes my dad had, he had to go to another area to claim them

- as you can see, Lynkin feel asleep waiting

- after all that, Linda then used her Uber app to get my parents home, and then we used the airport website to get us a minivan to get home

Things we were glad about being home:

- The cats recognized us and were very purry

- normally after a trip we go get pho because we are homesick and it's comfort food, this time we got pizza, good delicious glorious pizza

- Santa had come by and left the kids a chromebook for Christmas, they were very pleased

Things we had to deal with

- had to call CAA since our car battery died and needed replacement

- called Lynkin's school to find out that he can just start next week without having to reregister him (not what we were initily told)

- searched for 20 minutes looking for my wallet, eventually found it where I looked for it initially, but had not recognized it since there was so much dust on it

- cleaning up after the cats as they recently decided the carpeted dining room was their urinal

- Linda had to go to Costco as we have no food and tmwr is Saturday and it's supposed to be a snow storm

- so overall, quite pleased about our return home and the condition of eveything which was mainly due to Doug and Susan helping us out during our absence

- started up my work phone and noticed I missed some emails, usually I am able clear my emails instantaneously

- we are all very tired since for most of the last 30-40+ hours we've been awake

- 4 countries and about 18 cities in 85 days, just wow, can't believe we (let's be honest, Linda) was able to plan and pull it off

- I'm really glad I was able to blog it as it'll be a nice reminder of some of the many adventures we had

- thanks for all those that read and followed along, I may put up another post in a weeks time
