i don’t want to add to the discourse but as much as people wanna argue on here about ace Vik and all that shit it’s honestly been really nice seeing so much fanfic and smut that actually acknowledges disabled conditions and makes accommodations for them like usually disabled characters are cast aside or their disabilities are cast aside and smut is written with them completely fine or they’re just considered unfuckable and that they aren’t dating anyone or they’re labeled as ace (which is a big reason why i don’t like that headcanon for Vik personally i think the claim for the creator comes from an inherent place of homophobia and prejudice) so it’s been really cool to see so much representation and no one ignoring especially Vik’s disabilities but Jayce’s leg as well like yeah put your little gay ship in braces together and then they kiss and fuck nasty !!

but in the present/future? i can’t see harry without kim, there’s too much between them and i can’t look away, and i also really love them. i think that jean and harry would drive them insane again, their baggage is too heavy, and i can’t see a way for them to really work for once. the love? is totally here, it’ll always be, but alone? they can’t work, they’ll be the death of them

everything i’ve seen about jeantrant is really good, i like it, they’re cute, but my problem is that we (me? could be my problem, it’s still been not a lot of time since i’ve finished de) know too little about trant, and we don’t really see his personality, his problems, everything. to me he seems too good and sane, and i think that also jean craves in some way someone fucked up as him. it doesn’t feel that satisfying for me too, not like this. wish to know more about him, the game has leave some good doubts to me about trant

Of course, most of the things they say is dramatically boring and their ideas and opinions make Sirius sick. But then he catches a shift in the tone of the conversation. Someone made a name, and someone else responded with an indignant grunt.

"I can't believe such blasphemy would get published."

"The example of our society's decline, truly, that it was allowed to see a library."

"It's the same author as that obnoxious little poem collection that'd gotten so much attention a few years back, remember?"

"You don't mean the Moonlights, surely!"

"Sure enough, Lupin's work, both of them."

"And they let him publish again? After the storm that caused?"

The discussion gets heated, until Orion Black's low voice booms. "Enough. This gentlemanly discussion will not be soiled further with discourse of that vulgar scribbler."

The room quiets down, then conversation slowly starts again as if this arc has never happened. But Sirius heard. And if anything, or anyone, can make all of his parents' pretentious friends so riled up, then it might just be worth of his attention.
