My baby knows the way to all of our locals. I just follow her lead.

had the best pomegranate I've had in years today, I am so so happy. I always look for one every year, I don't always buy one bc usually the ones that make it this far are shit, so it's a REAL treat if i get a good one, and boy was it ever. we ate maybe half of it fresh and I'm freezing the rest, it's gonna be so good

#me #food #i got kumquats at meijer once #they were ok #definitely worth trying but they were a bit harsh and hard for me to digest unfortunately #poms & berries don't seem to hurt me too much as long as i eat something else first #i can only eat salad sometimes. other times it kills me dead #nuts are right out #well no pine nuts are ok and sometimes peanuts but pecans almonds etc? kill me dead #apples used to be ok but are fairly hit or miss and mostly miss these days #it sucks bc i LIKE fresh fruits and veggies and hearty meals and meat and stuff #i just literally cannot digest it. its sooo unfair

I bleached every surface in my bathroom. Built a new metal shelf for same bc my old particle board shelf was destroyed by the sewage overflow. Made a tasty couscous dish for dinner. These things you csn achieve after sleep in til 11 waking up with a migraine eat breakfast take meds and a big edible and sleeping again til three. Next I’m making banana bread and prepping for brunch tomorrow

#I’m making breakfast tacos (tortillas + eggs + beans + veggie meat + guacamole + salsa #and plantains and hash browns. and i guess some fresh salad. all from scratch

Okay so like I'm not in a situation where I can cook meals at night so I get frozen meals w veggies right but I'll be damned if sometimes these chicken with a side of broccoli is just broccoli w chicken which yk I'm a fan of broccoli but girl I bought chicken..... where's it....

#lindsay speaks #it's also funny when on the box it's like fresh grilled chicken and then in reality it's like a meat cube KFHGH like girl that is chicken #for salad..... which reminds me to get my fav salad again...#i haven't recently cause i can't get it delivered <- is cheaper than taking an uber to the store #but I'm going to force myself to leave the house next weekend instead of just chillin at the house #it's just hard because I'm on my feet 7-8 hours a day 5 days a week n I'm at work for 9-10 hours counting commute if i take the bus and ghg #taking the bus on weekends means being out of the house for 3-4 hours... so if i sleep in (til 11am) leave at 1pm... the bus does the final #round past my house at 3:10pm so i gotta be at the store bus stop again by 2:20pm and ghfhgjj.... so no sleep in??I'll DIE FR W NO SLEEP IN #all that to say man I'm just trying to eat yummy food 🙏🙏🙏🙏

ate a burger and fries and a liter of coke and it was so good and i was so sick and so sad that briefly i. u know what im not gonna make a joke abt americans i just want yall to know that we can make it if we have burger on our side

#next week ill try this new vegan vegetarian place that opened near campus i hope its good #mason jar salads are a gamechanger for dorm life btw. dressing on the bottom meats and hard veggies on top and then leafies on top for maxi #um crunch and freshness i ate the same salad two days in a row and it was still good and crunchy<3333 also grapes in salads are the best #also candying walnuts is easier than i thought and theyre so good #i like cooking #im debating whether to bake smth for my fav classes at the end of the sem especially since one prof is hosting a party #except its like 30-50 ppl per class so i prob shouldn't commit to that or should at least bake smth small and transportable #since i dont have a kitchen or oven or anything in the dorm. maybe like tiny cookies or smth idk ?? hmmz

I tried the Walmart Deli Freshness Guaranteed White Meat Chicken Salad With Cranberries, Celery, and Pecans.

This chicken salad was pretty good.

This chicken salad tasted fresh and the chicken was shredded in texture.

The mayo used made this chicken salad smooth and creamy while the cranberries gave this chicken salad a light sweetness to it.

The pecans gave this chicken salad a light salty crunchiness that went well with the sweetness of the cranberries and the celery.

The celery was crunchy also.

The was lightly sweet and salty.

I will eat this again.

Got at Walmart in the deli section where the deli is and where the coleslaw and the refrigerated pizza's are.

only problem with cooking from the heart is I will make something new and will like it sooooooo so so fucking much and know I will get it wrong the next time and disappoint only myself

#i got an immersion blender from a friend and made Green Slop (boiled broccoli cauliflower bok choy and green cabbage)#flavoured it with dill salt garlic powder and some seasame thai salad dressing and oh my gooooood it was so good #it was also like. 2 servings if veggies in 1/2 cup lmao. my math could be off bcus i onky measured out. 1 cup. of. veggies.#the rest was my Hand. could have been anywhete from 2 cups to 3 in that pot bcus it fits like. up to 8 cups of water and i could barely stir #any way. best gift ever.#i struggle to cook actually nutrient dense meals because like. oh my god the effort into making frozen vegtabkes taste good.#and the fucling cost of fresh ones?#and i despise the texture of most boiled and steamed veggies unless theyre to the point where it may as well be mush ANY WAY #and at the poiny its unappetizing bcus its mush ykwim?#any way. Green Slop is much more appealing to me then Green Much #bcus as a kid wed have slop for dinner (leftover meat and veggies from the week reheated in the oven tossed in a bowl of fresh mashed #potatoes and packaged gravy. it was GOOD. GOD. ESPECIALLY AROUND THE HOLIDAYS. Hey, friends, there's a BIG recall going on in the US of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products that are potentially contaimated with Listeria. The products in question were sold to restaurants and other commercial institutions, but a lot of them were used in products like ready-to-eat salads or freezer meals — HEB, Trader Joes, and Fresh Express are just some of the companies that have been identified so far.

FSIS, the branch of the USDA that regulates these items, has a list of products that would have been sold in groceries and convenience stores, though I recommend checking back since it looks like the list is a work in progress. https://www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls-alerts/brucepac-recalls-ready-eat-meat-and-poultry-products-due-possible-listeria.

Look for "51025" or "P-51025" on the USDA inspection stamp that should be on the packaging.
