i am staying home, treating myself to steak (and a cupcake for dessert) and continuing love game in eastern fantasy for new years eve

here's hoping that after this bonkers year you all also have a chance to treat yourselves nicely and spend as much time as possible with those you love

#i just spent a full week at my sisters so being by myself for new years feels relaxing rather than lonely #and i watched more tv than i have the entire rest of the year lol #i forgot they keep the tv on almost all the time for needed noise reasons #i actually put on are you sure when they gsve me the remote because the sapporo eps are so seasonally appropriate #(and yes my sister - who cares nothing about kpop at all - was like okay but why are they sleeping in the same bed ...?)#my bil ran through the jurassic park movies while we were on our phones #and then moved on to firefly - i had forgotten the specific uncomfortable feeling of joss whedon's 'feminism'#like compared to even the jp movies and the annual xmas die hard watch it was just so blatantly sexist it pained me #we also made it through like 10 episodes of love game in eastern fantady though #as well as going through a bunch of our parents memorabilia and attending outdoor xmas light walks #with work i am now all socialled out - people in the neighborhood are having parties and there are fireworks at 8pm #and i'm happy for them but also happy where i am #best wishes to you everyone and may the coming year be vastly kinder than we expect
