Frozen empire was really good, love it being a bit more character centric. Love that again, like afterlife it keeps essential elements like the music, the logo font etc

Some particulars -

Ghostbusters extended lore. This franchise is for the lore and legend fans fr. Everyone’s a magic nerd and I love that but particularly the ghost research facility.

GHOSTBUSTERS LORE- specifically how they implemented old merch of the franchise and toys as stuff IN UNIVERSE. (Is the cartoon a canon cartoon just like how the movie is a movie in the cartoon?)

Opening with the Robert frost poem. Iconic.

The possessor in his little cell is so cute actually. Little guys got enrichment in his enclosure!

Lucky is iconic actually. Her comments about the grandma’s apartment absolutely kill me

Their implementation of new charecters. They did not feel forced in and didn’t overstay their welcome but also all got a little of their own development. (Would’ve liked more of Lars though)

Benji takes Ethan to a family event, his first since he moved to the USA. His brother, Gary King, says he won't show to Nicholas Angel (Nicholas, Shaun and Tim are Gary and Benji's cousins in this).

Cut to Benji who's drilling Ethan on his family. His brother's Gary, they've got different names because Benji was born before their parents were married, Gary when they were. He’s an ex-addict who tried to kill himself so don't mention either.

His parents are divorced. His cousins are:

Tim Bisley, wife's name is Daisy, they have two kids, Leia and Luke. He’s an artist, she’s a "writer" who doesn’t write but don't tell her he said that

Shaun Riley, wife's name is Liz. There isn't much to say about them, they travel because Liz wants to, but go to the same pub because of Shaun.

Nicholas Angel. Constable of a rural police force, his fiancé's Danny Butterman, Sergeant of the same police force.

They get there, everyone's shocked he's there and are asking who is boyfriend is. Ethan puts on the MI3 charm of being so boring no one listens when talking about his work in the Department of Transport. Well, Nicholas's interested, yet Ethan doesn't crack and answers all his questions.

Then, a bad guy follows them. Their cover is blown and they're forced to fight them. Danny's amazed, Gary's laughing in the corner, Nicholas is trying his best after Benji tells him to get everyone out.

Now they're all much more interested in Benji's American boyfriend

Gaz : That's because you're a himbo. I think you're a cat because sometimes you freeze and stare at an empty corner of the room as if you're seeing something I can't see. What are you looking at, ghosts?

Gaz : Hey, I just found out there's a haunted house not that far away and I've been binge watching ghost hunting videos lately, how about we rent some equipment and go try to find ourselves a ghost?

Soap : Oh uh....

Roach : Say yes, please say yes I've always wanted to go ghost hunting!

Soap : Sure.

Then at the haunted house there isn't a single ghost, except Roach, who makes all their equipment go crazy all by himself, and who has the time of his life. Gaz thinks he experienced something huge and Soap doesn't have the heart to tell him that his army of ghosts were actually just a dead Welsh madman cackling like the menace for society that he is from the top of the stairs...

Constantly thinking of the many ways Roach could be incorporated into the reboot timeline but in the most angsty way possible.

I lowkey like the idea that Roach and Ghost were partners in the past and sent out on a mission where only one of them came back (Ghost) while the other was presumed dead (Roach).

That mission could be this timeline's version of Loose Ends where they're betrayed, but not by Sheppard. (And it also explains the "Careful who you trust, people you know can hurt you the most." line by Ghost.)

Or it could just be a mission that ended terribly and Ghost has to live with the pain of losing Roach.

Anyways the next part is inspired by this post by @rodolfoparra with Roach being a Shadow Company soldier.

I'm thinking Roach becomes a Shadow after being found half-dead by Sheppard's men. Happens right after the mission where Ghost thought he died.

He becomes recruited and now works for Sheppard (this is lowkey inspired by the cod:g storyline where the enemy captured, tortured and brainwashed one of the good guys into joining their side.)

This would also make for some good ass angst-ridden reunion when Ghost discovers that not only is Roach alive, but he is now serving the enemy.

This could be reluctant enemies to lovers lmao (or just enemies to friends if that's more your thing)

Imagine Roach having a vendetta against Ghost because he believes he was abandoned/left for dead during that past mission. Like idk Sheppard or some other SC officer brainwashed him into believing Ghost had discarded him.

Maybe Roach defects from SC because of Ghost either trying to bring Roach back to their side, or just by Roach being unable to bring himself to fight/hurt Ghost.

I feel like Roach is a fiercely loyal man to whoever he is allied with, so it would probably take a lot for him to break away from SC in the beginning (esp since I'm going with him being brainwashed into joining them.)

Anyways, I am a shameless ghostroach shipper at heart so my reboot!Roach hcs are going to generate the most amount of angst possible for these two. Just think of the potential.

I made a more updated Cornetto Trilogy/Mission Impossible/Top Gun/ER family tree so here it is but I'll also explain it too. Also shout out to @whoophoney for keeping my special interest in the cornetto trilogy alive

I can't actually get all branches on here, hence the explaination, but we'll start at the Great Grandma who started it all. She had 2 daughters, who we'll call Grandma King and Grandma Angel for the 2 family lines. Let's go down theAngel line first.

Left to right, we have Barbara Riley, with her unnamed dead husband named Father Riley, and her only son Shaun Riley, we also see her and Phillip Not-Riley because we don't actually get his surname or what Barbara's is so, yeah, any name I don't have is just not-known surname.

Next we have Gillian Bisley, nee Angel, once married to but not separated from John Bisley with their two kids Tim and Kate Bisley. We see that Tim is kind of with Daisy, and their kid "Luke" Bisley but I just don't get why they didn't name their daughter Leia?

And finally, we have Father Angel, keeper of the namesake, also without a name, and his only son Nicholas, appropriately partnered to one, Danny Butterman, yes I have put the Butterman's on here too but we know them.

Next we'll go down the King line

I'll explain the Benji and Gary situation because they have different surnames. Benji was born when his parents were together, maybe married, maybe not, but he got his dad's name. Gary was born after their dad had left when their mum told him she was pregnant again, so got his mum's surname.

Benji went to Oxford, then got scouted by an American engineering company so went there. But going with the Dead Reckoning Pt 1 idea that most people in the IMF got into some dodgy stuff and had no way out, the only thing I can imagine Benji doing is pirating stuff? He got really good at it during uni but found something he shouldn't have done and was given the choice of prison or be a tech at the IMF. As far as his family know, he's still working at that engineering company.

Benji and Ethan are together, of course, and let's go into his side of the family.

Ethan and Maverick are twin brothers, yes in canon there's 2 years between them but sshhhh, this is my family tree. They were born twins in 1962 but separated after Duke Mitchell died. Ethan was adopted by Margaret and Nathan Hunt and slowly forgot about his birth family, not because they forced him to but just because he was turning three when Duke died.

Mav forgot too and after his mum died, he went into foster care. One day, I think Benji gets Ethan a family tree thing and he finds out he has a twin brother. They meet, bond, maybe clash a little because of their values? I know they're quite similar in the way that they rebel against their respective governmental organisations but I feel like the reasons why would cause them to clash? Mav does it because that's just what he does whereas Ethan does it because he wants to save everyone.

Now onto Mav, his RIO was Goose and this is where I added more to my previous family tree.

I wanted Goose and Mark Greene to be cousins because they both have some kind of connection to the military, Goose is in the Navy, Mark's dad was a captain in the Navy and felt pressured to join it. But then I realised that if their dads were brothers, how could they have different names. So I blamed the War. I did have a headcanon that Goose's grandad was a jazz musician, but maybe that's on his mum's side.

So, Grandpapy Bradshaw, had Goose's dad then died in WW2, maybe on D-Day, which goes with the theme of Bradshaws dying young because I headcanon that Goose's dad died when he was 13 and Goose died at 26 and Carole dies at some point when Bradley's a kid. His Grandma remarries to Grandpapa Greene, has Mark's dad, then Mark's born and kind of hates Goose when he's going through his teenage angst phase he went through in Hawaii because Goose was his dad's favourite nephew because he wanted to join the Navy so much.

Mark met Jen, had Rachel, got divorced, met Elizabeth, had Ella and died. Obviously a lot more, but I wonder what he'd think of his cousin dying so young when he was still in his Navy hating part of his life.

I really want to see a Benthan wedding, with all the Cornetto Trilogy people on Benji's side, and all of the past teams for Mission Impossible and all the Top Gun gang on Ethan's. It's just a funny image and it would probably be interrupted by some bad guy trying to destroy the world and everyone's reactions would be hilarious
