New Chapter of In Much Wisdom up, plus excerpt:
Dream asked me to go to Hell for him and get Nada of the First People out.
At that Adrian almost fell over in shock.
Who put the clamp to his balls to make him change that?
Death snorted.
Hob Gadling.
Adrian's nose twitched.
Are you angry Hob got her out of that place or....?
Death gave her a very offended look.
I couldn't care less about what Dream and Hob do at this point. It's not really fair to Hob but I'm really not interested in making him get caught between my brother and I. I really, truly don't want that. But......no. It's because I realize, now, that I spent ten thousand years leaving an innocent woman to suffer in Hell because I was idiotic enough to trust my brother's ability to admit he made a catastrophic mistake. Nada's suffering is every bit as much my fault as Dream's.
Adrian shook her head.
You've told me more than once that you yelled at Dream to fix that mistake. He was the one who did it.
Death shook her head. I could have-
Adrian held up her hand. Your brother sent the woman to Hell. You could have solved it, yeah. And it would have brought you to about the same place you are now a hundred or a thousand or ten thousand years ago or whatever. There is no context in which everything you've told me of Dream of the Endless would lead him to forgive you for getting Nada out of Hell. He would have been just as much a whiny pissbaby about that as he was about you freeing him, if not much moreso. He had no regrets about that for ten thousand years and this was the thing you two argued about the most. No, the moral issue here is 100% on his side.
Death folded her arms in front of her chest. I still left her there.
Adrian nodded. I mean.....yeah. I'm not saying that there's nothing wrong with that picture, I'm simply saying that the moral culpability is with the person who did it and saw nothing wrong with it. You tried to change it. And you really don't need to blame yourself for loving your brother.
This chapter introduces the last of the 'other character tags to be added'.

Growing Up in the Justice League HC
Purely self indulgence cause I've been on this and idk why so bear with me here
I can just easily romanticize growing up in the Justice League too easily and it would be a problem
Tumblr media
you're brought in at as a baby to be trained by Diana
Apollo brings you to her and tells her that you are an ancient being that regenerates as a new person when you die and this is the form that you have taken. As you get older, you will remember the skills and memories of your past lives but you will have to be raised with someone who can handle you
Diana just loves babies so she had no problem with that
I'd say the league has been established for some time during this point and everyone knows each other's identities in the core group
You grew up in Paris and New York being raised as a mama's child
Bruce is the closest you get to a dad and he does his best
SPOILS YOU ROTTEN
all the Barbies and Legos and whatever toys you'd want as a child
They know that you've been trained as an assassin, wizard, queen, knight, sorceress, scientist, all of these other things that can be traumatic so they just want you to have a great, decent childhood
when you start remember things they begin training you to be a hero
It's like PE and recess all in one since they're really just trying to figure out what you can do
Clark treats you like a fragile piece of glass up until you're a teen cause teenagers confuse him and he just cannot not see you as an innocent beep boppin child sometimes
Barry keeps up with the culture and knows all the songs from your favorite childhood movies and tv shows that you grew up watching on the massive computer in the watch tower when you were up there
will dance to any Barbie song since he knows them all by heart
Hal makes fun of you two but secretly enjoys the movies and is very emotionally invested in Princess and the Pauper and Diamond Castle
Diana and Bruce make sure that you have a great education and training
They are the mature parents of the group and want to make sure you're a functioning member of society
you've got a bag full of grandparents in the Kents, Allans, Princes, Alfred and they all love you to death
Alfred teaches you to make the best tea and gardening, Ma Kent teaches you to quilt and make bread, Pa Kent teaches you how to drive a tractor and farm, Hippolyta teaches you about the Greek gods and ancient cultures and how to ride horses, the Allans would have loads of board games to play and love having you over
Once Young Justice or Teen Titans comes around you don't join since you're officially a Justice League member and get along better with the adults since you were raised by them
That doesn't mean that you don't like or hang out with the kids, it's just that you have better inside jokes with Hal and Barry
When Superboy comes around and the League disappears, you were the only one not taken by the portal since you were helping out some civilians
You knew that Clark wasn't dead and you knew the League was somewhere
What kept you afloat was humor and Kon attached to that since he just needed someone that wasn't insane in his life
you probably won't develop romantic feelings for each other but it's more of a camaraderie since you were both raised in a really unorthodox way
when the league finally comes back, you say it's the happiest day of your life and rant to them that you were the only one who knew they weren't gone but no one understood it
Hal and Barry are known for having a thing for chicken tenders and make sure to instill an addiction in you for chicken tenders
Arthur (Aquaman) really really really likes them too but he doesn't realize it until he comes to the League
Clark would be the one to take you out for ice cream randomly or if you're having a bad day
the mother hen therapist type
You're America's favorite Justice Leaguer and often go viral for in uniform interactions with the League
Dancing with Flash at a Presidential ceremony because the music is too beep boopin good and you can't help but bop around a little bit
Media also loves you as a civilian and it's been suspected that you are the love child between Diana and Bruce since I mean- that would make the most sense
it's a running joke in the league

Always Been You (Dick Grayson x Reader) - Chapter 6
Tumblr media
Always Been You (Dick Grayson x Reader) Reader Insert: she/her pronouns Word Count: 2946 Warnings: death, violence, fighting, bloody wounds, angst, infuriatingly oblivious love interest, slowburn Spoilers: Young Justice Seasons 1-3 plot partially, but it ended in 2022 so catch up.
Y/N Prince - miracle daughter of Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor - and Dick Grayson - first adoptive son of the Batman himself - have been best friends since day one. They went to school together, trained together, kept each other's alter ego secret from everyone else, and they founded the Young Justice alongside their friends together.
But as time progressed, Y/N and Dick grew up and Y/N found herself wanting more than friendship with Dick. But he never seemed to indicate that he reciprocated her feelings. And when Wally died and Dick abandoned the team, Y/N realised he never would. So she heads to the one place she knows will help her become a stronger warrior so that one day she can take her mother's place: Themyscira.
Two years after his leave, Dick reaches out to his old friends to help him with a mission. But when he finds out Y/N left too, he chases after her in the hopes to bring her back.
However, when the two finally reunite, it isn't as warm as he hopes. Not to mention Themyscira becomes under siege as they go to war against Echidna, the Mother of Monsters in Greek Mythology, and her army of monstrous children.
Will Dick and Y/N be able to put their past behind them and save the Amazonians' homeland? Or will they fall, unable to tell one another their true feelings?
~~~
'...Starting tomorrow, we prepare for Echidna's war,' Queen Hippolyta announced to those in the War Chamber.
After Echidna's kraken attack, the Queen had called for an emergency meeting in the War Chamber to discuss matters. Generals and their lieutenants discussed the right protocols and procedures they would instruct their soldiers to carry out over the coming days. It was well past midnight now, but no one in the chamber looked as if sleep would come easily when they returned to their own chambers.
'For now, head back to bed. Hera knows we are going to need all of our energy to face what lies ahead.' Everyone simply bowed their heads in understanding and left the chamber. Except for Y/N.
She was staring intensely at the small sculptured map of the entire island - as if trying to commit every stair, every mountain, every grain of sand to memory - when a hand on her shoulder pulled her from her trance.
'You too, my dear,' Queen Hippolyta said gently. 'You have endured much tonight. Go. Rest.'
'What? No.' Y/N shook off her grandmother's hand and stood up tall, but she could not help rubbing her tired eyes as she strained to keep them open. 'We should be preparing now, Grandmother. Echidna will certainly not be resting before she tries to destroy all of Themyscira. I will not let her.'
'I know, dear child.' Queen Hippolyta gently cupped Y/N's face and turned her attention away from the map. 'But what good are soldiers if they do not rest? We have three days - there will be plenty of time for sleepless nights then. For now, I am telling you to rest.'
Y/N had to admit she was exhausted. She had been training all these months, but hadn't been in a real fight with real danger since she'd left the team. Her body was already starting to ache, and so she conceded. 'Is that an order from her Royal Highness?'
'It is an order from your grandmother,' the queen replied with a soft smile. She brought Y/N's forehead to her lips briefly before she finally let go. 'Rest. Our work begins tomorrow.'
Y/N nodded then headed for the War Chamber doors. Now that she'd acknowledged it, her exhaustion was now weighing on her eyes more heavily, and the thought of falling into her crisp linen bed sounded heavenly.
As soon as she opened the door to leave, however, she was met with, 'So what did you talk about?'
Dick Grayson didn't look an ounce tired as he pushed off from his place on the wall and sauntered up to her. Damn, had he waited there for three hours? It didn't matter. All that mattered was getting to her bed and he certainly wasn't going to stop her now.
'Nothing you need to worry yourself about,' Y/N deflected as she made her way down the corridor. She was hoping her stern tone would hint that she was in no mood to talk, but Dick Grayson was not one to read such obvious signs.
'What's that supposed to mean?' he asked, following swiftly after her. 'You woke up every general and their lieutenant to discuss what then? A new uniform?'
'If you want to make jokes about my people's future existence, then we definitely don't have anything to talk about,' Y/N bit back, increasing her pace as she turned around a corner.
'Then what did you guys talk about in there?' Dick insisted. Y/N had to give it to him, he was persistent. 'Look, I want to help. But how can I if you won't talk to me?'
'Just because you caught me tonight, does not mean I am obliged to answer your every question.'
'Catching you? I saved your life! Speaking of which, I think a "thank you" is at least the minimum you can say to me right now. Which, by the way, you're welcome for. But if you won't say it, then tell me why I can't possibly help you with this.'
'Because this doesn't concern you,' Y/N replied, reaching the spiral staircase that led up to floor of her chambers. She started her ascent as she continued. 'This isn't your war to fight. You weren't even meant to be here.'
'So what do I do then?' Dick asked, his tone offended as he still followed her up the stairs. 'Just jump on a sailing ship tomorrow and head back to Blüdhaven like none of this ever happened?'
'Oh, so that's where you've settled down. How noble of you.'
'I'm being serious, Y/N.' Dick grabbed Y/N's wrist with a grip tight enough to halt her charge, but loose enough to let her know she could escape any time. She had just reached the next floor when he did, leaving him two steps below her eyesight.
'So am I,' she hissed back, but her anger was superficial. Her bed was just down the corridor and Richard bloody Grayson was doing everything in his power to stop her from reaching it.
She tugged her wrist out of his grip and looked down at him with a glare so severe she hoped he would catch fire. 'Go home. To your life of freedom and abandonment, to the girl who undoubtedly is waiting for you in your disgusting apartment, to the team, I don't care! Just go.'
The pair stood looking at each for the longest time. The window beside the staircase entrance allowed the light of the full moon to shine onto Dick's flawless, sharp face. The pale light cast shadows under his eyes, hollowed his cheekbones. And for the first time since coming to the island, the cocky glint in his eyes wasn't there.
It was the most serious Y/N had ever seen him, even when they were both on the same team together doing the most craziest and dangerous missions that either of them could've died on.
He was telling her the truth, and that one fact made her soften her glare.
'Why do you hate me so much?' he asked, his voice cracking slightly as if he were on the verge of tears.
This took Y/N aback.
Hate. She'd never used the word in association with Dick. Even when he left, even when he never came back, even when he never spared her another thought or word. She wanted to slap him, tell him he was stupid because how could she ever hate him after she'd spent so much time feeling the very opposite for him?
Y/N didn't hate Dick Grayson, but she couldn't forgive him for what he'd done either.
'You left me,' she finally said, voice low so as not to release all her emotions at once. 'You left all of us behind as if we were nothing. As if we weren't family. You left when we - when I needed you the most. What? Did you expect me to just be waiting for you when you decided to come back? Were you ever going to come back, Dick? Well?'
He had no reply, only a face expressing a full range of emotions. Shock, sadness, guilt, shame.
The last one gave Y/N her answer.
It wasn't until Dick reached for her cheek that Y/N realised she was crying. She was too shocked to bat away his hand as he wiped her cheek gently, smoothing away her tears. Despite the cold night, his hand was warm, and in her moment of weakness, Y/N allowed her eyes to close for just a moment and lean into his touch.
Once or twice she'd dreamed of a moment like this, where Dick would hold her as if she were the most precious thing in the world. But that's all it was, a dream.
Remembering herself, Y/N pulled away from Dick's hand and hastily wiped her tears. His hand hung in the air for a moment longer before letting it fall to his side in defeat.
'I should go rest,' Y/N said after an eternity of silence. 'We start preparations and training at dawn. I will make sure someone sets you on your way early tomorrow. It will be as if you never had come to Themyscira.'
'But I will remember,' Dick said gently. 'I will know what is happening.'
Y/N nodded in agreement. 'But it is not your war to fight.'
Dick stared at her, the blues in his eyes swirling like tumultuous waves as if battling with himself. Eventually he nodded and took a step down.
'We both leave at dawn, then?' he asked.
'So it would seem,' Y/N answered.
'And I will never see you again?'
Y/N hadn't contemplated this, but now that it was out there, there indeed was a high chance that they would never see each other again. Not only him, but the rest of the team, her mother.
Y/N swallowed the lump in her throat and said, 'It is a sacrifice every warrior offers up before every battle.'
It wasn't a straight answer, but it was enough for Dick it seemed as he said, 'Then I wish you the best of luck, Princess.'
Y/N didn't like how distant he sounded when he used her title. It wasn't him, it wasn't her. All of it was wrong, but had it not been herself that insisted he call her by such? To put distance between them? To communicate her anger with him, and make it clear that she wanted nothing to do with him ever again?
She'd dug her own grave, and so now she must lay in it.
'You too, Nightwing,' she managed to get out, and then Dick was descending, leaving Y/N alone with her jumbled thoughts and emotions on the stairs. She'd been exhausted before, but now she was wide awake.
Y/n stayed at the top of the stairs well after Dick's footsteps stopped echoing, unable to move over the threshold of the past into the future. She'd just unofficially said goodbye to her best friend and the love of her life. So much was left unsaid - maybe for the best, or possibly it would be her biggest regrets if she didn't make it through this war.
Y/N finally managed to pull herself away from the staircase at that thought. I must rest now, she told herself as she finally made it to her chambers. Tomorrow, I have a war to try and win.
~~~
T minus three days until Echidna's War
Y/N doesn't remember when she fell asleep, but she does remember taking a long time to do so after her conversation with Dick. All that had been said - all that hadn't been said - had left her tossing and turning for a long time after she slipped into her linen bed.
However, she was very much awake the moment she felt warm sun rays bathe her skin.
Her eyes flew open as realisation shocked her into action. I'm late! Y/N looked out the window briefly and saw the sun high in the sky; it was well and truly past dawn.
Faster than she'd ever done before, Y/N dressed in her warrior uniform, grabbed her sword that she always had on hand in case of an emergency, and sprinted through the palace and down to the training grounds.
The other women were never going to let her live this down if they were to survive Echidna's war, but they were not going to survive by sleeping in. It only appeared to be early morning, but the warriors would've been working for a solid few hours by now. Precious hours that Y/N had wasted sleeping in, instead of training or making blockades or literally doing anything more helpful.
By the time she reached the training grounds, she was the most out of breath she'd ever been in her life. Y/N quickly spotted Calliope supervising a group of young warriors as they practised using monster nets against some wooden dummies.
'Well look who finally decided to wake from their beauty sleep,' Calliope said with a smirk as Y/N approached her.
'I slept pretty bad last night,' Y/N explained. 'And no one came to wake me up. Where is the group I'm meant to be taking?'
Still smirking, Calliope pointed to a large crowd seemingly gathered around one person. Whoever it was, they had to be interesting, as women and young girls were enamoured with whoever was talking.
'Who is that?' Y/N asked, unable to see the instructor through the thick crowd.
'The reason you slept bad last night,' Calliope answered smoothly, and Y/N felt her cheeks heat up in embarrassment and shock.
Not wanting to be teased any further, Y/N staunched over to the crowd and forced the women to part so she could reach the front of the crowd. And there in the centre on the ground, pointing at seemingly random points on a map of Themyscira, was Dick Grayson.
'...Now we don't know specifically what Echidna is going to throw at us,' Dick said to the group, 'but my guess is she is going to send big and small creatures alike. With the small creatures, I suggest setting up traps here, here, and here where the passages are narrow and there is only one way out. We'll lure them into the passageway and then take them out from above.'
'What if they can fly?' one soldier asked.
'Then we lure them to places like the caverns on the east side of the island. Or we make nets to secure the creature's exits out over the passages that have no roofs. Let's go scout those areas today and start setting up what we need weapons and equipment wise there. Any questions?'
'I do,' Y/N found herself saying, finally drawing everyone's - including Dick's - attention to her arrival. 'What do you think you're doing?'
Dick stood up and made to step towards her. 'Y/N, I-'
'Give us a minute,' Y/N directed at the crowd, and they all quickly dispersed at her stern tone. When everyone had either started their own conversations or started sparring to kill the time, Y/N finally addressed Dick.
'What in the name of Hera do you think you're doing ordering my soldiers around?' she seethed, though she was more angry at herself still than him. 'I thought I told you to go home. You're meant to be on a ship sailing back to Blüdhaven by now.'
'I was,' Dick agreed, and that seriousness from last night returned to his stupidly beautiful face once more. It made him look older, wiser. He still looked good, much to Y/N's chagrin. 'But what you said last night got me thinking that... that maybe I need to stay.'
'What?' Y/N couldn't believe what she was hearing. Was he mad? 'Dick, this isn't some silly little mission to complete. We are preparing for war.'
'I know that,' he insisted. 'But... all I've done since Wally's death is run away. It's true; I left the team, I abandoned you - all because I was too scared to try and be brave. Brave... like you.'
Y/N was too shocked to respond, so Dick continued.
'You may hate me, Y/N,' he said, and the look in his eyes surprisingly pained her, 'but I want to stay, I want to help.'
'If you're doing this to make yourself feel better, then you can just leave now-'
'I'm not, Y/N,' Dick interrupted her, now looking into her eyes with such sincerity she knew he was telling the truth. 'I'm doing this because it is the right thing to do. I also just can't accept that I will never see you again. You're too important to me, to the world, to leave behind.'
Y/N's breath hitched as Dick took a step closer to her, never once breaking eye contact. 'I won't abandon you. Never again.'
Those words alone almost broke her facade of cool and uncaring. He meant it. He truly meant it. If he had not just said the words, she would've seen it in his eyes for it was there - the same sentiment.
He would not leave her. Regardless of Themyscira's fate, he would not leave her.
Her Dick Grayson was back.
She regathered her composure by taking a small step away from him. He might be back, but Dick would have to prove himself still if he wanted her back in any capacity.
'Just because I was late, that doesn't mean you take over my training,' she muttered grumpily.
Dick chuckled. 'I didn't steal them. I spoke with Queen Hippolyta herself. She thought it would be a wonderful idea if I stayed to help.'
Y/N sighed in defeat. 'Of course she did,' she muttered. She made a mental note to have a word with her grandmother later about this.
For now, she - and now Dick, it seemed - had a training to conduct.
She spun around to the slightly dispersed crowd of warriors and called out, 'All right. Everyone, grab what you need for the scout today. Half of you will go with Nightwing here to the East Caverns and map out our traps there. The rest of you will come with me to the Northern Passages between the mountains. We leave in ten minutes.'
'Yes, Princess!'
'Well, then, Nightwing,' Y/N said as the group dispersed again to gather their equipment, 'are you ready to go win a war?'
Dick flashed her his signature smile, though his eyes had a renewed sparkle and Y/N wondered if it possibly was because of her.
'Always, Princess.'
'Don't call me that.'
'Oh, but I insist, Princess.'
'One more remark and I'll order the warriors to set you up as bait for the monsters.'
'Whatever you say... Princess.'

G.I.W. in Themyscira
The Amazons are Liminal.
+
Danny had been trying to escape the GIW already for a very long time, and he had enough! They legit ignored other ghosts for him!
He had no idea how long he had been flying, as he was taken down as he landed on the island. And was greeted with confused women's until they saw the army of people pointing guns at the child.
At first, the GIW talked about how he is an evil villain and how similar and sweet he is.
Till One of the agents pointed out that the women too activated the sensory system like Phantom did.
And their leader asked the question.
Hippolyta:" We are reborn after we had a brutal death."
G.I.W.:" So you are ecto scum! Be ready to be painfully experimented with! In the name of US law.
For Hippolyta, this was the last straw! She had her Amazon arrest them, and the agents truly did fight back, and the weapons did hurt them very painfully.
As it melted their skin, they contracted.
But after a short time, they were all defeated and captured.
They would now wait for Diana to complain, and Hippolyta would spend much time scolding her for it. What was she doing in the men's world if that wasn't fixed?!!
But they were confused by Phantom, as it seemed like he was created similarly to them. By a very painful death and then brought back to life.
Once they touched him, they felt his death and all the Traumas and similar, to the point that only a few could move him.
Hippolyta couldn't leave the child who had been born similar to them alone; that was how Diana was told to look after him while in the men's world.

Hi, I would like to ask you to write something for the new fandofandom.
Could you please write:Wonder Woman daughter reader x Platonic super sons (Damian Wayne, Jon Kent).
The little trinity first met on watchtower when their parents needed to hold an unplanned emergency meeting of the Justice League and there was no one to leave the children with.
And I would not say that their meeting went smoothly.Mainly because Damian is Damian and the reader is a stubborn, proud Amazon.
John literally had to get between them so that their verbal altercation would not escalate into a fight.
But over time, they still became best friends, even though the bickering between Damian and the reader did not stop.
They tried to spend every free weekend together with an overnight stay either at the Kent farm, at the Wayne estate, or at the Temeskira embassy.
They care about each other very much.For example, John talks about how he is bullied by a school bully and at the same moment Damian offered to dig up dirt on the bully and destroy his life, and the reader immediately after that offered to call the bully to a gladiatorial fight to the death according to the laws of honor.
In short, something cute about children becoming best friends.
Tiny Trinity?
Tiny Trinity!
Hope you enjoy!
Wonder Buddy and the Super Son's
SFW, Platonic, Amazonian reader
WONDER FAMILY
Buddy is Wonder Woman’s daughter.
Created the same way as her mother and a near spitting image, minus a few features.
She had stayed in Themyscira for the first few years training alongside her grandmother and auntie’s while her mother was out in Man’s world.
Buddy putting her head on her grandmother’s lap: “Grandmother? Why is mama out in Man’s World? Isn’t it a cruel place?” Queen Hippolyta gently stroking her granddaughter hair: “She has a job in Man’s World. A very important job to try and save this world.” Buddy huffs a bit: “I wanna be with Mama.” The Queen smiles and tucking in a strand of hair behind the toddler’s ear. Queen Hippolyta: “Soon my dear, soon.”
Soon came quicker than the Queen thought as she saw the features of her daughter and granddaughter fade into the sky.
It was… an adjustment, but Buddy was determined to blend in like her mother.
To become a hero, just like her mother.
Her first time up in the Watch Tower, Diana had been called for an emergency meeting.
She didn’t want to leave Buddy alone in the apartment.
Last time she had done that, Buddy figured the magical world of the freezer, her ice cream stash, and somehow ended up tied up in the Christmas lights on the tree.
That was not a good day for Diana, Buddy, or the squirrel living in the tree.
Diana walked her into one of the lounges to see two boys in there.
Diana rushing into the lounge with Buddy. She notices Jon and Damien in the room. Jon waving happily: “Hi Ms. Diana!” Damian: “It’s Wonder Woman up here Superboy.” Jon brushes the comment off before noticing the smaller version of Diana next to her. Diana: “I’m sorry for the rush introductions, but this is Buddy, my daughter.” Damian and Jon’s eyes went wide: “Daughter?!” Diana doesn’t answer because she had already run out of the room leaving the three in the lounge alone. Buddy smiles at the two and holds out her hand. Buddy: “Greetings, I am Buddy, daughter of Diana and a fellow Amazonian.” Jon is already right by her side shaking her hand. Jon: “Hi! I’m Jon, Jon Kent! Son of Superman, also known as Superboy—” Damian: “Also known as the worst person to conceal their secret identity.” Buddy gives Damian a look before turning back to Jon. Jon: “That’s Robin, Batman’s son, also known as Damian Wayne.” Damian turns quickly to Jon. Damian: “Jon! What did we talk about?!” Jon: “Its fine—” Damian now standing up next to him: “Its not fine! We don’t even know this… this…” Buddy crossing her arms: “This what Damian? This what?” Damian and Buddy start glaring at each other. Jon slightly shrinking back: “Oh boy…”
Wayne stubbornness and Amazonian pride clashing.
Poor Jon is left to play peace maker.
Yet when Buddy leaves the two to go home with Diana, she already made a secret blood oath to protect her new friends.
She practically begs Diana to meet with the boys again.
Something that nearly earned her a one-way trip to the hospital, but she eventually did ask Clark for a ‘play date’.
Clark opening the door to see Diana and… a mini-Diana? Clark: “Diana and…” Buddy smiles and shakes his hand: “I am Buddy. You must be Clark Kent, father of Jon Kent?” Clark laughs a bit before Lois and Jon show up. Buddy also shakes hands with Lois before Jon grabs her hand, pulling her inside the house. Jon: “I can’t wait to show you the newest video game I got last Christmas!” Buddy just smiles letting the boy ramble about this ‘video game’. In Gotham… Damian looks up from the Batcomputer. He picks up his overnight bag and starts heading to the Zeta tube. Tim: “Umm… where are you going?” Damian: “You’re hallucinating again Drake, go back to bed.”
A few minutes later Damian arrived at the front door, he entered the house after giving a quick hello and finds Jon showing Buddy how to play a video game.
One thing leads to another, and Damian and Jon are now playing a racing game with Buddy cheering them on.
They make plans to do a sleepover at the Manor so Damain could ‘beat them in more games.’
Clark and Lois are glad that Jon is making more friends.
Dick, Jason, Tim, Duke, Cass and Steph do a double take when Damian walks down the hallway in his batman pj’s followed by Jon in his… other Batman pj’s and a new girl with a Martian Manhunter pj’s. Tim: “Is he…” Stephanie: “Having a sleepover?” Damian turns around to look at all his siblings. Jon waves at them smiling. Buddy gives them a sleepy smile. Jason: “Why does the kid look like a mini-Diana?” Damian: “Tt. Buddy’s her daughter Todd.” Bat family: “Daughter?!” Damian takes one hand while Jon takes the other. Damian: “Now if you’d excuse us, Buddy needs to take a power nap before we go over our future patrol routes.” Jon waves them good-bye before Damian shuts his door in his family’s face. Everyone is trying to process what just happened.
Soon the three of them are having sleepovers at each other’s places nearly every day.
The three of them become protective over each other.
Buddy and Jon protect Damian on patrol and some of the other younger superheroes when they judge his behavior… unless he did cross a line.
Buddy standing in front of Jon and Damian: “I’m sure that Robin didn’t mean any of—” Damian: “No, I meant it all. In fact, I have more—” Jon puts his hand over his mouth: “Stop it!” Buddy facepalms.
Buddy and Damian protect Jon when they get wind that someone started bullying him.
Damian and Buddy put aside their usual bickering for Jon and worked well.
Damian behind Tim: “Drake!” Tim jumps a bit before glaring at him: “Oh it’s you.” Damian takes a deep breath: “I need… your help.” Tim raises an eyebrow: “You need… my help? Why? What’s the catch?” Damian: “Some miscreant is bullying Jon at school. The name is on the post note. I need everything on them so I can make their remaining time on Earth torture.” Tim nods a bit and starts with the information search. Tim suddenly stops seeing Damian move to the Zeta tubes: “Wait, what do you mean by ‘remaining time on Earth’? You’re not going to…” Damian: “No. But right now I need to stop Buddy from finding them and challenging a duel to the death in Jon’s honor.”
Damian and Jon protect Buddy from the people who make fun of her for not knowing about the modern world and help her adjust to it.
Damian, Buddy and Jon are sitting on the couch watching a scary movie at night. Jon has part of his face in Buddy’s shoulder while staring at the screen. Damian refuses to be in Buddy’s embrace, but under the giant blanket is holding Buddy’s hand. Ever so often jumping and squeezing it. Buddy can’t stop from staring at the screen, one arm around Jon tightly while the other holding Damian’s hand. ???: “Hello—” Tiny trio: “AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Buddy holds the boys tightly to her chest while turning her back to the voice. The boys grip onto each other for dear life. Clark, Diana and Bruce turn on the lights seeing the kids hugging each other in fear. Bruce looking at the movie: “Who’s idea was it to watch scary movies this late?” Neither of the kids dared to respond, still holding on to each other for dear life. Clark quickly takes a picture of them and sends it to the old trinity’s group chat.
Thankfully it was too quick for Damian or Buddy to notice and for Jon still hiding his head in the group hug.

DC Cinematic Universe Pitch
For the last several months, I have been working through the various DC heroes and their villains, discussing movie ideas and coming up with possible plans for how a movie universe could incorporate all of their most important characters naturally. I now have a full plan, which I will be presenting day by day until we reach the finale, starting with:
PHASE ONE
WONDER WOMAN*
While pursuing a dangerous terrorist, Captain Steve Trevor and his team stumble upon a lost island, the home of the Amazons of ancient Greek myth.
Starring:
Princess Diana/Wonder Woman – Princess of the island of Themyscira
Captain Steve Trevor – Captain of a special forces unit tracking the Baroness
Baroness Paula von Gunther – A dangerous international terrorist
Queen Hippolyta – Queen of Themyscira and mother of Diana
Barbara Ann Minerva – A scientist and member of Steve Trevor’s team
Doctor Poison – A chemist developing a biological weapon for the Baroness
Donna Troy – Diana’s adopted little sister
Etta Candy – The communications officer of Steve Trevor’s team
Nubia – An Amazon and guardian of the Doors of Death
What do you think? Would you watch it? Who would you cast in the principal roles?
*Title is subject to change and open to suggestions.

I'm kind of fascinated by Ares/Mars as a character. Understandably he's not very well liked. Because he generally represents the undesirable parts of war. Bloodlust, fighting, terror, chaos.
But he's also a god of courage, and a god you want on your side when you go into a war. He also seems to respect women more than other Greek and Roman gods, generally. There's few direct references to him forcing himself on people that I've found. They exist, and many of the references to his lovers are vague so we can't be sure what the women thought of the situation so that should be kept in mind.
His daughters are often prominent in the myths, founding the Amazons and becoming various queens and notable warriors within that tribe. In fact, I'd wager his daughters often take a bigger space in our collective consciousness than his sons, Queen Hippolyta being among one of his most famous children. And he gives courage to his daughters in equal measure to his sons, giving one of his infant daughters the ability to suck milk from her dead mother and survive by force of will.
He's also surprisingly weak. He loses a boxing match against Hermes when they fought over a woman. He gets trapped in a jar for several months by giants. He isn't always on the winning side.
In the Orphic hymn 65 to Ares it says he is "pleased with war’s dreadful and tumultuous roar." but also, it asks him for peace. "Stay furious contests, and avenging strife, whose works with woe embitter human life;... for arms exchange the labours of the field; encourage peace, to gentle works inclined, and give abundance, with benignant mind."
Ares Mars is confusing. Like he's still an embodiment of some of the worst parts of war, but he gives power to the worthy regardless of gender, he's the one you go to to beg for peace, he's the one you go to for courage. Also, he's not indestructible. I think I get why the Romans smushed him together with a fertility god. You need land for agriculture. What's the only way to get more land in the ancient world? War. And Rome, above anything else, was into farming and war. Putting the two together isn't as illogical as you think.
I also always think off how Athena Minerva is almost universally loved even in the present day. But why? She's also a war god. She gets to sit in the tent seeing soldiers as chess pieces while Ares is on the field with them. Arguably she is just as responsible for carnage and woe as he is.
When death goes missing and the mortals are left to suffer through their wounds, never dying, it's Ares who notices. Not Athena. Not anyone else. He's also the one who does something about it and goes to save him.
Do I like Ares? No, not really. Like anyone else I don't particularly enjoy war. In fact, I wish it didn't exist. However, I do think that as a character he's way more complicated than he's often given credit for.
Also one of his sons is a literal dragon. Hell yeah.

I have to say, Hippolytus has become one of my favorite myths/Greek heroes, and not just cause we're both AroAces... mostly
Now the basic story is- Man just wants to live his best hunting life with the goddess Artemis without any relationships and then Aphrodite goddess of Love looks at that and goes "HOW DARETH NOT SHIPPETH" and eventually causes his death by his own father... which tumbles into Asclepius death and Apollo turning human... again
Well here's some things I'd like to say that should be talked about more, some headcannos some retelling some filling in blanks
Hippolytus is a PRINCE OF ATHENS. Heck he's Theseus' son. THE Theseus. He probably still had expectations and a job to do as a prince. It wouldn't surprise me if suitors tried to get him married. Like, men from across Greece would LOVE to have their daughter we'd to this guy, the prince of Athens! Think of the power and stability. Think of the stories where Hippolytus just runs into the woods because he hate she responsibilities and doesn't want to get married. And his dad probably forcing him to choose! WHERES THAT.
Let's remember the maternal side of his family. Aka the badass warrior Hippolyta, THE QUEEN OF THE AMAZONS AND DAUGTER OF THE GOD OF WAR AND THE FOUNDER OF THE AMAZONS. I know Amazon's don't like men, but as shown with Hippolyta with Theseus and later Heracles, she still respects strong men. I believe his mom LOVED him, despite being male. Was so proud and adored him, teaching her son the Amazonian ways. Not to say that his grandmother, Otrera was probably still alive. Probably didn't like men like her daughter, but could respect her strong grandson, ESPECIALLY WHEN SHE FOUND OUT HE JOINED ARTEMIS HUNT. YOU KNOW, ONE OF THE 2 MAIN GODS OF THE AMAZONS. Aka I want to see how Hippolyta and Otrera felt about him.
Now depending on the myth, Hippolyta can be related to 1 to 3 gods. Aka he has the highest record of a Legacy... I think. His grandfather's are Poseidon(Theseus dad)and Ares(Hippolytas dad) and with a stretch, cause I like this Headcannon, his great grandfather is Eurus (Otrera dad, God of Fall and the East wind). So is no one going to talk about how this man is related to 2 powerful Olympians, one of the Wind gods, a descendent of the Amazonians, fierce women warriors, and the son of Theseus, the slayer of the Minotaur????? OH AND HES LIKE THE ONE OF THE FEW MEN ARTEMIS EVER LIKED. THE ARTEMIS. If Ancient Greece had resumes he'd be winning
Talking bout Artemis... it's hard to believe after the Orion incident...which I don't think is too far apart... that Artemis, who befriended a male, giving him a chance, and then him becoming feral and destroying wild life, her sacred place/animals/domain, or falling in love with her, aka the ONE THING YOU DOMT DO. So for Artemis to just get another guy to join the girls only clun.. yeah there was probably a deeper reason and relationship under that. I feel like she met him when he was young, after him running into the woods night hating the royal life, and he helps some girl, probably one of her Huntresses, gets her attention, and they talk about Hunting and hating love, you know fun stuff. I feel like she kinda raised him, teaching him hunting, the importance of life, respecting women, hating love... aka a mom figure(because I'm pretty sure Hippolyta was running the Amazon's and couldn't bring her son with her) so yeah. I believe they had a mother-son relationship. It makes sense it's adorable it also explains how far Artemis would go to bring him back to life. KNOWING THERE WOULD BE CONSEQUENCES. Bruh she didn't even try to resurrect Orion. Just saying a mother's love is very strong.
On that note... I feel like Asclepius and he actually knew each other. 1. Asclepius is nice guy but not dumb, he wouldn't just be handing this cure to death to anyone. Now Artemis could have threatened him but that's whatever. In retrospec, they're kinda cousins, and I feel like they had a nice relationship before his death. ALSO. CAN YOU THINK OF THE ANGST?!? How much guilt Hippolytus would be feeling after. HES THE REASON ASCLEPIUS DIED. YEAH HE DIDN’T ASK FOR ANY OF THIS BUT HIS COUSIN DIED BECAUSE OF HIM. I want those two to reunite and Asclepius to hug him and tell him everything's okay and it worked out cause now he'll help people forever as a god.
Finally. No, he wouldn't forgive his farther. Probably already hates him after, leaving his mom, being a horrible king, not understanding his wished for not wanting to get married, not believing HIS OWN SON OVER HIS NEW WIFE, OH AND KILLING HIM. I want the Hippolyta, Hippolytus, Ariadne, and Zagreus "WE HATE THESEUS" club. Please. It be hilarious. On the topic of Hades game- YES I WANNA SEE HIPPOLYTUS MAYBE HANGING OUT WITH HIS DEAD MOM PELASEEEEW.

A potential reason for why Rick didn't make Ares love his children, and an explanation for why he should have
So, in the PJO series, Rick makes Ares hate his children. Or, if not hate, at the very least ignore them and be abusive to them like all the other gods.
And I've always found this an odd choice, because in the myths, Ares really loved his children more than the other gods. He killed his daughter's rapist, who was a son of Poseidon, whom we also know loved his children, and so of course Ares probably knew that Poseidon would retaliate, right? And Poseidon is more powerful than Ares, and Ares is hated by a lot of the other gods, and it's pretty obvious that Zeus would choose Poseidon over Ares any day, and so would a lot of the other gods.
And Ares still kills Poseidon's son anyway, because he raped his daughter Alcippe, knowing that he would most likely be punished for this and he still does it. That just speaks volumes of love when he could've ignored his daughter for his own safety.
He also gives Hippolyta a magical belt that makes her stronger because she's the best out of all the Amazons, implying his pride about it.
He tries to avenge his son Cycnus when Heracles slays him-and Cycnus DESERVES IT, he literally stole Apollo's sacred grove and his offerings, and Ares still tries to avenge his death (they were even riding chariots together when Heracles encountered them).
And a lot of people say that Rick made Ares neglect his children for the sake of the plot, but here's my counter argument-
Rick should've made Ares love his children TO STRENGTHEN PERCY'S BELIEF IN FIGHTING FOR THE GODS.
Imagine not knowing if you're even fighting on the right side. Imagine wondering if Kronos really was right, does your godly parent care about you?
And then imagine seeing Ares come down and talk to his children and encourage them.
And you're envious, but you also feel that fighting spirit come into you. This man, right here, he's showing that the gods can change, that they're not all bad, that there's something worth fighting for on their side.
(Also cue the angst and comedy of Ares and Percy hating each other and Ares being a good parent to his kids).

Do you have headcanons about Ares and his daughters the Amazons? Otrera is my favourite mortal lover of Ares. You can also include Artemis too, since she is also their patron god. No pressure though
Today's heacanons about the Amazons are brought to you by the Amazon delivery ;)
I'm not actually sponsored by Amazon lmao
There isn't much I can find about why Otrera would build a temple for Ares, so I'm gonna assume the temple was a gift she made for her godly lover for making her the queen of the Amazons. Most of the time it's the gods who showered their mortal lover with gifts, but ya girl Otrera was one of the few who was very reciprocal.
Ares and Otrera's daughters were personally trained by their father. Ares would dramatically fake his defeat when combat-training with his children to boost their confidence, similar to how big cats would pretend to be scared at their cubs' ambush to encourage them.
Ares asked Artemis, the Patron of Hunters herself, to teach the Amazons in archery. He cared a lot about his daughters' training program and only wanted the best teachers for them. For her teaching and assisting, Otrera built a temple for Artemis as an act of gratitude.
Through their time spent training the Amazons, Ares and Artemis grew closer than ever and finally fully forgave each other for their not-so-happy childhood together. Artemis even promised that her virgin hunters would be a trusting ally for the Amazons whenever they need.
When Otrera passed away, Hippolyta succeeded her mother's position as the new leader of the Amazons. On Hippolyta's coronation, Ares gifted her the magic girdle as a symbol of her queenship.
However, father Ares took the "you did nothing wrong and I love you for it" to an extreme in his parenting. Because of his overly indulgence, his children can become too arrogant for their own good. Although the Amazons, blessed by their father, were fierce warriors who vanquished and conquered many lands, they might underestimate many formidable opponents like other Greek heroes, and that would lead to many of their tragedies.
Ares had a deep hatred for Theseus and Heracles for attacking his Amazon daughters. In Heracles' ninth labor, he sailed to retrieve Hippolyta's girdle, which resulted in a war between Heracles' crew and the Amazons that may or may not be ignited by Hera.
After the conflict, Heracles and Theseus successfully defeated the Amazons, stole the magic girdle, and even abducted Antiope, a sister of Hippolyta and Penthesilea. With their Ares' guidance and support, Hippolyta and Penthesilea led the Amazons to storm Athens and rescue Antiope, leading to the Attic War.
Unfortunately, the Amazons were once again defeated. Antiope was killed by Theseus, and Penthesilea accidentally killed Hippolyta. Having lost two wars and two sisters, Penthesilea was wrecked with survival guilt. Ares was there to be her safe haven as she screamed and cried her heart out from pain, even though the god wasn't in the best state either after two consecutive deaths of his daughters.
When one of his Amazon daughters died, Ares would mourn and honored her greatly. Something something the god of war who excited with bloodshed cried for the bloodshed of his kin.
When Penthesilea declared she would join the Trojan War to die an honorable death and repent for not being able to save her sisters, Ares was heart-broken. He didn't want to lose his remaining daughter, but upon seeing Penthesilea's unmovable determination, he eventually let her go.
And when Penthesilea died as well, Ares finally broke. I think this excerpt capture his grief better:
Then Ares' heart was thrilled with grief and rage for his child [Penthesileia] slain. Straight from Olympus down he darted, swift and bright as thunderbolt terribly flashing from the mighty hand of Zeus, far leaping o'er the trackless sea, or flaming o'er the land, while shuddereth all wide Olympus as it passeth by. So through the quivering air with heart aflame swooped Ares armour-clad, soon as he heard the dread doom of his daughter. - Quintus Smyrnaeus, "Fall of Troy"

A Cosmos In The Sand
The End
 Two weeks after the battle, Raven and the remaining Azarathians returned to their land, escorted by the Themyscirans.
         Raven’s heart rent at what she saw.  The land seemed lifeless; the entire area smelled of death.  Raven frowned at the grayness before her.  It brought tears to her eyes.  Azarath was once vibrant and full of life, but now it lay barren as a wasteland.  “Azarathians have a deep connection to their land.  When its inhabitants are well, the land prospers.”  Raven looked up at Queen Hippolyta who was speaking.  “The land just `needs a little life breathed into it,” Queen Hippolyta smiled at Raven.  Raven stared at her hands.  Could it work?  Only one way to find out.  Summoning her powers, Raven placed her hands on the ground and released everything within her.  Closing her eyes in concentration, she allowed her powers to flow through her into Azarath.  The sounds of gasps caught her attention.  She slowly opened her eyes and gasped.  Green shoots poked their heads through the ground.  The lakes were now filled, and Raven could sense the waterfalls in the distance flowing with life.  It was a long way from perfect, hardly resembling its former glory.  Despite the destroyed buildings, it was a start.
         “Now what?” Raven turned Queen Hippolyta.  “There’s only 20 of us left.”
         "The war has caused many others to be misplaced; they could use a new home," the queen answered.
         “Still, there’s so much work to be done,” Raven frowned, feeling hopeless.
         “Raven,” Queen Hippolyta placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.  “You will not be alone.  We will help you rebuild.”
         “What about Themyscira?”
         “Diana can handle things while I’m away.  We will stay and rebuild no matter how long it takes.”
         That was a year ago.  Now, at 22, Raven had become the ruler of New Azarath.  People from all walks of life populated the new region.  The women once held hostage by Slaede made up her counsel, so she wasn’t ruling alone.  Raven had also taken on the responsibility of raising two sets of twins whose mothers had been murdered by Slaede.  They lived with her in a recently constructed temple, on a hill.  At the bottom of the hill, there was a huge memorial with the names of all the Azarathians whose lives were lost.  It was a huge project, but one of the Azarathian woman had the power to see the history behind any object she touched.  Raven spent many hours staring at the names, tracing her mother’s and Azar’s name with her fingers.
         Raven sighed, backing away from the shiny, pearl memorial with her mother’s name and began the long trek to her temple/house. She had changed.   Her first night in New Azarath, Raven had chopped off her hair.  It had since grown.  She thought about cutting it again, but the length reminded her of her mother, so she left it alone.  Her hair was no longer decorated with heavy, gaudy jewelry.  Gone was the skimpy attire Slaede used to parade her in, showing her off.  Now, she wore white and beige, lightweight tunics with a slit going up to her thigh, sometimes accompanied with a himation.  Raven no longer wore ornate jewelry, and she no longer outlined her eyes in kohl and painted her lips red.  She looked like a simple Azarathian female, almost blending in with Azarath.  However, people recognized her wherever she went.  There weren’t too many Azarathians with violet eyes.  Thankfully, people didn’t bother her.   They simply acknowledged her existence.
Raven became the sought-after figure for the children who were once held hostage, and their mothers often had to shoo them away.  Raven had also taken Maya and Xenevra under her wings and was instructing them magic herself.
         “Your Majesty!  Your Majesty!”  Raven looked up to see a messenger galloping on a horse towards her with Aelfred in tow.
         “You can call me Raven,” Raven said for the thousandth time.
         “Riders on the horizon,” he gasped.
         “What!” Raven’s eyes widened in horror.  Raven quickly mounted Aelfred and followed the messenger to the entrance of the city where a crowd had gathered.  They were pointing at what looked like an approaching army.  Raven could feel the fear and tension in the air.
         “Raven!” someone called her name.  She turned to see Maya, followed by Xenevra, running to her.  “What’s going on?” Maya asked with fear in her eyes.
         “I don’t know,” Raven said, “but I’m going to find out.”
         Finding a quiet place away from the crowd, Raven sat on the ground and looked up at the two girls who had followed her.  “Protect my body,” she said.  The girls nodded.  Raven closed her eyes and began a spell she had just learned a month ago.  She felt her soul gently slip from her body.  Once it had completely disconnected, Raven willed it towards the incoming army.  Her soul flew at a speed Raven couldn’t fathom.  Within seconds, her soul had reached the army.  Relief flooded her as she recognized the lead rider.  She called her soul back and exclaimed breathlessly, “It’s Damyan!”  She looked up at Maya and Xenevra with new life in her eyes.  The two girls relaxed.  “We need to let everyone know we are about to have guests!” Raven said, jumping to her feet.  They had a feast to prepare.
         Raven stood at the city’s entrance as Damyan approached.  It had taken about 8 hours, and the sun was beginning its descent, but he was finally here.  The Azarathians had prepared food and lodging.  Raven used magic to rapidly grow crops so the many horses would have hay.  (She never liked using her magic to interrupt nature, but this was a special occasion.)
         Her heart raced in her chest as Damyan dismounted.  Damyan marched up to her with a stern look on his face and a twinkle in his eye.  He stopped a foot away from her.  “Damyan,” Raven said his name as she stared up at him.  His lip twitched, and the next thing she knew, he was pulling her into a deep, heated kiss.  Raven grasped at his cape and armor as Damyan opened his mouth wider, inviting Raven in – an invitation she immediately accepted.  His gloved hands traced the curves of her body, and Raven moaned into his mouth.  It took a moment before Raven remembered they were not alone.  She quickly broke the kiss.  Breathlessly, she looked up at Damyan who was smirking down at her.  "If I had known I would be greeted like that, I would have gotten here sooner," he beamed.  Raven blushed before welcoming the men and leading them into the city.
         The night was festive.  Raven watched sat by Damyan, watching as the children danced around a blazing fire while music played.  She was mindlessly humming to the music when Damyan leaned over and whispered in her ear, “Can we go somewhere…quiet?”
         Raven nodded with a blush.  “Yeah, come with me.”
         They walked a while before Raven led him to a familiar pasture - a pasture familiar to her.  Damyan looked around at the bright, red flowers.  “What are these?” he asked.
         “Fire cosmos flowers,” Raven answered, bending down to caress one of the petals, “they can survive in the harshest environment with little to no water.”
         “Just like you,” Damyan gently removed a strand of hair from her face.
         “What do you mean?” Raven asked.
         “You were trapped in a harsh environment, yet, you survived.”
         “Right,” Raven scoffed, “I hurt a lot of innocent people to ensure my survival, though.”
         “You didn’t hurt anyone, Raven,” Damyan said.  “You were being held prisoner by a tyrant king.  You may have interpreted your visions, but he and the soldiers who followed him were the ones who did the slaughtering.  Not you.  Now, I’ve done terrible things under the guise of peace,” Damyan admitted.  “That’s where I’ve been this entire time – trying to right my wrongs.”
         “We were at war,” Raven said, placing a hand on his cheek.  “You were at war.”
         “It still doesn’t erase the guilt.”  The two stared at each other in silence.
         “So,” Raven eventually spoke, “have you spoken to Jhon?”
         “Rode through the city a couple of days ago.  He is loving his role as prince of New Polis,” Damyan answered referring to the city that was once Slaede’s capital.  “Things have calmed down immensely.  We, my men and I, have been wandering for a long time – fixing wrongs…but…I didn’t come here to rehash the past,” he gazed at her.  “I’m here to talk about the future, our future.”
         “Our future?” Raven questioned.
         “I want to stay here with you, if you’ll have me,” Damyan spoke honestly.
         “But…you and your clan, you’re nomads.”
         “We used to be, but…Azarath is thriving right now.  What happens when another tyrant rises up and decides Azarath needs razing again.”
         “I know,” Raven frowned, “I constantly worry; but what can I do?”
         “Allow me and my men to be your protection.”
         “Protection?  Is that why you came, to be Azarath’s…protection?”
         “No,” Damyan answered, “I came to marry you.”
         “Wait?” Raven paused.  “You want to marry me?”
         “I’ve thought about it.  You love New Azarath, you’re dedicated to her citizens.  I could never pull you away from here.  Simultaneously, I want to be with you.”
         “Damyan,” Raven breathed as he cupped her face in his hands, “the women, my counsel, they’re weary of new men.  If I have armed strangers walking the streets – “
         “They’ll camp outside of the city.  Miles and miles away if need be.”
         “Damyan…”
         “If I must abdicate, I will.  I…I just want to be with you.  This year without you has been torturous.  I can’t…I can’t go another year without you,” he breathed.  “I can’t,” he said, bringing her into a heated kiss.  Damyan really hoped he communicated everything he was feeling through the kiss.  Raven responded in kind.  “I keep remembering how carefree you looked the night before I left,” he said between kisses.  “I never got to know that woman,” he kissed her again, “but I would really like to know her, if you’ll have me.”
         “Yes,” Raven pulled herself closer to him, “yes.  You don’t have to abdicate anything.  New Azarath really could use the protection.  Okay?”
         “Okay,” Damyan smiled.
         “I love you,” Raven said.  “I need you to know that.”
         “I love you, too,” Damyan admitted.
         “Please don’t leave me again,” Raven begged.
         “I won’t,” Damyan said before taking her lower lip into his mouth.  “I’ll never leave you again.”  Raven moaned into Damyan’s mouth as he slowly lowered them to the ground.  Wrapping her arms around his neck, she lost herself in the feel of him.  Relaxing as Damyan linked their fingers before bringing their joined hands above her head.
         “Thank you for rescuing me,” Raven breathed.
         “You rescued me first,” Damyan replied before kissing his way down her body.  Raven hummed in agreement as she felt Damyan’s hand’s on her skin.  This was the start to a beautiful life = a life she intended to lead to the fullest.

Amazons #4 "The Attic War"
Seething with fury at the abduction of their sister in arms, the Amazons, led by the Co-queen, and sister to Antiope, Orithyia, sails to Attica and invades. They are fiercely intent on rescuing Antiope, and avenging Hippolyta’s murder and recovering the war belt from Herakles. After conquering the surrounding area of Attica, the Amazons march on the capitol; Athens.
But Antiope is now queen of Athens, and now mother to a Greek son, Hippolytus. Thus she fights on the side of the Greeks, and in the frenzy of battle, is accidently struck down by a Lance from an Amazon sister, Molpadia. Theseus, raging at the death of his wife, kills Molpadia in revenge. The Attic war rages on for 4 months, and after many Amazonian and Greek deaths, finally draws to a close when a peace treaty is brokered between Orithyia and Theseus, and the Amazons return to their homeland.
In Plutarch’s “Parallel Lives” he mentions the multiple versions of events in the Attic war. One version has, as mentioned, Antiope fighting to defend the Greeks, and is killed by the misplaced javelin throw of Molpadia. Another fascinating version has Theseus abandon Antiope to marry Phaedra, and Antiope and the Amazons attacking on the day of the wedding, where Antiope is killed by Theseus. Talk about drama! Plutarch also mentions historical authors which list specific locations of where the Amazon troops fought amongst Athens, as well as Amazonian burial sites.
Orithyia, sister to Antiope, is the daughter of Amazon Queen Marpesia, who is said to be one of the founders of Ephesus. It is said after the death of her sister Antiope, Orithyia built a tomb for her, and later dies of her own wounds. Orithyia is succeeded by the Amazon Queen Penthesilea, who we will discuss next.

Do you think Artemis could accept a boy as part of her hunt? If so, how would it be?
EDIT [8/22/2024]: The answers to this anon question will take parts of Artemis' Greek Mythos to fill in gaps and be applied in the world building of PJO.
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ Alright, mythos wise there have been men part of her hunt. But they are very much the exception to the rule and are not standard. Though it’s not probably in the way you’re thinking either.
However, they are very much exception to the rule but also abided by the rules. These said men were Artemis’ male hunting companions, Orion the giant and Hippolytos. Despite having proof there were men* hunting alongside Artemis, it doesn’t mean they would be part of her hunt for various reasons. Orion is a giant so we can’t really be sure how the whole divinity thing is going on so let’s turn to Hippolytos. Hippolytos was the son of Theseus with Hippolyta/Antiope, and was a devotee of Artemis. He was a hunter and sportsman who turned away from sex and marriage, thus worshiped Artemis and refused to honour Aphrodite. As we’ve seen historically happened with Aphrodite, she causes Hippolytus’ stepmother, Phaedra, to fall in love with him and when he naturally refuses her advances, sets in motion which leads to his death, with the help of Theseus and Poseidon. Artemis steps in when a devotee of hers is harmed and honours him; which depending on the story provided depends how she honours him but regardless his story lives on nonetheless.
From what I can gather from the mythos of Artemis and her hunting retinue, they have to be dedicated to the hunt and follow the words of Artemis. This applies to the boys as well, but with the extra emphasis they are not to mingle with her huntresses that is outside of being part of the hunt, as well as knowing by hunting alongside with Artemis and her huntresses, they may not have the same benefits and blessing as the huntresses; such as the semi-immortality.
While Artemis may bless them in some way as part of her hunt, they’re not able to get everything because at the core of it, her domain is female virgins/maidens/girls. So men aren’t able to get the benefits because they’re not part of her domain since with Artemis, it’s females, and with men, it’s Apollo, her twin.  Basically, Artemis would only have men in her hunt if they were truly a devotee of Artemis and are sworn off romance and love like the huntresses, but I wouldn’t say they are directly part of her hunt since they wouldn’t have the benefits and protections due to the limitations of her domain.
This is probably cheating and a loophole, but there is a story of Siproities: Where Artemis turned Siproites, a hunter man/boy who accidentally peeped at Artemis when she was bathing and as punishment, turned Siproites into a girl/woman. Although it’s not unusual for the gods to change peoples’ sexes into the other due to various situations, I subscribed to the version where Artemis probably did it because technically Siproities was a child so she couldn’t exactly kill him because as a child, he fell under her domain of protection but on the other hand, due to being male, it was a slight against her.
If someone really wanted to join Artemis’ hunt, they could ask Artemis that they’re proving their desire to join her hunt and turn into a girl/woman to be able to join, on top of swearing fealty to Artemis and her hunters.

As someone with WW2 expertise, maybe you can clear something up for me. What was the deal with Baroness Paula von Gunther? I've read differing accounts of her activities during the war and her relationship with Wonder Woman. Can you help me out?
I can give it my best shot! However this comes with a couple of disclaimers. 1. As far as my records indicate because of circumstances at the end of the story, Baroness Von Gunther is probably still ALIVE. Not that I think she has an interest in speaking for posterity just know that should she ever have the inclination her own word could contradict everything I am about to say 2. Certain folks on Tumblr are not gonna like this story because the lesson to take from it is that ANYONE can change and should be given the opportunity which is a philosophical stance the Amazons and Wonder Woman specifically STILL come under fire for. Records on Von Gunther's very early life are scarce but it can be inferred that she was born near the end of WWI in modern day Austria to a family of minor nobility. Noble enough to be stripped of their titles after the collapse of Austria-Hungary but not sitting on enough land to bounce back. She was married young to a slightly higher minor noble named Gottfried Von Gunther. Given later circumstances we can assume their marriage was not exactly a whirlwind romance but it DID create one of the monster important parts of Baroness Von Gunther's life: Her daughter Gerta
Tumblr media
(Personal Photo of Paula and Gerta circa 1937~. One thing of note is that this was torn from a larger photograph, which presumably included Gottfried somewhere which speaks to Paula's relationship with the man) It was in 1938, during the Nazi annexation of Austria that the Von Gunther family was target by the Nazi Gestapo. Seeking the family's remaining wealth Gottfried was killed in Nazi captivity and Gerta was taken hostage. Paula connections in the fashion and beauty industries built during her time as a bachelorette in the early 30s were leveraged to allow her position as a spy and saboteur. It was in this position and under the codename "Uberfraulien" (That is under the original meaning of "codename" in that it was used to refer to her in coded Nazi messages, not an intentional moniker) that Baroness Von Gunther would cross paths with Wonder Woman, the newly arrived Hippolyta of Themyscira
Tumblr media
(File Photo from Von Gunther's OSS records circa 1942.) In her espionage career Baroness Von Gunther unlocked a previously unknown skill in all things scientific and was the creator of many disquieting devices. Robots, mind control, etc. She was captured, imprisoned and even sentenced to death multiple times but with Gerta's safety back home dependent upon her activity she always escaped. It wasn't until war's end when she formulated a plan to invade Paradise Island itself that she was captured for good. And that Hippolyta in her Wonder Woman guise was able to reunite her with Gerta, rescued from Nazi captivity in occupied Vienna. It was after this rescue and behind closed doors she was made an offer that would be controversial today and was considered treasonous at the time. Serve out her "sentence" on Paradise Island with interest in reform rather than being handed over to the US for execution as an enemy agent. America ERUPTED at the news. Hippolyta was branded a security risk, stripped of most of her earned credentials. Only the All Star Squadron and the Justice Society refused any orders to purge her membership outright by simply not responding to them at all. And that's where the story has stood for the last...79 years and counting? Paula and Gerta Von Gunther were taken in as adopted Amazons and have been there ever since, far from the public eye. The only modern information we have on them is when some fucking asshole college leftist shouted an accusation at Diana after she intervened during unrest at Harvard University. The transcript of said response is better than I could write so this is from the lips of the Amazon herself Student (after being asked to disperse as the protest on campus was creating a risk of violence): "We don't take orders from people who shelter Nazis!" Diana (Pausing and turning to face the student directly): "One of the things of Man's World I might truly never understand is your insistence on punishment. Paula Von Gunther is a sister of mine. She has harmed no one in lifetimes, every moment since spent in contemplation and the care of others. If six decades of reform is not enough to sate your lust for retribution than the crime lies with you, not her."
