He frowns. Tom did say (Bruce doesn't want to sound mean, but it did convey more like bragging) he just adopted a few boys. "But you're adopted by the richest man in Gotham. Why come here?"

Dick huffs, " He's gonna throw us out the minute he wins the election. Plus, this was OUR house before you moved in. This is Catherine's house. We're not moving."

Jason, a tiny little thing, steps forward, tear marks drying on his hollow cheeks. " ...You need to make sweets. Those blueberry fudge cakes you make when you're sad."

Bruce accepts. " But you have to tell me everything. Deal?"

psa i don't care if it's about clark kent or jason todd or another fandom even, real parents ≠ bio parents. adoptive parents ≠ foster parents.

the way you refer to a person's adopted parents in general conversation or headcanons is the word "parents." if you need to distinguish between birth parents and adoptive parents, you use just that-- birth or bio, adoptive or foster (depending on situation). neither of them are distinguished as the "real" parents because they are all the real parents.

you do not correct an irl adoptee or foster kid with this-- they get to decide how they want to refer to relationships in their own real life. but in fiction, in fiction that has established someone as an adoptive parent and a person as an adoptee, real isn't the right word to use to clarify.

Billy Batson and the Super Sons Sleepover Party

Good evening, y'all. I am comfy in my bed with my plush frog from Build-A-Bear, and I got thinking. Man. I missed out on sleepover parties as a kid.

And then. Bam. Billy Batson ideas came popping in.

What if Billy Batson, pen pal/frenemy to Damian Wayne, was invited to a sleepover at his house after months of talking to each other through a school sponsored pen pal service? I think they'd be good friends, but also, imagine Billy not knowing Damian is Robin and meeting Jon Kent, Damian's other friend, at that sleepover at Damian's house.

Bruce and the batfam are happy that Damian is making normal friends who aren't involved in the superhero business.

Damian is glad to finally meet his pen pal/frenemy in person, and to talk all about animals with Billy. And also, prove Billy Batson wrong that Batman is better than Super man in a face-to-face argument.

And Jon is just happy to be there.

The hilarious shenanigans that could ensue from Billy being inside the Wayne manor, trying not to reveal his magical identity as Captain Marvel while also noticing a strange magical energy source in downtown Gothom...that may or may not be a malicious threat to everyone.

There's also the option of a scenario where Billy's identity as Captain Marvel is known to the league and Super boy and Robin are allowed over to Victor and Rosa's house for a sleepover with the shazamily.

Damian would easily get annoyed by Freddy, but also impressed by his collection of information on heroes and Eugene's technological intelligence. Super Boy and Darla would be fast friends, 100%. Pedro tried to lift more weights than Jon. Mary would be the responsible one in charge and make sure the others don't stay up too late or watch any horror movies. Billy sneaks in a horror movie.

And I am cackling at the thought of Dr. Sivana choosing this as the time to attack the city, now having to face the wrath of not only the shazamily, but also two sons of major superheroes in their pajamas, furious that their sleepover was ruined.

I know from personal experience that when you're seeking out mental health care, you're often used to thinking of yourself as someone who doesn't ~need~ it and the dominant narrative in culture does demonize mental illness and if you can't pass for NT, you're in the category of ~crazy~ and therefore unworthy of sympathy.

ok so i just watched Thor: Love and Thunder and this is the only way i can express my opinions on it so here you go:

WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED??????

this is literally the most bizarre movie i’ve ever seen but i had such a fun time watching it. the fact that he gave a bunch of children the power of Thor is insane and they all had glowing eyes and the little girls bunny had glowing eyes and it was absolutely crazy.

Tessa Thompson is the love of my life and i’ll here no hate towards her. i don’t really like Natalie Portman as Jane but she was pretty alright in the movie so. Thor was an absolute idiot is this movie honestly but i loved it, it was so fun and ridiculous to see all the shit he said and did. oh yeah and Korg is the best character in this movie and i can we can all agreed, yeah?

also ROY FUCKING KENT IS HERCULES WHY ARENT WE TALKING BOUT THIS????

hey marvel, buddy, give me a movie with brett goldstein as hercules swearing the entire time and i’ll be happy for life, i swear i’ll buy all the tickets to all your movies i promise.
