new year new writeblr intro! hi, i'm jiayi, or indigowriting, and i'm a west asian uni student and writer. i follow from indigostudies, my main/langblr/studyblr.

my favourite genres are historically inspired and science fiction, and i've written a handful of short stories and a couple novel first drafts. i currently don’t have an active project, but i talk about my drafted/hiatus wips fairly frequently. if you want to be added or removed from the taglist, send me an ask or dm!

In the UK Sonic comic, Sonic transforms into Super after exposure to large amounts of chaos energy or in times of great stress. Super is a violent, chaotic monster that destroys everything and everyone he sees until he loses power and reverts back to Sonic. Halfway through the comic, Super and Sonic are physically separated. Super then loses his powers and--briefly--his memories, becoming a nice little guy who wanders Metropolis Zone getting adopted by sweet old ladies. This includes Ebony the Mystic Mog (a witch/sorceres) and Pyjamas the Psychic. They take him in as family and give him a job at Ebony's coffee bar The Groovy Train. As Super's chaos energy fades, he starts dying. Ebony takes him to find the Chaos Emeralds to heal him, but runs into the Sonic Adventure 1 plot. Super absorb's Chaos' energy and becomes evil again, until Ebony seals him away in Sonic's body.

Hopefully some of that was apparent already! The only changes I've made to canon before this point is letting Super choose a new name as Fleet :)

It's been confirmed that Liam will be honoured at the Brit Awards(Saturday, March 1st) HOWEVER, it is not yet confirmed if the rest of the boys will reunite to honour him, or if they'll even be there. If they don't, please please please, be respectful of their decision, they might still be grieving the loss of their friend(brother), or they might just be finding it hard to be getting up on stage right now, which is perfectly okay. It's just important, that if they honour him, or don't, if they show up, or don't, or even if they are there and don't preform, that we respect their decisions, and show them our support

Quick question; so there have been instances where we have seen Eyhm speak (certain art, in Monster she speaks a little) but I'm curious, if she can speak, does she just choose not to speak often? Or is there another reason?

she is able to speak a bit, yes! mostly fairly short sentences, she's not the best with words, think of her as having the same speaking abilities as a 4-5 year old child! so no big, difficult words, but she can talk a bit more if she's comfortable enough! she speaks in normal words about as often as just making simple cat noises, no real reason, usually it's just easier to not talk if she doesn't need to.

but, here's a cute fact for you, she does have nicknames for a few of her friends!

Peppino: Peppy! (easier to say, really!)

Fake Peppino: Fakey! (also what Noisette calls him, which is why he likes that name!) Noise/Noisette: Mr./Mrs. Bunny! (she thinks Noise looks like a bunny just as much as Noisette does!)

so,  quick  note!

while  catherine  can  come  off  sweet  and  cute,  she  is  nowhere  near.  she  is  a  chaotic-evil  type  character  and  has  been  quite  known  to  fool  and  deceive  others   –  she  prides  herself  on  that.  this  said,  this  makes  her  a  villain,  and  I  think  we  all  know  what  writers  of  villainous  characters  do  not  like.

1.  no,  your  muse  cannot  talk-no-jutsu  her  into  changing.  catherine  changes  when  it  benefits  her,  but  it’s  not  because  she  saw  the  light  or  wants  to  redeem  herself;  she’s  comfortable  the  way  she  is.  “I  can  change  her”,  no,  my  love,  you  absolutely  cannot.

2.  unless  your  muse  is  some  type  of  mind  reader  or  really  knows  her,  no,  they  wouldn’t  know  that  catherine  has  some  ulterior  motive  just  by  looking  at  her.  unfortunately,  I  have  seen  this  with  other  villainous  muses  that  kinda  share  the  same  mindset  /  attributes  as  her.  please  do  not  do  this,  it  takes  the  fun  and  mystery  out  of  it.

3.  catherine  is  very  powerful.  she  is  the  daughter  of  a  powerful  demon  as  well.  she  cannot  be  easily  defeated  ––  so  no,  a  human  muse,  and  even  some  supernatural  muses,  is  not  going  to  down  her  so  easily.

sometimes  mistakes  happen,  and  if  I  notice  any  of  these  happening  in  the  threads,  I  will  reach  out  about  it,  but  if  it  becomes  a  consistent  thing  after  I  have  reached  out,  I  will  drop  the  thread.  I  don’t  write  many  villain  muses,  but  I  thought  I  should  make  this  because  I  have  seen  what  other  muns  of  villain  muses  have  to  go  through,  so  I  wanted  to  put  this  out  there  as  a  precaution.

ohmygod i cannot stop praising this show for the life of me BUT, another thing that i really like about jack&joker is that the violence it has is actually depicted realistically. like if someone is hit in the head with a glass bottle, it’s going to bleed. it doesn’t have any of that ”oh these two characters had a fist fight so now they have one of these tiny little bandaids on their face but no blood no bruises no nothing”.

and i’m not trying to glorify violence, it’s just that if there’s some in a show, i like when it’s done realistically. if something happens that should make someone bleed, then show them bleeding, please.

Small Update

Hi, guys... First things first, I am so sorry for suddenly disappearing on everyone after the last update for this story in late November. I've spent the last week trying to figure out the best way to word this, but it's still a bit difficult for me. It's a bit of a long post, so I'm adding a cut here to let you keep scrolling if you'd like, no worries! TLDR: Story update(s) expected within the next two weeks ^_^

December was great! A little rough, but I actually did a daily drawing challenge on my main account and had a lot of fun right up until New Years. Then January happened, and uh - Things didn't go great. I really don't want to get into detail, and I'd hate to make anyone feel even the slightest bit uncomfortable, but I unfortunately went through something that completely wrecked my ability to trust and feel safe around people larger and stronger than me.

By the time I was able to get out of that warped state of mind, months had passed? I genuinely feel like I just blinked, but here we are at the end of March now. Time flew by, just like that. Anyway... I didn't want my experience to seep into my writing. At all. And now I'm feeling a lot more confident that I can actually do that again.

So, hopefully within the next two weeks we'll be back on track ^_^
