Writeblr intro!

Hello! I go by Nihil, I've been here for about three months, and I'm redoing my writeblr intro since my first one just isn't what I wanted it to be.

About My Writing

Okay, disclaimer, I'm not a novel writer! The stuff I do write is planning and scripts for comics I am planning on making.

My absolute favourite genre is superpowers, specifically mixed with action. This is probably why I've felt more drawn to comics as it's a vastly more popular genre than it is in written works.

I currently only have two WIP, both original stories. My favourite of the two is the aforementioned golden duo for me, superpowers and action. The others a fantasy-mystery-romance kinda thing.

About Me

I'm 17, from Canada. I've been writing since I realised it was something that people did and that books didn't just spawn out of the ether. Big on Japanese media, manga's and anime and the likes. Favourite anime are Licoris Recoil, Buddy Daddies and No.6, and favourite manga is Chainsaw Man.

Blue Cataclysm

"Eramos Varma, the halfling son of an important religious figure among humans, and Cyrus, a halfling spy working for elves, meet through a kidnapping and get wrapped up in the investigation of a cult threatening them both."

You'll see a lot of art for this, since I'm trying to actually prepare to make the damn thing. Era is the guy I post that is freakishly tall and has dark blue hair, and Cyrus is the one thats kinda buff and has short, white-blond hair (not to be confused with Nat, the one with long white hair).

The Pandora Program

"The Pandora Program is a project run by the government to help juvenile criminals, among the small percent of the population with special powers, take time off their jail sentences by doing dirty work for the government. Varen Voclain is an interesting recent addition to this program, charged with multiple counts of terrorism, murder and assault after trying to go out for lunch with his mother."

Varen and Nathair, or Nat, are the main characters, but really there's five. Varen is a red-head and has a big scar across his nose bridge, Nat has long white hair and wears a face mask. Atlas is the one with brown hair and forearm crutches, Stelle is the short blonde one with the black hoodie and Charlotte has purple hair and six arms.

These always end up longer than I want them to be, but I figured it'd be useful to show some art as well since that's half my blog.

I know there’s a lot of hypothetical Digimon that could supposedly delete the digital world…….. but like……. How do we even know about them???? Bc if their so catastrophic how did we even find out about their existence with exploding

That's a really good question anon and I want to talk about it in a sort of roundabout way if I can. There is so much we do not know about the Digital World and however many places are adjacent to it (see Witchenly, alternate Digital Worlds, wherever the hell Nanimon come from, etc.) but there are two things we know for certain. First is that the Digital World is its own place with its own culture and mythologies and histories and the second is that it is much, much older than what we assumed it to be.

The name "Digital World" itself is a bit of a misnomer because although we can access it using analog and digital technology, those technologies didn't create it. We just found it one day and that opened up a door to a whole new realm of possibilities we had no idea existed! Here we have a place with living, breathing, sapient beings who are basically living information who grow and change in more unpredictable ways the more they learn from their environments! It's absolutely fascinating and utterly bizarre and a little bit scary at times. But as foreign as the Digimon are, they're still people just like us humans.

And people, no matter where they come from, have stories. Great heroes and villains, divine beings and corrupting forces, and so many other archetypes that don't fit that rigid, and often untrue, dichotomy of morality. So, in part, we know about these potentially world ending threats because the stories about them were told to us by the Digimon but you've got to wonder. With so many parallel worlds, and the seemingly endless cycle of reincarnation Digimon are subjected to, whose to say the Digital World hasn't ended before? Maybe one or even all of these apocalyptic threats did exist and we're just living in the aftermath once their existence has been purged from the system. We still don't know what King Drasil does, if anything at all. Hell we don't even know if it's a Digimon! Maybe it's the antivirus program for the whole system, or maybe it's just another myth. It's food for thought, y'know?

“You’re such a fucking hero,” the villain scoffs in annoyance. Their glare would be intimidating if not for the dazed look in their eyes and the way they wobble on their feet, as if unable to keep their balance. The hero takes a deep breath, summoning an immense amount of patience. Even when mortally injured, the villain is a nightmare to deal with. 

“You can just say thank you,” the hero rolls their eyes, draping the villain’s arm over their own shoulder and pull their enemy to their feet. The villain blinks dazedly, stumbling for a moment. 

“Thank you.” The hero resists the very strong urge to get their phone out and record them saying it again. Unfortunately, they’re rather preoccupied with keeping the villain standing and thus, the moment will have to live in their memory. 

“That’s better,” the hero nods at them as they begin to lead the villain towards the agency and, subsequently, the hospital wing. It’s a bit of a walk and, by the time they’re on the second floor of the agency, their enemy is practically deadweight. 

“Again?” The healer frowns as they dump the villain on a hospital bed. The hero doesn’t know what to say to that, so they instead settle for shaking their head in disbelief. 

“I... don’t question it anymore,” the hero sighs, pinching the bridge of their nose. They wave goodbye to the healer before walking over to their office. They’re not looking forward to the briefing with their boss, and the subsequent justification of how the villain is in the agency’s hospital wing again.

there is beauty in life, even in the hideous, in the worst, ugliest crevasses of the world. when the night sky blocks out your wildest dreams and the hideous monsters under your bed bruise your arm as you try to seek out your lightswitch, when the parasites come out of your mother's mouth to poison you. there are blades of grass painted shimmery silver around their edges from the moon, a hand held under the soft yellow glow of a lamppost, a boot dragged across rough asphalt just so someone can hear the soft rasp of rocks under their feet. when your friends hair turns shimmery gold, silky under the sun that gives you headaches, or when you turn dizzy from sickness but the flush of your cheeks is pretty. in the macabre, in the scariest of paintings, a hideous smile captivating. a bloody mouth enchanting. a rotting hand telling you to hold it. the overgrown weeds of a graveyard being the bed of a stray dog, the wet mud wedged under your nails but smearing across stones to create images. blood across your arms (your life!). the razor unstained (what a disguise!). the rotting of your friend's throat, his lungs. the itch in his hands when he sees smoke. the delight when you see her smile. the fur flying away from your pet. just keep living. just feel the world turn and take you with it.

Welcome aboard the MV Nico, a sea going vessel (Or sea side train if you don’t like ships,) filled with gardens of forget-me-nots, roses and marigolds. Sailing in the moonlight that’s slowly sinking beneath the waves.

i've decided to set my queue to two posts instead of one so season 2 finale is tomorrow. like last time im gonna take a small story hiatus so i can plan my plot (i have my list of plot point i wanna hit, now time to arrange them in a coherent order and how it will lead to the climax/plot twist i've been planning since day 1) but, once again like last time, i'll also be posting some bonus stuff like a cas challenge and updated lookbook.

anyway, it's funny how much i had to force myself at some point to write and came close to abandon this blog and now im just so hyped i cant wait to start working on season 3, especially since i've been looking forward to this one since i began this blog back in november.

unrelated but tomorrow is the last day of my contract at the daycare, im renewing it for the fall but i'll be only part time again, also the place will be close for a month to give the employees some vacation. nothing to do with occult roommates, just wanted to say.

Weather-Enforced Hiatus :c

It's not cooling down here any time soon, and probably won't until like... September, or even October :/ :/ :/ As a result, I won't be rendering much, if at all, until then.

As usual, you can ping me via DM or Discord if you want to show me something cursed or have me rebagel your works, but I won't really be following my dash in any consistent manner.
