Taken on the school run! Very pretty, but very, very cold given how my boiler's decided to fail! 🥶🌨️

@idontknowreallywhy said: Jeff but where Jeff actually looks like he’s spent 8 years alone on a rock and my hand slipped also I got struck with the idea that it'd be cute to give his hair a little of John's cowlick when it's lost its styling

Not sure who is more excited, me or the dog (definitely me) for my new Thunderbirds tote. Needed something for some art supplies, and this is perfect! Thank you @lenle-g !

Just bought this book for our Xmas Eve box! So looking forward to reading it with the kids! ✨
You guys over here on Tumblr have been such a massive support for this little dragon since the very first illustration of him in 2021, I wanted to update you all on how the book has been doing!
I was blown away when it debuted at #6 on the Indie Bestseller book list (which charts sales at independent bookstores across the US) and even more blown away when it climbed to the #4 spot this week!
And if you can believe it, Barnes & Noble has also selected it as one of their "Best Books of 2024" !
I'll have more announcements in the coming months but first let me just say a big THANK YOU! I never ever expected my little book to take flight like this!

It hurt but it was worth it.
Every day they had to move him from his bed to the bath.
Every day it hurt like hell.
But Virgil knew it was worth it…worth it…so worth it…
“Virg?” A hand touched his cheek.
“Mmm?” He didn’t bother to open his eyes. He didn’t want to see the worry in his big brother’s.
“Are you comfortable?”
“Mmm-hmm.” The analgesic in the fluid calmed the burns after the movement and gentled the pain away. It tended to be soporific and he let himself drift.
Fingers combed through his hair and he leant into them.
“How is he, Grandma?”
“He’s healing, honey. He just needs time and TLC.”
The fingers combed again.
I’ll be okay, Scott. He wanted to say the words, but the energy wasn’t there. He hated worrying his brother.
But there hadn’t been a choice. Those children were worth it.
Worth it…worth it…
Fingers smoothed his hair and his brother sighed.
It hurt to hurt his family like this.
But even then, it was worth it.
Ever so worth it.
