Molly would be damned of she didn’t do something fun for herself once in a while. She may have been a mom, a wife — and a housewife at that — but she was fun, quirky and one of a kind. She was multi-faceted and that’s what made her Molly Weasley. She grew up with two brothers who were always up to something and she had learned from them in her own Molly fashion. That hadn’t gone away with being a mom and a few years added to her life.

The plan was to meet James at the joke shop. She hadn’t been in quite some time and was excited. This time she wasn’t going to surprise anything for the boys, she was going for herself. She was the prankster. Normally she would have asked one, or both, of her brothers to join her but they were busy with work and their own lives and Molly didn’t want to wait. So instead she took advantage of the young boy who spent so much time with them growing up.

James may as well have been her younger brother with as much time as they spent together. They were both attached to Gideon and Fabian so it wasn’t unlikely that they became somewhat of a pair themselves. It would be nice to spend a day with him and she knew he would love a trip like this one.

When he finally showed up Molly pointed to her wrist. “Never on time, boy. Now let’s get to cracking!” She grabbed his arm and dragged him into the shop.

" A lot of earache," Remus joked with a smile. "I guess it was worth it because here we are now. It may have taken a while but it finally happened. Couldn't be happier for you, mate." He gave his best friend a pat on the shoulder. "Aurora and I have had a bumpy ride but we're in the best place now. I made some mistakes -- well, a lot of mistakes -- but she's giving me yet another chance. She's perfect and I don't deserve it but I have been lost without her," Remus had a soft smirk on his face. "I could give you an earache now if I really wanted to. I'll try not to. Just know I'm actually happy."

He was still sore but Remus was finally starting to be able to move. Standing up he stumbled a bit and held his chest but he could finally handle it. "No apologies. How would you know if I'm doing okay or not when I'm in form? It's not your job, Prongs." He truly appreciated James' care for him but it was true, it wasn't his job to protect Remus. In fact, it could be a deadly thing if he put himself in the line of fire. He wouldn't want to see his friend dead after his transformation back to being human. He would never forgive himself. It was better for Remus to be in pain -- or to die -- than for any of his friends.

"You're so humble," Remus laughed. "But good call. I'll have to bring some with me from now on. But it's good to know it's been there for weeks. Merlin, James. You could have left that part out." Remus let out a big sigh and walked around for a moment to see how he felt. "Okay, we can get going. I think I can make the trip. A shower and food are calling my name."

From the beginning of their first to the end of seventh year, James Potter's voice could often be heard coming from the Gryffindor boys' dormitory talking about Lily Evans. He couldn't imagine how annoying he must've been for his friends to deal with. Yet, they still did, mostly without complaint. Luckily for them all, it had all worked out in the end. "Would've been luckier if we'd gotten together about seven years earlier, eh, Moony? That would've saved you a lot of earache." But he acknowledged his words with a nod. "I am very lucky to have her. Luckier than I deserve. The both of us, really. How are things with Aurora?" Remus deserved the entire world, and James knew Aurora felt the same. Although he supported his best friend over anyone, he'd secretly been on her side throughout their whole situation.

At the satisfied expression on Remus' face, James cracked a smile, making a mental note to keep chocolate on him more often. He shuddered as Remus talked about broken ribs and scars so casually. "I'm sorry. I should've thought." Part of him felt that this had been his fault, and he blamed himself for not realising the potential consequences of letting Remus play fight with another wolf. It had been stupid, really. Of course that had been a bad idea. Why hadn't he realised it at the time? It had been his responsibility to ensure nobody got hurt, and now here Remus was, wincing in pain. In his guilt, he fell quiet, spaced out as his gaze fixated on a branch a few feet away from him on the forest floor.

"I know everything all the time, Moons. You should know that by now," he grinned. "Nah, kidding. I've had that in my pocket for weeks." James nodded, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Just tell me when you're ready, and we'll go."

La voz familiar lo hizo volverse y una sonrisa sincera de inmediato apareció en sus facciones. Había pocas cosas que lo hacían sentirse firme a algo el último tiempo. Harry, por supuesto. Lily, aunque ella no lo recordada. Y, de lo más importantes, sus amigos, lo que incluía a Peter, claramente– ¡Peter! No te vi antes, ¿Cómo estás? –su voz claramente dejaba entrever una disculpa. Asintió primero, porque sí, estaba teniendo dificultades, pero de inmediato movió su cabeza en señal negativa– Qué va, no, no puedo quitarte tu regalo –se negó– Es un muy buen regalo.
