GOTHAM FILES: SEASON 5
JASON TODD IS ALIVE!!!
Ra’s Al Ghul has brought him back to life and intends to give him back to Bruce as a reconciliation gift. The only thing is, the Lazarus Pit can have… interesting effects on people, especially when bringing them back to life. In Jason’s case, he comes back with a serious case of brain fog, with some slightly psychotic tendencies. Ra’s can’t return Jason like this, so he spends the next few months rehabilitating the boy and training him with the League. He’ll be such a fine warrior, not only will Bruce be getting his protégé back, but he’ll be in better shape than when he died. Little by little, though, Jason is beginning to come back to his senses, his memories return, and he begins to question where he is and what he’s doing. This isn’t right… where’s Bruce? Where’s Alfred? Why isn’t he in Gotham anymore? In a panic, somewhat brought on by the side effects of the Pit, Jason escapes the League of Shadows and winds up totally alone, totally lost in West Asia, trying to get back home. The League of Shadows goes after him, and he has to outrun them any way he can, and after a long, harrowing adventure where he jumps all around Asia, South-East Asia, and Australia, he is finally on the fast track to getting back to the States and Gotham. He’s thrilled to be back home, but the first thing he sees when he looks at the news… is Batman… and a new Robin… saving the city. He heads to the Manor to see for himself and finds Tim Drake sleeping in one of the guest bedrooms. There’s still some Lazarus Madness in his head, so he doesn’t take this so well at first. It gets worse when he realises that Joker is still alive. Batman never avenged him. Cue the events of “Under the Red Hood” where Jason takes down a gang of thugs, takes the identity of their leader, “The Red Hood,” and starts tearing up Gotham, looking for Joker, while simultaneously poking Bruce at every available opportunity. And then, when the truth is finally revealed about who Red Hood is, Ra’s shows up and tries to be all, “Look! I brought Jason back for you! Surprise? Heheh… now come marry my daughter.” And Bruce is like…. “No.” Ra’s warns him, though, that if he doesn’t join him now, he’s going to be in for a few surprises soon. He still refuses. Ra’s slinks off back to the Shadows.
Anyway, the point is, Bruce is confronted by Jason regarding Joker. Jay doesn’t hold a grudge against Bruce for not being able to save him—it was Jason’s own fault that he wound up that situation in the first place—but what he is ticked about is the fact that Joker’s still alive, and, well, to a lesser extent that he’s been kinda replaced, but it’s mostly the Joker thing. But since Jason isn’t Robin anymore, he’s not playing by Batman’s rules. He’s going to do what Batman couldn’t, and be the hero Gotham really needs. He’s going to end the Joker once and for all. Bruce tries to stop him. Killing isn’t the answer. It’s a quick fix, but it’s no guarantee that another Joker won’t pop up tomorrow, and worse… Bruce isn’t prepared to lose what’s left of his humanity. He’s traveling a dark enough path as it is. He refuses to let himself fall further and become the very thing he hates. He doesn’t want that for Jason either. In the end though, due to Bruce and Jason fighting, Joker gets away (he does wind up getting hurt bad enough that he loses sight in one eye, though), and Bruce begs Jason to come home. He’s just so immensely relieved to see him alive! But Jason… he’s not the same kid he was when he went under. He’s not Bruce’s Robin anymore and he still plans on killing Joker. It’s time they parted ways. For good.
So, yeah, the falling out part is real sad… and everyone’s brooding over what happened, and Dick even tries to find and talk to Jason, but that doesn’t help. It looks like Jay’s not ever going to be part of the BatFam again… until this happens:
Jason is rightfully ticked at Bruce, but they can shelve that long conversation for a later date. Right now they’ve gotta MOVE if they want to get Tim home alive. Everyone gets called in, Nightwing, Batgirl, Spoiler, even Starfire shows up, as she and Dick have been dating for a while now. Joker’s come up with a real twisted scheme this time, one that really throws the crew for a loop as they try to figure it all out, and Joker nearly has enough time to psychologically torture Tim (giving the Batman: Beyond film flashbacks!) but before Tim can be all twisted up into mini-Joker, his team arrives and they save him just in the nick of time!
Jason is ultimately the one to grab him, and in a way he confronts his own trauma by sparing Tim from a similar fate. This is how they bond and become one of the closer pairs in the BatFam. Jason really kicked into “Protective Older Brother Mode.”
After that scare, Batman keeps Jason from killing Joker and he’s instead locked up tight in Arkham Asylum. Again. Hopefully this time he won’t break out… hopefully. Now Jason can really chew Bruce out, but the main thing this adventure did was force them all to work together again. And maybe Jason won’t really be too far away from now on. He’s still gonna have his own place and do his own thing, but… he still does care about Bruce… and he does think of Dick and Tim as brothers… and Alfred is the best. Jason will be around.
The season goes on for a bit longer, tackling a few other stories, etc, etc, and then it ends with Dick proposing to Starfire… and Ra’s kidnapping Bruce again, but this time, it’s not to force him to marry Talia… mostly. This time, he’s got something to tell Bruce. There’s someone he needs to meet. His son, Damian Wayne. Way back in season 1, Talia had stolen some… “DNA” from Bruce while he was captured, and they had used it, in conjunction with her own… “DNA” to create Damian. She and Ra’s had been raising him for the past ten years, training him to be the perfect weapon, the perfect leader, and the perfect heir to the throne of the League of Shadows. Now it was time for the next stage in his studies. Talia had taught him just about everything she knew. Now it was Bruce’s turn. Besides, the boy had wanted to meet his father. Ra’s declares that Damian will go live with Bruce for five years, and then return home.
…So, long story short, Bruce winds up back in Gotham on the heels of Dick’s engagement with the ten-year-old son he never knew he had.
These next few years are gonna be fun.

Am I sleep deprived? Yes. But, imagine the following.
Batman is away with the Justice League. He’s saving the planet from Brainiac or some shit.
Bane is in Gotham. Plotting. Scheming. Thinking about crime, but most importantly, Batman.
You thought joker was fucking obsessed? Wait until you see bane’s bedroom. Dartboards with the batfam. Various articles of clothing he’s torn from their suits. Where they go to school. Everything. He even has the fucking x-ray scans from Batman’s broken back. He knows Batman’s identity, and everyone else’s too. He says nothing, because Batman is HIS to break, and nobody else’s.
Bane comes up with a plan. A great plan. He’s a little cuckoo off venom, but it’s perfect. He’ll do something heinous, Batman will come, and he’ll break his back again. He’ll get that feeling from breaking the bat again.
So he does something ridiculous. Robs a bank or something. He isn’t stopped by Batman though. It’s Nightwing. He remembers beating Batman when Dick was a boy. He remembers Dick beating him for the first time. He turns on the venom.
When he wakes up, he doesn’t see the broken body of a teen, and he’s got several bruises. (Yes, he forgot Nightwing is a grown ass man now. Venom, dude.) He’s also in an entirely different part of Gotham. He can infer that he lost. It doesn’t matter. Batman didn’t arrive for Bane, so that means Batman isn’t here. Now how could Bane get to Batman when he comes back?
Obviously he could beat up Alfred, or graffiti crime alley, or something minuscule that just warrants him an extra hard beating when Batman finds out. So what if… he hurt the entire Batfam for something they couldn’t beat him for? What if he attacked their pride, and not their spines?
Commissioner Gordon, sits, and stares at the bat signal. He flicks it on. He always does this, every night, to see if Batman came back and, if he didn’t, give whatever info needed to Dick or Jason. Whoever lost the coin flip. He didn’t. He flicks it off, and just past where the beam of light had started, Bane is there. Or, he tried to get there. Do the ominous thing. He is more or less still climbing over the ledge of the roof. Bodybuilding doesn’t exactly make you an acrobat, okay?
Gordon, logical individual he is, draws his gun. Points it at Bane. Bane eventually crawls up and stands tall. There is a dumb little beak on Bane’s mask. He says that he is “The Hawk.” Gordon laughs at him. Bane says he wants whatever file he was going to give to the bat family member. Gordon thinks it’s stupid of him to make such a demand. So Bane mentions Barbara. That he knows her secret. Gordon knows it too, of course. He’s been in her bedroom, and she just sort of has an entire stand for her batgirl suit in the closet. Bane knowing this intimidates Gordon. Gordon shouts threats, and Bane calmly reinstates that he can be trusted. He’s never broken Batgirl’s spine. Gordon doesn’t know what Bane’s doing. He does, however, begrudgingly hand over a Joker case file.
Joker is plotting. Don’t get me wrong, he’s obsessing over Batman, but he’s thinking about how to get to him like Bane would had Nightwing not clocked him on the head a little too hard. He thinks he’ll kidnap little Damian and see how far the others will get to rescue him. He of course, doesn’t understand that kidnapping Damian isn’t easy, but you know, definition of insanity.
Outside though, a group of goons see Batman, but realize that it’s not Batman. For one, no bat ears. For two, he’s fucking jacked. Like, Batman is big but not 6’8” tall. And finally, he’s standing at the entrance, in plain sight. And soon, they breath a sigh of relief. It’s bane. Boss probably invited him for the plan. Bane steps out of the darkness. They laugh at him as he calls himself “The Hawk” and denies being Bane.
So Bane counts. He does things Batman wouldn’t. He breaks an arm. Eighteen muggings stopped. A leg. Five bank robberies prevented. A big ass kick in the nuts. A million potential child abuse victims gone forever.
Joker continues plotting and laughing, when Bane jumps through his skylight. Bane says he’s “The Hawk.” Joker laughs at him again. So Bane counts.
As he throws Joker’s crippled, still laughing body from his van and through a GCPD window, he thinks about how many lives he’s saved. Probably more than Batman will the first week of arriving back home. He laughs to himself. He LIKES being better than Batman at his own game.
When Batman returns, chaos ensues. He’s confused as all hell when Alfred tells him everything. It’s been a month, and Gothamite criminals felt a fear like they haven’t since Batman admittedly got a bit softer. He goes to congratulate Bane. Not in some spectacle, but in his gloomy way. For the first time in a while, he makes a mistake. When congratulating Bane, he looks away, exposing his back. So Bane counts.
Guys can you tell I love Bane?

Goth-Pod Ep 2: Dick Grayson
Welcome Back to Goth-Pod with Juda Boone!
(Despite the technical difficulties and change of format, we continue on! Gothamites are stubborn in that way.)
[goth-pod is a fictional in-universe podcast based on the DC comics universe. Juda Boone is an original fictional character, not based on any real person or known comic book character. The mentioned true crime podcast, "Gotham City's Best" is not a real podcast, that I know of.]
Transcript under the cut
Hello everyone and welcome back to Goth-Pod, your Gotham Based podcast! I am your favorite queer-as-in-strange host Juda Boone.
Today we are discussing a hot topic in our city. And I’d like for it to be known that a lesser host would make a “Emphasis on HOT” joke here.
I come bearing bad news, everyone. We have lost one of our beloved Gotham citizens to the big city in the sky.
Wait-no, sorry that was a total typo of my script. We lost a beloved citizen to the small city up the river. Don't know how those got mixed up. For those of you in the know, you probably have guessed that I am talking about Dick Grayson-Wayne’s recent move to our other sister city, Bludhaven.
Dick Grayson is one of those names that any Gothamite paying attention will recognize. But for our non-native listeners, here's a quick run down.
Dick Grayson-Wayne is the adoptive son of Bruce Wayne. And if you don’t know who Bruce Wayne is, I’m sorry I can't help you. I don't- I don’t even know how you found this podcast if that’s the case.
Now, I hear the word “nepotism” thrown around a lot when talking about Wayne’s Ward. But let us not forget that Grayson is a trained aerialist performer. He’s been doing insane stunts since he was a kid. Grayson was a talented, hard working kid who grew up into a talented adult. Though he does seem to be following Wayne footsteps in being something of a pretty playboy. And you know what? Good for him.
If you’re curious about how Grayson came to the care of Bruce Wayne, feel free to check out my colleagues and close friends at Gotham City’s Best: A True Crime Podcast.
No matter where Grayson came from, or where he is going now, he is a beloved son of Gotham and we will definitely miss him.
Grayson is not a Gotham-native, but Gotham has claimed him all the same. Tragedy, perseverance and finding your own family follow nobody the way it follows a true child of Gotham.
All I have to say is: Good luck Bludhaven. You got a Wayne coming your way.
Thanks for joining! I’m Juda, you’re listening to Goth-Pod. Until next time, stay safe, Gotham.

The Arrow and his Outlaw
Roy Harper x Male! Reader (pride month y’all)
Happy pride 🏳️🌈 love you all
Warning: some swearing, sex and some violence
The wall in the bedroom was a wall you had seen probably a thousand times now, but for some reason when we are daydreaming, we stare at the wall like we’ve never seen it before.
This was no exception as your boyfriend got ready in the bathroom, having showered and taken ages to get ready.
‘How’s my outfit?’ Roy said as he walked in the room, you smiled as you looked at him.
‘Lovely’ you winked, Roy furrowing his brows a little.
‘You sure?’ Roy asked for reassurance, you nodded as you chuckled.
‘Baby, you look fine’
‘I don’t wanna look fine, I want to look great’ Roy huffed, about to go to the dresser to get some clothes.
You stood and grabbed his hand, getting his attention.
‘Baby, you look good no matter what you wear’ you kiss Roy.
Roy is taller than you by inches as well as older than you, by a couple of years. Sometimes though, it is like you’re the older one. Roy is the alpha when it counts.
‘Ok, you’ve convinced me’ Roy laughs, kissing you back. Rubbing a hand down your backside while the other holds the back of your head.
The kiss gets deep as you begin to pull at the collar of Roy’s shirt, him laughing into the kiss.
‘Fuck’ you exhale, Roy going down to bite a little at your neck.
Roy has a way with his words but he tends to let his actions speak louder, sometimes his actions scream what he wants.
There has been times when Roy has had a rough night on patrol, he climbs into bed with you and just holds you. His actions screaming that he just wants someone to hold him and let him know that he’s loved.
Other times, Roy has just grabbed hold of you and thrown you around like a rag doll, violently making out with you. His actions being that he just wants some fast action.
That all being said, no matter what Roy’s actions are he always gets his way. You give him exactly what he wants.
‘Baby, Jason won’t be happy if we’re late’ you say as Roy begins to try and take off your sweater.
Roy pouts a little as he looks at the red mark showing on your neck.
‘Oops, you might want to cover that’ Roy says, laughing as he holds you by the jaw and turns your head. Observing his handy work, or rather mouthy.
‘It’s cool, I’ll just put makeup on it’ smiling as you pull out some supplies, you always have to hand for these moments.
Roy likes it rough and does not hesitate to show you off as his, in anyway he can.
Driving with Roy is always fun as he has a romantic song playing, or some other type of love-song. Hand on your thigh, while he smiles to himself.
‘You ok Princess?’ He asks you, smiling slyly as you roll your eyes.
‘Yes’
Roy calls you ‘Princess’ when he drives as you are always his passenger, passenger Princess. He finds it funny, you find it annoying but sweet.
Roy is not one for nicknames as he would rather call you by your name, but on occasion he does use a funny nickname for you.
‘Hey’ Jason cheered as you and Roy walked in the door, rushing over and hugging you both.
You hug Jason tightly as he rocks you a little, Roy laughing.
‘How was the drive?’ Jason asked as he lead you both into the kitchen.
‘Great, this is a nice place Jay’ Roy smiled, holding your hand. Jason nodded while smiling.
‘Thanks. The old man suggested I upsize as that apartment was too small’ chuckling, Jason hands you both a beer.
Social gatherings had got a lot better and a lot less awkward, as you know all of Roy’s friends and he knows all of yours.
Jason was introduced to you about 6 years ago, he introduced you to his best friend Roy a couple years after that. Then the rest, as they say is history.
Roy asked you out after talking to you for an hour, you did not hesitate with a yes. Jason was so happy when he found out that Roy finally had a boyfriend.
‘You need a boyfriend bud, really. Y/n is such a great guy, he’s funny and smart’ Jason smiled, hugging his best friend tight.
It seemed like time had sped by so fast since then, as you and Roy were already saving for a house.
Jason’s house warming was getting more lively now, as people started doing shots. Roy joining in, you being the self-assigned driver home you decided to skip the drinking this time. So you and Roy would get home in one piece.
That you did, and Roy regretted the amount of shots he did, though the exact number was not known.
‘Here’s some water for that head’ you handed Roy some painkillers. Roy gulping them and the water down.
‘Thanks babe, I think my liver has left’ Roy sighed, laying back down on the bed. You chuckling.
‘This is why I didn’t drink, but I’m glad you had fun’ you leant down and kissed Roy’s bare shoulder.
You aided your self-inflicted hungover boyfriend for the day, reminding him he had patrol that night. Which he would need to get rest beforehand for. It was a big one tonight.
Arsenal had no issues with enemies tonight as they were all going down, his patrol going real smooth.
He roared after thugs and had no issues handing out discipline, one thug tried to slash him up with a knife, but Roy was quick on his feet.
‘Not tonight’ he growled as he grabbed his hand, twisting till he heard a snap. The guys wrist snapped easily.
Arsenal was a brutal force on particular tonight, with no problem scoring a scream of pain from the enemy.
Roy strolled into the front door of his shared apartment with you, not quite tired yet, at least not enough to go to sleep. Of course, you weren’t asleep yet. Still in the habit of waiting up.
‘Hey, sexy man’ Roy smirked as he approached you, shoving his lips on yours.
You accepted, standing up onto your feet as you grabbed at Roy’s arms. Him grabbing and holding your face.
Roy backed you into the doorway as he buried his face into your neck, sinking his teeth into you like Dracula. His teeth bit down, surely to leave a mark the next day.
You wrapped your legs around Roy’s waist as he carried you over to the bedroom. Throwing you in the bed, Roy practically tore your underwear off as he took your shaft into his mouth.
‘Oh God’ you breathed out as Roy began to work on you, like if he stopped you would simply vanish.
Roy took you all into his mouth as he worked while you moaned, breathing out his name.
‘Roy, oh God I love it, Roy’
Roy slapped your bare ass as he grabbed your arm, rolling you onto your stomach. Now sinking his mouth onto your asshole.
There wasn’t a part of your body Roy hadn’t kissed, licked or bitten. He had marked you as his as Roy got on his back. Letting you do the same to him.
You pulled Roy’s underwear down as you took in his length, your mouth was filled with Roy’s throbbing dick.
Roy was quite large in the genital department so he always allowed you to take your time, the Red Headed man lay back and enjoyed while you did your thing.
‘Y/n’ Roy breathed out, you lifted your head as you locked the head of his penis.
‘You look so good’ Roy smiled, you smiled back as you got on your knees, lowering yourself on Roy’s shaft.
Sliding it in you gasped as it always amazed you how good Roy felt, you lifted up and slid back down slowly a few times. Roy throwing his head back, he sat up as he began to bite at your collarbone and shoulder.
You bounced more and more as the feeling of Roy inside you filled you up, Roy’s lips met yours in a heated kiss.
‘I’m gonna fuck you so hard’ Roy breathed out as he wrapped his arms around your waist and rolled over, you now on your back with your legs up. Roy on his knees, he began to slam into you.
‘Fuck, fuck’ you called out as Roy slammed harder and harder, sweat dripping down him as you ran a hand down his abs.
Roy dug his fingers into your thighs as he grunted louder, you throwing your head back. Rubbing yourself.
You heard Roy clapping against you as he got quicker, him almost losing his breath as his body tingled.
‘Right there, I’m coming’ you said, jerking yourself faster and releasing yourself all over your chest.
‘Shit’ Roy said as he watched as you came, Roy put his hand around your throat as he slammed a little harder.
‘Oh god’ Roy breathed out as he slammed slower and deeper, releasing his hot seed inside you.
Roy pulled out as jerked what was left onto your chest, mixing his seed with yours. Collapsing on top of you, you wrapped your arms around his neck as Roy caught his breath.
He buried his face into your neck as he breathed, you ran your fingers through his red hair, smiling out of satisfaction.
‘How was patrol?’ You finally asked as Roy chuckled, his body shook on top of you. Lifting his head up to look at you.
‘Was great, as you can tell’ he smiled, kissing you again.
‘Wanna go again?’ You asked, Roy nodding eagerly as he began to kiss you again.
The next day was filled with shopping, cleaning and cooking together. Today was a particularly hot day.
Roy wore his trusted green shorts and short sleeved jumpsuit, which never failed to keep him cool. Plus you didn’t complain as he has great legs, plus it only buttoned halfway up, showing his broad chest.
You both walked through the streets of Gotham holding hands, talking about different topics. Mostly debating on whether to watch a movie later. Roy opting for an action while you opted for horror.
Roy always made you feel safe, no matter the situation and no matter the outcome. You were safe with him, Roy loved hard and what you could never fault him on was that he always showed you.
‘Wanna go Jason’s later?’ He asked you, you nodding as you both walked into the air conditioned store.
Roy slapping your ass as you pushed the cart in front of him, kissing you on the cheek every now and then.
Sure you two got looks from people every now and then, but neither of you cared.
The day came to an end, with you and Roy laying in bed together as he read while you rested your head on his chest. Feeling his chest going up and down, while you fell into a peaceful sleep.
Roy kissed your head and gently rested you on your pillow, rolling over and turning the lamp off. Roy rolled back over and wrapped his arm around your waist, burying his face into your neck as he held you.
Both of you drifted into a deep sleep while you remained holding each other all night. Peacefully and in love.

DP x DC x GB Story Idea
Gotham has had its fair share of crime in the city, but few know of its troubles with supernatural forces… except for the Bat Family. While they usually handle the League of Assassins and others who dabble in magic, it’s not long before Bruce hears word that a new paranormal group pops up called the Ghostbusters. At first, it appears that the Ghostbusters are a bunch of con artists, before the BatFam and League of Assassins find themselves facing the Ghostbusters. It’s only when Red Hood notices the Ghostbuster in black, with white trimming. On it, is the name tag “Fenton”. Something about Danny makes his soul stir.
“Members of the League of Assassins, I hearby demand by the powers vested in me by the Gotham City Police Department, the Gotham City Historical Society, the EPA, and even both the Justice League and JL Dark, to depart from this or any other reality, at once.” the grey-ish tan jumpsuit wearing Ghostbuster said. He re-adjusted his glasses before looking at the Head of the League of Assassins, Ra’s Al Guul. “Fools, all of you are fools. First the Bats, now these hacks.” The one with glasses looked offended. As the assassins started to surround them, the five of them moved back to each other, forming a tight circle, facing them.
“Alright guys, Alpha 47-B!” he said, as they all powered up. The female briefly glanced at the one with glasses, “I thought we were gonna name it something clever.” “Sure, but you try coming up with a name that doesn’t telegraph to the villains.” he replied. As they surrounded them, Ra’s smiled at them, no sneered at them. “I don’t know what you were expecting, but this’ll be the-“
“THROW EM’!” glasses exclaimed. The five of them threw the energy from the strange gun-like devices. While it wouldn’t exactly do damage to normal people. Those within the League were affected enough to quickly retreat, including Ra’s Al Guul, who didn’t expect this. “You should’ve listened,” the one known as Fenton said, “We did warn you.”
Ra’s disappeared before it got worse. After all of that, they deactivated the device before they looked around. “So what do we do?” Fenton asked, as glasses re-adjusted his glasses again. With a smile, he brushed something off his name tag that had the word “Smith” on it. “Simple Fenton,” he started looking around, “We need to find the source of their ectoplasm and deactivate it.” “But where is it?” the female with the short haircut said, whose name tag was “Bazaar”. Smith shrugged, “Unless someone knows what the League uses to re-animate their assassins. Like the Batman!” he exclaimed, quickly looking around for them, only to be met with silence, and slight bouts of darkness.
The young man who looked Winston, but younger, had the name tag “Zeddimore”. “Hey man,” he said patting Smith on the back, “the Batman is just a myth, nothing more.” “Oh yeah, then who has defeated the League of Assassins?” Before Zeddimore could answer, there was a cough, like someone clearing their throat. The five of them turned towards the now visible Batfamily.
Smith was the first to speak, “Ok, um hi. Sorry to bother you sir, but you wouldn’t happen to notice a place where there is tainted ectoplasm?” Batman just raised an eyebrow at them, to which Smith continued, “Well, while it does have re-animation properties, most tainted ectoplasm tends to cause bouts of anger, a inhuman savagery, and other weird side effects.” Immediately, all of the BatFam turned towards the Red Hood. Smith looked at him, then pulled out an unusual device. Smith got close, the pointed the device at him, which whirred and blinked, and the arms raised to the full position.
“Well, that’s different.” Smith said, looking at the PKE Meter.

How would you do Batman, I'm just wondering because Batman's my favorite character
OH HO HO!! I HAVE WRITTEN SO MUCH ABOUT BATMAN!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
*ahem*
His show is called BATMAN: GOTHAM FILES, and I have the basic outline for each and every one of the seasons! There’s 9 total, plus a movie finale. Here we go!
SEASON ONE:
Most of us should know basically what Bruce’s backstory is, so I’ll keep this part brief. Bruce Wayne was eight years old when his millionaire mother and father were gunned down in front of him in an alleyway in Gotham City. They never found the killer. The family’s loyal butler, Alfred Pennyworth, took care of Bruce from that point onward. Bruce started taking self-defence classes in-between going to the schwanky Gotham Academy and learning how to run his father’s business, Wayne Enterprises (a massive conglomerate that was famous throughout all of America, but especially the East Coast.) The young man had hardly healed from his traumatic experience, though, and after graduating college (something he was practically forced to do by Alfred), he decided not to stay in Gotham. He hated the city. Instead, he took off in a plane… and secretly never intended to come back…
EIGHT YEARS LATER…
It was a welcome surprise when Bruce Wayne turned up in Gotham, seemingly in a much happier headspace and eager to finally, finally take his father’s business seriously. The Prince of Gotham had returned. Months after that, there was a new legend lurking in the streets of the city. Something called “the batman” or “the bat.” Criminals were getting caught and arrested left and right, and half of them were scared out of their minds about this spectre. The police force didn’t know what to make of it… except for one Captain Jim Gordon. He knew that the legend was true… and occasionally, he would sneak into his office and scare the living daylights out of him. He and Batman had been working together for a little while now, (we get an episode later that explores how they first met), but Gordon doesn’t know who he really is under the mask, and no one else in the force thinks that Batman is even real. But Gordon is eager to help him because the police force is falling apart. They’re completely unable to do their job and keep the streets safe, so Gordon agrees to help Batman stop crime in its tracks. He wants to make Gotham safer for his wife and daughter.
Shocking literally no one, the audience discovers that Bruce Wayne is Batman, working out of a massive secret base underneath Wayne Manor—his ancestral home. But, he must balance the life of a vigilante with the life of billionaire Bruce Wayne, which can be difficult at times. We get several episodes just laying the ground work. Who runs the company when Bruce isn’t around? Lucious Fox. Who manages Bruce’s affairs and schedule? Alfred. Who makes all the gadgets and gear that Batman uses? He does. Using plenty of materials and goods he can buy since he’s a billionaire. When did he learn how to make all this stuff? Hmmmmmm….
We meet our first few villains—Penguin, Two-Face, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, Riddler, etc—Batman is still trying to track down who murdered his parents, and we’re having a generally good time until THE MID SEASON FINALE. You see, there’s a circus coming to town.
Haley’s Traveling Circus was famous on the East Coast, being one of the oldest circuses in the country, as well as boasting the Fabulous Flying Graysons! A family trapeze act! However, this smiling troop of clowns was actually hiding some pretty dark secrets. When they arrived in Gotham City, they were asked to help out known mob-boss Tony Zucco with some… not-so-nice things. John Grayson, head of the Flying Graysons, had been feeling conflicted about how much behind-the-scenes shady dealings the circus had been involved with over the years. So, he thought that maybe if he just let the tiniest bit of evidence leak to the police, maybe they could handle everything and the Graysons wouldn’t be caught in the cross fire. This is what brings Batman to the scene. He investigates the circus, meets the Graysons, including their son, Richard, aka Dick, and eventually goes on to solve the mysterious crime, pinning it on Tony Zucco and getting certain members of Haley’s Circus arrested. (The ones actually involved in the crime.) However, Zucco manages to avoid jail time. Not only that, but he discovers who snitched on him. That night, after the case has been solved and Bruce shows up to catch the Flying Graysons perform, everything is going great until the unthinkable happens: the lines on the trapeze snap and Mr. and Mrs. Grayson go falling to their deaths.
Dick Grayson is an orphan… and he’s angry. He’s about 11 years old, but he’s smart enough to know what’s going on. He knows why Batman was coming around asking questions, he knows who Tony Zucco is, and he knows that his father made him very unhappy. After the police have arrived, but before social services do, Dick sneaks out and climbs to the top of the building with the Bat-Signal on it (yes, by this point in the story, that’s a thing). He flashes it on and off, rain pelting down, until the caped crusader arrives. He demands to know if this was Zucco’s fault. Batman refuses to say anything, but Dick doesn’t care. He says he’s going to make Zucco pay, whether Batman helps or not, and he tries his hardest to remain true to his word. After that night, Dick runs off through Gotham several times, trying to get in touch with Zucco and attempting to enact revenge, meanwhile Batman has to keep swooping in to keep the kid from getting himself killed. He recognises the pain he’s in—he completely understands his anger—and realises that he needs a teacher—a mentor—a father figure who can lead him through all of this and keep him out of trouble. So, as Bruce Wayne, he decides to adopt Dick. At first, Dick doesn’t want anything to do with this stranger—he’d rather stay with his circus family if he’s going to stay with anyone—but then, in court one day, Bruce says something—something only Batman said to him once—and all of a sudden, it clicks in Dick’s mind. He instantly asks to be placed in Bruce’s care and not a few hours after arriving at Wayne Manor, Dick manages to discover where the Batcave entrance is. Sneaking down there, he plans to become his own kind of vigilante, just like Batman, and get revenge… until Bruce catches him and tries to knock some sense into him.
It’s here that Bruce has to confront his own past. His sense and reason are saying, “Don’t let the kid try to enact revenge!” But then, he has to ask himself, “why am I still hunting down the man who killed my parents?” He has to tell himself, “it can’t be about revenge. Only what is just and fair.” When/if he finds the killer, he will turn him over to the authorities and let him face proper punishment. Zucco… he’s too powerful. There needs to be a lot of incriminating evidence against him before the police can take action, and even then, that’s not what Dick wants. Dick wants Zucco gone. Permanently. THAT is what needs to be dealt with inside of Dick. Bruce refuses to let this boy make himself a killer. Instead, he decides to channel that anger and drive into training him. You see, when Bruce vanished for eight years, it was during that time that he met many teachers and learned many new skills. Through bettering himself and learning these skills, he felt he had grown as a person and had worked through some of his emotions. It was therapeutic. He hopes it will be the same for Dick. He also teaches him about the justice system and detective work so that they can bring down Tony Zucco WITHOUT killing him. Little by little, over the course of the next year, Dick starts to turn into the infamous side-kick Robin, following Batman on small cases and learning about fighting crime… from a distance. (Mostly.) Dick does have a knack for getting into trouble.
On the personal side of things, Dick still needs to adjust to living in Wayne Manor, going to a new school (Gotham Academy) navigating being a wealthy, famous person’s adopted son, etc etc. And then… Ra’s Al Ghul shows up. Now it’s time for Bruce’s past to be revealed. He had traveled the world, and he did have many teachers, but none quite as legendary as the Demon’s Head, leader of the League of Shadows. A secret organisation (cult, really, Bruce later realised) that had mastered martial arts, ninjutsu, and so much more. Each member was a peak specimen of the human race, with no genetic weaknesses or flaws, especially their leader, Ra’s. Bruce had been one of his top students, but then he had revealed his grande scheme for the world. Ra’s wanted to wipe out the rest of humanity (which he deemed as impure and flawed) and then the only people who would be left to inherit the Earth would be his perfect family and his perfect followers! All he was missing was a male heir to his throne. His daughter, Talia, most perfect of his children, had fallen in love with Bruce during his time in the Shadows, but before anything serious could come of it, Bruce had snuck out and left the League, meaning never to come back. Now, though, Ra’s had found him and wanted him to marry his daughter. Bruce refuses. Ra’s tries to take him by force, Robin helps save the day, it’s a big exciting grand finale to the season, and it ends with Ra’s and Talia retreating… because while Bruce was captured, they managed to steal some… “DNA”… and test tube baby Damian would be thus conceived, unbeknownst to Batman and Robin.
(Like, he’s a test tube baby from conception. Talia was never physically pregnant with him.)
Anyway, things are looking up for our main characters. They saved the city, they saved each other, they’re working on their personal growth, and everyone is excited to see Season 2 because—
JOKER TEASE!!!! DUN DUN DUN!!!!
I’mma make more posts, this is a long one, strap in…
I also have a sketch of Talia…

And introducing @smallzster as Chimera
The cold, sterile room buzzed with an undercurrent of malevolent energy. Batman, the Dark Knight of Gotham, found himself strapped to a chair, his utility belt gone, surrounded by an array of ominous machinery. Before him stood Ms. Racey Rhymes, her eyes gleaming with a manic intensity that sent chills down his spine.
"Welcome to the grand stage, my caped muse," Ms. Rhymes purred, her voice a discordant melody. "Are you ready for your starring role?"
Batman's jaw clenched, his eyes narrowing behind his cowl. "Whatever you're planning, Rhymes, it won't work. Gotham has faced worse than you."
A giggle escaped Ms. Rhymes' painted lips. "Oh, my dear Dark Knight, you misunderstand. I'm not here to face Gotham. I'm here to remake it. And you, my brooding bat, will be my masterpiece."
She snapped her fingers, and a figure emerged from the shadows. Tall and lithe, with features that seemed to shift between masculine and feminine, the newcomer exuded an aura of calculated menace.
"Allow me to introduce my collaborator," Ms. Rhymes said, her voice dripping with false sweetness. "The Chimera. A true artist of the mind."
The Chimera stepped forward, their face hidden behind a mask that seemed to morph and change with each passing moment. When they spoke, their voice was a disorienting blend of tones and pitches.
"Hello, Batman. I've been looking forward to our session."
Batman's mind raced, trying to place this new threat. "You're one of Crane's students," he growled. "I remember the files. You disappeared years ago."
The Chimera tilted their head, the gesture unnervingly birdlike. "Very good, Detective. But Dr. Crane was merely the beginning of my journey. Now, I'm something... more."
Ms. Rhymes clapped her hands together in delight. "Enough chitchat! Let the performance begin!"
The Chimera moved to a control panel, their fingers dancing across the keys. Suddenly, a fine mist began to fill the room, and Batman felt his senses beginning to blur.
"What... what is this?" he gasped, fighting against the rising tide of disorientation.
"Consider it a cocktail of my own design," The Chimera replied, their voice seeming to come from everywhere at once. "Fear toxin, mixed with a dash of hallucinogens and a sprinkle of my own special additions. We're going to peel back those layers of sanity, Batman. One by one."
As the mist thickened, Batman's vision began to swim. The room around him warped and twisted, melting away into a nightmarish landscape. The last thing he heard before succumbing to the hallucinations was Ms. Rhymes' singsong voice:
"In shadows deep and madness vast,
Gotham's hero breathes his last.
A mind once strong, now torn apart,
Welcome, Batman, to your new start."
* * *
Across town, in an abandoned warehouse that served as their temporary base, Hannah, Sarah, and their unlikely ally Revan – now revealed as Samantha Faith – pored over maps and documents.
"We've checked every known hideout," Hannah said, frustration evident in her voice. "Where could Rhymes be keeping him?"
Sarah placed a comforting hand on her partner's shoulder. "We'll find him, Han. We have to."
Samantha, her mask off but still cutting an imposing figure, studied the map intently. "Rhymes is theatrical. She'll want a stage for her 'performance.' Somewhere significant."
"Like what?" Sarah asked, her brow furrowed.
"Wait," Hannah said, her eyes widening. "What about Arkham, not the new one? The old asylum's been abandoned for years. It's perfect – isolated, symbolic..."
Samantha nodded slowly. "And with a history of madness. It fits Rhymes' MO."
As they began to plan their assault on Arkham, Sarah couldn't help but voice the question that had been nagging at her. "Samantha... why are you helping us? You were working for Rhymes."
Samantha's eyes hardened. "I was hired to do a job. To test Batman, to challenge him. Not... this. There's no honor in breaking a warrior's mind."
Hannah studied the woman before her. "And the whole Revan persona? The baseball bat?"
A small smile tugged at Samantha's lips. "Every warrior needs their weapon. And sometimes, the best disguise is one that plays into people's expectations."
As the trio finalized their plans, the air was thick with tension. They all knew that time was running out for Batman – and for Gotham.
* * *
In the depths of his toxin-induced nightmare, Batman found himself in a twisted version of Gotham. The sky above was a sickly green, and the buildings seemed to breathe and pulse with malevolent life.
"Well, well, well," a familiar voice cackled. "Look who's come to play!"
Batman spun around to find himself face to face with the Joker, his grin wider and more manic than ever.
"You're not real," Batman growled, his fists clenching. "This is all in my head."
The Joker's laughter echoed off the writhing buildings. "Oh, Batsy! Don't you know? The stuff in our heads is the realest thing there is! Now come on, let's have some fun!"
Suddenly, Batman was surrounded by a horde of grinning, laughing maniacs, all wearing the Joker's face. As he fought them off, each punch seemed to make two more appear.
"You can't win this one, Batman," the Joker taunted. "Why not join us? Think of the laughs we could have together!"
Batman gritted his teeth, fighting against the rising tide of chaos. "Never," he snarled. "I'll never become like you."
But even as he said it, a small voice in the back of his mind whispered, "Are you so sure?"
* * *
Back in the real world, The Chimera monitored Batman's vital signs with clinical detachment. "Fascinating," they murmured. "His mental resilience is truly remarkable."
Ms. Rhymes peered at the screens, her eyes glittering with malicious glee. "But he's cracking, isn't he? I can almost hear the fissures forming in that rigid psyche of his."
The Chimera nodded slowly. "Yes, but we must be cautious. Push too hard, too fast, and his mind might shatter completely. We want to remake him, not destroy him utterly."
Ms. Rhymes waved a dismissive hand. "Details, details. Just keep pushing, my dear Chimera. I want to see what lurks in the deepest, darkest corners of the Bat's mind."
As they spoke, neither noticed the small drone hovering outside the window, its camera capturing every moment of their sinister collaboration.
* * *
Hannah, Sarah, and Samantha crouched in the shadows outside the old Arkham Asylum, their eyes fixed on the crumbling structure before them.
"I'm picking up heat signatures on the top floor," Hannah whispered, consulting a handheld device. "Looks like that's where they're keeping him."
Sarah nodded, her grip tightening on her escrima sticks. "So what's the plan? We can't just burst in there. Who knows what they've done to Batman's mind by now."
Samantha's eyes narrowed behind her mask. "We need a distraction. Something to draw their attention while we extract Batman."
Hannah's lips curled into a grim smile. "I think I have just the thing. But you're not going to like it."
As she outlined her plan, Sarah and Samantha exchanged worried glances. It was risky, borderline insane. But then again, in a city like Gotham, sometimes insanity was the only sane response.
* * *
Deep in the labyrinth of his own mind, Batman stumbled through a nightmare version of Crime Alley. The walls seemed to weep blood, and every shadow held a pair of gleaming, malevolent eyes.
"Why do you keep fighting, Bruce?" a voice whispered on the wind. Batman turned to see his parents standing before him, their forms flickering like old film.
"Mom? Dad?" he croaked, his voice breaking.
Thomas Wayne's face twisted into a sneer. "You've failed us, son. Failed Gotham. Look around you – the city is as dark and corrupt as ever."
"No," Batman protested, shaking his head. "I've made a difference. I've saved lives."
Martha Wayne's laugh was cold and cruel. "Saved lives? Oh, Bruce. How many have died because of your crusade? How many have suffered because you refuse to do what's necessary?"
As his parents' accusations rained down upon him, Batman felt something inside him begin to crack. A small part of his mind screamed that this wasn't real, that it was all a toxin-induced nightmare. But the doubt, the guilt, the fear – it all felt so terribly, painfully real.
* * *
In the control room, The Chimera's eyes widened as they studied the readouts. "Remarkable," they breathed. "He's accessing trauma so deeply buried, I doubt even he was fully aware of it."
Ms. Rhymes leaned in close, her breath hot on The Chimera's neck. "And what do we do with all this delicious trauma, my dear?"
The Chimera's fingers danced across the controls. "We amplify it. We twist it. And then, when he's at his most vulnerable, we offer him a way out. A new identity, free from all that pain and guilt."
Ms. Rhymes' grin was positively feral. "A new Clown Prince of Crime. Oh, I do love poetry in motion."
Suddenly, alarms began to blare throughout the asylum. The Chimera's head snapped up, their eyes narrowing. "We have intruders."
Ms. Rhymes' face darkened. "Deal with them. I don't care how. Just make sure our performance isn't interrupted."
As The Chimera hurried from the room, Ms. Rhymes turned back to the monitors, her eyes fixed on Batman's twisting form. "It's just you and me now, my dark muse. Let's see what other horrors we can conjure up, shall we?"
* * *
Outside Arkham, chaos reigned. Hannah's "distraction" had taken the form of a series of explosions around the perimeter of the asylum, each one timed to draw attention away from their true goal.
As Rhymes' goons scrambled to respond to the perceived attack, Samantha, Sarah, and Hannah slipped inside through a service entrance.
"Remember," Samantha whispered as they made their way through the asylum's twisted corridors, "we don't know what state Batman will be in when we find him. Be prepared for anything."
Sarah nodded grimly. "Let's just hope we're not too late."
As they ascended to the upper floors, the sounds of conflict echoed through the building. Hannah's lips curved into a small smile. "Sounds like our diversion is working."
Suddenly, a figure stepped out of the shadows before them. The Chimera, their mask seeming to ripple in the dim light.
"Well," The Chimera said, their voice a disorienting blend of tones, "it seems we have some uninvited guests. How... intriguing."
Samantha stepped forward, her baseball bat held at the ready. "Stand aside. We're here for Batman."
The Chimera tilted their head, the gesture unnervingly birdlike. "I'm afraid I can't allow that. You see, we're in the middle of a very delicate procedure. Any interruption could be... catastrophic."
Without warning, The Chimera lashed out, a spray of some unknown substance erupting from their sleeve. Samantha managed to dodge, but Hannah and Sarah weren't as lucky. As the mist enveloped them, their eyes widened in horror.
"Run!" Samantha shouted, charging at The Chimera. "I'll hold them off! Find Batman!"
As Samantha engaged The Chimera in a fierce battle, Hannah and Sarah stumbled away, their minds already beginning to cloud with hallucinations.
"We have to... have to keep going," Hannah gasped, her vision swimming. "Batman... we need to..."
Sarah gripped her partner's hand tightly. "Together," she said firmly. "Whatever happens, we face it together."
As they staggered down the corridor, the walls seemed to breathe and pulse around them, The Chimera's toxin taking full effect. But still, they pressed on, driven by a determination that ran deeper than any fear.
* * *
In the depths of his fractured psyche, Batman found himself standing atop Wayne Tower, the city spread out before him like a diseased corpse. The sky above was a roiling mass of green and purple, punctuated by flashes of sickly lightning.
"It's quite a view, isn't it?" a voice said from behind him. Batman turned to see the Joker standing there, but this time, the clown's face was a perfect mirror of his own.
"What... what is this?" Batman growled, his voice hoarse.
The Joker-Batman grinned, the expression grotesque on the familiar features. "This is liberation, Brucie! This is what happens when you finally let go of all that guilt, all that responsibility. When you embrace the joke that is existence!"
Batman shook his head, trying to clear the fog from his mind. "No. This isn't real. I would never..."
"Oh, but you would," the Joker-Batman cackled. "You will! Think about it – how many times have you been one bad day away from becoming just like the monsters you fight? How thin is that line you walk?"
As the Joker-Batman's words washed over him, Batman felt something deep inside beginning to give way. The weight of his mission, the endless parade of tragedy and horror he'd witnessed – it all came crashing down at once.
And for the first time in as long as he could remember, Batman began to laugh.
* * *
In the control room, Ms. Rhymes watched the monitors with growing excitement. "Yes!" she crowed. "Yes, that's it! Laugh, my dark knight! Embrace the madness!"
She was so engrossed in the spectacle before her that she didn't notice the door opening behind her. Hannah and Sarah, their minds still reeling from The Chimera's toxin, stumbled into the room.
"Stop... stop this," Hannah gasped, her voice barely above a whisper.
Ms. Rhymes spun around, her eyes widening in surprise before narrowing in anger. "You! How did you get past The Chimera?"
Sarah raised her escrima sticks, though her hands shook with the effort. "It doesn't matter. We're here to stop you."
A cruel smile spread across Ms. Rhymes' face. "Oh, my dears. You're far too late for that. Batman is already falling. Soon, he'll be reborn as Gotham's new agent of chaos. And there's nothing you can do to stop it."
As if to punctuate her words, Batman's laughter echoed through the room, growing louder and more unhinged with each passing moment.
Hannah and Sarah exchanged a desperate look. They were running out of time.
* * *
In the corridor outside, Samantha and The Chimera continued their fierce battle. The Chimera's fighting style was a disorienting blend of techniques, their body seeming to flow like water around Samantha's attacks.
"You're good," The Chimera said, their voice a mix of admiration and malice. "But you're fighting for the wrong side. Can't you see the beauty in what we're creating?"
Samantha's eyes narrowed behind her mask. "There's no beauty in breaking a warrior's mind. Only cowardice."
The Chimera laughed, the sound echoing off the asylum's walls. "Oh, my dear. We're not breaking his mind. We're setting it free!"
As they fought, the sounds of Batman's laughter grew louder, more manic. Samantha felt a chill run down her spine. They were running out of time.
* * *
In the twisted landscape of his mind, Batman stood on the edge of Wayne Tower, teetering between sanity and madness. The Joker-Batman stood beside him, arm draped over his shoulders like an old friend.
"Come on, Brucie," the Joker-Batman cajoled. "One little step. That's all it takes. One step, and all the pain, all the responsibility – it all goes away. Isn't that what you've always wanted?"
Batman looked out over the nightmare version of Gotham, his mind a whirlwind of conflicting thoughts and emotions. Part of him knew this wasn't real, that it was all a toxin-induced hallucination. But another part, a part that had been buried deep for so long, whispered that maybe, just maybe, this was the answer he'd been looking for all along.
*****
Batman stood on the precipice, both literally and figuratively. The Joker-Batman's words echoed in his mind, a siren song of chaos and release. For a moment that seemed to stretch into eternity, he teetered on the edge.
Then, with a laugh that started low and grew into a manic cackle, Batman stepped off the ledge.
As he fell through the nightmare cityscape, his laughter echoed off the twisted buildings. The world around him began to blur and shift, colors swirling together in a dizzying kaleidoscope of madness.
* * *
In the control room, Ms. Rhymes watched the monitors with growing excitement. "Yes!" she crowed. "Yes, that's it! Fall, my dark knight! Fall into the abyss of chaos!"
Hannah and Sarah, still fighting against the effects of The Chimera's toxin, struggled to make sense of what they were seeing.
"We have to... have to stop this," Hannah gasped, her vision swimming.
Sarah reached out, gripping her partner's hand tightly. "How? We can barely stand..."
Ms. Rhymes turned to them, her eyes glittering with malicious glee. "Oh, my dears. You can't stop this. You're witnessing the birth of a new era for Gotham. The fall of its greatest hero... and the rise of its most terrifying villain!"
* * *
Outside in the corridor, Samantha and The Chimera's battle had reached a fever pitch. Both combatants were showing signs of fatigue, but neither was willing to give an inch.
"You're fighting a losing battle," The Chimera panted, their mask seeming to ripple with each breath. "Even if you defeat me, you can't undo what's been done to Batman's mind."
Samantha's eyes narrowed behind her mask. "Maybe not. But I can make sure you pay for what you've done."
With a burst of speed, Samantha feinted left, then brought her baseball bat around in a vicious arc. The Chimera, caught off guard, couldn't dodge in time. The bat connected with their mask with a sickening crunch.
The Chimera stumbled back, their mask cracking and falling away in pieces. As it did, Samantha's eyes widened in shock.
"You... you're..."
But before she could finish, The Chimera lashed out with a hidden blade, forcing Samantha back. Taking advantage of her momentary surprise, they turned and fled down the corridor.
Samantha hesitated for a moment, torn between pursuit and the need to help Batman. With a growl of frustration, she turned towards the control room. Batman had to be the priority.
* * *
In the swirling vortex of his mind, Batman continued to fall. As he did, he felt his very identity begin to unravel. Memories flashed before his eyes – his parents' murder, his years of training, his countless battles to protect Gotham. But now, each memory was tinged with a manic hilarity, as if every tragedy in his life had suddenly become the punchline to some cosmic joke.
"That's it, Brucie!" the Joker-Batman's voice echoed around him. "Let it all go! Embrace the madness!"
As he fell deeper into the abyss of his own psyche, Batman felt something fundamental shifting within him. The rigid moral code that had defined him for so long began to crack and splinter.
And still, he laughed.
* * *
In the control room, the tension had reached a breaking point. Ms. Rhymes stood before the monitors, her arms spread wide as if conducting some twisted symphony. Hannah and Sarah, still reeling from The Chimera's toxin, struggled to formulate a plan.
Suddenly, the door burst open, and Samantha charged in, her baseball bat at the ready.
"Step away from the controls," she growled.
Ms. Rhymes spun around, her eyes widening in surprise before narrowing in anger. "Revan... or should I say, Samantha? I must admit, I'm disappointed. I thought you understood the beauty of what we're creating here."
Samantha's grip tightened on her bat. "There's no beauty in this. Only madness and pain."
As they faced off, the room filled with the sound of Batman's laughter, growing louder and more unhinged with each passing moment.
Hannah, fighting through the haze of the toxin, stumbled towards the controls. "We have to... have to shut it down..."
But before she could reach them, Ms. Rhymes pulled out a small remote. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "One push of this button, and Batman's mind is wiped clean. Everything he was, everything he believed in – gone in an instant."
The room froze, the tension palpable. Samantha's eyes darted between Ms. Rhymes and the monitors showing Batman's writhing form. Sarah, supporting a still-woozy Hannah, glared at the madwoman before them.
"What do you want?" Samantha asked, her voice tight.
Ms. Rhymes' smile was all teeth. "Want? My dear, I want what I've always wanted. To show Gotham – to show the world – the true face of chaos. And what better way to do that than to turn its greatest protector into its worst nightmare?"
As she spoke, the monitors behind her flickered. Batman's laughter had reached a fever pitch, and suddenly, it cut off. The silence that followed was deafening.
All eyes turned to the screens. Batman's body had gone still, his face hidden in shadow.
"No," Sarah whispered, her eyes wide with horror.
Ms. Rhymes' grin widened. "Yes. Watch closely, my dears. You're about to witness the rebirth of a legend."
* * *
In the depths of his fractured psyche, Batman stood in a void. The swirling chaos around him had stilled, leaving him in a space of perfect, empty blackness.
"So," he said, his voice echoing in the emptiness, "this is madness."
The Joker-Batman appeared before him, but now, instead of a mirror image, it was a swirling, ever-changing figure – sometimes the Joker, sometimes Batman, sometimes a nightmarish blend of the two.
"Not madness, Brucie," it said, its voice a cacophony of laughter and growls. "Clarity. You've finally seen the joke that is existence. The futility of your crusade. The utter absurdity of it all."
Batman looked down at his hands, watching as his costume began to shift and change, colors bleeding and swirling.
"And now?" he asked, his voice utterly calm.
The figure before him grinned, the expression stretching beyond the limits of a human face. "Now, you become what you were always meant to be. Gotham's darkest knight. Its clown prince of crime. Its harbinger of beautiful, perfect chaos."
As the words washed over him, Batman felt the last vestiges of his old self falling away. In its place rose something new. Something terrifying. Something... free.
He threw back his head and laughed, the sound echoing through the void and beyond, into the world of the waking.
* * *
In the control room, all eyes were fixed on the monitors as Batman's body began to stir. Slowly, he sat up, his movements fluid and unnaturally graceful.
"No," Samantha breathed, her bat slipping from nerveless fingers. "What have you done?"
Ms. Rhymes' eyes gleamed with triumph. "I've given Gotham its new god of chaos. Behold, the birth of a legend!"
On the screen, Batman turned towards the camera. As his face came into view, a collective gasp filled the room. His cowl had split and peeled back, revealing a face that was a nightmarish blend of Batman and the Joker. His skin was pale, almost white, with streaks of black that mimicked the design of his cowl. His lips were stretched in a grin that was too wide, too full of teeth to be natural.
But it was his eyes that truly chilled the blood. They burned with a manic intensity, swirling with colors that shouldn't exist in nature.
When he spoke, his voice was a blend of Batman's gravelly growl and the Joker's high-pitched cackle. "Gotham," he said, his grin widening impossibly further, "your Dark Knight has fallen. But fear not – a new protector rises. One who understands that the only way to save this city... is to embrace the madness."
He stood, his costume rippling and changing. The blacks and greys bled into purples and greens, while still maintaining the silhouette of the Bat. The result was a terrifying fusion of Batman and the Joker, a creature of nightmare made flesh.
"The joke's on you, Gotham," he continued, spreading his arms wide. "You thought you needed a hero. But what you really need... is a little chaos."
With that, he threw back his head and laughed. It was a sound that contained multitudes – the deep, restrained chuckle of Bruce Wayne, the gravelly growl of Batman, the manic cackle of the Joker, and something else. Something new and terrifying.
In the control room, Ms. Rhymes drank in the sight with undisguised glee. "Beautiful," she breathed. "Absolutely beautiful."
Samantha, Hannah, and Sarah watched in horror, the full weight of their failure crashing down upon them. They had come to save Batman, to stop Ms. Rhymes' plan. Instead, they had witnessed the fall of Gotham's greatest hero and the birth of its most terrifying villain.
As the newly reborn Batman-Joker hybrid continued to laugh, his voice echoing through the asylum and beyond, a chill ran down the spines of all who heard it. For in that laugh was a promise – a promise of chaos, of madness, of a Gotham reshaped in the image of its fallen hero.
The Dark Knight had fallen. And in his place rose something far deadlier – a creature of shadow and laughter, of justice twisted into madness. Gotham's new Clown Prince of Crime had arrived.
And the city would never be the same again.
As the screens went dark, plunging the control room into shadows broken only by the eerie glow of emergency lights, Ms. Rhymes turned to her stunned audience, her eyes gleaming with triumphant madness.
"And so," she said, her voice dripping with malicious glee, "the curtain falls on this act of our grand performance. But fear not, my dears. The show is far from over. In fact..." Her grin widened, becoming something feral and terrifying. "It's only just beginning."
The asylum echoed with the sound of mad laughter – Ms. Rhymes', the newly reborn Batman's, and perhaps, most chillingly of all, the laughter of a city teetering on the brink of total chaos.
In the growing darkness, as the weight of their failure pressed down upon them, Samantha, Hannah, and Sarah exchanged grim looks. They had lost this battle, but the war for Gotham's soul was far from over.
The question now was: in a city without its Dark Knight, who would rise to face the coming storm?

Finally realised I haven’t actually posted this here… @thebibliosphere @justanotherhomelessromantic @theelitistpirate your post is a masterpiece and awakened the muses. I wrote this in one sitting and didn’t beta read so if you see any typos no you didn’t
Read on Ao3 here
Gotham is a cesspit of chaos. It’s full to the brim with criminals, covered in rapists and murderers, almost controlled by mobs and mafia, practically ran by the drug trade, and home to more masks than any other place in the world. In this case, the term ‘Mask’ includes one founding member of the Justice League, almost a dozen of his children, and more than a dozen villains.
Among these lawless people is one Amaury Guichon: the Chocolate Guy.
(It is notable that ‘chocolate guy’ is not the name he intended to go by, but that’s what people started calling him, and the name simply stuck.)
Contrary to what his name might suggest, he is not a cheerful chef that goes around handing treats to young children. He is a chef, and he can be cheerful, and he does occasionally give chocolate bars to people, but his intentions are far more sinister than spreading cheer and cavities.
Case in point: he is currently in an abandoned confectionary factory, preparing a vat of melted chocolate while his group of kidnapped socialites watch helplessly.
“What is this?” one of the socialites demands, struggling against the ropes tying her to a chair. She’s an older woman, with gray hair and a shimmering dress, and doesn’t actually seem all that scared. Years of living in Gotham as a member of the upper class must make her accustomed to being kidnapped.
“Ah, mon petit chou pourri, isn't it obvious?” Chocolate Guy lifts the comically large spatula he is using to stir the chocolate, letting the sickeningly sweet liquid drip down in ribbons. “It’s death by chocolate!”
“How, exactly, do you plan to kill us with chocolate?” another kidnappee, Bruce Wayne, asks dryly. He seemed utterly unconcerned, unimpressed even, by his imminent death. “Do you plan do drown us in it? That would be rather messy, and take a while. Heat it up and burn us? No, the chocolate would burn, and that wouldn’t kill us—“
“The circumstance of your death is no matter to you!” Chocolate Guy shrieked. “Je vais te tuer! Peu importe comment!”
“Is that why you haven’t mentioned the bombs yet?” Sam Reich asked, appearing out of nowhere with a gleeful grin.
Chocolate Guy reared back. “Where did you come from!?”
“You fight Batman and you’re asking me?” Sam chuckles. “I’ve been here the whole time. And I have a more important question: HOW DID YOU MAKE BOMBS OUT OF CHOCOLATE!?”
Chocolate Guy raised an unimpressed eyebrow. “They’re bombe au chocolats, what else would they be made out of?”
“But how?”
“Honestly, no wonder half of Gotham thinks you’re a Meta,” Bruce Wayne piped up. “With the things you can do with chocolate, you could work at any confectionary you want, any restaurant, you’d win awards—“
“Shut your mouth!” The Chocolate Guy lunges forward and smears a mess of chocolate against Bruce’s mouth. It cools down quickly, hardening against his chin and trapping his lips shut. The look Bruce sends him is impressively annoyed. “I don’t want to win awards, I want to wreak havoc!” Chocolate Guy snarled. “People must appreciate the true destructive potential of chocolate!”
“Hence the bombs,” Sam added, nodding.
A slow clap sounded from the ceiling.
All heads turn to the rafters, where Nightwing crouched, slowly clapping his gloved hands together. “I gotta say, Amaury, this scheme of yours is pretty impressive. Lure us over here with your kidnapping, distract us from your henchmen so they can plant the bombs unnoticed.“
He drops down from the ceiling, landing in a crouch. He removes his escrima sticks and activates the electricity. “Honestly, you might’ve gotten away with it.”
Some upperclassman cries out in surprise as Spoiler, having appeared out of nowhere, neatly cuts his ropes. The group of rich people had been arranged in a circle tied by the same length of rope, so the rest of their restraints slackened as well.
Spoiler held up the cut portion of rope. For some reason, she sniffs it. “Is this made of sugar?”
“Dragons beard candy!” Chocolate Guy cried, brandishing his reinforced chocolate nunchucks. “Some of my finest work!”
The following battle is one that would be told by bards across the world for the rest of time, if bards still existed. Nightwing is impressively skilled with his escrima sticks, not to mention very strong and incredibly flexible, but Amaury Guichon is a force to be reckoned with using those nunchucks, and it isn’t long before he captures one of the escrima and sends it flying. Nightwing uses the tiny opening the motion made and swipes at Amaury, but he dances to the side and slams one end of the nunchucks into his back, forcing Nightwing to use his momentum to roll.
Spoiler leads the formerly kidnapped socialites to safety while Nightwing is occupied, keeping a wary eye on Sam Reich, who is watching the battle with a concerning amount of glee.
It thankfully isn’t long before Nightwing gets the upper hand, forcing Chocolate Guy back until he trips over an abandoned conveyor belt. The vigilante makes swift work of him after that, tying him up with his own candy ropes—and zip ties, to be safe—and leaving him for the police to detain. He also leaves them the vat of chocolate. No way is he dealing with that.
He heads outside after collecting his escrima, but finds only upper class civilians. He taps his comm, “Spoiler?”
“Spoiler’s signal is jammed,” Oracle tells him. “So is Robin’s and Red Robin’s. They been off the map for two minutes, Spoiler for one.”
Nightwing frowned and began a closer examination of the surroundings. “You can’t track them?”
“I think an EMP went off, none of their tech is online.”
“That’d do it,” he muttered. “Who’s disabling the bombs? Have we found all of them?
“Signal’s taking care of one in East End, Red Hood has one in Crime Alley, Orphan has the one by the Wayne Enterprise building, and Batwoman is en route to the Wilson Memorial Bridge. There’s still two, one of them’s by the cell tower in the Bowery.”
Nightwing worked on his sweep of the factory, ignoring Chocolate Guy screaming French in the background. “B won’t be able to reach a suit for a few minutes. Call Bluebird?”
“Already on it,” Oracle replies. “She’ll be suiting up any second now. She’s closer to the cell tower, you look around for the last bomb and keep an ear out for our missing birds.”
Nightwing nodded redundantly and swung off into the night.
He searched East End first, since it was closest, but found no trace of chocolate bombs nor of wayward birds. He swung through Crime Alley with no luck, stopping to help Red Hood disable his bomb. They searched the Narrows and the Bowery together, during which Signal, Bluebird and Orphan finished with their bombs, and were heading towards Bristol when a figure landed beside them.
Red Robin waved. “Hey guys!”
Red Hood startled. “What the fu—“
“Where have you been!?” Nightwing demanded.
“With Sam Reich,” Red Robin said like it was obvious. “He kidnapped me, Robin and Spoiler to play a weird game of Simon Says.”
“What?” Red Hood hissed.
Nightwing landed on a roof and waited until the others landed beside him. “Did he hurt any of you?”
“No. Robin did get some friction burns from struggling against the ropes, but we’re all fine.”
“I hate Reich,” Red Hood muttered. “He’s weird.”
Red Robin shrugged. “Eh, Sam’s okay. Ra’s think he might take over the League of Assassins if he gets bored enough.”
Nightwing stared at his brother. “Okay, ignoring the fact that you’re apparently on a first name basis with one of our rogues—“
“Two, me and Eddie play fifth dimensional chess on Tuesdays—“
“Ignoring that, for now, we will be addressing that later—why does Ra’s think he could take over the League and why do you know he thinks that?”
“Ra’s keeps sending me passive aggressive letters about how the League’s doing. Well, that’s what he’s been doing recently, before that he was putting belladonna in my food for steali—“
“Where the fuck have you been?” Oracle demanded over comms. Red Robin winced.
“With Sam. He told us that the last bomb is by the docks.”
Nightwing opened his mouth, then closed it again. “We are bringing this back up later,” he eventually hissed, before turning and jumping off the roof.
“Why’s Ra’s trying to kill you?” Red Hood asked.
Red Robin watched Nightwing grapple away. “He isn’t, he needs me alive to have my children.”
“What?”
Red Robin copied his brother and jumped off the roof, grapple gun poised.
The three vigilantes reconvened at the docks, where they met Spoiler, Robin and the Riddler. The villain of the group was hunched over a complex chocolate structure, with Spoiler leaning over his shoulder and yelling about bombs and chocolate and defying physics, and Robin was several metres away with his katana at the ready. There was a somehow functional chocolate timer next to the bomb, which said they only had thirty seconds before the bomb went off.
Batwoman had disarmed her bomb during the ride over, so this was the last one they had to disable.
“Eddie? What are you doing here?”
That’s right, for some reason Red Robin was friends with the Riddler. Of course.
“Disabling the bomb,” Riddler replied, haggard.
“Do you even know how to do that?” Nightwing snapped.
“Just throw it in the bay,” Red Hood said.
“Oh yes, because a huge splash of hot steam is so much better.”
“Chocolate doesn’t float, it’ll sink to the bottom.”
“That’ll kill everything near it and—“
“You think things can live in Gotham water?”
“—it might explode the caves, you and I both know there are aquatic cave systems here.”
Red Robin, having previously disappeared during the conversation, reappeared when there was ten seconds left, holding a half empty bottle of vodka. He shoved back Riddler and began dumping the alcohol over the chocolate monstrosity. The others took many large steps back when he pulled out a box of matches.
He set alight the match and dropped it on the alcohol soaked, half deconstructed chocolate abomination, which immediately caught fire.
They all watched as the chocolate melted.
“Smart,” Spoiler observed.
“There’s really no hardwire in there?” Nightwing asked, wary and confused. “It’s just chocolate. How.”
“Does it really matter?” Red Robin asked, taking another step back. “They’ve all been dealt with.”
“What about Reich?” Robin demanded. “He’s who-knows-where and has proven skilled enough to capture vigilantes. We can’t leave him alone.”
“Oh, that?” Riddler said dismissively. “Don’t worry, I know a guy.”

The Cat's Out of The Bag - Gotham
Pairing: Jonathan Crane/ Scarecrow x Female! Reader
Warning(s): Just Gerald being a jerk, brief mention of death and hospitalisation
Thank you for your request, @poppunkandchill , and I do apologise for taking so long due to my busy work schedule and life
Poor Jonathan is forced to keep his relationship with you, his beloved girlfriend of over a year, a secret from his father because he fears that he would use you for his experiments to test out his fear serums and observe you like a wild animal.
You understand his concerns and agreed to keep the relationship a secret from his father after hearing stories about him, which weren't pretty ever since his mother's untimely passing from a fire.
Luckily, your family approves of your relationship with Jonathan because they can see that he's a sweet boy with good manners and knows that he doesn't act like his father.
One day, you and Jonathan were just hanging in his living room, cuddled up together on the sofa, watching TV and basking in the moment. After the movie, you received a text from one of your parents telling you to return home for dinner.
Before you leave, Jonathan gives her a sweet kiss on your lips before you leave his home, completely unaware that his father had watched the whole thing like a silent hawk, seething with rage in his eyes.
Needless to say, the two ended up in a nasty conflict where Gerald is upset that his only son went behind his back to get himself a girlfriend and insults you and said that you don't deserve him in a cruel tone of voice.
Jonathan defends you by screaming at him that you're the best that happened to him and wishes that he would rather be with you and your family instead where he is now.
Needless to say, Gerald tackled his poor son to the ground in a fit of rage before pulling out a syringe containing the fear serum and injecting it into him. He watches Jonathan experience the side effects where he is dealing with his worst fears, and Gerald has him hospitalised as a result.
A week later
You haven't heard back from Jonathan and are growing concerned until you suddenly get a phone call from the local hospital and hear his voice begging you to come visit him.
You rushed yourself to the hospital with all sorts of thoughts running through your head, wondering what happened to him and what led to his hospitalisation. Once you've made it to his hospital room, you had to catch your breath after all that running before settling down onto a chair next to his bedside.
Poor Jonathan held onto your hand so tightly that you thought he might have crushed it by accident. You do your best to calm him down by gently drawing shapes with your fingers from your other hand which has managed to calm him down for a bit.
Eventually, he tells you what happened with his father, and the reason led up to where he is now. You can't help but feel guilty that your sweet boyfriend is in the hospital because of you, which has enraged his father to harm him with his sick experiments.
Jonathan reassures you that it's not your fault and that it is bound to happen at some time during the relationship. It feels like ages since you've arrived until a nurse comes in to tell you that visiting hours is over.
You reassure him that you'll visit him again soon and you give him a kiss on his forehead before leaving the room to make your way back home as you must have worried your family when you ran out of your house after getting the phone call.
