HOW HAVE YOU BEEN?? Hope you’re doing well!

It’s been awhile since I’ve been active on tumblr so I wanted to check on my mut ☺️

IM GOOD!! Kind of. I melt into a puddle that splashes over sharing when asked how I am but

I'm working with teenagers!! And holy shit.

I got (accidentally) slammed in the face with a football in the gym... what the poor bleachers they were aiming at did to earn their ire I don't know. Pretty sure I might have something like a concussion from that? Also my glasses broke. Fun times. Anyways.

Before the school session starts I'm working much longer hours so 'how I'm doing' basically boils down to earning the trust and respect of kids at the age where they do Not Trust and Respect. It's going well so far tho! It's been a week and they've gotten much more chill with me :)))

But it is starting to seem like getting slammed in the face with a football unexpectedly in the first week was a very accurate introduction to working with teenagers.

How do you guys feel about Silver being your son? I mean, Shadow lives forever, so I could definitely see Shadow having Silver. And then Silver could inherit his kindness and naivety from Amy...

But overall, what are YOUR opinions on that thought? And do you think Amy would be a "Momma Bear"?

Amy: It's weird- you're not the first person to ask about that here. Hope you don't mind that we just sort of, you know, address this all at once. Shadow: ...Silver is from 200 years in the future. Amy: That's the thing you respond with? Shadow: It- it's the most logical and irrefutable piece of evidence we have! Amy: Shadow, if time travel is real, then it doesn't matter where we think he's from. For all we know, he could be from 1,000 years in the future, 2,000 years in the past, or from present day. 200 years ahead of our time is just where he calls home and where he says he's from. Boggart

Because at 14, everything feels so long and permanent. Especially when the future is uncertain.

Honestly this was inspired by this post asking about your MC's boggart. I always figure that my MC's would fall into a more similar vein like Hermione where her boggart represents more of a symbol/idea.

When read up on reddit on Hermione's boggart was Professor McGonagall, someone pointed out saying that it's more of a symbolic thing when you look into it under a deeper light. With Professor McGonagall saying she failed all her classes, Hermione could get expelled from Hogwarts and get her wand snap. Essentially denying her from the wizarding world.

Since Hermione -a muggleborn witch- wants to belong in the wizarding world (when the muggle world rejected her), she is trying to prove that she deserve to belong in the wizarding world through her grades and by being at the top of her class. Hermione failing her classes could risk her getting kicked out and getting her wand snap. The McGonagall boggart failing her is symbolic of her true fear - belonging no where.

While Hermione a girl trying to belong somewhere and doesn't want to be kicked out, Iñaki is a girl who's afraid that she'll never go back home.

What's a more permanent way of saying you aren't returning to your home country by getting a passport (symbolizing that you got naturalized) of your adopted country? More about Iñaki "MC" Martinez Cariaga

Reading the ask about whether or not Akoya and Randal could have a human child did make me wonder about something else. If they were to have a human child, would their DNA be as if it came from pre-mewification Randal? Would they be genetically related to Vivi? An interesting train of thought, really. Though I wouldn't wish a human pregnancy on anyone.

I keep learning new things about pregnancy from my co-workers that dissuade me from ever having kids of my own. X3

I see Randy's human transformation as a near perfect copy of his previous human body, with the eyes being the major exception. So I would consider their hypothetical human kid genetically related to Viv, yeah.

My knowledge on the subject is shallow, though, so I could be objectively wrong. X3

Try list any Octo-Agents and think of an Episode you Think give them a Shining Moment

W O O F this took a while– I was thinking long and hard about this because there are SO MANY good moments and episodes 😅, and so many agents– it was difficult, but I’m happy with my answers 👀

Ranger Marsh’s Shine Episode is definitely The Monitor Lizards. I LOVE this episode, it’s one of my favourites in the whole series so far—not just because of the events in it, but as a concept. I LOVE the callback to the Great Swamp Search!! I watched the 2nd season blind, and seeing all these familiar faces was SUCH a fun surprise. It’s good for Ranger Marsh as a character, because it actually shows him doing his job as a Ranger, not as an Octo-Agent. It also reinforces the fact that he truly cares for and is friends with these creatures, even if they are invasive, and that he's willing to travel to check in on them. This is another episode that also proves (to me) that the writers know they’re dealing with an older audience for the show, and are more likely to delve into solid lore and continuity. This episode makes me really hopeful for more of that.

Natquik’s Shine Episode, WITHOUT QUESTION, is The Red Fox. Honestly I feel like I don’t need to explain why, but I will because I like talking ✨: Natquik is my favourite Octo-Agent, but overall we haven’t actually gotten that many episodes dedicated to him yet. The Red Fox gives us a close and personal look into what Natquik is like by himself (I love episodes where characters are alone 👀), how he deals with problems (by ignoring them until they get worse—which is interesting... *stares at Barnacles*...), and even hints toward his family, by showing us his family portraits, and leaving us wondering, “Where are they?” – There are so many moments I love in this episode, from when he first discovers the kits, decides to help them stay warm, rushes to protect Barnacles, to his bittersweet goodbye at the end. It’s all so perfect.

Tracker absolutely shines in The Missing Lake. Honestly, he shines a LOT in Above and Beyond, considering he never got his own episode in the main series, and was only in Operation Deep Freeze for two scenes. AnB has been really good to Tracker, and I’m so grateful they decided to make him an Agent. The Missing Lake sticks out to me the most, because for the most part he is by himself (and I’ve already mentioned my love for that <3), and unlike all his other episodes, we get to really see him be responsible and use his Polar Scout skills in action. He’s often portrayed as a follower, who just goes along with whatever he's told to do, but he takes charge twice in this episode: when he offers to help Rowan, and when he stays behind to save Buck. Love that for him.

Calico Jack. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Calico Jack....... I could talk forever about this funky old cat man. He doesn’t just shine, he GLOWS in every episode he’s in—but alas, for the sake of this post I will be focusing on The Harlequin Duck. I love the showing of his gentle parental instincts in this episode, and his singing; since we know he canonically has a theme song, that I headcanon he wrote himself. I think far too much, and often, about how he legit panicked when he realized the egg was missing. How his first instinct was to hide that fact from Captain Barnacles. He was terrified, having a full blown panic attack on screen. He apologizes to the mother duck with such genuine solace, and promises to get it back “On [his] honour as a pirate!” ...Which is extremely significant to me, considering Kwazii was the first character to EVER say the phrase: “On me honour as an Octonaut!” in The Flying Fish after Inkling’s book was lost – and of course as a final touch, I adore seeing him work with Pete to get the egg back. The way he tosses the egg in the air, fully trusting that Pete will catch it... they’re so in sync, just as pirate and parrot are meant to be ;)

Paani... I feel like there’s so much more to him than what we’ve seen so far, it almost feels unfair to assign him a “Shine Episode”. So, instead of highlighting a single episode, I’ll quickly talk about three that stick out (PS: you might sense a theme 🤣):

The Barnacle Geese - Uncle Paani. I like the “I’ll be my own uncle” joke, and the Edgar Allen Poe reference. I think Paani’s determination to help the chick (who doesn’t seem to want help) is nice to watch, and helps to prove his worthiness as an Agent—which is always fun considering his hesitance when Barnacles tried to recruit him in S1E1. In a way, this episode also makes Paani seem more like Barnacles. See my old post analyzing the show’s intro. (*Stares at the episode title* 👁️👁️)

The Arabian Camels - Take a shot of cocoa every time I mention my love for episodes where characters are forced to be by themselves. This one is especially interesting to me though, because we know that Paani was alone, for a very long time, before he met the Octonauts. He has no trouble working and getting by alone, and we get to see him exhibiting that, while being out of his element (a dry desert) at the same time; and that’s really cool.

The Lonely Frog - ...Y’know how they constantly make the Octonauts/Agents meet creatures with similar issues to them? Yeah. *Stares at the episode title.* *Stares at the end scene where he says “Kinda like when I met you guys!” before obnoxiously jumping into the lake, in response to Shellington+Peso saying “They never even knew each other existed before! [...] and now it’s like they’ve known each other all their lives!”* *STARES MORE AT THE EPISODE TITLE,,* *wonders how long Paani was actually alone before becoming an Agent...*

Pinto, where art thou? He wasn’t in S2 at all, which was a bit disappointing since we just saw him get an Octowatch in S1. I would’ve expected him to be pressing that button every chance he got, giving us a “Penguin who cried Octoalert” episode. But anyway,, The Curious Penguin is the PERFECT episode for Pinto. It shows his personality really well, and I love how his distractions and the things he learns and discovers help him to save the day in the end. I think Pinto (just like Kwazii) is a good portrayal of ADHD, and how he just needs to be in the right environment to succeed. Each time Pinto messes up or loses focus, isn’t because he was left alone and couldn’t be trusted—it’s because he was left alone and understimulated. So when he’s thrown into a sudden high-stakes situation, all of his focus hones in on the moment, and he’s able to save Dashi and Paani by himself.

AND, because you didn’t say it had to be an Above and Beyond moment, I want to throw some love at The Oarfish episode from the main series. In this episode, Pinto no longer views Peso as “less” than an Octonaut, and is so excited to watch him do his job—it’s really cute!! His impulsivity is once again a positive thing—granted, it seems to annoy Peso a little, but when you think about it he kinda saved the day by being impulsive. He sounded the Octoalert without permission, which let the captain know to come back before their radio signal cut out, and by being unafraid of the “monster” and swimming outside, he was able to discover what the problem was so that Peso could help. He did good.

Pearl.... I love Pearl a lot, but I can’t think of one specific episode that comes to mind for her. I love The Pupfish because it introduces Peri to AnB, and I love how he teaches her how to tie a knot, so she can save the algae (and Glen). I like The Bison episode because it’s interesting watching her not doing something with algae for once, and The Pink Glacier because her and Kwazii’s dynamic was something I didn’t know I needed, but now I want more of (/p).

Ryla. Possibly controversial opinion: I liked Ryla in The Caves of Sac Actun, more than I like her now in Above and Beyond. I know she’s only gotten 3 episodes so far, but she’s really missing something. Sac Actun gave us lore on her right off the bat: she’s old friends with Dashi, she’s a skilled cave explorer, she’s spunky, she’s purple. AnB hasn’t given us much yet. So far her only shtick is caves, and that’s getting a bit repetitive. Consider every moment she has in Sac Actun as her “Shining Moment”, because honestly that whole movie is a 10/10.

Koshi,,,, she hasn't gotten that much yet, but I'm gonna say The Longfin Eels is her Shine Episode. I like the way she narrates the whole episode, because it's very in-character. Plus we know she’s literally writing about this adventure in her diary as she's telling it, as if it were a mystery book. She reminds me of narrators from 1920s film noirs, and that’s cool. Also! Honorary mention of the scene when she gets her Octowatch: I loved that for her <3

Min is below the cut, because my answer for her includes some very heavy SEASON 5 SPOILERS, including SCREENSHOTS:

All of Min's appearances so far are dear to my heart. However, my favourite has to be her own introductory episode: The Giant Chinese Salamander.

The Rainforest Rescue is another amazing episode for Min—she’s a wonderful character on her own, of course—but I think we can all agree that she and Inkling are very adorable together (no matter how you interpret their relationship).

When Above and Beyond aired on Netflix, there was a lot of confusion around Min, from the younger audience and other fans who hadn’t seen S5. The Giant Chinese Salamander introduces Min with a 20-minute special; showing her in high-stakes action with Kwazii, bonding with the Octonauts, being an all-around Cool Person™, and a flashback of how she met Inkling when they were younger.

She saved his life. He was thrown far inland by a rough storm, and was trapped until she found him. I honestly headcanon that Min partially (if not outright) inspired Inkling to form the Octonauts, and this moment could have literally sealed the fate of EVERYTHING we know.

But! Until S5 comes out, that's all I've got to say~ 👋💝

Lee Know + Get Lit

The building is loud, and his head throbs louder as he stumbles down the hall and into the first room he can open, vision blurring. One outstretched hand grazes something soft, and he collapses on top of the bed sideways before his brain can fathom catching up, the ceiling fan above him spinning madly.

Colors weave in and out from the far window, and the bass of a new song shakes the floor, again and again and again, but he is the one lost in rhythm, disjointed. 

Someone must've spiked the punch, and he must've been the unlucky lottery winner. If only he could win the actual lottery, then maybe college wouldn't feel so pointless, or endless or...who was he kidding? It would always feel pointless when he was so lost already - 

Something buzzes, obnioxus and iccessant against his side.

He spends an awful amount of time searching around him before realizing that it's coming from nowhere else but his jeans pocket. His phone, the only thing sober within a mile. He nearly drops it twice before bringing the screen close enough to see, a few messages glaring back at him. 

chris: i didn't mean it chris: i'm sorry chris: come back

bin: i'm outside waiting bin: unless you've already apologized for something that wasn't your fault 

hannie: where are you?

"Obviously not with you," Minho mutters as he tosses the phone and throws his head back against the blanket.

It was all his fault, wasn't it?

He thought he did a good job setting boundaries this time, not crossing wires, staying in tact. But now it was all messed up, because he couldn't keep his mouth shut, or learn his lesson from last time. He was dumb to think this time would be different anyway, with someone like him, with a group like them. People like them would discover who he was before he had a chance to hide behind a cigarette or alcohol. 

"Fuck," he grumbles, hands reaching up to press against his eyes. 

He keeps them there until he sees spots, pretending that maybe it'll take this horrible feeling of messing everything up once again away, but all it does it make him more dizzy when he stares up at the ceiling again.

The fan attached hangs off-center to the rest of the room, and the popcorn ceiling flashes with the different colors that leak from the window.

It's too dark to see what color the walls are, or whose room this could possibly be, when all he needed was a moment to breathe, away from the party, away from the crowd, away from Chan's pitiful looks and the tug of Han's mouth every time he laughed at something Minho said when anyone else would've found it stupid.

Everything was fine, until Minho had gotten too comfortable, alcohol settling deep in his belly, the couch soft against his back, Han's knee pressing against his thigh. 

He slipped, and Chan hadn't helped, and he was calling Changbin for a ride before things could get worse, and then Changbin had said he was on his way and had reminded him that he should've just gone to the bowling alley with him but Minho didn't want to fucking bowl with the guy he's known since he was a child when Han would be here and -

He was so hopeless. His phone buzzes again, and again. He decides to focus on the multicolored lights instead, watching as they swap every few seconds. 

Red. Blue. Yellow. 

Red. Blue. Green.

Red. Blue -

Would it kill them to use more than one different color?

He groans, stomach twisting.

Maybe watching the colors wasn't such a good idea when his stomach felt like a barrel full of rocks rolling around. He drank too much, allowed his words to grow too loose, and now he was holed up in somebody's bedroom.

It would probably only take Changbin another two text messages before he stormed into the party and found Minho himself, and a part of him can't help but chuckle aloud at the look he was sure would be on the shorter's face, cheeks pinched and lips twisted. Or maybe Chan would stumble his way in here, apologizes crisp on the tip of his tongue. Or Han, clueless and hopeful about somebody who was...him. 

His stomach tosses again, and he exhales, struggling to quell the feeling. Getting sick in somebody's bedroom at a college party was not on his bucket list in life.

He's so focused on the prospect of not doing so that he doesn't hear the sound of the door opening, or the drunken laughter that grows louder and closer to him as the door shuts again. 

He groans as he feels someone get close to him, and hears the crumble of a can as it's tossed to the ground. "Room's occupied," he grumbles, loud enough so that he's sure he's heard. 

"Looks like it," a voice he doesn't recongize replies with a haughty laugh. 

Minho grimaces at the deep tone. He'd roll his eyes if it wouldn't make him dizzier. Instead he lifts himself the best he can and perches on his elbows, debating if punching a random guy would be seen as too aggressive or not.

He decides words would be better than physical violence after a good minute or so of considering his chances. 

"Get out," he deadpans, attempting to steady the closest guy with a meancing glare. There's three of them, ranging in different heights, but all sporting the same glazed eyes and drunken grins.

Minho hates himself all over again for drinking far too much. He could probably take them if he really wanted to, but between the way the room spins periodically and the chruning of his stomach, he's not fit to do much else but stare at them impatiently.

"I said get out," he repeats, slower this time, louder. 

The one closest to him reaches a hand down, fingers sliding around his wrist. Minho immediately recoils, attempting to pull his arm away, but the other man doesn't let go. 

"Get off of me," he spits, the lights outside filling the room with an ugly shade of red once more. "I'm not interested, get out." The grip on his wrist doesn't falter, and a different one snickers, growing closer. 

"We didn't ask," the farthest man voices, Minho's head snapping to the left just in time to see the way he looks at him, shivers shooting down his spine at the empty expression that stares back at him. 

Turning too fast makes him sick, but the horrible thought that enters his head shortly after is worse, someone else's fingers pinching at the skin of his hip in his daze.

Another hand is on his other wrist, and the room is bathed in a deep blue as he tries to move, kicking one leg out and catching someone in the stomach. They grunt, stunned, but before he can do any other damage, someone is grabbing at his legs, and someone else is climbing on top of him. 

"Looks like we got a fighter," they say, pushing him down against the mattress. He can't move, he can't breathe, he feels sick, he's scared, he's terrified - "The best kind, hm?" 

Minho tries to scream, but it's smothered under a stranger's palm. He thinks of Chan, Han. Changbin telling him to stay away from them all, because he knows him best. He thinks of himself, constantly self-destructing because it's easier than dealing with anything serious.

He tries to scream again. He sees a new flash of light from the window before the world around him finally fades away.

...

"Minho?" Chan calls, pushing his way through troves of drunken people still lingering on the first floor of the house, even with things finally starting to die down. 

There was no sign of him outside, and Han had taken the front, nervous and wringing his hands as he had headed that way, tucking his phone away in his pocket, void of any new messages from Minho. Chan tried calling him, but the call was quickly sent to voicemail, which meant the other was still mad. Chan was fine with that if it was true, but he would feel better knowing where he went. He had drank more than he usually did, and there was already a steady line of people finding their way home. 

"Chan!" 

Han's shout is easily heard, and he follows the sound to the bottom of the stairs, where he stands awkwardly next to someone he's never seen before. His eyebrows knit in confusion as he turns to Han, questions brimming on the tip of his tongue. 

"Are you Chris?" the short man immediately asks, though the pull of his mouth is far from anything friendly. Chan steals a glance at Han, who looks even more worried than he did before he had disappeared into the crowd. 

"Yeah. Call me Chan," he offers, eyeing the man in distrust. "Who are - "

"Changbin," he interrupts curtly, eyes scanning the room behind him, before he glances up the stairs. "Minho's friend. He called me a half hour ago to pick him up, and then he never walked out." He looks back to Han. "Your friend here said you guys already checked the house?" 

"Upstairs is the only thing left," Chan replies, and before anything else can be said, Changbin is pushing his way past and shouting Minho's name loud enough that it bounces off the walls.

Chan and Han share a quick look before hurrying to follow.

When Changbin doesn't receive any answer he starts pushing his way into rooms, slamming his fist hard on locked doors. 

Han ducks into a room on their right as Chan checks the bathroom with a flick of the light, before going into the room beside it, Changbin busy down the hall. The door pushes open when he presses his palm against it, about to say Minho's name as he enters, squinting against the bright lights still flashing in from the window. 

Another step in, and he sees him, crumpled against the side of the bed, curled around his knees. 

"Minho?" he asks quietly, gut churning as he approaches. 

Something isn't right. 

Minho flinches at the sound of his name, and doesn't dare turn his head. Chan gets close enough to touch him, fingers ghosting over the curve of his shoulder, and he reacts like he's been burned, shoving himself backwards, spine slamming against the nightstand that sits in wait behind him, lamp rattling at the force. 

Chan quickly scans over him, panic rising in the back of his throat when he sees blood on the corner of his lip, and a bruise on the side of his neck. His hands are shaking from where they rest curled around his knees, and he won't look at Chan, tears smeared beneath his eyes. 

"Minho," he whispers, trying to get closer, to make sure he's okay. "What happened?" 

He shakes his head and sinks further into himself, and the shift reveals bruised wrists, Chan's breath catching in his throat. 

"Minho," Chan tries, inching closer. "Something happened." 

"I'm fine," Minho says, though his voice shakes, and his tone wavers. "Nothing happened." 

It's silent for a long moment, and then Changbin is in the doorway, and rushing his way into the room, Han at his heels. Chan catches Minho's eye for a moment, and then he watches as Minho glances at Han, standing a step behind Chan, mouth curved in growing shock as Changbin drops to the ground beside him. Minho watches Han for a long moment, and Chan's chest squeezes painfully as Minho turns his gaze to the carpet in front of him. 

"I'm fine," he repeats quietly, to Changbin, to all of them, to the room around them. To himself. "I'm fine." 

Chan tries to reach for him again.

Minho doesn't look up.

Mario Sunshine remake/Sequel where its a canonically few years on from the last sunshine game and Bowser Jr is a bit older and a bit bigger and hears that the Mario and Princess are going back to the island on holiday and goes huh, well, I'm bigger. I think I'm gonna get that Mario.

And thus plans to kidnap Princess Peach again to try again because he's gotten bigger he's got a bigger ego big man syndrome but he's not dumb he recruits his siblings too because hey potentially fighting / messing with Mario AND warm holiday fun times. I feel like Wendy would love it like yes relaxation Sun and fun. So they go to cause mayhem, Bowser probably knows they're up to something since they all just leave but eh, they'll holler if they need help they're getting older he trusts they'll be okay, maybe sends Kamek to spy/for updates he doesn't wanna be a helicopter parent but also wants to see how well they do and be ready to leap in and help if necessary. It'll mean that each area likely has a Koopalings boss or two so fun spicing it up from last time with obviously some old bosses thrown in.

They don't realise though that Luigi got sent in advance as bait pretending to be Peach arriving early blacked out plane windows guards with umbrellas to hide the 'princess' from view ect, just in case of a repeat of last time/bowsers shows up so at least if they do cause problems the Princess can be kept out of the way as Mario arrives to fix things. So the Koopalings show up and go to the hotel demanding for the Princess' room, don't question the fact they're given her room number no problem and go and grab 'her' hastily tied up gagged and in a sack or something. Poor Luigi was probably just out/was going in the shower getting dressed/not yet undressed (no nakey weegie here) and the steam obscured the Koopas vision and so he got snagged.

And thus game begins Mario has to go save his brother who was kidnapped, recollecting suns in the process ect like a good person since the Koopalings probably screwed with them too and paint absolutely everywhere with probably color coordination/pattern coordination to each Koopa so you can guess who's in which level like pink hearts for Wendy, crazy multicolor swirls for i believe Larry or iggy whichever the hyperactive one is ect. At some point in the game there's a cutscene of the Koopalings all enjoying the steamy warm flying jacuzzi, some nursing wounds after a beat up from Mario and probably Wendy maybe Roy Roy strikes me as empathetic is like hey it kinda feels unfair to have Peach tied up in a sack in a floating cage while we enjoy the hot water, maybe we should let her out for a bit? And after some debating Jr mentioning that well she didn't want to join him and dad last time they agree cause like they all kinda like momma Peach even if they know she's not really their mom they're more here for fun than malice so it feels right to let her enjoy the warm water and drinks with them. Ludwig waves his wand and the cage floats down and they open it taking off the sack and, "LUIGI???" They're all fucking stunned cause???? The green one??? What?? Where's Peach?? How?? When?? Ludwig did you mess up your magic and swap them??? Promptly starting a major uproar argument between all the siblings over who cocked this up big time. Luigi is just eehhhehe. He's very awkward. At one point one of them is like well I mean sometimes hes there when beating dad this might stall Mario for a bit, plus we can always still get Peach later and that'll be two captives over Mario. This settles them as they murmur agreements and Ludwig magics more drinks which definitely helps ease over the mood, they're probably drinking pg safe coconuts with straws no tropical island drinks here if you get my drift they're probably not old enough to drink alcohol XD. One of them puts Luigi on the floating duck in the middle of the water so he can't escape and puts a drink in his tied hands adjusting the knots so he has enough mobility to lift it to drink from the straw.

Meanwhile Bowser? Absolutely cackling losing his shit laughing at his kids rookie mistake of not questioning the lack of resistance. He loves his kids but he is gonna laugh at the cock up. But he is proud they're doing well despite that but he's on the throne wheezing and has dented his arm rest from banging his fist down in laughing hysteria.

Another cutscene later in the game, Luigi still on the duck drinking coconut drink as Ludwig complains to him about something maybe his siblings not appreciating music as Luigi nods his head understandingly. Every so often there's a cutscene with a Koopaling just kinda talking to Luigi while he floats on his duck it's for character building and just funny imagining him just stuck duck floating around as the kids talk to him. Maybe at one point he's actually in the water floating on his back while Junior floats beside him also on his back like "I just worry ill never surpass my dad you know? Like, I'll always just be Junior. A smaller Bowser. A shadow of my father's glory." and Luigi balancing a coconut drink on his stomach is like "Hmm. I knowa what you mean." just lmao bonding floating about together, "Illa say you're definitely a lotta more scary then you were, youra growing into your own person with your owna style. Working witha your siblings very clever." and Junior scoffs and is like "It's nothing my dad's never done we've always helped him." and Luigi counters, "But, youra helping eacha other, Morton has beena here twice healed up went backa out there, Ludwig hasa boosted Wendy and Lemmy witha magic already fora rematches. Thata will be keepinga Mario on his toes. Workinga with other bosses too, tricky stuff, you have good ideas." just lmao being nice he knows what it's like to be in a shadow and he is kinda terrified and impressed by juniors game plan with the Koopalings being able to swap back recharge swap back in. Plus he doesn't know if the Koopas temper will shift so genuine compliments and peace keeping so he's not drowned.

This game definitely is probably longer and harder with the kids getting stronger and coming back for more but eventually they'll reach their limit unable to go back to fighting. In cutscenes they'll be seen sat out the water or in the water with bandages looking too tired to go back and fight. The end fight is likely with Junior at the jacuzzi his siblings tho tired lend some help making it very difficult but their attacks are infrequent and slow. Maybe Bowser shows up probably right at the end after beating junior but I don't think he'd join the end fight/be a final surprise boss, the kids did a good fight but they've lost and he doesn't think they'd want him jumping in stealing their fight so he shows up as the escape assist and they all escape to dad cause ya know a good future king knows when to retreat. And like you get Luigi back the kids noticeably waving bye to him Junior saying "I'll see you next time Luigi! And I'll get you Mario!!!" as Luigi shyly laughs cause oh no what has he started. Ends happy Peach arrives they all enjoy their holiday, though Luigi absolutely passes out at his hotel room on his bed as he's thoroughly holidayed out. Mario and Peach walk the beach together into the sunset chatting and laughing.

Cut to bowsers Castle of kamek helping heal the kids up while Bowser absolutely lovingly laughs at and bullies his kids for the hotel mix up and junior is very embarrassed before Bowser scoops him into a playful noogie saying "I couldn't be more proud of you!" and Junior just??? "but we failed to get peach??" and Bowser laughs and is like "you think /I/ succeeded the first time I tried?? It went horribly wrong and blew up in my face! You actually kidnapped someone, Mario was terrified and you all planned to raise the stakes if given the chance adapting to the situation. You did really brilliantly." just tells his kids how good of a job they did but also laughs and is like "oh the old wrong hotel room trick" wiping his eye from crying laughing. Let him lovingly rib on his kids XD bullying is a love language.

Of course, she would become Ranamon, Anon✨, and no, I don’t think Ranamon needs a “purified” design at all.

I want Chiaki to deal with her water spirit the way it is, with its ebbs and flows. I read Ranamon is a Digimon that’s connected with emotions, so this does make her even more interesting as a Digimon to control. She can be a Human Spirit that’s not always that easy to master, because it’s at the mercy of your own feelings. It’s enough for Chiaki to be conquered by a pinch of anger to start feeling the STRUGGLE; for her to be hit by unpleasant memories to lose her composure, -because she gives the vibes of a girl who’s always trying being perfect, collected, repressing her feelings maybe due to some family situation I would love coming up with-.

I mean…Wuthering kids, which can also mean I can see Junpei and Izumi getting their own challenges with their spirits. Imagine Junpei? He is afraid of lightnings and the show makes it clear that when he’s Blitzmon, he can’t feel fear. Ok, so what if he snaps out of that calm state of mind in the middle of a fight and suddenly begins feeling the sizzling energy inside him?

Izumi’s arc would be interesting to me if it was about control too, but that arc has been given to Chiaki. I kinda want Izumi to grow self-hatred after a while, because she keeps on losing her fights and being rescued, eventually feeling the need to isolate herself from her new friends, just like she does at school. I already wrote something similar in a draft. Hmm, it was about her feeling the worst kind of wind on her skin as if it was made of knives🤣. Very……Funny, yah🤣, a bit like MTTCI.

Unfortunatelyyyyy Baskin Robbins hasn’t gotten back to me and I’m a lot less confident that I’ll be hired 😭 But Rest Assured that my partner and my family have been Begging me to pursue this as a career/hobby anyways 😹 I think I’d really like it!!
