ok, i got this ask ten days ago, and I've been thinking about it ever since. Because I got two other asks asking for fiddauthor, and I dON'T KNOW HOW TO LET THEM DOWN LIGHTLY BECAUSE I'M A FIDDLESTAN BITCH THROUGH AND THROUGH 😭😭😭😭 I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!!!!

Don't get me wrong, fiddauthor is great and makes sense and everything. But listen. Billford and fiddauthor are multidimensional ships, they are good! But FIDDLESTAN!?!? that shit is the WHAT-THE-HECK-A-HEDRON!!!!!!! Even though it's literally 100% speculation, the implications are FUCKING CRAZY!!!!!!!!! I jumped between three ships so far during this gravity falls thing, each time thinking one is better than the other. I've decided that FIDDLESTAN IS KING!!!!!! I'm sorry. I could rant about them forever. I've been listening to nothing but extended versions of disco music for the past week. (YES THEY HAD A CRAZY ROMANTIC FLING IN VEGAS NO I WILL NOT ELABORATE!!!! This is Fords breaking point? After everything? It's been over a decade since he's seen Stanley. He has no reason or intention to contact him. After all this time, he's still angry at him. And yet, Bill using his body, his voice, to tell Stanley that he hates him and never loved him is too much, too horrible even for Bill. THIS is what forces Ford to take action. AFTER EVERYTHING. Stanford never became friends with Fiddleford.

Instead he got himself a different small friend group who cares a lot about him. At least about the Ford he pretended to be in college.

A kind, soft spoken formerly bullied genius who researches very dull stuff in Oregon and definitely not anything weird. Their Ford would never break any rules or ignore safety measures [unlike that other student they heard about during their college years.]

And then Ford stops answering their calls and loses his grant. 

It’s time for an intervention and they start pestering Ford with letters and calls until he finally agrees to meet them at a science convention, but he’ll take his brother with him.

They’re relieved! Ford is with Shermie! They like Shermie! It's a good thing that Ford still has one brother who isn't a good for nothing selfish criminal who destroyed his entire future!

If they ever get their hands on Ford’s evil twin they’ll make sure he’ll regret ever messing with their friend. Ford is too nice for revenge. They aren’t.

Meanwhile at the not-yet Mystery Shack, the Stans freshly survived their own angsty canon divergent tale of two stans AU and locked Bill out of Ford's mind like a week ago.

Stan: I don’t know how long Ford will keep me around but this will be good for him. He needs some friends to take care of him after I inevitably get kicked out again!

Ford: I only agreed to this because Stan insisted and I still haven’t found a way to thank him and apologize. I hope all my “friends” die in a fire.

Working on my fic and just noticed while looking at a scene from the Tale of Two Stans episode that Ford didn't install the 3 key mechanism that Soos, Dipper, and Mabel activate in Not What He Seems. Ford only had the big lever. STAN installed the keys. So that begs the question, who did he think would be there to help him start the portal? He'd been mostly alone up to the point before Dipper and Mabel.

So there's a few likely options.

1. He installed the mechanism after meeting Dipper and Mabel. He planned to explain and have them help at the end with the last step, but then the CIA shows up and throws his plans off balance (could be likely, but he only planned to explain right before being arrested. If that was always the plan it wouldn't have felt so impulsive narratively)

2. The mechanism was meant for Soos. Soos had been close to him since he was 11 years old, basically a pseudo father figure. The mechanism only TECHNICALLY requires 2 people since one person can use 2 hands. So I think that Stan mightve told soos if the kids hadn't shown up. (Seems like the more likely candidate)

3. Stan has a 3rd arm we've never seen.

Oh, that's ripe with implications, yes!

The best part is that Bill wouldn't recognize why his first instinct was to head for his husband - but Dipper sure would.

….. How do you think ford would be with teasing? His partner wandering up behind him(not without verbally alerting him of their presence of course) and holding him close with a case of wandering hands? Maybe he’s sitting down and your chin is on his shoulder, you’re happily listening to him talk but your hand dips lower than it should. Or maybe they trail higher, around where his nipples would be, if they’re sensitive any. Any slightly erroneous area is smoothed over with your palms and fingers, through his layers of clothes. You’re nonchalant about it, pretending as if there’s nothing astray in your intentions, as if it’s all innocent touch and innocent conversation. Maybe you finally palm at him properly and give him an inch rather than a mile— maybe murmuring a bit of praise if it’s appropriate.

I think it would be fun for him, especially if he's already working when you do it.

It would be cute to do if he's already doing something else while he's sat down. You'd have to determine if he was in the right mood first, because I think sometimes when he's working he'd want to be left alone to concentrate, but if he was just doing paperwork or something more menial then he'd welcome the interruption.

Making him keep up his task as you did it would be really fun. Just to see how much you'd be able to distract him. Then you'd be able to survey his work and praise him appropriately while keeping up the façade of it all being perfectly innocent.

Okay, so I JUST finished Season 3 of Leverage- but I have to rewatch Season 3 (my mom wants to watch the season with me- I got way too excited and I couldn't wait to watch it.) Anyway, I'm rewatching Season 1 episode 1- (just because.)

Anyway- after watching them grow with each other- going back and hearing them not wanting to work together is hilarious.

Like when the bomb went off; who went out first? Parker, Hardison, and Eliot.

When Hardison tripped? Eliot pulled him up.

In the hospital? They kept Eliot in the same room as Nate. They had Hardison and Parker share a same room.

When they went and collected Sophie; All their expressions were accurate and haven't changed.

It was suppose to be a one and done. Walk away. Clean their hands of each other.

But their bad guys and sometimes bad guys are sometimes the only good guys.

They can't walk away.
