Hamami Kids Like Snow?! [浜見っこは雪がお好き？！]

T/N: the title is kind of hard to translate directly, “Hamamikko” could mean something to the effect of “Hamami Showdown/Competition” and “yuki ga suki” simply means “likes snow”. It could also simply mean “The kids of Hamami like snow?!”. Or a pun of both.

Chapter 1:

Genshin: Hmm that’s not right, more... no... P-chan: Genshin-san, you’re still up? Genshin: Ah, sorry, is it’s lights out time already? I’ll turn the lights off when I go back, may I stay here a little longer? P-chan: I’m alright with that but... is it... about lyrics for the new song? Genshin: Yeah... well... As you can see the snow’s really piled up, so cars can’t move and it’ll probably cause problems with work tomorrow. Komugi: It looks like it’s going to be colder tonight so if we leave it it might freeze over. Hiro: If everyone chips in it’s be over in a jiffy, no? Let’s get it over with quickly and go play! Zen: Guess it can’t be helped eh? Let me show you my awesome snow shoveling powers! Uta: ...tsk. Genshin: Uta, I know it’s troublesome but this is our responsibility to the dorm. I’ll work at it too so let’s do this quickly so we can go back? Uta: Yeah I get it I don’t need you to tell me. Dammit, our rare off day is ruined! Shuusou: C’mon, I’ve split the work accordin’ ta school. I’ll henceforth announce the areas yer responsible for!

Junnosuke: Uh-, you’re right! I got way too excited ‘cause of the snow~. Anyway snowball fight! Ah, what about building a snowman? Mitsuki: Well I understand why Junnosuke is excited because of the snow. I kind of want to build a snowman too. Komugi: If we just gather up what we have here, we could probably build a giant snowman! Azusa: Indeed we could probably build a snow hut couldn’t we. But for today we’ve got to do a snowball fight. There’s still snow in the yard, so after we’ve shoveled, why don’t we play in there? Junnosuke: Eh, what a waste of the snow here! Just a little while! C’mon Azusa-san!! Uta: ...Stupid. If you’re going to play around without clearing out the snow then I’m going back to my room. Genshin: A- Oi, Uta-! Uta! Hang on! Uta: I deign to come out and do this shit but they’re just messing around. Coming out on a day like this, what’re you going to do if I get a sore throat huh!? Genshin: Don’t be like that... This means we’ll have no problem with getting to work tomorrow as well. Junnosuke: Yay! Mission: Snow Shoveling, cleared! And so, now... Uta: We’re finally done. ...So now there’ll be no complaints if I go back to my room right. Let’s go back, Gen. Genshin: Ah, coming--- Junnosuke: Aaah, hold it right there! Junnosuke: Aiii-----!? Uta: Hah, you have no idea how to make a snowball! Such a loose snowball packs no punch! Genshin: U-uta? Uta: Let moi teach you how to have a real snowball fight! I’m not holding back! Junnosuke: Aaaahhhhh! Wai-, that really hurts! What is this?! Mitsuki: Wah, why me too!? C-cold, Kamijo-san, hold up! Uta: Do you have any fighting spirit at all! I’m going to keep coming at you! Genshin: U-uta, uh, slow down a bit... Uta: Gen, make a wall! PRONTO! Genshin: A... wall? Uta: Komugi, you make the snowballs. Uta: Typically you’re out once you get hit but maybe let’s give you a free pass, eh? No need for rules! A no-holds-barred snowball-throwing contest, the last man standing wins! Junnosuke: Whaaat, this is mega scary! At least have it be the one landing the most hits wins!

I’m going to bring down Zen! Riku: Geez why’re you so into it? Guess it can’t be helped... Junnosuke: Zen-chan’s hereee! Perfect reinforcement! Over here, over here, join our team! Zen: Oh were you waiting for me? Hahahah, let the great Zen handle it! Mitsuki: Hiro, join us too! Uta and gang are super strong! Hiro: O’ course! Zen: We’re not done yet, sending out another assault! Genshin: Team, make sure not to leave the wall! Shuusou: Oooi, y’all! Have sum sense an’ come inside, yer gonna catch a cold! Junnosuke: Eehh, but we don’t have a victor yet? Uta: Indeed. No way we’re stopping here! ...A-choo! Genshin: Uta! W-why don’t we wrap it up. If you stay out in the cold much longer and get a sore throat we’ll be in trouble. Uta: ...humph, can’t be helped. Shuusou: C’mon kiddos, in ya go, in ya go! Junnosuke: Uwwuu, cold, cold! Why does it suddenly feel so cold... Mitsuki: It really does. We warmed up ‘cause we were moving so much, but the moment we stop it feels much colder. Shuusou: Ya see, let’s get y’all in the baths so ya don’ catch a cold eh~. Uta: ...I’m going back to my room for a bit. Shuusou: Alrighty, warm up a spell and make sure ya take ya bath, yeah? Uta: That’s none of your business. I’ll go take one when all the noisy idiots are gone. Uta: ...the day passed just like that. We spent the whole day outside huh. Genshin: Oh, there you are... Uta! I brought a towel, you should towel your hair, it’s all wet. Uta: Ok. ...we finally had an off day and we wasted the whole day away. Genshin: Really? I didn’t think so. I got to see a side of you we don’t normally see... Uta: ...? Did I do something odd? Genshin: Ah... no, nothing. It’s just that... I just thought of some good lyrics. Uta: ...? Humph, than hurry up and write it down. Genshin: Ah, hold on a sec, Uta.
