Hi, I’m Kate (she/her), just another 20-something queer romance writer. When I’m not crafting love stories, you’ll probably catch me experimenting with a new cupcake recipe or cozying up on the couch reading webtoon. When I have the money I want to add all of Hannah Grace and Kate Marchant’s novels to my bookshelf.
I’m a huge Swiftie, and her songs often inspire my writing. I’m also a huge fan of peonies (they’re my favorite flower) and pink gin fizz (because who doesn’t love a good drink to sip while writing?). I also have a cat who’s basically my writing buddy.
Right now, I’m drafting a chaotic, summer romance about a fashion student navigating her tangled love life, a secret past with her best friend, a bad boy with rebellious charm and new sparks with her high school crush. It’s a coming-of-age, friends-to-lovers story full of drama and self-discovery.
Here, you'll find my WIP updates, tag games, character introductions, writing challenges and responses to asks. I also look forward to sharing behind-the-scenes content like playlists, moodboards, and the rants that sums up my drafting process.
Let’s connect! Whether you’re here because you want to know about me or my projects, want to share your WIPs, or just need someone to gush over tropes with, my inbox is always open. Tag me in games or drop an ask—I’d love to hear about your stories!

Hi!! I write original works and am happy to ramble about my ocs or writing to anyone who asks(I’m dying to share help-).
You can call me Rufus!(I swear if I get they both die at the end notes from this-)
I’m an adult, but I don’t really do 18+ content besides swearing and innuendo/dark humor. So I’d say my content is rated Mature, but not Explicit.
My pronouns are he/him!
Fun fact, my favorite color is dark neon-ish blue!
Can’t wait to post more original stories here!!

Writeblr Intro
Well, guess there's a first time for everything. Had no idea folks did this until recently.
Hi ^-^ My name is Sy, I'm 29 years old, queer and a cis-female. I've been writing fictions on and off since my late teens, and I just recently began writing with serious intent. English is my second language, so I apologize if I mess up the spelling or grammar on something. I'm currently in school for computer programming and living with my grandparents, whom I take care of as well. I hope to meet some kind mutuals and share ideas with them ^-^
My hobbies are simple, mostly just video games, reading, writing, annoying my cat, and just vibing. I'm a homebody now, so I don't get into too many crazy shenanigans anymore (if my liver could talk, it'd have stories for days).
I like to write in high fantasy settings, but I tend to experiment with modern AUs from time to time. I have dabbled in Star Wars universe fictions, thanks to a gaming club I've been a part of for nearly three years.
Current WIPs
Ravens of Fate
Star Wars in-universe story of espionage, sabotage, and questioned loyalties. Post Episode VI Imperial POV.
Unnamed WIP
My serious attempt at writing my own story. High-fantasy military team charged with the protection of their sovereign's only daughter. An adventure with lots of action, some angst, and plenty of queer shenanigans. Doesn't have a title yet, but working on it!
If you're also a fellow writer, please interact with this post! I'd love to follow more writeblr blogs and meet new folks.
Well, that's all I got for now. My inbox is always open, so feel free to drop in there. Hope to meet some of y'all soon ^-^

A Writeblr (re)Intro
It feels like an appropriate time to reintroduce myself considering how long I've been gone so,,,,, Howdy!
I'm Charles (he/him), though I'll answer to just about any variation of my name. I'm a 23 year old neurodivergent trans dude from the US.
My mutuals might remember my main wip/special interest project The Magician and Ms. Psychic. It's about a young woman struggling to make a name for herself as a supervillain (wip intro here).
I have a few new side projects I'll probably introduce at some point, but 90% of the time auDHD brain has trouble focusing on anything but my dumbass gay supervillain wip.
I love tag games! I'm probably going to be a bit slow to respond to games while I'm easing back into being active here, but tag games are always a ton of fun!
My ask box is open! Feel free to ask me about my wips or my characters, or even just pop in and tell me some cool things about your characters or let me know how your writing is going.

i'd love to follow some writeblr blogs, even though i don't have my projects page up atm. my name's noah, i'm 30, and i like to write horror, sci-fi, romance, fantasy, supernatural, and occasionally stuff that has to do with superpowers.
i would love to follow other people's projects because i get a kick out of commenting on other people's stuff and interacting with people and making friends.
please be 18 if you follow, and 22+ if you decide to interact, thanks.
my main current projects are:
death is the maiden: which is essentially a story of a woman from a war-torn planet summoning death, becoming death's maiden and head reaper, and eventually becoming death itself. it's kind of a comedy, fantasy, and horror somehow.
the palms universe: various stories in an au 1980s involving people who have superpowers, but keep them on the down-low (mostly) and the struggles that come with that. the main character is a character who can't die, and who's struggling with the feeling of loss and living with it. these stories are a mix of horror, psychological thrillers, and loosely noir.

Writeblr Intro
Hello, writeblr! I finally caved and got tumblr, mostly because I love rambling about my wips and hearing other people ramble about theirs and all of that lovely stuff, so this seemed like a great platform to do that. With that being said, I plan on posting about my wips and ocs, as well as art related to those things, so if that interests you at all, I’d love to see you stick around. Also feel free to call me either Pumpkin or Maria, it’s entirely up to you!
About my writing
I’ve found that I really enjoy writing in a variety of genres, so hopefully at least one of my wips will tickle your fancy. Though I’d say a common thing for me is that I really like to world build, so my wips tend to be sci-fi, fantasy, or magical realism of some variety. Anything where I can put my own spin on the setting is something I’m bound to enjoy writing about.
I write in third person, usually with multiple povs, and I really enjoy character driven stories.
I often like to have a wide variety of ages in the cast, and if I had to pick a favorite trope it would be found family, so that’s usually present to some degree in my stuff.
Tonally, I always include light-hearted moments here and there, even if the wip is very bleak. It provides some levity, and I think it makes the painful stuff hit a lot harder. This is probably partially why I put some thought into each character’s sense of humor.
Most of my wips are geared towards older teens and adults, but I’ll get more into content warnings when I talk about each individually, because it really varies.
I’m one of those writers that kills off a lot of characters, so this is your warning not to get attached /j
I’m demisexual, so at least one character being on the ace spectrum is like a requirement for me at this point.
I’m a plantser, and pretty bad at staying motivated to actually finish first drafts.
About my wips
Falling Up
Falling Up is a sci-if story set in the future where Earth is a utopia where inhabitants experience little to no hardships throughout their lives. The deceased are replaced with AI created to replicate them, and everything is automated to the point where people no longer need to work to make a living. This lack of struggle results in dull, perfect lives and skewed morals. The people crave entertainment, even if it means making others suffer for it. Quasdom, a miniature man made planet initially intended to be used to separate deviants from the rest of the perfect society, is used as a catalyst for entertainment. The people of Quasdom believe that those on Earth are superior to them, and that Earth is a place where any wish can come true. This leads to the tourney, a death game between groups of ten on Quasdom, being viewed similarly to winning the lottery. The winning team gets to go to Earth, after all. Being chosen for the tourney is the luckiest thing that can happen to you. There’s no hard feelings between participants, death is completely painless, and the afterlife will welcome any participants to a better life than they previously had. There’s nothing to fear, so smile and put on a show.
A large cast and lots of character deaths
An exploration of why we get so attached to fictional characters, and how fiction can have an impact on reality
Probably going to be a trilogy
Content warnings include language, some unsettling themes, depictions of mental health issues, and generally things that are more psychological. Despite it being a death game, there’s no gore, like at all. The people on Earth may be desensitized, but they aren’t accustomed to seeing blood, so the tourney is designed with that in mind
Facade
Facade is set in a world where the living world and the spirit world coexist. Due to some actions by the main antagonist, about 20 years prior to the current story, spirits started getting aggressive and sort of going haywire. They possess any person they can, turning the individual into an uncontrollable killing machine. The best defense to this was the invention of a certain kind of mask that prevents possession, and masks quickly became widespread. Since there’s no known way to reverse spiritual possession, the only solution is to kill those that are unfortunate enough to meet that fate. A group led by an anonymous vigilante known as K9 seek to find a way to reverse possession. Many enemies are made along the way, and there are countless obstacles to face.
Its setting is based on Singapore and set in the 90s, though there are many creative liberties taken
The wip is currently pretty no plot just vibes
Themes about individuality vs equality
Content warnings include language and some sexual content
Facade: After Dark
While Facade is currently no plot just vibes, developing the characters led to me thinking of the plot for a prequel. Is it a self-indulgent novella about two of the characters I love? Yes, absolutely. In summary, it’s a romance novella about the the relationship of Leijing and Iris, and their struggles in navigating the wild world of Facade. They have vastly different upbringings and experiences, but their differences bring them together in more ways than one.
I have so much backstory for this pre-established couple and I couldn’t think of a good way to incorporate it into the main story without cutting a bunch of it, so boom it’s a prequel now
I’ve found that working on a wip that’s more low stakes and simple is really fun—I tend to get stressed about my more ambitious plots, so this wip is a great change of pace
Leijing is demisexual with little interest in anything sex related and Iris is an omnisexual sex worker, and the story explores how a world obsessed with all things sex can effect both more sex-negative and sex-positive people
Content warnings include language, explicit sexual content, and potentially triggering subject matters. This is my only wip where it’s strictly 18+!
Lights Out
Sunlight is the essence of life. Without it, the world would wither away. However, a dangerous new life form of unknown origin festers in the light. With long, elegant glimmering limbs, high intelligence, picturesque precision, and a craving for flesh, these organisms pose a major threat to humanity. But for some odd reason, these creatures refuse to step into any area where the sun doesn’t touch. Much of humanity takes to the shadows, building elaborate underground tunnels for civilizations and doing what humans do best—using their resources and ingenuity to adapt.
Has two protagonists that butt heads but start to develop a father daughter dynamic. A young adult girl who’s from the underground and unknowingly part of a cult, and an older man with one leg who’s so stubborn he’d rather fight and die than flee to the darkness
Lots of creepy cult imagery and themes about religious trauma
So much banter of course
Content warnings include language, disturbing imagery, and gore
If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading! Asks, comments, tag games, and messages are always appreciated, and I’d love to hear about your wips as well!

Things to Include in Writeblr Intro Posts
I wanted to make this list because whenever I create a new story, I always scour tumblr and other people's posts for inspiration for what to include in my own posts. I always end up forgetting what I found and liked so here's everything compiled.
You don't have to include everything within this list for your own posts, this was just a general summary of everything I saw. The bolded items are things I strongly think you should include, but again it's up to you and your preference.
Below the lists, I've also included character development resources and writing advice. Hope you enjoy! Everything is beneath the cut.

writeblr introduction + edits
My name is Rowan (she/her/they) and I am brand new to writeblr, but not new to tumblr as a whole. I'm 29 (while writing this), cis-female and queer. I have been writing since around 2016 but this year will be the first time I will be publishing something original (aka not fanfiction ><). Though, I have been writing my own original work since 2017, I have yet to publish.
I wanted to join the writing community for the fun of being a part of one again. Honestly, I miss being a part of one since I stopped writing fanfiction. If you love chatting about writing and art, talk at me about it anytime.
Genres I write: Fantasy, Horror and Science Fiction Genres I read: literally all the other ones
Things I enjoy in books and also what I tend to write:
tragedy/tragic backstory
morally grey characters
found family (my favorite)
real stakes/consequences
horror themes
lgbtqia2+ characters in a queer normal world
adult and ya fiction
platonic friendships
family drama
mystery elements
mythological & shapeshifters
What I'm looking for:
More writers to follow!
Beta readers/Critique
Vibes and frens :)
I will follow back other writeblrs! I am looking forward to meeting you all ^_^

introducing my writeblr! ✒️
about me
My name is Margo and I've been writing for recreation ever since I could remember. My problem has always been one of committing long enough to finish something. I hope that creating a writeblr will help me with my motivation and self-esteem issues.
I do not plan on ever publishing professionally, as it is not feasible in my country. Nevertheless, I like to write and share my ideas. In a way, my friends are my publishing market. I’ve felt that my past ideas and WIPs were severely undercooked/immature, and it’s my hope that entering this community will help me grow as a writer.
I mostly read and write works withing the broader genre of fantasy. If magic or a secondary world is involved count me in!
Most of my writing involves fantasy in some way or another, and I try to create characters who are messy and who contradict themselves. I have also found I put a lot of focus on female and queer characters, though I do not like to write romance as a focus. I used to love to worldbuild, but recently I've rooted myself in personal experience and my own academic knowledge.
my current wips
the ninth gate – three unlikely friends uncover secrets in the tiny village they’re stuck in
Stranded in the ridiculously small and isolated village of Briande, Maya, Julian, and Evie try to avert the Apocalypse that the wider world pretends isn’t coming. Involves a lot of magic, a little bit of mystery, and plenty of small village shenanigans.
discordant blades – a girl must navigate the complicated world of politics, magic, and bloody feuds after being sent to live in the capital of a sprawling and decaying empire
Started as What if Romeo and Juliet involved magic? and evolved into a whirlwind of forbidden love, magic duels, and bureaucracy. This WIP is not my current focus, though I like to come back to it every now and again.
i'm eager to talk to other writers and make friends. feel free to drop a message! 💫

ill do a longer, more official intro at some point but for now: my name is third king january ! i'm currently twenty two, and hoping to use writeblr as motivation to keep up with my wips, write as many short stories as possible, and send my work to lit mags.
my favorite genre is horror and magical realism, but i'll read anything as long as it's good. i'll admit i'm a picky reader with a preference for prose that leaves me 🥹😲 and ambiguous stories where it's up to you to piece it together.
if you write or post your own og fiction or are a writeblr yourself, please interact with me / this post! i would like to meet as many new people as possible. please reblog if you can as my main goal with this post is to find mutuals :^) !
thank you!

writeblr intro :3
Hi, everyone, I'm Trixie! I'm a young (but adult) writer and classicist, currently in the middle of publishing my novella, Memento Vivere. I also write short stories and am working on a couple novels! I go by shey/heir neopronouns but if that's too complicated she/they is tolerable too.
My favourite genre is the mystery-murder mystery-crime-thriller-horror area, but I dabble in a lot, including historical and fantasy! I love to write dialogue and I am a compulsive world builder for fantasy, including seven partially made conlangs.
Writing commissions are currently closed, but editing commissions are open.
I'd love to connect with more writers :3
my novella: memento vivere
horror/thriller
will be available as paperback, ebook, and deluxe edition
every single character is a horrible person
high stakes, little time, and a lot of character death >:3
Aidan Whitney, four times ex-prime minister, wakes up chained to a bed in a room with ten other people. The only way to escape? Making accusations that kill the accused, and, if incorrect, kill the accuser.
my short stories and novels below the cut!
my short stories
One Hundred Times, or a retelling of orpheus and eurydice in which orpheus looks back a hundred times for a hundred different reasons with a hundred different reactions
The Wasp, or three polyamorous women trying to make it work in between crime and betrayal
untitled fairy wip, or a first person POV of a somewhat stuck up researcher into the fair folk
"you can't protect her forever" AKA woman offers herself up to be tortured to protect her girlfriend
a crime solving gang of polyamorous women head undercover into a den of crime, magic, sex, drugs, and lies, and come out of it a little less unattached
a failing demon falls in love with a beautiful angel, only to find that things are not as they appear
Blood Dice, or where in a realm not quite real, millie learns to play for her life
For Want of a Ticket (complete), or a western girl runs elaborate scams on strangers, complete with an undertone of sadness (and loneliness)
my novels
my beautiful time travel catastrophe, featuring an obscenely large cast of characters all from different time periods that come together against their will to save the timeline
Trinity, AKA what attempts to be a neutral retelling of hades and persephone, told from three perspectives: hades, persephone, and demeter. the goal of this one is to write what is clearly the same narrative with different perspectives, and ultimately tries to not hold anyone at fault
"the lillian ainsworth murder" AKA a late victorian setting for a murder mystery, featuring repressed gays, mysterious marriages, financial debt, family feuds, and an unsettling promise for revenge
a very rough plan for what is essentially out of timeline parasites that overtake someone's body with the aim of assassinating targets
untitled bacchae-inspired wip, or where an unsuspecting oxford student gets a sinister boyfriend that likes drinks and all-female orgies, and then the murders begin
backwards murder mystery, where a seasoned detective is vindicated when the unsettling up-and-comer officer reveals himself as a serial killer - but why? what does he hope to gain?
untitled heist wip, where magic is rare and highly sought after, used for volatile healing and the most dangerous of weapons, except in england, where it makes the trains run on time. low fantasy featuring found family, crime, family secrets, and mutations that won't stay hidden - this one is in collaboration with my good friend @elizabeth-writes!

The United Earth Ship Archimedes patrols the border of charted space. Beyond it - the vast and unexplored reaches of the universe.
It’s an exciting prospect for Aster Kobor, newly graduated from the fleet academy and hoping to make her mark upon the stars. Unfortunately, it only takes a few weeks for Aster to realise that the Archimedes is nicknamed ‘the screw’ for a reason. It’s a ship for the rejects and misfits, those deemed unfit to serve in the frontier ships and command never lets them do anything exciting. Still, Aster is determined to make the best of it and, unbeknownst to her, her meddling Captain is about to give the crew of the Archimedes their chance to show command what they're made of.
Soon a bad reputation is the least of their troubles and, whether the crew like it or not, they’ll have to learn to survive in deep space - where their only certainty is each other.

Summary
Bea had always been fascinated by the railways, but her dream of driving one of the locomotives always seemed out of reach. Working the trains is dangerous, dirty, and completely off limits to the fairer sex.
Then the war came and the men went off the fight. Answering the call to help, Bea and her fellow railway volunteers find themselves with an opportunity of a lifetime. Obscured from judging eyes by steam and smoke they shadow the veteran drivers and engineers, learning what they can on the job and hitting the library when they can't.
The trains need to run, they are vital to the war effort. All it would take is one rogue bomb, one mishap to take out a driver and the wheels stop spinning.
Or at least, that's what the station manager thinks.
