I really admire B’s faith in me because the man questions literally nothing I do to our house. And any time I try to get his input on home design related things he’s like “I know I’ll like anything you come up with and also do you remember the apartment I lived in for a decade until you moved in with me?” And that’s fair.

So, this morning, when he walked in on me painting the bedroom wall black, he just offered to help.

When I asked if he wanted to come to Home Depot with me to pick up a bunch of wood?

He sure did.

Did he ask why?

No he did not.

Did he express concerns about the compressor and nail gun I borrowed from our friend down the block?

He sure didn’t.

The man just vibes and offers to help sand or paint or hold things until a project is finished and then tells me he loves it and he had no doubts through the (admittedly sometimes concerning!) process. Amazing.

Anyway, I’m building a slat wall/headboard for our bed and my husband is great.

100 days of productivity !! - Day #013

Saturday, Nov 23rd, 2024 : Hello everyone! I was actually surprisingly productive, just not in schoolwork. I feel like a break is the right time to get myself back on track mentally. It's like a reset week instead of a reset day.

I did a whole lot of cleaning. I cleaned every surface in my main room, decluttered my room, and did all of my laundry (sheets, blankets, towels, clothes, carpets, pillows; literally everything). I got an everything shower and I felt really nice.

My goals for tomorrow are to finish decluttering, and clean my bathroom a bit. Also to get all of my dishes cleaned. I also need to put my clothes away.

I feel very at peace without my phone. Like I can set boundaries easier and be more present. I like this feeling. I just miss taking pictures.

There's so many things I want to do, but some of them are for the wrong reasons. I'm gathering hobbies and things I want to start pursuing because I feel like I need to do more. But do I? I would like to have something tangible to focus on, but do I need to overwhelm myself with a ton of hobbies to keep me busy? Why can't I find something that just feels good and enjoyable to do?

I'm having a tough time.

my boyfriend and I will be moving out of our apartment in about a year. since I know that we both struggle feeling time I've started going through everything and trying to declutter.
