Eggdog and Beeg SMG4 were back at the coffee shop floor trying to see if any of their parents' friends were going to drop by the shop. They woke up about 34 minutes ago and snuck out of their parent's grasp to head back up stairs. The two meme children wanted to make sure that both Three and Four got proper rest and not push themselves too hard after having sleepless nights.

Ding!

Both memes turned their attention to the noise, wondering who it was that entered the cafe. To their relief it was one of the crew members that was in their athletic wear. Eggdog barked with glee as the person smiled at the little bean.

“Good morning Eggdog and Beeg! It's quite rare to see just you two up here. Where are the boys?” Meggy asked them hoping to see if they could explain to her what had happened. The two little memes looked at each other for a moment, wondering if the inkling turned human would understand them. Meggy immediately noticed this and had a light bulb strike in her mind. She took out her phone and opened up an app. She held it in front of Eggdog smiling at the round shape dog.

“Thank the meme gods SMG1 and SMG2 told me to download this app. I figured this would happen. This little thing is supposed to help me understand you two better. Try saying something Eggdog!” She said encouraging the fluffy boy to say anything.

Eggdog made a small bark at the phone. The app loaded up that bark and quickly translated it.

“Hello?” The voice in the app spoke. Eggdog and Beeg SMG4 were very impressed with the translator. Meggy giggles at the reaction of the duo in front of her. Beeg approached her and did his little noise before scooting back to Eggdog.

“If you were wondering where our Dads are at, they are down at Three's room sleeping. They tried to open the shop earlier but Eggdog's Dad wasn't looking too good. Didn't help that my Dad wasn't very awake either so we made them both sleep.” The device spoke.

Meggy frowned at this information. She already knows what happens with Four whenever he doesn't get decent sleep but it's the first time she's heard about how SMG3 has been feeling and she didn't like that both guardians haven't been resting well as they should be. Suddenly a ding caught everyone's attention and all looked to see who entered the shop.

“H-hello? Are you here Three? Saiko, Melony and I were wondering if we can get some coffee today.” Tari shly peaked in the door not noticing Meggy at first being the only one along with the little memes watching from a distance.

Eggdog nudges Meggy to use her phone on him again to help answer this question. The former inkling woman understood the little guy and pointed her device at him. The fluffy dogo barks once as the app starts to do its job.

“Hello everyone! Sadly our Dads are back in the evil lair resting. So no coffee for today. Both of them haven't been resting well lately, so Beeg and I insisted that they get some sleep instead of pushing themselves. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience.”, the translator spoke on behalf of Eggdog.

Tari opens the door wide so the other two ladies can enter alongside her and hear the translator. Both enter behind the bluejay with very concerned expressions on their faces. The first one to speak was Melony.

“Oh no! I hope they both are alright!.” The fruit deity responds sadly as she walks back to the door and locks it and puts out the closed sign in case other customers try to show up today.

“Have those two been pulling all nighters again?”, Saiko asks the tiny duo wondering if they were pushing themselves too hard. Melony walks back and stands next to Saiko as she also looks at the boys wondering the same thing.

Beeg SMG4 made his noise in response to Saiko's question. The meme translator took a minute to process what beeg had said before it spoke out his thoughts. “I don't know about Eggdog's Dad, as for mine though he's honestly been trying to sleep earlier than what I'm use to seeing him do and not pushing himself into making videos late at night. I think from that one scary thing that happened at the old castle, it definitely taught him not to do that ever again.”

Beeg looked down as his little noise got a bit lower speaking once more. “Sometimes I have a bit of doubt it ever went away though. I can see him sometimes wanting to relapse back into bad habits and wanting to push his limits again. Not my first time fighting with him about it either.”

All the women present in the room looked at meme kids with sympathy, unsure of what to really say after what Beeg SMG4 revealed. Eggdog barked, gaining everyone's attention.

“I know my Dad has been doing a subathon for his streams recently. He's also been working hard here in the cafe making sure people get their orders and doing his best to stay afloat.” The fluffy dog whined sadly thinking about how hard his Dad has been working as of late.

“I have noticed him feeling more distant these days. Not sure if because of the weather change or something must be weighing on his mind lately. I tried to get him to talk to me but he insists that he's ok and that nothing is wrong.” Eggdog finished his little ramble about his Dad.

Everyone looked at each other, concern weighing on their faces. Meggy was the first to break the ice. She looks at the little duo, patting both of their heads gently, smiling softly.

“When those two wake up, we can probably ask them wh-”

Both Beeg and Eggdog made noise at the same time stopping the squid human from finishing her sentence.

“NO! If you guys do that my Dad will deny there's a problem and be stubborn about it!”

The room was silent for a moment. All the ladies in the cafe felt helpless as to what they can do to help the duo not have these things happen to them. They all thought for a moment wondering what to do and hope that nothing else gets worse from here. All of a sudden a crash was heard in the backroom gaining everyone's attention.

“Quick to the back!” Saiko commanded as she and the rest of the women followed the Japanese woman to the door that led to the back room without a minute to waste. Each took out their respective weapons, just in case they needed to attack the possible intruder trying to sneak into the ex villain’s cafe. What they all didn't realize the moment that door was opened, they all had the same thought in their mind as they stared at what caused the noise.

“Uuuuhhhhh…”

“Wha?”

“Ah!”

“What the fuck are we missing here?”

SMG4 Comic: Haircut (Part 1/3)

First off I think it's super dumb of Tumblr to only allow 10 posts on the mobile app, like it took me 30 minutes to save all the pictures, add to google drive, boot up my computer, wait for it top load, download the pictures to the desktop, and then upload it. Like dang man might have to stick with 10 for the remaining pages.

But anyways with that aside, I wanted to do a mini(ish) comic about Meggy. I started watching SMG4 with the Puzzle Vision Arc and while I thought she seemed cool, I didn't think much of her. But the more I watched the more fascinated I was with her. But it wasn't until watching the Anime Arc and Meggy's destiny where I was fully invested in her character. One of the biggest things though that stuck out to me was her adjusting to her new human form. While we got some of that kind of shown in the SMG4 videos, I honestly wish we did get to dive deeper into that because yeah- it is a big change.

So that's why this comic is existing! And also why for my redesign of Meggy I gave her short hair because frankly I feel like with all the changes she's going through (or was from Anime Arc till Meggy's Destiny), she can at least have control of something even if it's something as simple as changing your hair if that even makes sense. And also cuz short hair Meggy looks dope like homegirl can pull off both.

Meggy has definitely made it to my top 5 favorite SMG4 characters for sure though.
