Then looking at literally any other young adult and being like "oh...is it a henituse thing?"

Random Unpopular Opinion

Sometimes I wish, og!cale would just could leave everything and everyone behind for a time...or forever. Or have an amnesia for a time or...also forever. I'm trying to find a some point in canon when or where he did things for himself. Not for others, even for his family. Just himself. For such a background character, his relationships are complex but also exhausting. But since he is not the hero, we all just get crumbs and unfortunately, that leads a lot of theories about him (and his immediate groups). If he doesn't yet need an in-lore and canon competent therapist, he also needs a long and relaxing vacation. And yeah, I'm sure KRS would love to hang in that vacation too. o

Dragon Rok Soo AU where, when the switch between Cale and him happens, KRS’s soul fires off in the wrong direction, and lands in a small, deep cave, the bottom of a giant and complex cave system… inside of an ancient dragon egg.

A small, wine red dragon. So small and weak that, for a dragon, it’s a pathetic creature. In the original story, this fragile and decrepit existence would’ve died alone and unable to escape.

Cale’s 40 yr soul did end up in Rok Soo’s body, so what happened to the Cale that Rok Soo was meant to transmigrate into?

That’s right. The small fragile dragon. It’s intelligence is that of a dragon, and after quietly observing the Henituse household, it steals the clothes of a worker, changes its appearance (because, obviously, it’s a dragon and its use of magic is connected inherently to its soul), and disappears from the Henituse house like he hadn’t been there. As a dragon, escaping even Ron’s expert assassin eyes is child’s play.

Meanwhile KRS, whose soul is far from that of a dragon and cannot use mana nearly as intrinsically, uses small explosions to slowly make his way to the surface. His body is weak and he barely escapes before starvation makes his body succumb.

He discovers that, 1) he’s in the Forest of Darkness, 2) Choi Han must have gone through this area recently because it’s full of corpses, 3) there’s this weird giant rock?

His soul can accept the Super Rock, which confuses the Ancient Power, but KRS enters the house and sleeps in the largest bed after finding something small to kill and eat outside. It’s disgusting, but even rolling around in cow shit would be better than death, so KRS endures.

Ofc KRS would then go and get Vitality of the Heart next, (because his baby body is so weak that he prioritizes it over the Indestructible shield) send Cage and Taylor in the direction of the capital, and make his way through the plot in a scattered and random manner because now he’s a DRAGON. To save Raon he needs those clippers for the mana restriction device, which means he’ll need a way to communicate with Billos, which means he’ll need money.

Those wrinkles will need ironed out but I just love the idea of a small dragon being Rok Soo, who isn’t actually a scary powerful dragon but because of their reputation he scares everyone into thinking he is anyway.

Plus he’s a small cute creature so he can ofc manipulate Choi Han into doing whatever he wants (protecting people COUGH COUGH) so KRS can peacefully turn his tiny weak dragon body into an intense ticking time bomb by adding strenuous AP’s to it.

Fanfics where Rok Soo meets Og!Cale or gets to know him more and is like "this guy is actually precious, he should be protected at all cost" are one of my favorite things.

Like: Yes. He is, indeed, very precious. Thanks for noticing.

Rok Soo is always surrounded by people who would kill him or kill for him. For him, Og!Cale is an oddity with little to none bloodlust (the little is WS, yes) and easy to deal with. His most difficult trait is his cryptid ways, which is just confusing, not an actual treat. He's a fresh breeze.

But the easy he is to convince to help is concerning (for Rok Soo only). What if someone takes advantage on him? (Again, only Rok Soo worries about this).

Cale actually has standards about who to help and when to ask something in exchange, Rok Soo is just unaware of them.

TCF Headcanon/Theory - Cale and Rok Soo, Two That Were Once One

The story starts with the Red Dragon. After the Red Dragon passed away, the soul was reincarnated over and over across different worlds as a natural part of the life cycle. Until one reincarnation, the said soul split into two when they were born as twins. Ever since then, one soul became two, and the reincarnation cycle continues. Many years and many reincarnations later, finally, those two souls found their way back to the world of the Red Dragon. Both of them were supposed to be born in the same year or even the same day. But the tragedy struck again. The White Star, Cale Barrow stole the birth of one soul, pushing it out to reincarnate in its supposed body. The said soul, naturally got reincarnated in another world as Kim Rok Soo. Meanwhile, its twin was born as Cale Henituse.

Due to the White Star's contact with Kim Rok Soo's soul, a part of his curse affects Kim Rok Soo. However, it wasn't just him being affected by it. His twin soul, Cale Henituse also affected by it. Think about it, the future that the forty-year-old Original Cale Henituse told us. He also is the sole survivor among the people that he cherishes. Doesn't the parallel and the similarity hit a bit too close? Maybe that's why the switch went so smoothly.

Anyway, that is my headcanon. I personally don't like the ‘Kim Rok Soo is Cale Henituse’ as in Kim Rok Soo is his 2nd life AU. I consider Original Cale Henituse and Original Kim Rok Soo to be two different individuals. They are similar in some aspects but also very different in others. However, sometimes I feel like their roots are a bit too similar, and their connection runs a bit too deep than merely soul-swapping partners. Hence this headcanon was born. (I also like the Cale is the reincarnation of the Red Dragon and Twin Cale AU so…)

A lot of people try to make Kim Rok Soo's past as miserable as possible, but I don't think that's true. Not only does he not have the full curse of the White Star, but I feel that it would be more miserable of a life if a reaching hand was always just out of reach.

So, this is my proposal: krs is a child that did not slip through the system. He was helped by it, but every attempt to help failed due to White Star's diluted curse. That is much more tragic in my opinion.
