There was colour everywhere. On the floor, on the walls of the dorms, in the corridor. But in one room it seemed as if a colour explosion had taken place.

Theo stopped mid-stride, her lips instantly curving into a wide grin. Upon turning the corner, she found that the usual dark and drab halls had been painted in a litany of a million wonderful hues. Some might have classified it a mess, but she would say it was more of a creative redecoration. She burst out into laughter. Her day had suddenly gotten entirely less dull.

Best to find out whoever was responsible for such a display. Her hands traced the colors as she admired the way they swirled into yellows, greens, blues, getting louder in vibrancy the further she went.

She almost felt like she was following a rainbow to a pot of gold ....until she stumbled on to what had to be the epicenter of whatever had happened.

She turned to peer around the room, covering her mouth to hold back further laughter. Despite the chaos, it was beautiful to look at. Her eyes soaked it all in. There was not one inch of it that was not covered in color. Vaguely she wondered if the person responsible was also currently covered in rainbow colors to match.

"Merlin. Someone's been busy..." She calls out to no one in particular, letting her chuckles fill the air.

The school system in HSF is so freaking weird to watch because the process of expelling a student in this school is so different from what is going on in my country.

Just because it's difficult isn't a good reason enough to expel someone. This is so stupid that a teacher would say this. I admit I don't know how Thai schools work. The process must be different from what I know, but I believe most people who decide to become a teacher are trying to do well and don't cop out when there is a difficult situation.

It's also weird to summon at the same time the students you want to expel with the student you think he is the victim of his supposed "violence" (here I'm talking about Shin and Saint).

This school isn't even trying hard to find a solution. How do you want the student to care for their education if you never listen to what they are saying or trying to be better at explaining what the school expect from them.

Thankfully, some other teachers in the series had better ideas!

there’s so many writing choices in this film that i could gripe about but i can’t deny the way the end scenes have me chewing dry wall. we’ve just spent the entire film seeing alex paint himself as the victim in all of this, a hapless bystander swept into the insanity of nigel’s world and having to pay the price for it. there’s little hints here and there that maybe there’s more to the story - e.g. nigel’s comment about alex and susan (to which alex offers immediate refutation) - but there’s never any real and clear indication. until the end. until we get that 9 month time skip and we see sally pulling up to the cemetery. until we learn that susan’s grave has been dug up and the skull stolen. and then the train scene my god, the reality sets in that alex has been playing them this entire time, that he’s become the very thing nigel always wanted him to be. the ending to this film is both the end of alex’s story and the beginning of jack’s.
