“I’m not really into cliché’s,” the villain, once who the hero thought they could call a friend, hummed under their breath, lip teasing up into a smirk. “So let’s skip the whole ‘join me’ speech, shall we?”

The hero felt the tip of the sword dig into their throat, and they could barely even meet the villain’s eyes. All along, they had never been on their side.

“Are you going to kill me?”

The villain’s brow quirks. “Oh, baby. Maybe I should’ve given you the speech - I’m not going to kill you. I’m just going to skip straight to the part where I drag you from here, kicking and screaming, and make you join my side whether you like it or not. I have always been more acquainted with actions rather than words, after all.”

Writing Prompt 021

“Hello, it’s Villain. Who am I talking to?” Villain said after picking up the phone.

“Villain…” a whispering voice said on the other side “it’s me, Hero. I need your help.” 

“Hero?!” Villain yelled getting out of their chair already walking to the front door “What is happening? Where are you?”

“I’m in the bathroom of my house” Hero whispered “I messed up Villain. I messed up badly.”

“What did you do?” Villain asked as they felt their heart beat rise fearing for Hero’s safety.

“I should never have welcomed them into my house,” Hero whispered now in an even lowered voice as a rumbling could be heard coming from outside the bathroom door

“You got a vampire in your house?!?!?” Villain almost screamed.

“NO!” Hero snapped back as quietly as possible. “The Kirby sale rep! They have been here vacuuming for 4 hours! Can you please come here and scare them away for me…”

Villain punched at Hero, who dodged it gracefully.

Hero ran away from them and froze. "He did not just do that to you." They yelled.

Villain looked at them confused. "Who-"

"No." They yelled, throwing up their hands. "What a bastard."

Villain walked up to them. "Are you talking about me?"

Hero waved them off. "Girl, get out of that relationship. He doesn't deserve you."

They threw up their hands again. "I have some stupid thing right now, but I will be over after this."

Villain pointed to themselves. Hero nodded and waved them off.

"You better have broken up with him by the time I get there." Hero nodded. "Yes, I'll grab ice cream."

Hero said goodbye and turned to Villain. "Can we hurry this up. I've got a friend in crisis."

"What did he do to her?"

Hero rolled their eyes. "He cheated. Multiple times."

"Oh hell no. Let's go help her out of this relationship. You get the ice cream. I'll get the wine."

Villain hurt Hero, hurt Sidekick, hurt the whole team. Villain almost killed all of them. Why was Hero digging them out of the rubble?

“Leave them! They deserve to die.” Vigilante glared at Hero as they hoisted the unconscious villain over their shoulder.

“Maybe they do.” Hero paused, looking at Vigilante. “But their family doesn’t deserve to lose a parent.”

Hero: “D-d-date?!?!”

Villain: (letting out a light sigh) “Yes, my dear.”

Hero: “B-but I thought all these run-ins were so you could get me out of the way!”

Villain eyes lazily look over at hero with something affectionately warm as they slowly take hero’s chin in their hand to look at them and ask. “How could you ever possibly think that I could feel anything other that deep admiration, adoration and fondness for you, my dearest little hero?”

Hero stood frozen. The atmosphere grew more oppressive with every step the villain took. It was hard to think, hard to breathe-

Villain stared down at their cowering form. The smile on their face didn't look quite right. "But you, Hero," they whispered. "You have made it my problem."

Flufftober 2024 Day: 27 Cleaning up

“TODAY IS THE DAY!” Henchman said joyfully as they opened up the broom cupboard. 

There was an unenthusiastic “yay…” from Villain and Villain sidekick as Henchman began laying out all the cleaning supplies.

“What day is it today?” Hero asked, confused.

“Spring cleaning!” Henchman answered as they brought out a pin board.

Hero looked even more confused at that “So why am I here?” Hero asked looking down at the cuffs Hencman had placed on them.

Henchman smirked before saying “You created half of this mess with all your crime fighting. So now you have to clean it!”

“What are you two doing here?” Hero said weakly poking their head out of their bedroom, covered in a blanket. They had been woken up to the sound of people shuffling about and talking in their apartment. Of all the different things they thought it could be, Villain and Henchman cleaning their apartment was not one of them. 

“Go back to bed Hero” Villain said putting the mop into the wall before they walked over to Hero.

Hero tried their best to stop Villain as they lifted them up, but all they could muster was a small “no…” 

“Henchman is making soup for you, and Supervillain is getting you some medicine” Villain said as they placed the sick Hero back in bed.

Hero looked up at them blurry eyed “Why are you doing this?”

“There is no fun doing crime without our favorite crime fighter. Now rest up, we’ll have your apartment clean and food ready soon.”

Thought #236

Hero sighed as they rode the elevator up to their office.

Their day job was not what they wanted to do right now. They wanted to be at home researching Villain and coming up with a plan to stop them.

"You need the money. You need the money." Hero repeated to themselves.

The door opened and they plastered a smile on their face. They walked into the front doors and froze.

Someone stood at the front desk talking to Receptionist.

"Oh, Hero." She said brightly. "Perfect timing. Someone is here to see you."

Hero looked at Villain, who had a huge smile plastered over their face.

Hero took a deep breath and plastered the smile back on their face.

"Hello. Follow me to my office and we can meet there."

Villain nodded and followed Hero.

Hero let Villain into the office and closed the door behind them.

"What are you trying to do?" Hero whispered harshly.

"I thought you would be happy to see me. You have put in so much work in finding where I go that I thought I would throw you a bone." Villain smiled and sat down in one of the chairs.

Hero glared at them at sat at their desk. Villain rifled through some of the papers.

"I also thought I could save you from this dreadfully boring job."

Hero snatched the papers from Villain. "I don't want to hear it."

"You sure?" Villain stood.

"Yes I'm-"

"Cause I could double your salary. And give you time to do whatever you want. Just under one condition."

Hero stood.

"You have to do one mission with me." Villain laughed. "And come live with me, but we can talk about that bit later."

“You’re not perfect, but gods neither am I!” Villain said exasperated. They looked around at the disaster and mess their fight with Hero had caused. 

“I don’t want to fight you anymore, please.” Villain dropped their weapons and tech to the floor and kicked them away. “Please tell me you feel the same.”

Hero hesitated looking at their now defenseless nemesis. Tears filled their eyes but they did not drop their weapons with them. 

“Hero.. What is running through your head, you have to tell me. I love you, I can’t fight you anymore.” Villain looked at Hero pleadingly, hoping they felt the same.

Hero approached the villain, though their eyes never met theirs. “I love you..” 

Hero’s words gave Villain hoped, but it was instantly ripped away from them when they felt Hero snapping cold metal cuffs onto their wrists.

“..but my duty as a hero has to come first..”

Writting prompt :

You're a member of a criminal organisation with healing power with you're healing power everyone assume that you would be on the side of good, the heroes even assume that you were coerced into it or was brainwashed.

When someone finally ask you why you are doing that when you could save peoples instead, you answer that this job offer you a full health care and work insurance benefit, with free rent in the company appartment building, you will be a fool to refuse it, it's sad but you have to pay your rent somehow.
