a very funky new slime mold found while fungling with my partner yesterday 💛

I think it might be Physarum luteolum, although i cannot find a record of this species in Aotearoa 🤔 it wouldnt be my first time finding a species that was previously unrecorded here, as slime molds are so numerous, and easily overlooked as a result of their size !!

In June of 2022, I was going through all of the emotions watching Love Mechanics, KinnPorsche, To My Star 2, and Old Fashion Cupcake and here I am in October of 2024 feeling all the emotions from another YinWar series (Jack & Joker), another Thai series that has me screaming every episode (Peaceful Property), and another Korean piece directed by Hwang Da-Seul (Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo) with some GLs sprinkled on top (Reverse 4 U and The Loyal Pin).

This month will now be considered Cry-tober because every day I'm crying in the club.

Kai probably gets such baby fever when looking at photos of little nya. Like he sees her big eyes and little nose and has a "my shayla" moment. He remembers holding her and carrying her around everywhere but he forgot how small she used to be so the cuteness aggression gets so bad he almost lights the montesary on fire when he's reminded of how little his sister actually was.

Nya makes fun of him for it but she gets the same way when seeing photos of little kai and his porcupine spikes.

can you explain why knives needed vash for his plan? is vash's power giving plants life?

So from what I gather, Vash is unique in his ability to both give and take from the higher dimension, which is the place where all plants get their energy from, and that's what humans use them for. (This is also where Conrad says their souls are instead of their bodies (possible bullshit, given the unreliable narrators we have), and also given Vash's conversation with Rem in episode 12 it's possibly connected to the afterlife???) Or, at the very least, Vash is different from most other plants, as they can only take. His power has been compared to something black hole-like, but I won't bore you with quantum physics since we don't know exactly what they mean by that yet, exactly.

In order to access and enter the higher dimension to rip souls free and shove them into the plants' bodies to birth independent plants, Knives needed to use Vash as a gate, as a tool, to open Vash up and let himself in so he could funnel that power out through Vash.

At least, that's just what I've gathered from watching Tristamp... way too many times and reading meta as I go. I'm probably a bit off in this explanation, so anyone feel free to add on anything I missed! I think we're going to get way more in-depth in the following season/s with the plot threads left hanging after episode twelve. Hopefully this makes sense! :'D

Weird question, but you're the only Erik expert I know, and I can't be asked to go through my comics, so what kind of shoes does he wear when he's in civilian clothes?

Because I feel like he's too posh for trainers and not posh enough for captoes.

if you talkin Civilian Clothes as in Everyday Going Out clothes he's pretty 'formal' and neat about his style i'm pretty sure: think polos, dress shirts, turtlenecks, and the like, so it probably would be fitting he wears dress shoes (if not at least sleek leather ankle boots) more times than not actually

Cale and the lcf crew got kidnapped (lol) to react to cale (not)hero life.

Suddenly the door was opened by someone on the outside. A muscular man with a lot of scars came in while talking on something the crew doesnt recognize, except for the two person in the room. It seems like the man still doesnt notice them until he closed the door...and turned around.

Cue kim roksoo walking in on them and not noticing until it's too late. Cale and kim roksoo's eyes clashed, but our team leader wore the 'i-dont-know-you-im-just-a-stranger' mask, smile, bow and apologize politely(formally) to them before excusing himself to leave. He turned and twisted the doorknob...

IT DOESNT BUDGE.

He tried another door...it doesnt budge.

He faced them and with a polite smile, asked for the key so that he can leave and wont bother them anymore.

The answer of course, none. Nobody can open the door except the god.

The smile doesnt fall, everyone pitied the man who got stuck with them.

...Until that said man pulled out a fucking rifle (still with the unchanging smile of course).

Hello! I've been kind of vanished, and I'm not confident I'm fully back yet, but I'm feeling noticeably less frazzled, and I'm ready to start catching up on the backlog of what I've been doing! To start with, I went mad with my new homeowner power and decided to paint a room. And then I decided to paint it a WILD color. And then I decided I also wanted to learn how to panel a wall. All by myself, with a hard deadline before my aunt gifted me a pile of old furniture that was going to take the room from empty to full. It was very cool and fun, but oh my god

Also, most of the paint work quality in my home is uhhhhh indifferent, so i had some fun soeed bumps like having to cut an old mirror off the back of my door and finding at least two color strata of it being painted into place (even after filling and sanding and priming and painting, i can still see the shadow, but that's a problem for future me to continue addressing). And I picked a REALLY dark green. I knew that taking a dark color back to white would need a lot of coats, but I.... did not consider that going from white to almost black would be equally bad, even with toned primer.

If I was doing this again, I think I would have attached the paneling after that first coat. But I think I was still underestimating how many coats it would take to darken bright white material, even with sanding for better grip. And the caulking almost broke me! My secret strategy to picking up new skills is always to underestimate how complicated they are, then power through on pride and stubbornness, but this tested me, haha

But I really love it! It's been done for a few weeks, so I've been dragging furniture into the room and steeling myself to drill holes for the curtain rod, and the Horrors have faded and I'm considering painting another guest room. I adore this color (salamander) to pieces, and I still have another gallon, but I'm not sure I want to commit to all this again. But.... the effect is soooooo restful, and it looks SO luxe, especially with the colored outlets and wall register. It's not going to be in my next paint project, but it may come up again!
