Can I share a fear rq? can I share a fear with y'all? Can I tell you what I witness and what it manifests in to? Will it manifest the entity looming in the darkest parts of my head? Will you blame me for going insane or will you find some sort of sick, disorienting beauty in my destruction, in my fusing with said entity? Will I still be alone then? Will I be known, then? Will it sicken you to see how full of love I am and how colored by distrust it is? Will you look away when the hand you reach for turns to a blade and cuts yours off, or will you pull back too? Did you already have that prosthetic, there? Is that what you call self preservation?

it's like. louis attempted to tell this story to daniel the first time, broke down, and attacked him before he could finish it.

and then decades later he's convinced himself that it was leaving the story unresolved that's holding him back from living his life fully now. so he invites daniel back again. and louis is sitting poised and put together, confident in his ability to recite his history in a pretty, poignant, neat little narrative that will resolve all the guilt and yearning and emptiness inside of him. that if he can just tell a compelling, satisfying story, maybe it will actually be that, and not the life he lived through, with all the pitfalls of his own failures lurking inside.

and then season 1 ends with him once again being forced to confront that the story he wants to imagine and the life he actually lived aren't the same thing. the boundaries around his narrative are shredded and he's left exposed, and subsequently able to face his past for the first time since that original interview. and you think, you think, "well this is it. they've crossed the event horizon. there's no use hiding the truth anymore, not after it's come flooding out into the open like this"

and then season 2 opens. not only is it back to the original, practiced distance, we now have armand literally enforcing that distance. a man sitting at the table who's interjections must be disregarded, an intentional interruption to the flow of the story. he doesn't exist to aid or add detail, he exists to distract louis when he gets too deep in the story. the only time we do get louis allowing any deep truth to come out is when armand leaves the room.

it's like. louis wants a story that's true, and the truth is what he's convinced will leave him satisfied. armand wants a story that will satisfy louis, to the extent louis will accept it's true.

Wanda: “Agatha, I think it’s time to face your greatest fear.”

Agatha: “Wait, are they going to have animatronic sharks there?!”

Wanda: “Huh?”

Agatha: “Loud toilet flushes?!”

Agatha: “ANIMATRONIC SHARKS THAT SOUND LIKE LOUD TOILETS?!”

Wanda: “No - the chance to make amends.”

Agatha: *disgusted face* “Nope. A loud toilet full of animatronic sharks is much scarier. So thanks for that image, goodnight!”

Rick Sanchez x Self - Insert OC Fan-Fiction

I have 10 chapters released on wattpad of my self-insert OC x Rick Sanchez fan fiction - if you liked my Dick Prime excerpt chapter please go give it a read 💜

Heres a little summary for you;

Aurora Augustine is an interdimensional traveler from X-258 - a dimension beyond the central finite curve where she is the smartest woman in the universe. She also happens to be the Rick Sanchez' best friend - whom she hasn't seen in 6 years. Long story short, when a romance goes bad and Rick saves her from the former, she enters back into his life almost as if she never left. Rick proposes that in order for Aurora to stay with the Smiths - she has to help him as he re-starts up his plan to eliminate Rick Prime to finally get justice for his dead wife and daughter. Aurora agrees and Rick realizes that her presence in his life starts to bring up feelings that he long thought were dead.

Doing the maths ahead of the new banner and oh dear, oh no

My high school did a yearly poetry recitation contest (Poetry Out Loud), so Oh Boy do I know some poems. My favorites are Ozymandias and "the world is about to end and my grandparents are in love," by Kara Jackson. Also in 8th grade we had a Poe unit and had a class contest to make the best music video of the Raven, so I still know a good chunk of that.

i hadn't heard of the kara jackson one! just read through it and enjoyed it, particularly these lines > 'grandma returns to her love like a hymn, marks it with a color. // when the world ends will it suck the earth of all its love? /will i go taking somebody’s hand, / my skin becoming their skin?'
