I'd be happy if Bruno only showed up to talk with Jacob when he goes to visit him to vent about his teenage life, but I know that won't be just that, so... good luck sorting that guy out and how you'll handle the new side of this mafia again. Personally, I'd just dip Bruno headfirst in boiling oil. Yes, he's handsome. Yes, the most handsome of all your characters. None can hold a candle to him. Your people can fight this all they want, but even me, his official hater, know it's a FACT. And it's too bad because he's trash. So, I guess... Stay strong, Becca. Or consider the boiling oil.

well first and foremost: i am a NOTORIOUS "i do what i want"-er. going off the beaten path to the beat of my own drum is my favorite thing to do!

.. that said!! as i've mentioned before, actor Josh Charles was my first PB/"cast" for Harry Mason.

and my very first piece of silent hill fanart (march 10, 2018) really reflects that, LOL

incredibly, and almost a full year later to the date, i drew and posted this on march 4, 2019. now THIS is actually the closest canon-Harry i've ever drawn. (this was also around the start of the SH RP i was doing with a friend, which then spawned GOOMT lol.)

april 25, 2019. first color piece for any SH art and my first "real" time drawing james. this is also the last time you'll see him with his bangs on the "correct" side LOL.

april 30, 2019. the SH RP is still going on, and this is where i'm starting to get a better handle on what i want them to look like. Harry also gets a maroon sweater. he's also notably thinner here, and still has a lot of Josh Charles vibes.

sept 22, 2019. james sunderland thinnest browns edition. the bangs will be drawn on the right from now on.

(the only reason why they're on the right is because i forgot which way his hair actually parted. oops.)

the RP has ended. the first chapter of GOOMT is written a tumblr post and subsequently posted to tumblr october 3, 2019. i write/pst chapters 1 - 4 in the following days, then draw them again:

a note on james's bangs: i uhhhhhhh. Stylistically, i have a thing for drawing Big Hair and Tall Bangs. this is seen in my version of Jonathan Crane. but also my hair used to do the exact same bangs so are you really surprised.

it isn't until the end of Janurary/beginning of February that Harry finally Gets Fatter.

i'd been very unused to drawing fat people until Harry, and had been struggling up until here with actually drawing a more accurate representation of his body type to the one i saw in my head!

the reason why i made him fat is because it made sense to me that he was. people change, and being a single father changed him a lot. (and also i recognize that the only reason why the Dead Harry model was lean in sh3 was because it was a recycled Dead James model and they were Legit not going to actually put too much thought into it otherwise lmfao)

march 2020. still getting used to drawing Harry's body type!! also: even tho James's jacket is Longer in my head, i'm still trying to draw it the game-canon length.

FOR JAMES

i actually just forgor what he looked like and didn't ref my art to what he looked like in-game. simple as that! LOL

in the initial RP, James was played by my friend, while i grabbed the reins to Harry, so i naturally preserved some of the base features of what my friend decided for James (lean, Super Sad And Wet, pale af). i slapped on the caterpillar brows (this is also a thing i'm historically known for in character design), did some tweaks, and also let James evolve himself as i became a better artist.

longer coat because Aesthetics that's why LOL. i don't like the short jacket he wears in game-canon and i needed GOOMT james to put his hands in his pockets like how i drew him above. Reasons.

he's also so pale because [REDACTED] and much thinner than his in-game model because he did Not take care of himself very well in those three years during Mary's illness. (it's also in his genetics: Frank is lean, too (however much taller than James, rip dude 😔))

FOR HARRY

switch from blue to maroon: i like maroon/burgundy. (i realize later that the color he wears is more on the side of burgundy but y'all i hate the color spectrum and it can definitely also be called maroon so it's maroon LOL) i also just thought it looked better on him. the only other reason i can think of as to why i changed it was because.. people change. this is a new era in his life. i kept it a (more modest, sh1 harry you whore <3) v-neck sweater as a nod to his game-canon but just.. changed it to maroon. probably just a designator.

he's fat because of reasons detailed above (fatherhood, life on the road, settling down, etc). and also because he's hot and he deserves that. self-indulgent.

hair, nose, elf ears: self-indulgent.

for Harry especially there are a lot of aspects about him that "almost were" but got cut out of his development for one reason or another an really he's better off that way. i really really don't like to force development or force a "look".

the main reason i guess above all else is that Harry looks so different than his game canon is because he's not that Harry anymore. and in sh3, you never see the guy's face: him dead. i can't even recall if i'd seen the dead Harry model in full before trying to hammer out what GOOMT Harry looked like. young GOOMT Harry would look a lot closer to what his game model looks like, tho. i can tell you that much :3 (one day i'll draw a Younger Harry but don't expect it anytime soon unless the inspiration REALLY strikes lmfao)

a lot of their changes are just not that deep, honestly. my vision for them comes from forgetting which way the bangs go (looks James), developign them in my head over time, The Vibes™️, and The Indulgences™️. i'm a creature of habit for sure in the character design department LOL but my world my puddle we play in it.

Hi! Not a puzzle person here since I SUCK at them, but I ended up catching up on it after reading The Way Time Twists and seeing some fanart of the puzzle, and it's been cool to watch this one happen in real time after thinking it was over. ummm ultimately tho the reason i dont.tag them is honestly just bc i think any good puzzle/mystery/whatever this is (ehe) has to have a bit of scavenging to do! and that includes scavenging for hints and not always making them easy to find. i do try to cheat a little and queue them at specific times of the day (11a-1p, 4-6p, 9p-12a specifically) and keep a specific theme around the aesthetics used though. but ultimately its just like its a puzzle so it feels wrong to make everything needed for it just easy to find. at that rate i might as well just drop all the answers for it u know?

for my personal reference though i do try and keep track of them in a google doc. i actually have to start doing that with the pages too because there's plenty i've goofed up and had to remake last minute. so if anyone notices tiny differences no u dont <3

and u know someitmes it doesnt work out with dropping hints! there.have pbeen plenty of hints that have been drowned out, missed or juust gone straight over people's heads and honestly i don't sweat it too much. if a hint's not meant to be seen it's not meant to be seen and if i really want it to be seen i'll just reblog it again at a later date. but i've only ever done that.. twice lol. but for the most part i just kind of go with the flow its not my puzzle to solve :3 not really what youre asking but it feels relevant

basically mc (unnamed since i can't think of one rn) and red (magic hunter dude) are a duo of magic hunters. mc is kinda sorta badass, but also a complete sweetie and doesn't wanna hurt anyone whatsoever. red has told mc that magic only hurts people and no monsters involved are good. or worth saving. and since mc wants to help everyone they are just like 'ok bet' and now they work with red to find and eliminate magical threats.

in this fic basically all of your magic ocs are like... big in-charge people hlkjadfsklj-- they rarely are found speaking with mortals.

and then, ofc, one day, demon killer (YOU KNEW IT WAS COMING> YOU KNEW. /lh) shows up in the mortal realm for some ~fUn~ whatever that entails. he runs into mc (while he's in disguise, obv) and immideately starts flirting. mc is like 'mmmmmno' for a little bit, but he's insistent, so eventually mc relents and asks him about....

books. yes, books.

killer is caught off guard initially, but eventually just says 'yeah. yeah, i like books!' and bs-s his way through an entire conversation abt books. (mb nightmare forced him to read a book and mc brings up that particular book in a stroke of luck and killer gets to talk abt it, idk haha)

and then they go get coffee! it's not a date, tho. or is it?? neither of them got time to figure out if it was because bABAM. red crashes the lil meeting. he's like 'mc, are you ok???' and panicking about it (but in a not panicky way because yknow. he's red.) and mc just goes 'yes?? wtf is wrong???'

'there's a demon nearby.'

and then killer just like.. slowly raises his hand with a smug grin and switches into his ~*demon form*~. mc's eyes go wide, and before they have time to react, BAM. red knocks killer out.

long story short, after a lot of negotiating arguments, red allows mc to keep killer in the library (should i mention? red and mc live in an abandoned mansion in the woods. they fixed it up toghether. they're only really living together because neither of them are in a ood financial position atm. are there feelings there?? maybe.... >:3c)

so yeah. now mc takes care of killer, which inevitably leads to a lottt of pining. and thennnn.......

they run away together.

killer takes mc to the magic realm (without mc's permission) to protect them. red is not thrilled.

Is better with cats than dogs. Loud jumpy ones make him a bit nervous, but would love a King Charles Cavalier, LOVES them lil dudes. They're so fucking cute.

Also, owned countless Hamsters and Guinea Pigs and Gerbils growing up, seeing as his family lived in a smaller apartment and only moved to a bigger house in the suburbs when he was prepping to head to university.

Had an eyebrow and tongue piercing when he was younger but took them out and they're pretty much sealed up. Misses the eyebrow stud at times though. If you hype him up enough, will get a dick piercing tho. After all, doesn't go against office regulations. Bonus points if it makes you feel good during sex.

Loves piercings on other people. Will admire them, esp if they've got prettier or different jewelry, than the usual black or silver studs/ rings.

So, basically, he had to learn a passage in the Torah to read out and knows a bit of Yiddish here and there, from hearing it from his grandparents, but doesn't know anymore. Has wobbly French from learning it at school and its... Bad. Always wanted to learn Italian but is bad at learning languages so his little dictionaries and grammar books collect dust in his bookshelves.

4. What time does he usually go sleepy bye?

Weekdays? In bed by 9pm. Weekends? He stays up on Fridays till about 1am, and Saturdays are usually 10pm and Sundays he's back to sleep at 9pm. During Holidays, prefers sleeping at like, 10pm but happily stays up.

5. His thoughts on luck/superstitions?

Firmly believes in luck. Thinks he has 50/50 on it. Really believes the universe's eyes have passed over him in disinterest, and so he would never be the one to win a competition or lottery etc, but he does think that you're the biggest piece of good luck he's ever gotten. That and finding a £20 note someone dropped, that was pretty cool.

Does to the knock on wood thing and dislikes seeing opened books left open, so will place a lil bookmark in it before closing it. Keeps a lil salt packet in his pocket. Though, he doesn't believe in lucky numbers or anything.

He would never think so, but yes, very pretty. Bends a bit left, circumcised, pretty pink head, has a vein running down under the head that's somewhat pronounced when hard. Has nice fuzzy balls that are like peaches <3

7. Can I nap on his tummy and/or thighs?

Go for the thighs, he used to do jogging and swims now, so has solid thighs. Also embarrassed about his bit of pudge from spending most days sitting down and ordering take out when sad (Which used to be a lot of the time).

8. Any surprising kinks?

Weirdly, if you introduce it to him, will be into knifeplay. Would be into casual petplay, nothing intense. Real big one thats a surprise is CNC, esp if he's the one taking it. Is very embarrassed about him, please hype him up.

9. How many blankets and pillows he sleep with?

Multiple pillows but only one duvet with a blanket.

Alchemy- Which ingredients do they most often collect and how successful is their potion brewing?

Since Naelia got to Skyrim, she will collect mountain flowers for basic healing potions and such, just in case there’s an injury that’s too much for her restoration magic. Admittedly her brewing skills aren’t that great tho, she is famously banned from trying to do so within Tel Mithryn after an attempt at sweetening a health potion with moon sugar caught on fire.

Othrril tries to keep a decent stock of everything, but he has a fondness for gold kanet flowers. No one knows why, because they’re not great for healing potions, but he always has some for whatever reason. He also has more formal training in alchemy from his youth, so while he does know what the better techniques are, he worries that he’ll mess it up and end up doing more harm than good :(

Faction-  Is your character apart of any guilds?

Naelia has loose associations with The Companions, Dawnguard, and Thieves Guild, but isn’t technically a member. She’s more like a third party that they go to when things get too weird to deal with on their own.

Before House Telvanni, Othrril was part of the Tribunal Temple for the majority of his life, and still considered himself such until coming to an abrupt stop when he contracted Corprus. At that point in his life, his faith was significantly more subdued but the loss of it still hurt, so he just quietly left it behind to best of his ability.

Gold- How dose your character make their money?

Naelia has a tendency to pick up odd jobs in Skyrim, many of which are often very dangerous but pay rather well, along with selling Dwemer scrap metal (assuming she isn’t planning on using it herself) and occasional theft.

Othrril, however, had the luck of being a good healer when arriving on Vvardenfell. He wasn’t super well known for it or in it for the money, but he figured it was a way to do the most good in the world.

Quill- How much writing dose your muse do? Do they keep any journals or have they published any books?

Naelia keeps field journals! Most of them are organized by subject to avoid hassle, but there’s always a spare or two just in case she finds something that doesn’t quite fit with anything else. A lot of the journals have sketches too, mainly of whatever Naelia happens to studying, but there’s also a ton of margin doodles.

By comparison, Othrril doesn’t write as much. Sure there’s his research notes and whatever letters, but that’s out of necessity. After a while, writing starts to hurt so he just can’t do it as much he would like.

Zzz- How soundly dose your muse sleep at night? Is there anything they fear within the darkness?

So when she does actually manage to sleep, Naelia has a 50/50 chance of being an incredibly light or deep sleeper, just depending on the environment. Sometimes she’ll sleep thru a big ash storm and other times she wakes up bc she thinks she heard someone outside the room, which probably her main fear. Security is important to her and sleep requires her to lower her guard, and not being able to immediately respond to unforeseen events is one of reason she would just rather not sleep at all.

Othrril sleeps surprisingly well tho. It takes a lot to wake him up once he’s asleep, and the only real threat to that are the Dagoth Ur nightmares.

i think shinies are nifty :3c i came across my first one last year while i was trying to find all of N's pokemon in chargestone in bw2 and it was a joltik which made me SOOOO happy bc it's one of my fav pokemon<3 her name is peri and she immediately replaced the ampharos i had on my team rip. since then ive gotten a rhyhorn (found while grinding in victory road in crystal), a drilbur (hatched VERY early while iv breeding in swsh), yveltal (hunted in dynamax adventures), and clauncher (bred in xy) ^__^ it's been a while since i was trying for it but im also in the middle of trying to hatch a shiny wimpod in moon (im somewhere around 600 or 700 eggs rn i think?). OH also im sharing a pla file w my twin and we've had pretty good luck with finding shinies! we've found a togepi, drifloon (which. was a mantyke for half a second before it became night?), stantler, gastly, ponyta (tho this was from the quest i believe), psyduck, onix, and geodude!

it depends! i usuallyyy play as whichever character i actually consider the true protag for the game but in the games where you can customise your character i can go either way and think of them more as My Character, ykno?

This one is one of my favorites. I’ll probably go hunting for the post (here!) I made for it but I went so hard on my lil review. It’s a reverse harem, slow burn. But they have such a beautiful writing style and their characterizations are spot on. I don’t know if anyone else have ever understood these characters this well with how they break down the characters. Literally break them down, make them raw because they’re crying and you’re crying suddenly too. The MC is incredibly relatable IMO. She has a personality while also being written where you can relate to her. I see myself in her. But I also see my friends. And my friends are themself in her. And she’s annoying. And frustrating. And she’s human. Reverse harem includes: Ushijima Wakatoshi, Kuroo Tetsurou, Sugawara Koushi, Akaashi Keiji, Iwaizumi Hajime, Oikawa Tooru.

Times I’ve cried reading: probably like at least 5x. MC does have a given last name but that is because she’s adopted. Also, I’m not an Ushi fucker at all, but tea made me like,,, just love ushi,,, a lot

Another masterpiece, also a favorite. I think Ren does a great job world building, she truly makes it an experience and at this point I’m not even reading it for the haikyuu boys LOL. I absolutely love how she brings us into the story (as the MC or just as a reader) and submerses us into this world she created. she does a great job showing us the world rather than telling, keeping us in the dark like MC, and guiding us through the world like MC as well. Ren also has an incredible way of understanding the characters, even their alternate forms because at the core they’re all the same. But because the ones in the alternate world grew up in a harsher environment of sorts, they seem different. Harem includes: Ushijima Wakatoshi, Bokuto Koutarou, Kuroo Tetsurou, Miya Osamu, Miya Atsumu, Kita Shinsuke, Suna Rintarou, Oikawa Tooru 

Ren has multiple side stories intertwined as well which makes it just absolutely amazing. I should ALSO mention, I was already an inarizaki fucker but Ren made me go oh shit. also the same as I said about Ushi from beartea, I was not an Ushi fucker but Ren also made me like him a lot more

How do you decide what to name your OCs? Got any tips for people that struggle to name their OCs?

Like Kai and Ren I named back in 2008 granted I've changed their names some

Like Kai’s actual name is “Kaya” her nickname of “Kai” comes from a pun she uses as an alias and a nod to her original name. Her Pun is she was once named “Youkai Masters” a dual language name joke to her Demon King Nature. mow she just uses ‘Kai’ as short for ‘Kaya’ since she doesn’t want people having her real name. her common Alias now is “Aya Kashi” when said in the japanese order its “Kashi Aya” so you don’t get the pun unless you swap it to english order since Kai was raised western.

Kai used to be named “Kica” (pronounced like Mica but with a hard K) which was short for “Kicamma” because I was a tiny young weeb when I made her and wanted her to sound Japanese without actually finding her an actual Japanese name =v=;;

Ren was just. Ren. His full name of Reniculus is something I gave him a few years back as a way to make him sound pompous as a arch mage

Eclipse and Sena both are named for the moon, Sena being unintentional (I liked the name and was like yeah this works. then googled it and threw a desk to find I literally named my moon demon ‘moon’)

The law Siblings are a little different I actually originally named Ru “Auberon” after an alternate spelling of “Oberon” or the king of the fairies. This was going to be a joke about how he uses soul fire aka wisp magic as well as his magic of drawing and calming supernatural creatures to him like Hattie does.

I changed it to “Arulius” because I couldn’t think of a good nickname for Auberon. It was too mouthy and while it did work it just wasn’t what I wanted.

I also didn’t want to name him Luka or Lukas because I know a lot of folks name Prince those variants and wanted mine to kinda have his own thing. I did keep that nod with his middle name.

I settled on Arulius because I had already named Marcus (I was still debating on Morgan’s name at this time. I just didn’t care enough to name Meanjumper)

So it’s a Marcus Aurelius joke.

(however I just found an accidental joke. the spelling of Arulius is a type of fish. I didn’t know. I actually only spell it Arulius due to I spell sounding things out and thought it was the proper spelling)

Marcus and Morgan both have long names to make it funnier when their brother shouts at them.

Sometimes I ask friends for help! Like Steve? Gin named Steve! Originally he was an unnamed shapeshifter! Bunny Wicker tho I actually named a few years ago because! I Made Bunny Back in College! She used to be a mythical animal care taker with a chip on her shoulder. I literally just named her Bunny Wicker cuz I like how it sounds. her name in bonestealer is actually just a nickname. Full name is Bonnibel Isabelle Wicker. Bunny being a nickname due to her short stature and buck teeth.

My advice is decide if names mean a lot to your story or not.

Like for Eclipse names are a very important aspect of her character due to things I’ve hinted at but I’m not going to fully spoil. But basically she follows the rule of “giving a fairy a name” logic. As well as True names given by the universe. but that’ll come up later. >:3c

Kai uses aliases because demons in her world follow the “you gain control over someone with their true full name” rule

my rule of thumb is if a character’s name is important to the story I’ll do research. Other wise I just pick a name that i like the sound of. I’m a huge fan on picking names with meanings for the character as well as names from the culture the character has ties to.

My character Hel for example; she causes things to wither and decay when you touch her bare hands (she wears gloves to prevent this) she’s icelandic so she’s named for the goddess of norse mythology Hel due to how she causes death and Hel has half her face decayed.

Other characters i do this for are like Morte. Her real name is Jessica Moore. She uses Morte as a stage name due to being a necromancer who’s a zombie.

Or Tacks another necromancer of mine. Tacks is her nickname because she takes down flayed skins and often is seen chewing on nails.

But in the same vain with tacks is a character named Riley Jones. There’s no meaning behind it her name is just Riley. A pretty standard name because she was a normal human without much going on for her.

So when you struggle with a name sit back. think of your story, think of teh character, look up things that pertain to them and maybe something clicks!

Also don’t be afraid to change it if you need to!

Kai had the same name for a long time before I shifted it. I’m much happier with her name as Kaya Umbra Hellsing / Solaria Umbra (true name) because it fits her as a character better!
