On the one hand, deciding to do a herringbone pattern probably increased the floor renovation project time by 4-5 hours. On the other hand, my library floor is going to look bomb as hell (just as soon as I run to Home Depot for more flooring because I ran out 😬). We’ll do black grout in here as well. And once the floor is done…I can start building bookshelves 🎉🎉🎉

4 new floor tiles handmade and prettied up with public domain patterns that can pep up any granny kitchen. Why, yes, I randomly clicked on some tiles to make it look all wonky! Even had my eyes closed sometimes! Look ma, no peeking.

They are sorted by shape. You find them in flooring > tiles. Keep in mind some of them need more space to show the full pattern. I put Mathilda on .25 scale so try that one in a 4x4 room. Meanwhile Simone's swatches can be combined to create new patterns entirely. The whole set is fun.

Turning the boring basement bedroom into a kickass office for B (/guest room). Pt. 1. I pulled up all the carpet. Laid my fake wood planks with T spacers. Grouted like there was no tomorrow. Tomorrow we do a dry clean and then seal and then hopefully on Christmas we can start moving down the pile of stuff currently staged in our living room. :)

If you were wondering, Deacon spent most of this project thus far standing awkwardly on the stairs looking as pathetic as possible because I wouldn’t let him walk around on A. The floor with naked nails and tack strips all over the place, B the just-cleaned-and-ready-for-flooring-floor, or C. the actively-being-grouted-floor. Truly god gives the heaviest burdens to the strongest soldiers.
