As promised here's some more photos of the Westworld themed Monopoly game, Westworldopoly! The game was given out as a wrap gift to cast and crew after S4. It includes a full themed game board with various locations from all 4 seasons. It also comes with 8 game tokens which include the Vitruvian Host from S1, Dolores' horse, the Man In Black's hat, Charlie's Maze toy, the Mariposa piano, Dolores' gun, the self-driving car from S3 and one of Hale's flies from S4.
The instruction booklet reads like a script which gives a new spin to some memorable quotes from the show. It did not come with any special themed houses or hotels, but the money does have the Westworld logo on it. Chance and Community Chest cards are replaced by New Narrative and Lock and Safe cards which also include a lot of references to the show and also tease at was to come in S4.
This is such a cool piece of memorabilia from the show filled with so many Easter eggs and references to all the seasons! It was such a nice surprise to see it included a ton of references from S4 too. It would've been awesome to have had this before the season premiered. Such a fun way to commemorate the show! ❤️

hello 🥰 1, 4 and 8 for the arctic monkeys asks! hope you’re having a good day 💞
hello!! thank you for popping by!! <3 tbh, not been a great day lol. managed to get food poisoning right before new years so i still feel a bit like garbage. alas. so thank you for making me feel a little better :)
1) favorite record opener track
i know i'm a bit of a basic bitch but the first thumping beats of "do i wanna know?" just get me every time. rockets me straight back into the nostalgia of listening to the album for the first time in college on my first pair of real headphones plugged into my dinky laptop, lying on my lofted bed and staring at the ceiling just a foot above my face. realizing that holy shit this was a bit too applicable to my then not-relationship. good times. second place is "my propeller" bc it's just a hot song. no further comment.
4) which member of the band would you most like to spend the afternoon with and why? how would you spend your time?
alex, probably. he's just an interesting person and i know we'd spend an awful lot of time stuttering and meandering through sentences but i just wanna hear him infodump about whatever random thing he's into at the moment. teach me some cool words. and i wanna talk about space bc i am always looking for a captive audience to talk about astrophysics with. (much fewer and far between now that i'm no longer in an academic environment, you know?) wanna tell him that i've got some excellent metaphors rattling in my brain about my old research specialties that i still think about sometimes.
8) do you have any cool arctic monkeys memorabilia or keepsakes that are meaningful to you?
even though i've been listening to them for ages and ages i never managed to live in a place where they did a show until this tour. i managed to get a tour shirt, which is exciting, because i just don't have a lot of band merch!

i know it's not going to do much, but fuck it. I want fans, both queer and nonqueer, to wear pride merch. Hell, I want fans to actually make their own pride-based hockey memorabilia. I want fans to carry in signs protesting the changes. Even if the league bans them, I want them to do it anyway. I want fans to shout chants supporting players/coaches/gms/whatever that are queer, nonwhite, disabled, neurodivergent, and otherwise a minority. I don't know if there is a way to contact the NHL, but if there is, I want fans to send phone calls and emails to the league expressing their displeasure with how it's being run. I want fans to PROTEST. If the NHL isn't gonna welcome minorities, we'll make them do so.

16.5" Liu Kang Coarse Statue.
In the vast realm of gaming, there exists a niche that caters to those who appreciate not only the virtual battles but also the tangible symbols of their favourite franchises. As someone deeply entrenched in the world of fighting games, I've always held a special admiration for the characters and stories that have captivated gamers for decades.
So, when faced with the dilemma of what to blog about, it only seemed fitting to delve into the realm of collectibles. Enter the Mortal Kombat 1 Kollector's Edition 16.5" Liu Kang Coarse Statue—a masterpiece that commands attention from both die-hard fans and casual observers alike.
Standing tall at 16.5 inches, this statue is not merely a depiction of a beloved character; it's a celebration of gaming history and artistic craftsmanship.
Upon receiving this exquisite piece, the first thing that struck me was the attention to detail. From Liu Kang's iconic stance to the intricately designed base, every aspect of this statue exudes quality and passion. As I carefully examined each element, it became evident that this was more than just a collectible; it was a labor of love from the creators.
As a long-time fan of fighting games from Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Street Fighter. I must say while , the Liu Kang Coarse Statue holds a special place in my heart due to its rarity and sheer size. Standing proudly on my shelf, it serves as a reminder of the countless hours spent mastering combos and unlocking secrets in the Mortal Kombat universe.
Amidst the excitement of acquiring this coveted piece, there's a lingering sense of curiosity about other collectibles in the gaming world. One such item that has garnered attention is the Tekken 8 Exclusive Jin Electrified Figurine. Clocking in at 25cm, it boasts impressive craftsmanship and attention to detail. However, despite my admiration for the Tekken series, as I have gotten older I find myself drawn more towards the Mortal Kombat universe.
While both franchises have left an indelible mark on the world of fighting games, it's the visceral combat and iconic characters of Mortal Kombat that resonate with me on a deeper level. Perhaps it's the nostalgia of playing the original games or the thrill of executing a flawless victory; whatever the reason, Mortal Kombat will always hold a special place in my gaming repertoire.
The Mortal Kombat 1 Kollector's Edition 16.5" Liu Kang Coarse Statue is more than just a collectable—it's a testament to the enduring legacy of the franchise and the passion of its fans. As I gaze upon its imposing figure, I'm reminded of the countless memories forged in the fires of battle and the camaraderie shared with fellow gamers. And while the allure of other collectables may beckon, there's no denying the allure of Mortal Kombat's rich history and timeless appeal. Here are some pictures below to show you what I am on about.

The DC Deck-Building Game has a new set, focused on Eobard vs the Flash (though it does have some Rogues, other members of the Flash Family, and miscellaneous individuals from the Flashverse). What I like about this concept is that you can play as Eobard or the Flash; not sure if it's Barry-only or could be Wally. It's probably deliberately left open.
You may recall the Rogues set from this game some years back.

okay but also
the book nagito is describing. his favorite novel. where the protagonist is a high school girl involved in a serial murder case. but at the end the protagonist is revealed to be the killer all along.
that's DR0, isn't it
and the protagonist is written so that the reader is the protagonist - that's talking about how she's in first person, even though no one else is.
he's literally talking about DR0 this egghead

The man behind Mario himself essentially retired from voicing Mario in official games last week. I'm glad we got to hear him for as long as we have, and that he was able to get a chance to step back and admire his work. I've always known Charles Martinet's voice as THE Mario voice, but his voice acting went well beyond one role. While I'm curious how Super Mario Wonder will go, I look forward to the new directions all around.
Topps releases a set every year [since 2006] called "Allen and Ginter". It's essentially their brand for both baseball stars/legends as well as other pop culture stars (or other curiosities) at the time of release. It also shares the same name as a tobacco brand from the late 1800s, who basically was responsible for the first trading cards released (but as inserts/ads to the tobacco, and was usually stuff like animals, nature, or locations rather than people in the early years).
This particular card is from the 2019 set, and one of the cool things Topps does is they'll get pieces from a shirt (or other artifact the subject wore/used) and put it into the card itself. "Game used jerseys" are one of the more common additions to cards - being a sports card company for the mostpart - so it was so cool to have something that, even if it could've been a brief moment of wearing a shirt for a day, was a part of his life. There was an autograph card from the same year that I hope to get one of these days, but I'm keeping my eyes out for one to be reasonably available.
Keep at the fun, Charles, and we'll be rooting and "Wahoo!"ing for you along the way all the same!

ok but on the note of mike's 'presence' in sb (@animatronicabundance had a theory about him being f.azbear ent's ceo) -
silly thought but. wouldn't helpy's OVERWHELMING presence in the plex (and hw too honestly) be explained by that. we only see him in f.fps before that, and everyone has it in their minds that michael is the protag in that game (myself included), so i think itd be really funny if mike was like. fuck it my son goes EVERYWHERE. new mascot. freddy f.azbear who?
