Day 3 Reflections by Logan

Sim card shopping.

- Went to get sim cards.(my uncle was our unofficial guide)

-The weather was about 35 degrees.

- Walked in and looked at sim cards, then the lady running the sugar cane juice gives us free juice (my dad tells me all 3 drinks only cost under $2 total)

Went shopping

-Walked around the streets, looked at things.

-There was about 10000000000000 motorbikes on the road.

-Found out that Yamaha makes instruments and motorbikes.

Went to mall to eat.

-There was a sushi train in one of the restaurants(didn't eat there)

-Went to a Vietnamese restaurant.

-Sat down and did not order soup (we were sweating).

-Got cold drinks instead.

-Took some photos on the rooftop with a really tall building in the background.

Bus almost all the way home

- Grandma got off at the wrong stop so we had to walk an extra 25 minutes

Home for a nap

- when we got back we bought orange juice from the cart in front of our place

- The skin is a green colour here due to the temperature

- then we napped all afternoon because we were so hot and still tired

- today was another good day because of all the things we ate

Seeing this pic recalls me how adventurous, exhausted trip I took in Europe with my family. I always looked at the map in each countries I went and sometimes I got lost, missed the train, and caused my family tired especially 3 elderly people and my 2 kids. Being a leader is to make the follower happy. I really wanted them to enjoy the trip, although sometimes I wanted to give up, raise the white flag, and said 'ខ្ញុំទៅលែងរួចហើយ'. Not all train station had Elevator. I took two baby stroller for my kids , not even knowing that I need to lift them up and down the stairs. You can imagine 😉... One of the trip back from Paris, France to Munich, Germany frightened my family so bad due to the bad weather. Snow started falling and caused most of trains delayed and postponed. The night outside was so cold and we arrived on the small plateforme in one village to make a transit ,but it was said that only one train left to operate. It was 11:30 PM when we arrived and off to wait for the last train. Really pity my mother and aunt, esp my two kids who was really cold. We waited for 15 mn and there was no any shadow of coming train. Everyone lost hope and about to call the police for help, but finally the last train came and we took a very deep breath. The tiredness faded when we arrived ar the destination where we spent one or two night. Joy and Fun totally replaced everything. Next time,if asking me whether I have trip with my family again? The answer is Yes. On this auspicious day of Mahashivratri , this is picture perfect to post of Kedarnath temple. Such a holy place to visit and can feel the spiritual power, after traveling so many hours once you reach this destination believe me you will forget all those tiredness and you feel energetic and refresh. We had an experience, one of the ship passenger that travel with us were picked pocket. . DAY 1 - Oct 25th, 2018 - Travel Day

Taxi ride

• Why use Waze if you're just going to ignore it?

• Got stuck on 401 due to construction

Check in

• Lady kept saying oh this seating chart is so confusing, I'm going to have to write it out

• Eventually she got us the best seats she could after about half an hour (grateful)

Late

• Parents told to come at 8:30

• Called them at 8:45 and they were still at home

• Arrived at airport at 9:50

Vietnam visa

• Linda spent the time and money to get everyone their Vietnam visas

• While checking in, we realise that my dad already has a Vietnam visa that's good till 2020

Air Canada Vip lounge

• Family gave us passes for the air Canada vip lounge

• Turns out it's only in terminal 1, we are in terminal 3

• Now just chilling in the gate area after paying more than $8 for a coffee and croissant after not eating at home due to assuming pampering in the vip lounge

On Board now to our stop over in Korea.

This place is just amazing if you want a mind blowing view of sunset . However I am not posting sunset pic today but will definitely post later. The architectural creation of this place is outstanding , the every roof is made for some specific reason and if you want to take some snaps all-around then you can't find a better place. An amazing atmosphere with all wide open area and best part is fresh air just a little bit away from Jaisalamer city with so many wind energy tower.
