I absolutely love your brain and this analysis goes so hard (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠) I've never really thought about it that way before

Also the fact that he seeks validation, a lot more than he cares to admit, is so bittersweet as well

What i mean is that he never really accepted himself as cale henituse, until OG Cale told him that it was okay to do it (i forgot which chapter it was but it's in the latter half of the novel)

And the reactions his people have to things is always on the forefront in TCF, because Cale places a lot of importance on it imo

And it's probably why he hates "insincere" appreciation like fanaticism, these people don't know him, so he doesn't feel like their words are real. I mean, how can someone who doesn't know anything about you, be able to validate you and your experiences???
